The best restaurants serving Japanese food in Birmingham West Midlands

Me and my wife have been coming here for years, ever since they opened and can honestly say this is the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. We’ve brought all our family and friends here and they all rave about it. Every time we come it never disappoints. The sushi is fresh, delicious and always phenomenal. A special shout out to Michael and Maciej. They always make you feel welcome, they take the time to get to know you and just make you want to come back again. 10/10 service. Genuinely couldn’t suggest anything they could improve on. Amazing experience every single time we visit. See you again soon guys 👍🏼

Food was delicious. The miso soup had vegetables in which made it extra special.

**UPDATE - Sadly now closed!** Incredible experience! Wonderful service, absolutely amazing food, excellent quality drinks. We went for the bottomless summer menu, tried all the vegetarian dishes which were all outstanding and amazing value. The staff were really attentive and warm. Best Japanese food we’ve had outside of Japan! Made our wedding anniversary extremely special and we can’t wait to visit again with friends. Thank you Sushido!

Es un poco un Tardis. . mucho biger por dentro de lo que esperaba. Cervezas decentes, buen ambiente y buena música, incluso en días de partido. Definitivamente recomendado.

Maybe it was the time of day we went but we were the loudest group in the place. Guy doing the food, amazing. Food, amazing, service, good but it took forever to get 7 booked in. I would defo go again in a heartbeat.

Kyoto in Birmingham is our absolute favourite restaurant! 🤩 The shared dining menu is pricey, but the top-quality food is worth every penny. Best sushi and grill dishes we've ever had, with new things to try every time! 💯 Consistently amazing food and friendly, quick service. 👏 Love the interior design, too! Just don't eat beforehand – you'll want to try everything! 😋

went here for my birthday meal last night and it was such an amazing place to go, lovely staff very friendly!! food was super tasty, we had loads to eat! we had a groupon deal off a family member for my birthday. we will definitely be back again! the lady who served us went above and behond plus she wore a japanese kimono, i thought that was a lovely look 😄
