Cosy family run Japanese restaurant right next to New street station. They always have space so no need for bookings unless you are a larger group. Food is always on point and deliver quickly to your table. One of my favourite spots when I feel like something tasty in a casual atmosphere. Great value for money and very friendly service, always with a smile. Thank you we have a great time every time we come.

Food is average The more you eat, the saltier it becomes But the environment and service are very good!

The Vanilla sashimi is delicious and the Golden Dragon Roll is also good.

A proper Japanese dining experience, generous portions of beautifully cut sushi and sashimi, draft Asahi Japanese beer and immaculate service. Fabulous. 👌

Unfortunately the place smelled bad, and it looks a bit rough, with the worn-out fabrics on the chairs. I felt a bit grossed out. The tea arrived without a plate or spoon, so I couldn't take out the tea bag. The food was mediocre and arrived on a chipped plate.

My go-to sushi spot in Brum! I’ve been here up to 10 times with a different group of friends each time and they’ve all loved it! If you go at an off-peak time the atmosphere is extra lovely too :)

I love this restaurant! Their food is amazing. I try to get food from here every time I am working in Birmingham. I particularly like the lion king maki and the okonomiyaki with udon noodles. I usually order food for pick up and the staff are polite and helpful. Highly recommended, I've never had a bad meal from here.

We have been here twice now. Both times had the sushi platter and ramen dishes. Very good value for money and fresh. Bubble tea is yummy too! The first time we went it was extremely busy and we did wait 45 minutes for food however the waiter kindly gave us a free drink each and some watermelon slices while we waited. Would return and would recommend!

Excellent restaurant. It was quiet when I arrived, seated straight away, service was very attentive and helpful with the menu. Food was very nice, I had a mushroom dish and a vegetarian ramen, was enjoyed and would recommend. Over all absolutely great dinner, central and convenient location to the train station. Definitely worth visiting if you like Japanese food.

Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to. Very clean, tidy and spacious inside. I ordered a Katsu curry and it was one of the best I've had - only toppled by izakaya in Bristol. They have a very wide range of sushi available much to my partner's delight. Will be visiting again very soon to try out the ramen.

First time here, huge variety on the menu and friendly service. We went on a Sunday around lunchtime before heading to the cinema a couple doors up without needing to book but the place soon filled up and was very busy by the time we left. Very reasonably priced and super tasty, I had the BBQ Pork Belly Bun begin with and my Chicken Teriyaki Ramen soon followed, my wife had a Tofu side and the veggie Ramen. Excellent, will be back.

Always enjoy eating here. They do Eel Don, which is very typical of what we would eat when in Japan, and some really good variety of sushi and tempura. They also do some Chinese and Korean dishes as well, so plenty of options to choose from.

We ordered Beef Sukiyaki, BBQ beef combo, beef skewered & karaage. We were unhappy with the food as the staff didn't ask how cook we wanted for the BBQ as we expected to grill it at the table, not already cooked. Moreover, the cooked BBQ seemed to preheat before serving, not cook when we ordered as it wasn't hot enough. I wonder as it's an open kitchen but we couldn't smell food or hear the cooking sound. Same for the beef skewered. But, the karrage was good, just cooked when we ordered and the sukiyaki was okay.

I ordered an Okonomiyaki and thought was great food for lunch today, the portions were huge and the girls who welcomed me provided really great service. I can say it was a great experience!

Great Japanese food with great selection of music and atmosphere. The service is not very handy when it gets really busy during the peak hours, so it’s better to order by phone with the QR code instead of waiting for any staff members to come over. Very great location as well which is right next to the main train station if Brum. Only thing I would suggest is that the male waiter to at least put on a smile when serving the customers, don’t make the customers feel uncomfortable because you’re tired of your job or myriad customers.

The man who welcomed us and gave us the bill was so polite and sweet. Came over to make sure we liked the food and let me check the bill to make sure we were paying the correct amount. The food was delicious, and really greatly priced. 2 starters/sides, 2 mains and 2 drinks came to £36.60. Great portion size and food quality, really left you feeling full, unlike chain places like Wagamamas. The aesthetic is cool too. I would come back. I had Takoyaki, Japanese Pork Ramen and Matcha tea. My boyfriend had Katsu Curry.

Food is great, but customer service's quality is not as great as that. We came in but no staff served or welcomed us, even when we sat down. Plus the waiting time is a bit uncomfortable, we noticed that there were some other customers came after us but received proper support.

I was ignored completely by the waitress even though we stand at the entrance for long enough and there weren’t many customers. The food was great but the waiting time was uncomfortable. Please improve the customer service.

I ordered food and two bubble teas through Uber eats. The food was great, however the bubble teas were ridiculous. The menu says Bubble tea. So we ordered two of the Dirty milk tea (caramel) flavour. There was an option for extra toppings. Since this was listed as bubble tea, and the option was for EXTRA toppings, and the price was quite high, I was very surprised and disappointed to find that the drinks that arrived were just milk and caramel. No bubbles or tapioca or anything that would constitute a bubble tea, or some base bubbles to add extra bubbles to. So what I paid £10 for was two cups of sugary milk that was called bubble tea. Uber eats doesn't offer the option to complain about this, and frankly, it's not their issue, it's Tsukiji's issue.

Just tried the beef sukiyaki and it’s my favourite among all the dishes! Served with a raw egg and udon, the broth is very rich with a sweet soy sauce taste, and matches really well with the egg and udon. The aburi cheese roll was also great. Would highly recommend!!

