The best restaurants serving Japanese food in East of England

Long-time regular with my partner. Their chicken Katsu curry is my favourite dish on earth. No other katsu curry has compared to Shiki's. They also do incredible sushi. The staff are always lovely and service is fast and efficient. My favourite restaurant in Norwich!

It's a small place but great food and wonderful service. Highly recommended if looking for a great Japanese food.

Great japanese food for reasonable price. the Ramen bowl and extra side of noodles are a particular favourite but the sushi here is also very good and tastes fresh. Recommend booking ahead as this place gets full very quickly when its open and seating can be limited.

If you’re looking for quality, homemade-style food, this place is for you. The chef’s love and passion for cooking can be tasted in the dishes served - definitely worth the wait. We had the katsu curry, sushi roll, tempura and sashimis. Super satisfied with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend to give this place a try! (P.s. The food takes time because it is all freshly prepared and made to order. In this instant, fast-paced society we live in, it’s a refreshing change and something I’ve learned to appreciate)

Excellent unlimited Japanese buffet especially if you have kids under 155cm in height! We’ll be back.

Had a really nice meal here. service was warm and welcoming. Food was great, had a selection of starters and salad with a bit of sushi, all was good and very tasty. Need to go back and try some more dishes.

An excellent meal, we ordered a real selection of dishes and all were equally good. It was very popular and service was very efficient. My advice would be to order courses as you want them as it can feel overwhelming if they arrive at the same time.

Great service and delicious food. Staff were super friendly and great with kids. We had a good table by a revolting belt and the choice of dishes was excellent. Resulted in trying so many different once. Good value!

Me encanta la comida asiática pero rara vez la como porque la mayoría de restaurantes la añaden : ( Así que este lugar resulta ser una verdadera joya, aprecié enormemente la decisión del propietario de dejarlo fuera de todos los platos. (Si no lo sabes, es un potenciador del sabor y realmente malo para nuestra salud.) Pedimos dos sopas de fideos, la 12 y la 16 y ambas estaban absolutamente deliciosas, y de sabor muy natural, perfectas. El tamaño de la porción era ideal para nosotros. El n.o 16 estaba un poco picante pero no mucho, así que creo que la mayoría de la gente podría manejarlo. El restaurante en sí es subterráneo, por lo que es un poco más oscuro y acogedor por dentro, con mesas cerca una de la otra. We ordered from Here for the first time tonight. The food was so delicious and fresh we regretted not buying more. I've been searching for a sushi place this Good ever since moving outside of London and I'm really happy I came across it. I recommend the chicken katsu roll and the fried squid. Everything was 10/10!

Ordered for the first time yesterday, ordered £65 worth of stuff for me and one other as I wasn't sure how much I'd be getting. Discount brought it down by about £15. Ended up having enough for the next day, and we weren't complaining! The food tasted amazing, it's literally just like the photos, it's all packaged so nicely, it was delivered promptly, did I mention the amazing flavour? Will *definitely* be ordering again!

Phenomenal spot to go out for food in Bedford, for the food alone, the cat robot, the music and even the modern cinematic Japanese aesthetics all across the restaurant. This is a must-go spot in Bedford 😌👋
