Just really great Ramen. And consistently good. Service is polite and prompt. Can’t wait to come back again.

The tonkotsu with black garlic oil was amazing!

Had a nice lunch here few weeks ago. Ramen was good, though not excellent. The egg was not ramen egg (ajitsuke tamago), just hard boiled and marinated. Liked the side dishes as well. Food came fast. Our server was not very friendly but orders were accurate and fast. Overall came here for the food and they delivered.

Some dishes good, some bland. Not as good as it used to be. Service is quite rude and rushed. Needs a refurb.

I have visited this place many times, hoping that the SERVICE has improved. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The food got worst as well. So this will be the last time for me in this place. Main points of service here: rude, rush, missing order. Can't be bothered to take photos of the food tbh

Food is general delicious. Their Kara age bao bun is usually super tender and flavorful. The Tonkotsu tan tan ramen has a brilliant broth and is well balanced. Very filling. Would happily eat here daily. Customer service is not Western style so you will have to be confident, direct and clear about what you want and don't want. But not rude.

I was very disappointed. Ratings and comments were very high, but definitely not a good ramen. The broth flavourless, bones on the meat, the egg overcooked. The waitress was also very rude even if we went for dinner at 8pm, and she gave us the bill by 9:15pm. The place doesn’t look very tidy either. I won’t recommend it.

Service was awful, the lady who served us barely spoke and was just rude. The basics of customer service weren’t there. Food was good but we wouldn’t return based on the service received.

Lovely place, best ramen in Bristol by far. This is my treat spot for delicious warming comfort food.

I absolutely loved it. The miso ramen where astonishing and the people working there are really friendly and helpful. I will definitely go there again when I come back to Bristol again.

Bit quiet when we came in but was a Sunday afternoon, food was absolutely incredible, tonkatsu was amazing and miso for my vegetarian partner was also delightful. Generous portions, service swift, reasonably priced. Cannot wait to eat noodles here again!

I had a chicken karage bao bun to start which was delicious but main course was lacking taste, me and my partner had ramen and both of them left us wanting a bit more flavour on the upside portions were big and neither of us finished. Service could be better as well. Overall the restaurant has lots of potential but it isn’t quite meeting it. Average

The tonkotsu broth really didn’t taste as though it was boiled for 10 hours. The broth is quite thin and not that flavourful. The ramen portion is just right with tons of toppings but the egg was hard boiled which was kind of funny. It was alright but I think my expectations of ramen is a bit too high. Overall, it's not good but its just average. I guess we should support local businesses

This place is a go to for me and my partner. There’s never a wait for a table which is shocking that people aren’t queuing out down the street for this place. Food is great, super authentic and friendly staff. Happy to tip generously every visit.

I can’t understand why people go to Wagamama when you get the genuine article here. Absolutely blinding food.

Ramen broth is exceptional. Good value and delicious.

The aubergine grill was well prepared and delicious, and found the Yasai Ramen was well cooked and presented but could’ve done with a richer flavour- however was very healthy and can be good if you’re looking for something low salt!

The food is reasonable for what you get. Enjoyed the Kare chicken, very tender. The seafood ramen was a good size with a good amount of fish. HOWEVER, the prawns were a bit rubbery (frozen, maybe?). So a point off for that. I still liked it. I like that you can see the kitchen but when I left, I smelt like ramen for the rest of the day. Please invest in a bigger extractor fan or get some dehumidifiers as is a little moist in there.

I ordered the tofu & mixed veg curry which was ok, but I've definitely tasted better elsewhere.

Delicious food and lovely staff. I had the Tonkotsu ramen. It was so delicious. The broth was very delicate and flavourful. For dessert I had mango and coconut mochi. So delicious. Price is very reasonable and the owners are super friendly.

We booked a table for 5pm, showed up at 4:50 and when we walked in all the staff were asleep on the sofas and they told us to leave and come back at 5?? Very odd and rude seeing as they’d been open since midday.

Had the tonkotsu ramen. Very average ramen. Bland broth, overcooked noodles and overcooked egg. Not a very inviting space either.

