Vile! Ordered a Saturday night takeaway. one dish had ordinary onions instead of spring onions and with only two and a half prawns. The sweet and sour chicken didn't seem to be from a chicken at all. Chewy and dry. Noodles weren't too bad. Very expensive and extremely poor value. Never Again.

We just happened to find this place , and what a find ….. food was amazing …. Cooked fresh and the tastes were good . Staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend

My partner and I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch date at 92 Noodle Bar. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual lunch, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere creating an inviting vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. We both loved our noodle dishes The roasted duck noodles was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. This is a fantastic spot for a quick and delicious lunch. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

10 of us decided to order outside the menu to celebrate Chinese New Year. Owner was very accommodating and the food was cooked to our liking even catering for couple of my vegetarian friends who don’t eat garlic and onion, challenging but was successfully delicious. We all had a wonderful time and thank you so much for the lovely meal and will certainly be back soon.

Lovely Lunar New Year with friends last night. Staff are fantastic nothing to much trouble. Food and portions are very good and tasty. Amazed at price, 6 ladies with a couple of drinks each and paid £34 a head. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.

Second visit here, 1st wasn't great either but my son wanted to tried it again. Staff are just going through the motions, pleasant enough to be fair. for is over priced pot noodle, bland, small portions and bland, did I mention how bland the food is..?!!

Fantastic food and great variety with excellent service from the team. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. I'm looking forward to returning very soon.

Food was tasty and there is a good selection of dishes available. Unfortunately both my girlfriend and I had diarrhea within an hour after eating here so we will not be going again

Saw a sign for this along the Waterfront and decided to give it a go (just a short walk through to Fore Street). We were welcomed with a friendly reception and despite being just off the road it's quiet and relaxed inside. There's a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, I ordered a dish that was in the web menu but not on the menu in the restaurant, this wasn't a problem at all and the Bean Curd and Spicy Sichuan Sauce (Mapo Tofu) was excellent. My partner ordered fried noodles which were also really good. We'd only stopped for a quick bite but will definitely be back to try more from the menu. The prices are more than reasonable too. Highly recommended, an unassuming exterior leads to a hidden gem in Ipswich.

Staff were lovey and friendly! Food was amazing. Good price for the food. I would definitely recommend to visit in the afternoon as it’s quite. I have anxiety so when I went in the afternoon I found it to be a perfect place to eat.

This place gave me diarrhea for 3 days. I phoned to let them know and I was just shushed away. With no follow up email or call or apology. The food was also not comparable to Trongs one bit. There is no way this place is the third best Chinese in Ipswich.

Straight off the bat, this isn't your standard Chinese takeaway. The noodles are handmade and the food is clearly freshly prepared. The prices, of course, reflect this, however the slightly higher prices are well worth the extra quality.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Stir fried broccoli with garlic was a standout dish, chilli tofu and stir fried noodles with pak choi and mushrooms were also really good.

Best hot and sour soup ever. Friendly and welcoming. Normally have a takeaway as it’s only five minutes away. Always hot with everything we’ve ordered.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant - we went here on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed; there is a great selection of meat dishes, as well as an extensive vegetarian menu. The staff are very attentive and couldn't be friendlier. I cannot fault this restaurant and would happily recommend visiting to anyone.

Outstanding. I had no idea what the place would be like but it turned out to be quite excellent. The decor is modest but quite OK, the dining area really clean, the service good and the food some of the best I've had in a restaurant of this type. The amount was dead right, it was fairly priced and all served with grace and a smile. First class and should I ever find myself in Ipswich again I know where to go for a really good oriental meal.

So glad we stumbled across this gem. Authentic Chinese food, noodles made from scratch, deliciously fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff are lovely, the prices are reasonable, it's definitely my favourite restaurant in Ipswich.

