The best restaurants serving Japanese food in South West

Great quick stop with a relaxed vibe. We ordered the Tiger Maki and Avocado Asparagus Maki. Both very good!

A great restaurant with delicious food. I had the salmon tartare which was fresh and tasty, and the crispy duck which is without doubt the best duck I have ever eaten! Service was excellent and the place had a great atmosphere. Would recommend.

Best food in Plymouth! Recommend Oishi Sushi to so many people; the food is consistently brilliant, staff are lovely, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere! The prices are great for what you get, truly the best place to have a meal!

Great fried dumplings to start , prawn and pork. Had the curry laksa for the main with vegetable noodles, two mains enough for the three of us. Wine really reasonably priced. And I had a bottle of Bass which is a great beer

I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday treat. Amazing food. Lovely and kind ice cream gesture at the end when staff knew it was my birthday! 😊 Highly recommend

Excellent seafood ramen. Very friendly staff and pleasant ambience.

The noodles (soup) were tasteless and the meat was very hard. Meat was cold while the soup was hot. If you are from Asia or familiar with Asian food taste this is not the place for you 😂 you can cook so much better at home. (you’ll know what I mean once you’ve tried) Overall really disappointed with the food, but service was good and toilet was clean.

What a find! We will be going again as food and service were excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice to see something a little different on the menu. 10 out of 10.

Wandered by just after 5. Noticed this place had an "all you can eat buffet". Ordering three dishes at a time you are served very quickly. To begin I had California Maki which was lovely served with wasabi and ginger. Then miso soup which to be honest I didn't like the large slices of mushroom and tofu. The soup overall was tasty though. I finished round 1 with prawn and chicken yakisoba. This had a king prawn with several pieces of chicken and LOTS of noodles. Round 2 consisted of crispy chicken Maki and egg fried rice with charcoal grill chicken teriyaki which was absolutely delicious. Nice place, would visit again.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great drinks! However, the small plates were very small for the price, and the scallops were not cleaned well.

What a lovely experience. Warmly welcomed and patiently explained menu! Meat was plentiful and delicious. The menu was exciting with lots of things we fancied trying. Decor was fab. The sour drinks were delicious! One slight note, we ordered way too much food and would have appreciated the nudge that we could have ordered slightly less. We still would have spent a lot for lunch.

This is a small friendly restaurant with delicious food would also recommend it as good value too. We r will certainly be returning

One of the best places for Japanese cuisine. The staff are beyond helpful and friendly. The takoyaki is my favourite. However I would always recommend booking a table in advance as they can get busy.
