Staff were not attentive and seemed to be unaware that you required service even though we requested a menu. Ordered pizza, salad and fries. At 50 minutes we still had not been served even though we had asked what had happened to our order. In the end I asked for a refund. Other tables were also experiencing a long wait. What a shame as we were really looking forward to the meal

One of the pretties cafe in London and other Elan cafes as well. I would definitely recommend going to have a nice drinks or lunch with friends or family, but not so often since the food and drinks are pricey.

Unacceptable standard of furnishings. Most of the chairs are seriously distressed. Not good enough, given you are charging well over going rate for latte (£3.75)

Delicious food, and very friendly staff. The food was very authentic and the service was great. The prices were extremely reasonable. Would come again!

After a challenging weekend in the New Forest, (not the Forest’s fault) we decided to try and salvage something by having a posh afternoon tea at Burley Manor before returning home. We rang and booked the day before as wifey is both vegetarian and GF, and we wanted to give them a fighting chance. I wish we hadn’t bothered. Let’s start with the parking - there isn’t any if your vehicle is bigger than a small family gadabout. We were in our motorhome, and ended up parking in a field that was open for a separate event. Burley Manor assured us this was fine, and that neither gate (big or small) would be locked. You guessed it - wrong , but we squeezed out thanks to wifey’s skilful driving and steely nerve. Then let’s talk about the perfectly coiffed member of staff who seated us, took our drinks order, sent somebody else over with them, then ignored us for nigh on 45 mins. Finally our afternoon tea arrived and was placed by a disdainful waiter, who when he was confused about who’s was who’s and I pointed out the ramifications of getting it wrong snapped, ‘well I didn’t take the order, did I?’ The food itself was fine, just fine, not excellent or amazing, and certainly not worth £61! When we challenged our disdainful waiter on the horrific wait, he was more than happy to throw his colleagues under the bus, saying that his previous establishment had been much more professional! His excuse was that they had had been overbooked for lunch and had several afternoon tea bookings. They had our phone number, if they couldn’t handle the number of guests, they shouldn’t have taken the booking, or they should have cancelled us. To be honest, the nice man who had accidentally locked us in the field, on his Penny farthing and talked about deer and pigs, but reassured us we would easily get Buzzy the motorhome out was the highlight of the whole debacle, and he didn’t work for Burley Manor!

Beware of this Coppa Club, I've visited a few times in the past month. Each visit I had included an unwelcome visit in my drink. I'm sure you can guess by the title of this review it was ants. I was appalled by this and thought it was just one those things the first time it happened but it seems every time I visit there are bloody ants in my drink. Not to mention the bullying between the servers & the extremely poor service as it would take nearly 25 minutes to receive drinks I expressed this to a manager and they just said we are about busy when the place was not even half full, probably due to the servers not concentrating on the job at hand as they're arguing with eachother and seem extremely stressed. I would not recommend anyone come here. Even the food was not cooked properly twice I've had to send back my steaks as they're overcooked. Please beware of this establishment if you're going to do a special event.

The eatery was virtually empty at 3:00 pm. We were seated promptly but was left waiting for over 30 mins. No one came over to take our order. The kitchen lights were soo dim, that you would question if it was the front of house staff were warming up the tapas on top of their front of house responsibilities. After 40 mins of waiting and hearing a lady complain about the food being tepid we left. I’ll be sticking with the branch at Bluewater.

Appalling. Service slow, but polite front of house. Measly portions, cold food (twice), rice cold when put on table. Told not paying for the cold meal and they forgot to take it off. Starter was not complete. Don’t bother going. No manager and chef doesnt seem to care what he prepares.

We had a quite fine dinner, the food was good but not excellent, the staff looked inexperienced but kind and gentle that s more important.

“I think we’re due a Nando’s” (Byrne, J. 2023) Yes, I think you’re right. I had barely woken up, only just began a coffee, and my day was already sorted. I jumped in shower like a man on fire. With hair still damp, I rushed to the car and drove within the speed limit to the Byrne’s house - the man who had started this early afternoon frenzy. Blackpool or Wales? I posed the question, waited with excitement as he answered ‘wales of course’ with a laugh as he said it. He thought this was a joke. A joke! You think I joke about Nando’s?!? As we drove towards the M58 on this surprisingly hot day, he noticed this was not the way to our usual Nando’s. The Nando’s of the checkshirt. The Nando’s of the coast. A Nando’s with some character. The Byrne said ‘wait are we not going to southport’ I said ‘no, I don’t joke about Nando’s!’ Alas, however, north wales was no longer an option, just as I don’t joke about Nando’s - I don’t kidnap either. Aintree. That was our new destination. Hurtling down the m58 at 72mph (yes I’m that bad) we arrived in no time. We were welcomed by the pink haired flair infused server. She asked us where we wanted to sit, taken aback by such a freedom I had never before been afforded we said ‘oh I don’t mind’. Truth was, I did mind, but I hadn’t had chance to survey the restaurant, I didn’t know where was best, what if we chose a bad place, the ramifications don’t bear thinking about. She persisted, forcing us into a choice, and out in the distance we saw a booth- the best place to perch when munching on chicken. It was a good choice, and the ordering began. A pleasant surprise awaited me before checking out on the Nando’s app- I had a red reward - my the divine hand of Nando’s had reached down and touched me. A gift. A miracle. The Byrne, however, waited to order, hopeful of an extra glass being provided when mine was brought. Nando’s were a step ahead. In record time my order was brought to me but even I was left glassless! I had paid the £3.50 for the soft drink, but yet I had no glass from which to drink. I enquired to the waitress who brought my scran, she was right on it and handed it to me as I collected my utensils. Yes, you read that right. I had received my food before even having got utensils. They caught me off guard, the delayed drink and quick food - was this some sort of parallel universe I had stumbled into? I pushed those thoughts aside, onto the food. Yeah, was nice I suppose :).

I can honestly say this was the worst experience I have ever had in terms of food and customer service. I attended on a Thursday evening in December with work colleagues for our Christmas party. We paid £40 a head so although I recognise the food limitations of large parties, I expected a certain standard for this price. Firstly the food. Starters were luke warm. You could stand a spoon up in my oily soup. Turkey was full of gristle. Cheesecake was a strange texture and inedible. Worse than that though, a vegetarian in our group was told then had run out of her pre ordered option. As an alternative she was given a plate of potatoes and carrots. They had no vegetarian gravy. Someone else in the group was a vegan and despite asking for options in advance, was not given a reply. What she was given on the night was really poor. We faked to speak to the manager. He declined initially. Eventually he agreed to talk to us but wouldn’t come to the table to see the problem. He names his event manager and blamed it on her. She wasn’t there to defend herself. He then blamed an agency chef. When my colleague said the experience did not make us want to stay and spend even more money to which he replied ‘bye then. You lot just want free drinks’. So rude. We stayed as there was nowhere else nearby to go. About 20 minutes from the end the waiting staff appeared with a few bottles of cheap wine. The waiting staff I have to say were polite and apologetic. I felt really sorry for them as their manager did nothing to support them. I will never set foot in that place again. It was so poor I was almost speechless. Worst food and customer service I have e we had. It was like fawlty towers.
