Teatro at the Radlett centre in Hertsmere

Great small restaurant attached to the theatre and local hub. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The service was excellent and the server very friendly. The atmosphere was good too. Pictured is the smoked salmon and avocado salad.

Great casual brunch in a theatre cafe setting with restaurant level food. Would have liked a longer time at the table though we were pre warned about turn round time.

As a commuter-belt small town full of busy, striving people, you have to dig below the surface to find a sense of community. It exists in local clubs and societies, but there are no welcoming pubs anymore. I took my parents for lunch here and sensed a loyal and largely elderly clientele who enjoyed the lively atmosphere. My chilli con carne was pretty tasty but overall the food at Teatro is nothing special. That's not the main reason for going though...

Quite outstanding.. Good food, friendly staff and if you can park outside in their car park, that really helps. Lovely menu for lunchtimes.

What a little gem! A really wide ranging menu with lots of different dishes and drinks too. The staff are so lovely and the service is great. Absolutely would come back time and time again!

Excellent first visit. Staff attentive. Food superb & not phased by gluten free & lactofree request. Only sad thing - no gluten free cake that day. However, poached eggs on smashed avocado/toast was just right. My friends chicken/mango salad looked very pretty & was delicious I’m assured. A little gem, busy on a Monday lunchtime.

This is a theatre for plays and variety shows. It has a bar and some snacks. Nothing special.

We went to Teatro in the Radlett Centre for brunch. The menu is comprehensive and they are happy to make changes to the set dishes with a wide range of different breads and happy to cook to order. But what’s really a game changer is the willingness of Rob to make sure you’re happy, even when the customer was wrong, as we were today! He insisted on remaking the dish as we didn’t want the sauce on top, even though we had failed to ask for the dish without when we ordered. Thoroughly decent of him and when it arrived it was beyond delicious. Thank you Rob and your team- a class act

Good food, good menu and a great service an asset for Radlett. It is open for breakfast and lunch, plus when shows are on in the theatre. Teatro is located in the Radlett Centre on the corner of Watling Street and Aldenham Avenue.

I always enjoy going to Teatro, whether for coffee, brunch, lunch, whatever! But I ordered an afternoon tea to be delivered to friends in Elstree today, and it was just superb!! Well done Teatro 👏

Having seen positive reviews on local Facebook groups I decided to treat the family during Lockdown to an afternoon tea for three people, we were not disappointed the food was absolutely delicious and very fresh. There was plenty of it and we still have lots of cake left over for a treat the following day! Very friendly and efficient people to deal with and delivery (to Garston) was faultless. Would definitely use again and would recommend.

One of the best lemon drizzle cakes we’ve ever had! It’s the second time we’ve ordered from Teatro and it definitely won’t be the last. Follows social distancing guidelines perfectly. Rob is so helpful and delivered the cake on the dot in person with a smile! Thanks Rob! Would recommend without hesitation!

During lockdown Rob Perlmutter has been delivering delicious tasty meals and afternoon teas. We have just had a birthday tea for my husband which turned his day into something really special. The tea was delicious, huge portions and delightfully presented, even including paper plates and cutlery, glasses for the Prosecco and all served in a lovely box with a message. I cannot recommend highly enough. Great value for money too.

Lovely afternoon tea bought buy our children for our anniversary all Covid secure delivered by Rob himself.

Just had lunch (or more correct brunch) - Eggs Woodland, poach eggs, mushrooms, spinach, sauce on muffin. Service spot on as always, no wander it’s always busy.

Good venue and well worth a visit. Have seen a number of shows and will have no hesitation of going back

Super convenient if you’re seeing a show and reasonably priced. The tortellini pasta was ok, and the rest of menu looked good too with quite large portions.

Lovely place. Great for brunches although my favourite is their jacket potatoes - vast menu. Not many places in radlett where you can just get a decent salad/sandwich. Great place for kids too - kids menus and high chairs always a winner.

Have been to Teatro twice. The food is good quality and fairly priced. A decent choice well served. A cafe which seems popular.

The cafe/restaurant at the Radlett centre run by Rob is excellent. Good variety, charming staff, well priced and not noisy as many other places are. Have been there for coffee and lunch and a party and good every time.