The ramen was excellent. There was only one place where I had such a good ramen before! I really recommend it. You don't get such a great taste in chain restaurants :)

This was perfect for what I needed that night, a place to dine comfortably on my own with excellent food. It's a small, laid-back place, lovely friendly and efficient service. Choice of larger broth bowls, curry set meals or small plates, both meat and vegan options, so a good range of choices. I had the vegetarian curry set menu, very generous portions and really tasty, good quality food. Miso, edamame, deep fried tofu and vegetables with curry sauce, steamed rice and salad. I wasn't very hungry but ate it all because it was so good 😊 very reasonably priced too, I had a lot to eat for just under £12!

The food was lovely and the service was impressively proactive and courteous. Process were decent too. Couldn't have been better.

The female staff cut her hand armor at the dining area. The hygienic situation is very bad. I will report it to the Health Bureau.

Quick service. Good and tasty appetisers. Tonkotsu is ok, broth is a bit weaker and egg is hard boiled. Still a nice place to eat out.

Food was excellent but the service was not so great. Especially the young female staff, she was rude throughout.. Maybe she had a bad day but her attitude was not acceptable at all. Hope she will not be there when I go next time :)

Delicious ramen. Best I've had in Bristol. The bao buns are also great. I would recommend the fried chicken ones. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is tasty.

My friend and I went for dinner here both for the first time and it was wonderful!! The lovely lady serving us (sorry we didn’t get your name) was so funny, sweet and helpful! I couldn’t decide so I let her choose for me and I’m so glad I did! I had the tonkotsu broth with the fried chicken and it was insane, the chicken was cooked to perfection. My friend had the vegan Yasai, we also ordered edamame and aubergine to share, the aubergine was sooooo good. For 2 ramens, 2 sides and one soft drink it came to less than £20 a head. The food arrived super quick and the service and staff was great. Already can’t wait to come back! Thank you ❤️

Ate a yasai ramen. The staff were kind, the place is authentic. If you add the cheap prices it’s a no brainer to try! Also the local beers worth to try.

We loved the ramen, very quiet place maybe because of the hour we've been there. The prawn tempura was not the best but we will come back for the ramen.

A cosy and authentic place to eat excellent Ramen. Between the 3 of us, we tried the pork, salmon and crispy chicken and all of them were delicious. Great to be able to see the kitchen and how hard the chefs were working to bring out dish after dish to the hungry diners. It was very busy when we arrived, but the staff were friendly and even apologised for making us wait a few minutes before ordering, while we could see they were rushed off their feet. There was a wheelchair in the Ramen bar while we were there, but it's quite narrow, so may be tricky to get access if the restaurant is very busy.

Best place for Ramen in Bristol. Nice place to sit and enjoy food. The service is great and the food fresh. Will go here for Ramen more than wagamama.

The ramen is fast and tasty here. Took about 3 minutes to get my order. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. If you want something quick and delicious, make your way here!

Great food and great staff. All food was freshly made, we had pork ramen which was lovely. It's well priced undercutting wagamamas at around £12 for a well sized portion or ramen although If you eat a lot then order a small side with it.

Visited one busy Friday Eve, without reservation. Big mistake! They took our contact details and called us sometime later when a table was free. We weren't disappointed. A shared pea experience to start, and some starters then onto the pork ramen with egg in. Nice quality broth with half a boiled egg.. The service was delivered with a smile. Basic ambience, table and chair which was busy but they took time to explain their menu and engage. Good quality broth and food served hot with a cheerful mood and very affordable. It's a lovely place to visit. I found it up there amongst the nicest, not the best quality I've ever tasted but certainly worth a visit that specialises in vegetarian and vegan tastes as well as meat. An enjoyable evening, out..

Lovely staff… we received very quick service. There are vegetarian options as well. Staff recommended few dishes and they were delicious.

Out of this world food. Pork ramen was delicious, the aubergine side with miso was stunning.

So bland. If you like ramen, this isn’t the place for you. If you like Japanese food made for British tastes ie itsu/Wagamama, you’ll love it.

Stayed in Bristol for 4 nights and had takeaway from a different Japanese restaurant each night. All but 1 was lovely but this was my favourite. Perfect spicy seafood ramen and introduced to chicken karaage - yum yum yum. Would be even better if they did sashimi but I’m not knocking points off for that. Am engineering another work trip back as I type! Had to use Uber eats as was too far out of centre for a walk. Order early as estimate was way off!

