Ordered 5pm, it is currently 7:28 and no sign of the delivery person. The sushi is great but honestly the wait times are horrendous. edit: arrived at 7:40

Love the food. But on iOS if ordering directly you have to order through the website. The app has been unavailable for months.

Traveled to UK this month and made good choice to order from this place. It was the best decision I have ever made. Very excellent food quality and so tasty food. It was also super fast delivery and good service. Next time in summer when I will travel to UK, I will order again. 😍

I ordered my food expecting a long delivery time - 2 hours. I waited over an hour past that expected delivery time only to have a conversation with the restaurant in which they informed me that they delivered the food to the wrong house. The restaurant advised me to write a review to explain my experience Can't comment on the food but not a great delivery experience

To be honest we've never expected this big delay on the delivery, me and my wife ate like 2 times and we love de sushi, but the costumer service is horrible, I'm still waiting for my food, I've ordered 2 hours ago.

There sushi is one ohe best I have had.i recommended place to a friend who ordered other stuff as well and all was delish.

Ordered sushi after a long 4 and a half hour drive and were told it was an hour wait to collect which was fine. However when we went to pick up had to wait a further 45 minutes! No prewarning about the delay so we just had to wait outside in our car. Hungry, annoyed and really ruined the whole experience. Poor service and little in the way of an apology. I have to say the food, when it did finally arrive was delicious, just a real shame on the customer service front. Wouldn't go again.

Ordered a delivery from here. Food arrived quickly and hot dishes were still hot. The sushi was absolutely lovely. Really impressed and will be ordering from here again.

We tried Lux when we first moved to Ipswich almost four years ago and were not really impressed. Just tried it again last night and the food was delicious. My husband who lived in Japan for three years hasn’t stopped going on about it. We rarely eat out/order in but this is now our go to place!

First time ordering sushi from lux taste and hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had, the delivery was very prompt too. Highly recommend

Tired of actually thinking Lux's delivery times will improve. This time no food, no tracking and no communication. Not interested in ordering from here again. Feel hungry and disappointed nearly 1hr later than the 'at the latest'! and still nothing! Even after calls and request for updates nothing....

Had our first order from LUX TASTE this evening and it was amazing! Everything was so fresh and tasty, will definitely order again.

We live in hadleigh, they delivered no problem! When the food arrived it was still so fresh, what was hot needed to be hot and what was cold needed to be cold. I also ordered sashimi, for anyone who doesn’t know sushi it is just raw cuts of meat, that was so fresh and still cold! I am very impressed with these guys, they did a fantastic job. I will definitely order from them again!!

Apparently according to the reviews the sushi is nice- I wouldn't know because the customer service is DESPICABLE. Ordered on deliveroo and waited 2 hours with no updates, called the restaurant over 20 TIMES and they alternated between letting it ring and taking it of the hook. Even deliveroo were unable to contact them. Pretty much everywhere was then closed so we didn't eat, went to bed and they knocked on the door at 11:10 pm, 3 hours after ordering. They said their rice cooker was broken, which still doesn't explain why they refused to answer the phone, never informed us of the delay and wasted our time, of course we went back to bed, all the food will be wasted as it's raw fish, and apparently they can't even cook rice in a pan either. Never again.

Took our money, accepted our order and then the order never arrived. Avoid.

This is what this town needs more of. Healthy, good food to takeaway at a reasonable price. Couldn’t fault my last order everything was tasty and authentic!

Tasty sushi but I have to knock a star off for delivery time. I understand it's a small team hence why it may take longer than usual but this one time I waited over two hours for my order. No call was given to update me and when I called them they seemed apologetic but didn't offer any sort of compensation. I hope that was a one off because their food is great and the prices are very affordable

My new favourite takeaway! Ordered many times and I'm never disappointed. The sushi is fresh and authentic, the menu offers a huge variety including lots of vegan and vegetarian options and the staff are always so friendly. One of the best food places in Ipswich.

I've ordered from Lux Taste twice now and I can't begin to tell you how delicious the sushi is. I'd go as far as to say its one of the best sushi I've had in the UK. Fresh, on point and delivery is good too! I mean a bit of a wait but it's worth it. The presentation is great. I highly recommend this place for sushi lovers!