First time I had been to the teatro , I was meeting a friend and was slightly early. I walked in, table had been reserved for us. The man behind the counter was polite and friendly, very welcoming . Good choice of healthy foods . Bit cramped at lunchtime with buggy’s but the service and waiting times great. I’ve already recommended this place to my friends. Can’t wait to go back

I have been here for lunch several times and never had a bad meal. Casual place to meet up. Easy local parking. The service is particularly good and it not everpriced like some places.

Comfortable, friendly,very good. Excellent coffee not the dilute stuff you get in the multiple coffee shops.

What a pleasant surprise. Friends took me here for lunch. The menu was diverse, the food was fresh, and the service was good. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and is bright.

I like the casual lunch you can get at Theatro. Shame the chairs are so uncomfortable.

Really great place for lunch. I was surprised due to its location, but they do fab baked potatoes, toasted sandwiches and much more. All freshly prepared. Great for vegetarians.

Good food and good service. Imaginative and varied menu at a reasonable price. Can be a little noisy if a show about to start but obviously a good start to a theatre visit.

A cafe with tasty food and a pleasant ambience. Plenty of space so not noisy and you can go with friends and not have to shout ! Fairly priced and good service.

Dashed in for a quickie lunch between meetings - we’d booked (unnecessarily) and grabbed a smashed avocado/smoked salmon/egg combo and the chicken salad.

We had a drink before a show here twice before. There is a very nice atmosphere with a light bright surrounding. Clean tables and chairs with lovely flowers on. The staff are cheerful and attentive.

Came here for lunch with family for lunchtime snack. Had baked potato with bacon also gluten free cheese on toast hitch was very nice, and coffee. Attentive staff and quick service. All food came up hot and fresh. We will definitely return when we want a quick lunch, though prefer Shenly Tea Rooms for choice, quantity and price. However you cannot book Shenly which is always busy till 1:30 but you can for Radlett which is really helpful.

Located in the Radlett Centre the Teatro is a very friendly cafe with a nice menu (simple but good), plus selection of cakes. Advice if looking for lunch book in advance.

Radlett isn't rammed with reliable places for a bit of casual chow and Teatro has become our first choice destination when in the area.

Run by Bobby he and his staff are delightful. Portions great and the bill affordable parking is on site and to have a local place to pop always handy

Delicious, well presented good choice of food, in a small area in a local theatre. Well thought out choices, at reasonable prices Perfect for lunches.

Very average breakfast, poor coffee, no atmosphere, no return! Overpriced for what was a below average scrambled egg on toast.

I visited here with my son and his partner for breakfast. The menu had a good selection, food was great and service from all staff was above and beyond making us feel very welcome.

Went with some of the family yesterday for a great lunch. Catered for all ages and were efficient with all requests. Will definitely return!

Was in Radlett yesterday and my friend mentioned that the day before she had had lunch in this establishment which is within The Radlett Centre come Theatre. So I said why don't we pop in and have coffee and cake as it was pouring with rain.

Had lunch here today with my husband and two grandchildren. We ordered gougons of fish from the children's menu and also the pizza. Both portions were very small. We have had far better children's menu food elsewhere and for less money. Just to show how unsatisfying the food was - our two grandsons, aged 3 and 5, were eating the bits we left on our plates as they were still hungry afterwards. We have eaten out with them on many occasions and never had this before! My husband's baked potato (£6.95) had been freshly filled but the potato itself tasted as if it had been reheated. It was the same for my welsh rarebit (£6.95). The tomatoes that accompanied some of the food were soft and the salad portions were thin.

First time we managed to get to Teatro since the change from Georgies.Met my daughter and Grandson for a quick lunch, it was his 20th Birthday. Clean, Bright and welcoming eatery. Food was EXCELLENT, Thank you Rob and Susan for your tender loving care. The Lemon Cake and candle was greatly appreciated. See you again soon .

Spotlessly clean ever so friendly and the food is always great value and freshly made. it is perfect for a quick meal before the theatre or meeting a friend for lunch. Its also great for kids

After changing ownership, the restaurant, now renamed Teatro, does not disappoint.
