We live here and eat out a lot. Every time I’ve been to either Nagomi or Pyesta I’ve had an asking night. Portia is just unbelievably amazing. The food is great and the experience is fabulous. You’ll love it.

Party of ten, we were well looked after by Porsha and the team. The food was fantastic as was the saki and smores. We will be back again.

We came here on the weekend to celebrate my birthday, and I'm so pleased we did! The staff were very friendly and attentive, managing a large group very well. The food was also absolutely delicious, with a varied menu, and the atmosphere and decor were beautiful. At the end of the evening I was shown how to do a "Korean Soju Bomb", which was very interesting! Thank you Nagomi Team, I can't wait to return!

The thing is with this place it's just too expensive for what you get. Whilst the staff are friendly there's still no real atmosphere there. The food was nice just a little too long for it to come, plus we were some of the first there. Understand it's cooked to order and maybe it was out of my budget but that's where you need the wow factor if you're out for a treat.

Stumbled on this restaurant looking for a nice venue for a group meal and what a gem it is. Good at every level. Lovely welcome, great staff (helpful with such an extensive menu) and great quality food. We asked them to give us a meal for 5 people and what a treat it was. All kinds of great things that we might not have found on our own. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes

After spotting a Facebook ad, we reserved a table here and I’m so glad we did! We ordered the Yakiniku (grill-your-own) with Wagyu beef and Scallops - all I can say is WOW! The beef needed only a few seconds on each side and then dipped into the sauce, it was absolutely delicious. The best beef we've ever tasted at a restaurant! Even a week later, I'm still dreaming about it 😂 We then had the Toppoki, which, if you haven't tried before is a must! We also had the Kobe fried rice was so delectable - literally mouth watering. The flavours in every dish we had were remarkable. The attentive and helpful waiting staff, along with the owner's polite and friendly visit to our table to ensure we were enjoying our food, made the experience even more delightful. We drive an hour to get there and we’ve decided to make this trip a monthly tradition due to the exceptional quality of food and service! Nagomi is truly a five-star experience all round! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My family and I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite having made a reservation for six, we encountered numerous issues that significantly detracted from our enjoyment of the meal. Upon arrival, we were initially pleased to be seated in a separate area. However, our enthusiasm quickly waned when we discovered that the bell in our designated area was not functioning, making it incredibly difficult to attract the attention of the staff. Despite our efforts to remain patient, it became apparent that there was a shortage of personnel, as no staff members checked on our table periodically. Furthermore, our table was not adequately prepared upon seating. Essential items such as chopsticks, spoons, and soy sauce dishes were conspicuously absent. When we requested these items, we were met with suspicion and skepticism from the staff, as if our legitimate need for utensils was being questioned. This interaction left us feeling humiliated and insulted. Subsequently, when our meals were served, we encountered further inadequacies in the level of service provided. Despite requesting additional soy sauce dishes for dipping, we were only begrudgingly offered one extra dish after repeated appeals. Additionally, a missed order resulted in an extended wait time, exacerbated by the lack of attention from the staff. Upon reviewing the bill, I expressed my dissatisfaction by withholding the service charge. While the staff acknowledged our concerns and waived the charge for the day, this gesture did little to rectify the overall negative experience we endured. It is important to emphasize that our visit coincided with the first day of the Lunar New Year, a special occasion for our family. We had chosen to dine at this restaurant in anticipation of a memorable and enjoyable meal, based on positive experiences in the past. Regrettably, this visit has shattered any expectations of returning in the future.

Had been here before with family, but this time had colleagues including 2 Japanese visitors who I have dined with in Japan many times. We decided on "small plates" rather than the "hotpot or grill" option on our table. We ordered a selection of different dishes and all of them were excellent. The staff were helpful, friendly and the added advantage of one of the young ladies spoke Japanese which was a bonus for my colleagues even though they speak good English. Food was plentiful, very tasty and well presented. Would and will recommend - and will return again.

The staff were attentitive and the food came out very quick. I highly recommend the Korean corn dogs and the bibimbap! My fiancée loved it, I loved it! When it came to dessert we got a portion of s’mores between us that we cooked at the table. The staff heard that it was my fiancée’s birthday and gave us an extra portion of dessert on the house. They were very sweet and personable. We had a great time! It’s a great place to go for a special occasion, a little expensive but definetly worth the money!