Sono venuto qui insieme di domenica a cena e, stranamente, c'era posto per sederci. Appena accomodati, arriva la ragazza a prendere gli ordini e dopo poco ci porta gli antipasti. Inizialmente abbiamo preso due Bao, uno con maiale sfilacciato e uno con pollo fritto, veramente deliziosi. Poi sono arrivati i piatti principali: un piatto completo con riso, curry, edamame e zuppa di miso e due ramen con carne di maiale. Entrambe le portate erano abbondanti e di buon sapore, specialmente il maiale che si scioglieva in bocca. Il conto diciamo che è nella media, solo i bao sono piuttosto costosi perché per ciascuno abbiamo pagato 5£, per un totale di 54£, comprendenti anche due birre. Ci ritornerei volentieri.

Food always amazing, they do a few things, but they are done to perfection. Also our server over heard our convo and realised it was my birthday and wrote a little happy birthday note

Authentic! I’ve just been to Japan and was missing it’s cuisine, this place is right next to us and we decided to have a go. The restaurant is small, typical Japanese decoration. The host/waiter was very nice and thoughtful, friendly young girl with 2 chefs in the kitchen. The ramen, bao, tempura, aubergine were delicious. It’s not expensive and very tasty! If you looking for typical japonese (no sushi) this is the place to go in Bristol

Portions of gyozas very small for the price. Have ordered before and ramen used to big bigger. But it was delicious.

I love Ramen Ya, but PLEASE stop using excessive amounts of plastic for your delivery orders. The attached is just from 1 ramen and 1 side. It's unconscionable and I won't be supporting you until you sort it out - compostable (bioware) material is available - if Mr Noodle and Woky Ko can do it, why can't you?

This is our favourite Ramen place. Not too big, cosy and fantastic vegan ramen as well as traditional. I would agree though with a previous review, that you need to expect a cold environment in the Winter and don't expect a warm welcome from the staff either. The food is the reason I will keep my 5 stars.

Bang on ramen with a real broth

Mediocre food, poor service! Very slow service and almost reluctant to provide any at all. Half the chicken was cold the edamame beans not fresh and the seafood ramen is totally overrated. Won’t be going back.

Food is amazing. But it's a bit...in and out. You feel a bit rushed.

A very meh experience. The Tonkatsu ramen was mediocre lacking in both flavour and depth. I saw a lot of people putting siracha and sesame oil in their ramen which tells you that it lacked taste. The "sesame" salad is a bag of store bought mixed greens with a bit of sauce. The tempura was decent, it's hard to mess up tempura. Ultimately its inauthentic ramen lacking in any real qualify for the price. Avoid this place if you actually like ramen, instead of bland soup.

I ordered on Uber Eats to be delivered at my hotel. I requested cutlery because I am staying at a hotel and sadly the order was delivered with none, and needless to say I can’t eat Raman with my hands lolz. I phoned the restaurant directly and explained the situation and asked them to please send another driver with cutlery, but the lady who answered insisted that cutlery was included (which it wasn’t) and then she hung up the phone!

As a fellow Asian, I felt that the quality of the food was subpar at best. The broth itself wasn’t thick enough and tasted bland, the portion they gave was diddly squat and the salad tasted like it had been left out in the wild for 2 days. Everything, from the initial reception to the preparation of the food felt rushed. The price was completely unjustified for the mediocre food quality. It certainly doesn’t qualify as a ‘decent’ ramen restaurant and I would strongly recommend everyone to give this restaurant a miss. It truly does not do ramen justice. I have been to way better restaurants serving ramen in London. Also, not sure if they were gossiping about me but newsflash I do understand Cantonese 😀

Amazing food, good atmosphere. There is option for pescatarians (vegetable broth with seafood ramen) which was perfect for me.

Best ramen I’ve had in Bristol. Good portion sizes and a great selection of starters. Can get quite busy, it’s not a big place and you can’t always book. Worth going/waiting if you can as food is always served quickly.

Great food, the broths are deep in flavour and the gyoza are fantastic!

Some of the best Ramen I've had in Bristol, it's not cheap but the portions are filling and you can taste the depth in the broth. My favourite is the Tonkotsu pork ramen the broth is rich, flavourful and packed with umami.

It was ok but the broth for the tonkotsu lacked any depth to the flavour. The salad was delicious and the karage is probably best eaten at the restaurant rather than as a take away to keep it crispy.