Good decent, the restaurant have theme Japan vibe. Staff were friendly.

Waitressing was lovely, we ordered takoyaki, okonomiyaki and sukiyaki. Everything was spot on and it was hard to decide which one was the best. I would say if you crave authentic Japanese snacks or meals in Birmingham, this restaurant is a ‘must go’.

The salmon roe maki tasted better than I expected, and the King Prawn Okonomiyaki was fantastic, as well as the customer service.

I have been to Tsukiji multiple times. I strongly recommend this place for good taste, portion size and price 😋. I always enjoy their eel dishes and they have great sushi rolls especially the softshell crab! I also recommend their beef sukiyaki which is enough for two person. It's japanese style hot pot with beef , veggies , egg and noodles. The soup base tastes like a sweet soy sauce.

First time there with my friends. The food was good, and the price was also very reasonable. Plenty of seats and great atmosphere. Staff were nice and friendly. P.S. some imperfections arn ramen broth and amt of rice in sushi but overall its a good deal in terms of price and quality :3

[Ordered on Uber Eats.] My order: Tempura vegetables Chicken katsu curry Mango and pineapple tea Teriyaki chicken bun I really hate leaving bad reviews but my order was so disappointing! The worst thing was I ordered tempura vegetables for £9.50 and what I got was five pieces of small, cut up vegetables in a tempura batter that hardly coated them, one of which was a piece of onion. I took a picture to send to Uber support but unfortunately it wasn't saved on my phone. The hirata bun was put in a plastic container and was sat in sauce, which led the bun to become soggy by the time it arrived. I honestly expected more, way more from a place that's so highly rated. The katsu curry was nice, but my order was delivered by someone on a bike, it took over an hour to get here, so I had to reheat it in the microwave. I understand that's not the restaurant's fault, but I wanted to mention my overall experience. The mango and pineapple tea tasted watery, not flavourful or refreshing at all, definitely not at all sweet. I'm sorry but I won't be ordering again. :(

I don't think I picked the right dish for me! But VERY generous portion size! We thought our server was great! The decor was exceptional and letting the customers try on the kimonos and fans/umbrellas is class! I'd most definite return and try a diffrent dish I think I ruined my broth by throwing all my seaweed and kimchi in it lol! But still a great restaurant and excellent hospitality

Cool decor and very comfy seats. We had the beef sukiyaki and a pork okonomiyaki to share. That was plenty of food for the two of us to share for dinner. The sukiyaki had a lovely sweet soy taste to it and had enough veg and beef inside. The udon that came alongside had a lovely chewy texture. (Please note the sukiyaki is served with a raw egg on the side. It’s normal and most people drop the egg into the hot broth so it thickens up the soup.) There’s a variety of interesting looking sushis on the menu as well and I appreciated the broad range of Japanese dishes on offer. The service team is also very friendly. Would recommend checking out this place if you like a bit of Japanese food.

As an Asian who likes to season more than most, I feel like some of the food items could use more flavor. It wasn't bland, but it wasn't rich either.

It was my second time here with my friend. We ordered prawn okonomiyaki, seafood market don, salmon sushi and a slow cooked steak rice. The salmon sushi was fresh. My favourite was the prawn okonomiyaki , the bottom was fried crispy and the flavour is rich. Definitely will come again.

Never come here again! Who can imagine this Japanese restaurant for raw fish only gets 3 scores for food hygiene, but it's easy to understand ! The smoke is serious and choking seems from kitchen. In addition, the Okonomiyaki is overcooked that leads to terrible taste. Notably, the raw fish is seems not fresh cause it tastes not good. So guys know why it's only 3 scores ? Take care!

The food is nice. However we have tried to visit a few times recently and it was closed every time we went, even though it said it's opened on Google maps.

Overall a very pleasant experience, the food was lovely and beautifully presented. The servers were pleasant and tried to be helpful, however at no point were we asked if everything was okay, or if we needed more drinks etc so a little inattentive. The decor is beginning to tire, and the menus look quite dog eared and feature inconsistently revised prices.

Fresh Seafood Market bowl and delicious plum wine which was recommended by the attentive waitress. The ramen soup was a bit thin though.

Lovely experience in here, really enjoyed the food and bubble tea was amazing. The vibe is very homey and warming, I really liked it. I tried a beef dish with a raw egg. I was skeptical as I've never eaten raw egg before, but the waitress ensured me it was good and I'm so glad I took her advice, I'd recommend it to anyone else. Delicious food. Fast service. One of the best in china town. I had chicken and prawn bento box and partner had eel don buri. Incredible flavours and you see the food being prepared. Can’t say much more - very tasty food and will come back soon.

Atmosphere and interior was good but the foods were poor (in my opinion as I have high standard) (I had okonomiyaki and chirasi bowl) + chirasi bowl: the rice was dried and hard, too much seaweed (half of the bowl) Okonomiyaki: poor ingredients. Normally cabbage and bean sprouts, other veg +a expected but this feels like only batter and prawn

The food is really good and very decently priced. The staff are very nice and always make sure you are enjoying everything.

Good meal over all, we way over ordered and the dishes came out in a really strange order, but most were really tasty. Ramen was a bit bland, but the fried chicken and okinomiaki was good. Prices are good and the service was very sweet. Would definitely go back.

Thank you very much for great experience in Tsukiji. We tried 3 different ramen soups and had 2 specific orders. Especially I would like to say thank to waiter Wednesday who kidly accepted all our specific orders.
