Ordered by phone for take away, using their website menu as reference. Easy to order, but it would have been a better experience if they'd have had product pictures on their website; I'm not an expert in knowing what every sushi product looks like... When I went to collect (and pay) I was surprised that the cost was lower than expected, only to discover that they'd missed certain items from my order. An apology was swift and sincere and the missing items were freshly created. The food was OUTSTANDING...!

For the past few years, I have been ordering sushi from this place, and every time the quality has been top-notch with fresh ingredients and great service. However, on a recent order through Deliveroo, my food didn't arrive. The manager handled the situation exceptionally well and swiftly resolved the issue, demonstrating great professionalism. Overall, I highly recommend this sushi spot not only for their delicious food but also for their excellent customer service.

It is the best sushi I've had in London! But the service is not the best, if you don't have a reservation and manage to sit they will prioritise the people that has reserved over you making you wait even 30 minutes to order while you watch others eat. (on this opportunity we were sitting outside) Is not the staff’s fault at all, maybe they need to hire more people for the rush hours.

I was served by Layla, Elina & possibly Olivia but I don’t remember. They were super friendly and served with smiles. Layla likes drum and bass and Elina’s favourite dnb artist is “Chase & static”. Well done girls, great service xx

This sushi restaurant is so much better than the completion. I visited both on the same evening. The sashimi has body but is also delicate. Great choice and value for money.

workers giving nasty looks also looking at us then talking loudly about us saying we look like things and just being un polite and so rude and laughing at us and just made us feel really uncomfortable they wouldn’t smile and the workers are really unpleasant people , got our order wrong then they proceded to talk about it to eachtoher and say that what we was given is what we ordered when we know exactly what we ordered and what we said it is absolutely ridiculous

Fair price and quality, service is good

The minute I saw Eran the young lady who received us and seated us I felt that we had made the right choice of suchi restaurants in Borehamwood. She was very attentive and made us feel at home. Thank you will be back soon.

Made a delivery at 18:36. Order will be with me between 19:36-20:10. Called at 20:17. Was told 5 minutes, give 5 minutes for driver (20:27) arrived at 20:45. Over 2 hours from the moment of making the order. Apology came up only after got upset when I called at 20:35. Tried to offer a compensation only after I told him off about it, didn't ask for money, and the gut on the phone started to forget his English and asked me to spell my name and all... I just closed the phone, I just couldn't be bothered. Great food, horrible customer service, the worse I ever experienced. For the amount of money they charge for their food I would be honest to say they need to stop hiring teenagers for minimum wage and make some effort into getting proper service stuff

Have been going to this place at least once a month for over 5 years. Absolutely incredible fresh delicious sushi. Never ever had a bad experience and would/do recommend it to everyone! Unreal

While the food is good and we are regulars, today's experience was pretty bad in terms of service. You feel duped. We asked for extra Wasabe & Ginger, - they did not even put the required quantity in the original box. They told us they'd put additional but none was there in the packaging once we reached home. This happened literally 5 mins back today. This was for my daughter and I really felt bad. My recommendation: Strict NO NO to the collection service + Never trust the staff and check yourself if they've put in the order box what you asked for.

Beautiful Salmon Teriyaki and Salmon Crunch roll. Really good food and really good service. I ordered food to collect and was ready when I requested and still hot.

Love, love, love. The place is intimate, simply decorated but functional and clean. You can sit at the food prep area and watch it all being made in front of you. I loved sitting waiting for my food and watching things being, prepped, sliced and rolled. I found the whole experience just absolutely gorgeous. The food looked amazing and it tasted divine. Very reasonable prices and wonderfully, warm accommodating service. It does get busy so beware.

Just wow! We really fancied some good sushi and, after looking at reviews, decided to drive the 30 mins to try this place out. Has to be some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Fresh fish, perfect rice and friendly service. Definitely worth the drive and will 100% return.