Stumbled across this Chinese after visiting Ipswich, saw the reviews looked good. We arrived shortly after it opened so it wasn’t busy and only had another table of guests. The food we had was poor, duck was overcooked and dry along with prawn toast which came out burnt. We had honey roast pork and special fried rice, the pork was also dry and overcooked and came with a bit of tin pineapple, the sauce had no flavour and the special friend rice was very unspecial having barely any meat in it and a few dried up prawns. Up there with the worst Chinese I have ever had so not very impressed considering the reviews on here

We went last night to the noodle bar and reserved a table. It was a lovely quiet atmosphere inside, we were actually one of the only tables occupied. It was very easy to talk and catch up which made it all the better. We were served our drinks quickly, some large cokes in nice cold glasses. We opted to share a starter the satay chicken skewers. These were nice, you get 4 but we couldn’t see on the menu where this was stipulated. Lots of chicken, nice sauce and nice and warm. The only problem.. we did not get given a plate, but being skewers perhaps this is why. For meals we both had a chicken curry each, one with egg fried rice one with boiled rice. I’m fussy and not a fan of carrots and peas, and the man who took our order (the manager I presume) was more than happy to let me customise my order to my taste. We both found very generous portions. Warm food and lots of chicken in our curry. It was very nice. The only downside, when ordering curry and the reason I have not left 5 stars. You do need to order the curry and rice separate, which with a curry sauce at £8.90 and a bowl of egg fried rice at £4.50, it made for quite an expensive curry. However, it came out quickly, it was absolutely delicious and did have plenty of chicken. We did also have to pay for the prawn crackers but they were lovely! We both left feeling very pleased, and will have to try something different on the menu next time.

my daughter had the worst experience this evening at this restaurant. She went there with my little boy, only to be told the place was booked out! 2 minutes later, she was told there was a table available. They sat down and waited to be offered drinks/ for their order to be taken, only to be ignored. Some customers started looking at them as they noticed they were being ignored. There was a table, behind them who were being offered additional drinks although they already had drinks. So my daughter decided to leave as she was feeling really ignored. On her way out that when the manager finally decides to show interest on them!! Such a joke! Is it because she is a young black girl with a kid?! We are NEVER ever going back there again!! Their food is overpriced anyway for what's it's worth!!

Really magic afternoon I spent with my friend here. Delicious Chinese cuisine and perfect service. We decided to share the meal called Set Menu B a. Mixed Starters b. Chicken with Green Pepper in Black Bean Sauce c. Fried Beef with Ginger&Spring Onion d. Sweet & Sour Pork e. Special Fried Rice. I recommend this place.

Delicious flavoursome Chinese food - we had wonton noodle soup, spicy fried udon with king prawns, rice with mapo tofu (very "ma la"!), spicy green beans and pickled vegetable fish soup. We walked in just after 2pm on a Friday and were welcomed - very friendly - and they were happy to cook up all this for the 6 of us before the kitchen closed at 2:30. Big portions too. Would love to return next time we are in the area.

This place is amazing. Came across it by chance one wet evening in Ipswich a few years ago and have been going ever since. We pass through Ipswich a few times a year for an event in Suffolk and now always make sure we can go for food here. Best Chinese food have ever had in the UK. Always look forward to it and they have never let us down. Really good quality and reasonably priced. Not to be missed if you are in the area. Gutted as this summer we will be passing through on the one day of the week they are closed. But next time!

I arrived on a Friday lunchtime and was greeted pleasantly by a nice member of staff who kindly allowed me to store my bike somewhere safe. The food was cooked to perfection and the ingredients were so fresh, prices were very reasonable too. Will definitely visit again!

Poor quality food that tasted like it had been warmed up in the microwave. Nothing tasted fresh. Some vegetables looked half eaten. Very expensive for a take away. Will not be going here again.

We enjoyed the food at this restaurant. It had some different items on the manual that we haven’t seen on any of our local restaurant menus. The soft shelled crabs were lovely and can defiantly recommend the beef brisket and potato as a dish to try.

We walked past the main strip of food places, all of which were a bit 'trendy' looking and busy so we carried on walking, found an alleyway and the other side was this little gem! Extensive menu, helpful, friendly staff and lovely food. Really good value too.