We made a large order on a Sunday which did take time to deliver but the restaurant called us to pre-warn how long it would take. The sushi was delicious, we were pleasantly surprised about the quality. Definitely recommend if you fancy a sushi takeaway

Absolutely wowed by the superb sushi and consistent quality. The best sushi I have ever had. Everything was utterly fresh and of exceptional flavour. Top quality ingredients. This is also good value for the experience and variety.

I know my sushi and unfortunately Lux quality does not match their price. Most ingredients they use are on the "Tesco experience" side of it but their price follows the "Roka" tag. I had a good experience with staff and delivery however, and if they improve their quality to match their prices I can guarantee they will turn out to be a big name in Ipswich. Oh, and please, you need to learn to provide an amount of soy sauce equivalent to the size of the order.

The best sushi we have had in Ipswich. Reasonably priced. Tastes great. Service was good. Only thing we didn't like was the wasabi. Quite bland and didn't have the kick.

Veggie Futomaki Roll is the best one. The quality was good. Scheduled delivery is supported which I liked.

The pizzas are fantastic, better than a sit down restaurant. The sushi tastes so fresh and with any oder I have never ever been disappointed. Delivery is a bit on the drag however this is due to the location on where I live. All in all can never fault.

Amazing food. Really fast and cheap delivery. We recently had sushi in expensive restaurant - same quality. Soon will be our 10th order. You should do special customer cards 😉

Food was poor. Had a tempura prawn rice bowl but switched out for salad and the prawns were warm and tempura prawns were cold. There were six slices of cucumber and the rest was just a massive portion of lettuce. Also ordered the calamari for a starter of which was not very nice. Calamari is meant to be slightly rubbery and this was soft and the batter was very greasy and bland.

First time customer to LUX Taste and thoroughly enjoyed the food, we had rice bowls, sushi and a pizza. The pizza was amazing and had that authentic taste, the rice bowls full of flavour, would have loved more within the bowl however. Sushi was equally enjoyable, perfect Friday night dinner. Only slight problem was the delivery/pick up times but understandable due to the type of food. Will definitely be ordering again 👍

The staff is very rude. I called to ask if my order is ready. I was told to go there to check if the order is ready. I was there and the girls was outside smoking and when i ask if my order is ready they said i need to wait because they didn't start yet. I leave and they still outside smoking.

It's a takeaway/delivery sushi place. I visited it while I was in town for a short visit and I quite enjoyed the food. I had a Fish Bowl and an Unagi & Sesame roll and they were both rather tasty! The portion I got for my Fish Bowl takeaway was a little small I think. It was just enough for me and I am a pretty small eater. Not sure if it'll be enough for others. The Unagi & Sesame roll was nice too but a little dry? Could use a little more of the unagi sauce for sure. Overall, pretty great Japanese takeaway in Ipswich!

The food is fantastic and staff are polite it’s just a real shame about the delivery times. The waiting time is an hour which I personally think is a long time as it is however I do understand it’s a more of a complex food to cook. My girlfriend and I have used Lux Sushi 5 times and every occasion they are more than 25+minutes late than the initial ETA. If only they could sort out the delivery schedules I would of scored them a 5 star but delivery being one of the major parts of a take away it’s sadly a 3.

Amazing sushi! But consistently late for quoted delivery times by at least 25 minutes every time. Today we were quoted 1 hour and 15 minutes, 2 hours later and we’re still waiting 😭 They never even contacted us to advise on the delay, we’ve ordered from them many times and every time has been the same. On the bright side the lady is always very pleasant when we call to ask for an update.

I have recently tried to place an order with luz sushi multiple times the order has gone through payment has come out and then they have messaged and said they have to cancel the order. They advertise they are open yet don’t accept any orders. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Located in a rather salubrious part of town, opposite a Turkish store, in what feels like a taxi office is Lux. I doubt those positively reviewing this place have even had average sushi, let alone real sushi as lux sushi barely resembles a stock photo of sushi, which incidentally is what ALL of their promotional images actually are. The food Massively oversized clumps of overcooked an unseasoned rice, closet in texture to pudding rice rather than proper sushi rice. The fish tasted frozen & completely lacked flavour. The unagi was disgusting, firm with no flavour. There is obviously a reason why they mainly only offer salmon, any attempt to try and deviate from the menu is met with a blank look from the east European lady preparing the food. The wasbi is some weird piped rosette of green which doesn’t even taste of horseradish let alone wasabi & it’s placed next to the pickled ginger which is itself touching the sushi, which is a huge fail. Your better of going to the Tesco opposite than eat here.

