Had Sunday lunch, very efficient service, very friendly and clean. Also very full!

A cosy local cafe on the high street ,not a huge amount of seating but that shouldn't put you off as they do takeaway too. Simple no nonsense menu. Reasonably priced and serving the local community. They have a small section of locally produced craft items for sale and a decent local notice board. A great place to take a break.

Very small premises, maybe 4 or 5 tables Only two people working. Younger girl serving and taking orders, other older woman cooking I don't think they are prepared for any type of rush. Everything is made to order, which is nice, but kitchen does not seem kitted out for any type of volume. Think domestic equipment. It took ages for coffee to arrive and people came and went before ours were ready. In fact they eventually arrived after our breakfasts were complete . Portions sizes are quite small. One vegi breakfast and one sausage/eggs/hash browns and toast. Food was quite tasty though. But had a shock when paying. There were no menus to order from, just a board up on the wall with no prices. Two small breakfasts and coffees seemed a bit rich at over £40. Dog friendly which is why we chose here. Next time I think I'll leave her at home and go elsewhere.

Extremely rude owner with a big attitude. Never again . The food was average but the owner the old lady should learn about customer care

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the owner that's not how to speak to your customers! We had to wait 15 minutes for two drinks and then they got the food order wrong . It's nice to eat together which didn't happen as they didn't give me what I ordered. The young helper was very polite but the owner needs a course in customer service. The old lady the owner should be ashamed at her behaviour. Local businesses need local people, but because they got the order wrong apparently we are not welcome back. Own up to your mistakes. So a horrible experience never again.

Little gem in Bushey. We had omelettes, smoothies and iced coffes. The service was friendly and the food very tasty.

The small cafe on Bushey's High Street offers an excellent price:quality:ratio and homemade "cafe" food cooked-to-order. This is not an inner city greasy spoon cafe but a charming cafe of the old school, sadly a vanishing genre. The all day breakfast stood out, with proper back bacon and the usual trimmings. A selection of homemade cakes and well- selected scones (bought-in, high quality) butter and jam. The doughty ladies who run this place are to be congratulated. So too the young gentleman who took my order. The open plan kitchen and its bevy of ladies combine to make this a High Street gem...

Fab choice of Milkshakes & Smoothies delicious 😋 Great menu would like to try pancakes next time hopefully English style 😊

Sweet family run affair on the high street doing a takeaway service. Staff were welcoming. Finished off my full english with homemade flapjacks. Set me up nicely for the day.

Very sweet café on Bushey High Street has reopened for takeaway! I was really impressed by how the takeaway service is being run so as to reduce contact and keep distance between customers and the staff. I hope they will be able to open fully soon so that I can eat in but for now will definitely be going back for my takeaway fix. I had a delicious omelette, iced coffee and a homemade flapjack. Both the owner and the staff are very welcoming. Would recommend!

I noticed the boards outside the Village café in Bushey inviting us in for Coffee and cake to raise funds for Macmillan cancer Support.What a lovely atmosphere, the staff were lovely and genuinely wanted to raise the most they could to support Macmillan. The cakes were scrummy, will definitely be going back there. Hopefully to collect my prize from the raffle!

Lovely little cafe with friendly staff and nice quality good. Be aware though it is cash only and closes mid afternoon.

Cracking freshly cooked breakfast with steaming hot scrambled eggs, home made bubble and squeak and great coffee. And such friendly staff and lovely chef Caron was so lovely with the kids - they got to draw chalk pictures on little blackboards and hang them on the wall. We will be back!

I read the reviews and decided to visit this café in Bushey. It didn't disappoint at all, small and friendly and gave me just what I wanted for light lunch, toastie and coffee, very good, my friend had scrambled egg on toast, perfect and such good value - we will definitely be going back.

i discovered this absolute gem of a cafe by accident but SO glad i did. It is so rare now to find a QUALITY cafe with great food and service these days amongst the sea of foreign owned greasy spoons.i had one of the best vegetarian breakfasts i have ever had...everything here is quality from local free range eggs to proper Heinz beans, tomato and HP sauce.. You can literally have your breakfast how you want it and nothing iws too much trouble,,,,in fact it felt like i had gone to a family members for breakfast! Tess and all her staff are wonderfully friendly and accomodating, i am writing this review after my 4rd visit so i know it wasn't a fluke! This is now my favourite place for breakfast by far and i could not recommend it enough!

My friend and I come every week to this great little cafe. We are treated so well by the staff especially Karen so bubbly and friendly. Food is always freshly cooked and tasty. Really recommend.

Tessa runs this delightful cafe with great panache and style. The food is excellent with many meals including locally sourced ingredients and is very good value. The atmosphere is very friendly and the ladies who work with Tessa are a delight. Lovely place to meet friends and enjoy good food.