The restaurant served rather small portions, but I must say the service was impressively swift. In my view, it fell into the category of mediocrity, neither particularly impressive nor disappointing.

Fresh sushi and sashimi with a good selection of hot foods. The staff were lovely but it was clear they were all new so didn’t really know much about the menu but I’m sure it’ll get better with time. Recommended!

We tried at by chance and had not booked. We managed to get seat at the bar regardless which was great. The menu was varied and we enjoyed what we had. Sat at the bar, we could see the line of chefs at work preparing the taste food! Service could have been a bit quicker but they were very busy with take away orders as well but the manager was lovely and gave us good tips on what to try. Will be going again and trying the takeaway in the future too.

Decent takeaway choices and the staff were friendly and efficient. Nice to see see the chefs visible and you’re able to watch them prepare the sushi and they’re willing to chat with you and engage. This always adds a lot of value. Sushi was decent.

Always good here. What every restaurant should be, reliable, consistent and friendly. Chefs work hard and always to a high standard. We had an order of 27 dishes and Julia and Luke worked hard to make sure it was all present and correct. Never had a bad meal here and it’s always our go to when in the area. Just wish they’d deliver to Bushey next!

Great sushi, freshly prepared from very high quality ingredients. Some interesting takes on sushi as well as the more traditional offerings. Great, friendly service.

Food is fresh but it the kitchen can not cope with the demand of busy local business. We regularly experience 1 hour + wait times which comes across as inefficient and/or pretentious especially for the high prices.

The second time we’ve had such disappointing food delivered. We very much enjoy eating in the restaurant but needed home delivery. The rolls fell apart as we picked them up. The ordered meal came without sauce & was extremely dry. In the restaurant it comes with sauce. The salad with tuna & salmon was totally full of tons of lettuce etc. one tomato, very small portion of avocado or the fish. Very very disappointing

Good food with some tweaks could be excellent. We popped in on a Friday for a takeaway. We ordered the dragon roll, rainbow roll, shrimp in tempura salad and seeweed salad. The food was well packaged for a takeaway. The rolls were well prepared aprt from some avocado slices too soft and not enough pickled ginger but the fish was fresh and tasty! The wasabi was also brilliantly hot. Even hubby not the biggest fan of Japanese food loved it. The shrimps were a big let down, unseasoned, not crispy and thick and soggy tempura. A careless and silly error which slightly undermined the meal.

Excellent quality of sushi as always when I come here. It’s the best around. The tiger roll is a must it’s amazing. Had several other bits too all of high standard. Very reasonably priced. Great service by all the staff members especially Jordene who was very friendly. See you again soon!

We regularly get takeaway from this place. The food is outstanding and the service is great. They must’ve changed the manager recently because the service and the standard of the food has improved in recent months.

I’ve been a Kiyoto customer for 4 years. The food si really tasty and they use fresh fish and veggies. While before almost every time I was ordering take away my order would’ve been wrong, lately they really improved their way of working. The other day I was served by Julia who is the restaurant manager and I had probably the best experience in Kiyoto so far. She is really friendly with a high customer service skills. We are happy to see her there every time we go for eat in or take away. Also our takeaway orders are finally right and the waiting time is not as long as before. As well there are no more delays.Well done

Been here a few times recently. Superb fresh sushi and very good service. Recommend the crispy rice salmon and the dragon roll. We will be returning regularly going forward!

Regular customer and would echo what many on here have said which is that the sushi is generally excellent but the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful to the point of rudeness. If there was somewhere nearby of similar quality I would switch in an instant

I have ordered from this restaurant on several occasions and each time it becomes increasingly frustrating placing the order within a time slot with a completely disinterested member of staff. Staff on many occasions can be an asset but unfortunately Kiyoto need to train their staff fully before letting them near a phone.

Ordered both ramens, both equally terrible, if I wanted plain chicken noodle soup I would buy it from tescos for £1. Skolding hot abd noodles like mush with absolutely no flavour. The first and last time I’ll ever order from here