If you go to nagomi with an open mind and an empty stomach, you will not be disappointed The flavours of the marinated meat combined with the sauces were delicious, and the process of grilling your food together with friends was a really enjoyable and sociable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and informative too. I was a bit anxious as to what to expect, especially with a new experience, but that anxiety was very quickly quashed.

This was the second time we went to Nagomi having had an amazing meal there in the summer. The food was still very good but the service was so different from last time we went. We waited quite a long time to get drinks and the waiter seemed very unsure about what he was doing. We had our meal and then completely out of the blue we were asked to get off the table as they needed it for other guests and we paid the bill there and then and left. There was no thank you or goodbye!! I’d suggest that if you have other bookings on tables you let your guests know when they arrive and also give a 10 minute warning. This is a real shame because I really liked Nagomi but we won’t be returning.

A unique mix of Japanese and Korean cuisine. You can cook your choices of meat and/or seafood at your table or you can have your orders prepared by the chef (Japanese). Lovely comfortable decor. There is a great variety on the menu. We 3 persons decided on a combination of self cook and prepared dishes. The quality of food is top notch and portion size is large. Great small plate choices for appetisers or sides are on offer. Kudos to Porsche, the owner who had this vision and brought it to reality. Incidentally she also opened the Filipino restaurant next door and we can’t wait to try that as well. This is a brilliant concept and should not be passed up.

What a fantastic experience. The food is top quality and really delicious and the concept of barbecuing your own food is really novel. It can be a little overwhelming if you cook like I do :( but Marissa was so helpful. We had a really lovely evening and can't wait to go again. It's great to have such a wonderful restaurant so close to us.

Very bad experience tonight in Nagomi. It was my second time, first time being a few weeks ago with some friends where we simply chose some small plates. One of those friends went back last week, tried the bbq and absolutely recommended it so i followed her advice and took my mom visiting from abroad. We took a meat platter and some rice and veggies on the side. The meat in itself was fine although I would have thought it a bit bigger for the price. What went wrong was the bbq. The grill was on full heat, and therefore when putting the meat on it, it completely burnt it, causing smoke to appear up until the ceiling and big flames which we were not expecting. We couldn't even talk to each other as the grill was such a disaster. The slices were too thin and it made the meat to completely stick on the grill and therefore leaving bits everywhere. Most of the holes on the grill were simply filled with meat that got stuck in there. The worst part was the veggies(carrots, sweet potato and mushrooms). Super thick slices which you can imagine, did not only burn completely the outside but did not cook the inside : I cannot eat something burnt and raw. We shared that this was weird and they simply brought us another plates of veggies which we didn't ask for. They put down the temperature but because the holes were full of meat, it did not cook the rest of the meat or very very slowly. Welcoming people in your establishment is a part of customer service. I appreciate that our server, as lovely as she was, needs to check with her manager before offering anything ; but given the state of our bbq grill, a gesture would have been nice. We even paid the service charge when obviously none of us were satisfied with the service. The restaurant is small enough that you can offer a personalised service to your customers. Completely disappointed. Will not returned again. £80 pounds to eat almost no veggies (or just eat them raw) and loose half of our meat into the grill. I checked the state of other tables which also took the Korean bbq and in no way it looked like ours.

Does not live up to advertising hype . Service was appalling. Presentation of food was not good. The vegetables were cut so thick that they were inedible, The under powere electric grill was incapable of cooking them. The menu said 5 scallops but was actually one large scallop cut into five slices. They were served in a tinfoil dish and some liquid and they were then steamed rather than bbqed. 20 minute wait for table to be cleared. 10 minute wait to find out that we didn't want any dessert on offer and then 10 minute wait for one coffee. No automatic top up of the jasmine tea. Having spent time in Japan this left a lot to be desired.

Amazing food!!! Portia is such a great host and her recommendation are worth trying. The hashimaki was to die for and the Seoul fried chicken were so good, we thought of asking for a second portion.