I had read lots of reviews so was interested to visit. I stopped off with my dog on the way back from the park and although they were almost closing the lovely ladies made me a ‘take away’ latte and fresh cheese salad sandwich which I ate on the front complete with doggie treats ( not for me!)... the staff are so friendly and I can’t wait to return for a longer experience- love the fact the cafe is doggie friendly! Coffee and sandwich were perfect!

We go into this little cafe quite a lot ,it’s an independent establishment which we like , we mostly have breakfast in there which is off a higher quality than anywhere else in bushey in our experience !

The village cafe in Bushey is one of my fav places for breakfast and lunch. Have visited on my own, with just my 5 year old and with all the family. Staff are always courteous and friendly especially with children. Food is fab and well priced. Highly recommended.

As I work locally it's good to find such a lovely place where I can sit and relax and enjoy a fab lunch. The ladies are so welcoming and friendly. It really is a home from home.

i went there recently the breakfast was of a high quality .unlike many cafes who buy cheap food.and it was 5.90 so good value .but i also ordered a coffee which pushed the price up to 8.50.although on the website it said 6.50 and that included coffee.or maybe i misread the menu

Met a friend here for coffee few days ago. Cafe was pleasantly busy with friendly staff and good prices.

Looking for a place to stop off and relax before my wife’s appointment as we were early. Looked at reviews and they are spot on. Great service, lovely food, very friendly person serving/cooking and a lovely feel to the place. Very good prices and a great cup of tea. Just wish I had noticed the large board with all the extras on - would have had the black pudding as well. Will visit again when we are this way in the next few months (with the next visit to the hospital).

We love this cafe! The ladies are so welcoming and friendly, the coffee is great and they have the best scrambled eggs around! Little touches like the reading glasses on the wall and blocks and chalkboards to keep kids busy mean it has a wonderful family feel- definitely the best cafe in Bushey!

I always enjoy visiting the Village Café. The food is fresh and the service excellent. The coffee is especially recommended. However, what café shuts in the middle of the lunch break? I went in yesterday at 1.30 and was told it was shutting. How bizarre. If this establishment wants to attract the hordes that go opposite to Barracuda they need to be far more flexible with their opening hours.

Went to the first day of the village cafe trailing Sunday mornings and it didn't disappoint. They had a set Sunday menu which meant quick service and the food was great. Perfect full English after a night on the town!

Walking by, on my way home, I dropped in for a mid-morning coffee. The atmosphere was friendly, but not intrusive - but it's also (consistent with the atmosphere of Bushey "village" as a whole) the kind of place where friends and acquaintances might drop in at any moment. I managed to resist the temptations of the food - but only because it wasn't a meal time.

I popped into The Village Cafe earlier today with my young family (& even the dog!) and what a lovely surprise....It was absolutely delightful!

This place just excels on every level. The food is so fresh and the little touches like fresh flowers on the table make this place really special. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The owner Tess has bought a little piece of magic to Bushey. Well done to them.

I rarely write reviews on this but I just have to write a review about this place. Myself and two work colleagues strayed into here during the week. Clean interior and super fresh food. I had the caeser salad and it was outstanding. Its rare to see fresh ingredients like that used in a cafe. The lady was super friendly and nothing was a problem, Trish was her name I think and she was Irish I think. Overall it was outstanding. A new local for sure.

An exceptional full English breakfast is served here, best I have had in a long time. Good friendly atmosphere also, highly recommended.

After moving into the area we stumbled across the village cafe and now we visit weekly for our Saturday brunch. Tess and her team are always extremely friendly and offer first class customer service. Ingredients are fresh and tastey. Even the toast is to die for! If you want a traditional village cafe this is a place to visit!

This great cafe in Bushey serves the best Sausage( caramalised onion) and Bacon baps you will taste! Coffee is great and the wholemeal/ malted toast is fantastic served with homemade marmalade! Based on old fashioned principles with a modern twist: Great quality Fresh food, cooked by people who care at prices that are great value for money. This is now my local!

This is the best cafe in Bushey. Very friendly and all food freshly cooked.premises are spotless and service with a smile.

The food is fresh, healthy and tasty. Children are most welcome and there are chalk boards and books for them and a great kids menu. The place is spotlessly clean. My daughter said there are lots of types of scrumptious food and lots of juices and drinks to choose. My son said the food is delicious and he wants to have it again! Highly recommended. 10/10

Since the new ownership about a little over a year ago, The Village Cafe (formerly Bonnie's) has been transformed into a beautiful, welcoming environment for everybody, and is now, by far, my favourite cafe in the area.

Very small independent cafe. I had a bacon roll and a cup of really good coffee, the owner takes pains to source it. Evey small village should have one of these!
