The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Birmingham West Midlands

Perfect. I've eaten many places in Birmingham. Basically everywhere doing Japanese food as well as some Michelin places and I think this is my favorite. Phenomenal food and really friendly personable service. Love it

I’ve been here a few times now and I always love coming! The vibe of the restaurant is lovely and calming, staff are always really friendly and the food is delicious! It’s my favourite place to eat sushi.

Located right in front of Chinatown, found this place as I wanted to have spicy ramen. Ordered only Tan Tan Ramen and it’s very good! Not too strong broth and the spicy is just nice. Highly recommend if you looking for nice ramen outside of Bullring Mall.

**UPDATE - Sadly now closed!** Incredible experience! Wonderful service, absolutely amazing food, excellent quality drinks. We went for the bottomless summer menu, tried all the vegetarian dishes which were all outstanding and amazing value. The staff were really attentive and warm. Best Japanese food we’ve had outside of Japan! Made our wedding anniversary extremely special and we can’t wait to visit again with friends. Thank you Sushido!

Es un poco un Tardis. . mucho biger por dentro de lo que esperaba. Cervezas decentes, buen ambiente y buena música, incluso en días de partido. Definitivamente recomendado.

Good food and cooking but... We booked for 5pm on a weekday, safe in the knowledge that their website says they open at 3pm. We arrived 10 minutes before 5pm and the restaurant was closed and lifeless. Puzzled, we phoned the number on the menu board which led to a recorded message saying 'leave a message', so we left our phone number. They called after a while to say that they only open if they have a booking so they opened up for us just after 5pm. Place was bitterly cold, no effective heating, delivery boxes of drinks piled in the entrance way. What a miserable impression. Eventually lights were switched on but no attempt had been made to prepare for our booking or arrival or to pre-heat the place.. We sat shivering in our winter coats and tried to enjoy the excellent, talented chef and the very nice food but the 'Teppanyaki Experience' package we'd booked was not good at all, in fact truly miserable. Someone in management needs to get a grip on this attitude swiftly, we won't be going back until it changes.

Amazing food. All you can eat sushi and sides and starters. Decently priced. Accomodating halal diets. My wife and I throughly enjoyed our experience here and cant wait to come back for more!

absolutely amazing service and I love the food, second time coming and I love it every time. super nice waiters/waitresses. I love the atmosphere with the fairy lights and wooden furniture. 1000% recommend

Mi esposa y yo estábamos aprovechando una oferta de menú fijo de Wowcher, antes de regresar a casa después de una visita al cine... desde la llamada telefónica de reserva a Billy, hasta nuestra llegada y saludo desde Arushi, y la calidez y amabilidad de nuestro chef, Kiko, nos hicieron sentir extremadamente bienvenidos y valorados como clientes... La comida era buena, al igual que el servicio que era entretenido, como teppan - yaki debe ser. . . en general una excelente, agradable experiencia!