There is just one word to describe this sushi take away place - ‘Amazing’. They serve the most fresh and yummy shushis with a wide variety and personal touch. Just love everything about the place- the food, chef and service. Keep it up!

Ordered this and highly confused why there are such good reviews. Over two hours to get here... very mediocre food. No communication between the ordering site and Lux.. (used deliveroo) and had to ask for a sweetener on the fact we waited so long for our ASAP order.. was fobbed off with being told if we ring we get 20 percent off.. however nothing to prove we were told this, so not sure how many businesses would take word of a random over phone and knock 20% Off a bill... none that are any good if you ask me?! Won't be coming again. Very disappointed.

Having had a second chance to try Lux Sushi I'm delighted to say they were very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and that is reflected in the quality of the food they serve. My partner and I tried a multitude of dishes and I haven't got a bad word to say about any of them. Our favourites were the tempura shrimp. I would definitely recommend Lux to someone who already knows they like sushi, but equally I'd recommend it to a first timer because they'll be able to answer any questions you might have have and will be able to recommend a dish based on your preferences.

Just had an AMAZING sushi takeaway from here. Simple selection of sushi, but good quality, nice and fresh. I would recommend the crispy shrimp uramaki rolls. Incredible. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Very impressed with this place. I am really fond of Japanese food in general and it is great that we now have a couple of options in Ipswich. The sushi was lovely and fresh and very tasty. The lady chef who dealt with my order was extremely friendly and helpful. She told me that there were many more options than are shown on the website but unfortunately there are still no new menus available to take away. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon because I would love to try more of what they have to offer!

As it says in the title this is easily the best sushi in the area. They don't have an eat in option, but have recently just started delivery!However for the 4 or 5 times we have had it we just went to collect it as it was worth the drive. They have a decent selection considering they are just starting out and I am quite impressed so far. I certainly recommend them, and now they deliver they have crossed off the only negative I really had about them. Hopefully they will continue to get business and go from strength to strength. My hope is that the owners/chefs pay a visit to London and see how sushi is made there - adopt the ideas that they do in London and bring them to Ipswich and success will be guaranteed!Don't fall into the trap off going down the "supermarket" or "yo yo sushi" route.......go down the restaurant idea route and you will just increase on what is already very high quality :)Can't wait for our next order!

A wonderful sushi bar has opened up in Ipswich. It is staffed by a delightful young woman who is happy to explain what is on offer and who makes the food to order. It is delicious, and worth every penny.

I love this place and try to go as often as possible. LUX Sushi is near where I work, and after a difficult day, the dragon rolls are not only delicious, it is a mood changer. You get great portions and in my opinion great value for money for such tasty, fresh ingredients. Can't wait I can go there again.

Best sushi bar in Ipswich.😍 Everything is fresh and taste delicious. My favourite must be Summer set, it has 15pcs, one of them is tempura prawn roll🍤 which is my favourite. I highly recommend this place, if you haven’t been there yet, you should try it now! 👌🏻🍣🍱

This is a small kiosk that does takeaway sushi. The sushi is all made to order (which is great) so I would recommend calling up and ordering in advance, don't turn up expecting to take stuff away straight off.

Lovely sushi, it's just a pity about the 2 hour wait and the fact they didn't have tuna or prawn... Other than that it was good.

Finally some decent sushi in Ipswich! The dragon roll is not to be missed! The nigiri 🍣 were delicious. The Hosomaki were a bit on the small side but, the perfectly cooked rice, fresh fish & smiley service means I will definitely return.

This sushi take-away emporium is the latest business to occupy the small kiosk on the St Matthews roundabout in this dead part of Ipswich that isn't quite in the cosmopolitan Norwich Road area, with a variety of cafes, restaurants and exotic grocery shops, and isn't in the soulless and all-but-abandoned town centre. Previous endeavours at this site haven't lasted long, so it will be interesting to see how this one fares in a location that doesn't benefit from natural footfall.
