Enjoy the dinning here ladt nogjt for my birthday. Best japanese restaurant in Hatfield/Welwyn garden city. Attentive service. I particularly enjoyed the sushi dishes. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Fairly quick delivery, the sushi was okey, and the pumpkin tempura was super nice.

Went here a couple of weeks ago with my husband for date night. We loved it! Food was really nice. The people working there were really nice too. Definitely going back to try more!

Excellent food, well presented. Quick service too. It wasn't crowded but there was a nice buzz to the place. It had been redecorated since our last visit with Japanese murals on the walls.

I came across this restaurant by chance. I had no idea it existed in Hatfield and I've lived there for 24 years. My daughter with 2 kids took me there for Fathers Day treat and we were blown away by the food served to us. A nice lady talked with us and answered all of out questions regarding the menu as we are new to Japanese cuisine. We chose our drinks ..I had traditional sake and our starters. We chose to have all our dishes served at one time so we could pick and mix. The kids 7 and 5 were given children's chopsticks which they soon mastered and we set about rnjoying our fare. I admit we did order a bit too much but after nearly 2 hours in the restaurant were done. Then we decided to have dessert ice cream which was amazing..you must try the fried ice cream..sensational. Just under £100 for everything..that 4 people and drinks as well. Highly recommended..I will come again with my son who is a Japanese food officianado. 10 out of 10.

Hello there, i am changing my review. Very nice people. I order again did I? Thank you...l Sorry but the last 2 times the prawn tempura was so soggy and chewy and I did complain before about the soup but yesterday again the portion was not even half a bowl? So I'm afraid I won't be ordering again. I am ordering every week for the past month so I do think they should've make an effort?....I am updating again! So I didn't order for few months and I ordered tonight through uber eat? ....so the food was really fresh and tasty!!! So yes I will order again! Thank you....updated.....very very disappointed that the lady on the phone doesn't speak English? So I ordered last evening. Really nice food ! I would definitely order again . Thank you.

Delicious and spicy food, they also have non spicy options. Highly recommend to try their smelly noodles with BBQ fish pot as shown in the pictures, it's not on the Japanese menu, so you need to ask the staff for this dish. The only thing that can be improved is price. A bit too expensive. expect to pay around £25 per fish, but you will definitely be full!

Food was amazing! Genuinely authentic Chinese food! If you have been to China then the service is comparable to what you get there. If you have only been to English “Chinese restaurants” this might not be the place for you! We had a small problem with one dish but the waitress was super apologetic and sorted it out immediately.

Ordered the platter, delivery on Uber eats. Rice is dry, some of the fish does not smell fresh, overall the rolls are tasteless. Really unimpressed especially for the £46 it cost.

Our favourite place to eat authentic Chinese cuisine - you heard me right, although the restaurant in its majority serves Japanese food sushi and all, it’s run by folks from Szechuan region and they have a Chinese menu and the food is mindblowingly good :) highly highly recommend!

The best Japanese place in Hatfield. Their starters are yumm and the katsu curry, egg fried rice and sushi are my all time favourites. Not sure if it is a Japanese beer or wine that they serve it hot, it is a must try if you are up for alcohol.

Amazing place, the manager who was serving us was very very good. We came from a far town just to try this place. Furthermore they give us 2 beer on the house.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in Area. Environment are super lovely and food is so yum. High recommend the chicken curry and green tea ice cream. Definitely won’t be regret if you try them all!

Great sushi bar, very nice service and the food is poetry. Come in and order a few and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. You can park your car for free in the Asda car park, a 3-minute walk from the restaurant

For my mothers birthday we decided to visit our to go to place back home in Copenhagen, and they did not fail! From delicious food and great service to a birthday candle in my moms dessert and a free gin and tonic neither of us left without a smile! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Good tasty Japanese style food. But as a venue, it's terrible. This is one of the best food restaurants in Hatfield, (I know that's not saying much) Please you guys in here Japan, open your restaurant, Covid is a fact of life now so quit hiding and sort your restaurant out.

Went for a business meeting and the quality of the service together with the combinations of tastes in the food selection was actually amazing. Definitely a good treat if you like sushi and you are looking to make a good impression or treat yourself. Recommended!

