The best restaurants serving Japanese food in South West

Wow! Such delicious, fresh food. My first experience of freshly made sushi and watching it being prepared was an added pleasure. Amazing!

Hidden gem on Ashley Road Poole. We had a lovely meal and the restaurant is nicely decorated and fresh. We lived in Japan for a year it was nice to see Sapporo beer on the menu!

My husband and I have ordered a takeaway on two occasions when we have been visiting the area on holiday. We have never been disappointed because the food is absolutely delicious. We had Thai fishcakes, chicken satay, chicken wings and prawn toast for starters and Thai green chicken, pad khaprao chicken and jasmine rice for mains - all were delicious. It was really straightforward forward to order and delivery was perfect. We will definitely order again when back in the area and would definitely recommend.

The food is so nice. We had the Bentos B which has a variety of dishes and ramen which was also great for the price. Wish this place had larger space because the shop is quite small x

Food is tasty but not as delicious as mentioned in the comments. Suki is located in a fun food market hall. We had to wait about 35 min to get our simple Suki balls despite there weren't too many customers.

We had not eaten in an authentic Japanese restaurant before and the staff could not have been more helpful in helping us! Food was absolutely amazing!

Having regularly adventured to the food spots in the market, tea & bun have been by far my favourite! Fresh tasting food with wonderful flavours, all at good prices with great service to match. I particularly recommend the karage as it’ll beat any sort of fried chicken you’ve ever had.

This is our third visit and the experience has been consistently first rate. The food is so fresh and the flavours are amazing. The staff are all friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and clearly enjoy their job. This atmosphere is great in this cosy restaurant. The absolute best sushi!

Fuimos a cenar a Ki-cchin para celebrar los 40 años de mi marido. Éramos un grupo grande y el restaurante y el personal eran muy serviciales. La comida es increíble y hay una gran variedad, todos nuestros amigos estaban delirando sobre sus comidas. Visitado recientemente al alojarse cerca gracias a los comentarios positivos y muy contento de que lo hicimos. La comida era exquisita, buenas porciones, y a un precio razonable. Tenía una opción Bento por menos de £ 14 que era impresionante y lleno. Incluía salmón y sashimi de atún, que era excelente y costaría una cantidad similar por sí solo en algunos lugares El servicio era genial a pesar de que estaba muy ocupado para un martes al azar en abril. O tenían poco personal o no esperaban que estuviera tan ocupado, pero nos atendieron brillantemente de todos modos. He visto a alguien mencionar que esperaban un mejor servicio porque se agregó un cargo de servicio del 10%. Pensé que el cargo por servicio era muy razonable y bien merecido. ¡He visto lugares que te dan la opción de 15%, 20% o 25% para una comida para llevar! We come here time and time again. For the meat eaters - don't miss out on the karaage chicken and the pork teriyaki don (on the regular menu). For those that like a bit of everything - I cannot recommend the set meals enough. These change every 2 weeks or so and include bento sides, miso and a main dish - either meat, tofu or fresh fish. All are great! I would also recommend the specials - these include things such as kimchi hotpot and tuna. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, in relaxed surroundings.

This was a lovely place with great tasting food and also lovely staff! I also really like the vibe. The place has a simple Japanese minimalistic vibe. Big up kaizen! 👏🏻😋

This small Japanese restaurant offers fresh, tasty food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are kind and attentive, and the service is fast. The sushi is very fresh and the tempura is perfectly crisp. You can tell everything is made with care. A great place for anyone who enjoys authentic Japanese cuisine.

Absolutely delicious food, the flavours were mouthwatering. wonderfully presented. A unique setting. Definitely worth a visit. Impeccable service.