We had the most fantastic time trying the tasting menu at Here Without a doubt this is the best Japanese food in This area. Every dish was superb, beautifully presented and with great quality fresh fish. The staff were lovely and very knowledgeable about the food as well. Will be returning!

Good quality sushi in this local Japanese sushi joint. Everyone who worked there was Chinese and the food quality was very good. Service was very good and the experience was good overall but I think there are some areas of improvident

Incredible food & fantastic service! Absolutely love this place. The teriyaki salmon and kimchi rice was a revelation - 10/10. We also had nigiri sushi selection. They gave us several sake tasters and the wine was delicious. Will be back

Honestly I do not want to tell you how mindblowingly good this restaurant is for fear that I'll never get in again. Because on a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 1000. Seriously. I've never had such flawless and caring service and the attention to detail in every direction is so impressive. And I haven't even talked about how AMAZING the food is yet! Fresh, delicious, and it all makes your mouth and heart SO happy

First time ordering from the restaurant, don't know if I my expectations were too high but never again. Ordered £15 for lunch, 4 items, salmon maki, tuna maki and two side. Expected some kind of quality from the restaurant but its the same you would get from the local supermarket meal deal, the same cheap tasting ingredients, quality and size the only difference is the price. I'm not moaning about the price because I was well aware of the individual prices before ordering, and was willing to pay for it but I couldn't believe how poor the quality the food it was, none of the items were fresh and sides were vegetable spring rolls and chicken gyoza both lukewarm. Would not recommend to anyone who has eaten real authentic sushi before because this restaurant does not do any of that. Go to the local supermarket instead its the same. 2 stars for the delivery time and driver.

Went to have lunch today and it was undergoing refurbishment so wasn't actually able to try it. There was no mention of it being closed so was a little disappointed. They offered takeaway, but we don't live locally so wouldn't be worth it. Judging by how rude the staff were, we won't be returning to try them when they reopen.

Unfortunately I was disappointed with this place - ordered a dragon roll and the rice was still warm and obviously had been made with too much water so it was soggy and had also made the prawn tempura inside the roll to be soggy too. Both aspects could be considered a 'school boy error' to sushi making. Each roll was tiny and rather bland. I'm just glad I had a discount code otherwise it'd be even more annoyed. Although this is my local sushi place, I definitely won't be returning and will stick to the best sushi in a neighbouring area beginning with a "B". I don't rate supermarket sushi but I think I would have got more satisfaction from buying the Sainsbury's one at a fraction of the price too.

Disappointed! We do not understand how this place can have this score. The rice was overcooked and the “crab” used is imitation crab meat, they should say that in the menu! We will not try this place again.

The shop canceled the order exactly at the time when I was supposed to collect. A heads up would of been courteous.

I literally have no idea what everyone is raving about. The food arrived far too quickly for it to have been made fresh. The beef and rice dish was basically all rice. The ramen seafood dish barely had any seafood, with half and egg and a bunch of seaweed. The food was lukewarm and bland at best. Nearly £26 plus £3 delivery so nearly £30 for 2 people and sub standard food is not "authentic and tasty" Japanese food. Dont bother. Save your money for decent food!!

Quality authentic Japanese food in Hatfield, who'd have thought it.

Hands down the best Japanese takeaway in Hertfordshire. And it's literally (well, almost literally) on my doorstep. Friendly people, excellent customer service, delicious food, super helpful, and reasonably priced. I became a regular customer.

The food was lovely. I was especially pleased with variety.

Sushi rice not seasoned, ruined what would have otherwise been a pretty nice meal. Been enjoying sushi for over 20 years and never had rice like this. Tastes like they missed out the vinegar completely. Bit disappointing spending so much to have worse rice than a supermarket sushi counter

I’ll be honest I was a bit mistrustful upon discovering a new sushi place but this restaurant was outstanding. Delivery was helpful and friendly, food was plentiful and delicious and very reasonably priced!! Would definitely order from here again

I've missed real Japanese food during lockdown, something you can't do at home.... Well, maybe you can but best left to the experts! I ordered tonkotsu ramen and spicy tuna rolls. Both absolutely delicious. Enjoyed them so much! Highly recommend! Thanks guys I'll be ordering again

Fantastic restaurant and food. Staff were great and really helpful, especially with dietary requirements. I'll be ordering from here again.

We had a take away expecting something rather special. The food was very poor. The Tempura batter was thick and greasy. The Chicken Katsu was dry and not al all tasty served with a synthetic flavoured sauce. The vegetable Udon was boring with not much flavour. The seaweed was ok, but it was a very small portion and overpriced. The meal cost £28.70 which is outrageous such mediocre fare. I think it's unlikely we will eat at Here Japan again.

Did not realise there was a Japanese restaurant in Hatfield. We live outside of the delivery area but was able to order and pay online through Just Eat And chose a collection time . The food quality equaled (or exceeded) the quality I was used to picking up in London when I commuted. We celebrated our anniversary during lockdown by bingeing on sushi! Will definitely order from Here Japan again.

Sushi and cooked food are just average, noodles are warm only with no favour. Price is a little high. Overall not very good. Will go back to check out the Chinese hotpot for future review.

I have been here twice now and been very impressed. The sashimi is great quality and reasonable priced. The other hot dishes are good too. Don’t be put off by the dodgy location!

What a delightful Japanese restaurant in the most unlikely location in the Market Place Hatfield hardly the place you would expect to find a specialised restaurant. This restaurant is rated 4.5 with Trip Advisor. The food was excellent and sensibly priced and the service was prompt. Our server was extremely polite and was never intrusive and we were made to feel especially welcome by the staff. I was especially impressed when the proprietor offered to get us some instant coffee from his adjacent flat because they didn’t serve it and gave us a valuable insight into the menu. When you arrive by car there is a free car park immediately next to the restaurant

Staff are friendly on entering.. seating is clean and comfortable and food is fresh and very good quality. The waitress that served us was very sweet and helpful. Great experience dining here. An asset to Hatfield. Thank you 🙂

I've been here many times now and have always had a good experience, definitely the best restaurant in Hatfield. The restaurant always seems to be pretty empty but the service is quick and the food is delicious. I particularly enjoy the yakitori and the katsu. The food is reasonably priced and makes a great date night!

Great range of Japanese food with delicious hot and cold dishes extending beyond the usual sushi and sashimi fare. Reasonably priced for the high quality and generously sized dishes. Don’t judge this from the outside shopping mall, Once you get inside this has a lovely Japanese feel to with small intimate booths to sit in or larger tables.Great for couples families and I have also seen people sitting alone eating which didn’t seem out of sync.

I did not eat better duck sushi ever than this place 😍, the noodles are amazing as well. I can't find the correct words to say how i love this place! Don't know what happend later, because tried to visite 3 or 4 other times and can't get my favourits and after the place was closed!? Or moved somewhere else? If anybody knows, please let me know, cuz i can't live without these tastes. Invited my friends too and wanna prove how good is Sushi by Here Japan! Bought some special ice cream too 😉

What an nice little find - tucked away on the 1st floor of Market PlaceDelightful serving staff.Food was delicious BUT some sushi was so cold it had ice in but only slightly. Other foods were warm not hot.We were only people in the freezing empty restaurant.All in all really nice food for the money, location terrible, atmosphere dead BUT worth a visit after saying all that - your best for the food & taking everything into account it’s really not bad

Placed a large order today for a group lunch at work. Very happy workplace after eating!

First off the Sushi was amazing and the staff very friendly. We will definitely go back again. However, one of us is vegan and whilst they politely prepared lots of vegan sushi for her and we took it away to eat at home - on opening we discovered lots of a mayonnaise-type dressing in there and therefore it was inedible. Also, you will see the miso soup is labelled with (v) on the menu BUT on asking they said it had fish stock in it. That is not vegetarian and thankfully we checked. We will definitely try again and want to support them but worth being wary of the vegan and vegetarian labelling.

Disappointing and overpriced for what it was. I got the salmon teriyaki and we got a lot of rice and 2 small square pieces of salmon for over £10 I was ripped off. Food was edible but not great. I think the portion/price ratio just put me off. Never coming back here again.