Treated fine, but remember a funny sensation immediately after eating, and then I had indigestion that night and couldn't sleep. Shame, otherwise was fine.

You can tell the ingredients are super fresh and the flavour is excellent without all the salt of the normal Chinese. Would recommend.

Amazing flavorful food. The noodles are simply amazing, the spicy ones pack a punch, but all dishes are brilliant. It is a real hole in the wall, but for the quality of food you can forgive everything else. The proprietors do an fantastic job, they ensure all patrons are well looked after.

Booked a table for 5pm, only to be confronted with locked door at 5pm, when looking in the window staff were eating & ignoring us. Waited until 5.10, still locked and waited outside so decided to go elsewhere as clearly customer service is not thier top priority. We walked to spring Road & went the the Masha, highly recommended 👌

The food is very good here . The first time there, I had the poached fish, which is an amazing spicy Chinese dish, hard to find, and only in authentic Chinese restaurant ,my partner had homemade Won Ton noodles soup which very good . The second time, we had set menu D, which offers a great variety of food if you want to have a big meal Go for this option 😋 Iwill recommend this place

Have driven past this place many times but never made the excuse to go. I'm glad I finally did! Went for lunch and only a couple of tables were in before us so we were greeted and sat down straight away. There was loads to choose from on the menu. They have a vegan menu available too. We ordered the mixed starter to share and a dish each. Everything was brought out in good time and looked incredible. Every dish was fresh and tasted amazing. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and I really enjoyed my experience it's probably one of the best Asian meals I've had in Ipswich.

Delicious Chinese food. I have been here several times and it never disapoints. I always eat the vegetarian dishes which have wonderful flavours. Very reasonable priced. Also very helpful staff. Wonderful!

Have only ever had takeaway from here, food is really lovely ... however on more than one occasion now we have been give a time frame of 45mins and its been well over that, sometimes 45mins over!!! When I have called to question it, they say they are very busy with bookings... my advice would be maybe don't take takeaway orders when you are busy if you arent able to keep on top of it. We have found the food to not be great when they are busy too .... so a bit hit and miss as to what the food/service will be like. The manager has offered us a free takeaway next time as an apology... so will see how that is. Such a shame as the food can be sooooo lovely.

Wow! Absolutely loved our visit. Not the classiest looking establishment but that won't worry you when you get your food. The food is so fresh, like properly home cooked food. Didn't taste overly sweet or artificial like some does. Can't wait to go back.

Handmade noodle dishes - a must try here!

Visited on a Saturday evening with friends, we had a lovely time, we had many dishes between us, all very tasty expecially the beef in black bean sauce. Good selection of dishes at reasonable prices with a good selection of drinks. Good service from friendly staff.

Everything was great aside from the noodles which were greasy and lacked both meat and flavour. They were blander than a pot noodle.

… well … reasonably priced. And that was the case too. Ok. So time to come clean. I never intended to go to 92 Noodle Bar. I had arrived in Ipswich and wanted to grab some food before things closed. An allergen friendly restaurant caught my attention and I walked over. However, turned out they only open for delivery on Mondays and Tuesdays but don’t make it clear on their website. So, sodden and cold (it was a freezing wet evening), I ventured back looking at my phone for an alternative. 92 Noodle Bar was an option that popped up and I realised I was just 2 minutes walk away. So I decided to try. I was somewhat underwhelmed as it wasn’t very busy. But the staff were warm and welcoming and very happy to help identify gluten free dishes. I was spoilt for choice to be honest. Food arrived fairly quickly. Very good portions and tasted good too. I would class this as an old school Chinese restaurant (in a good way). Lots of choices on the menu, generous portions and everything very reasonably priced. I was stuffed. Oh and they noticed I was cold and sodden so seated me next to a radiator which warmed me up nicely. Don’t expect a posh or hipster dining experience. Expect good food in sn easygoing place and you’ll love it.

Nice and busy noodle bar. Food was very good and the service was great. There was a good atmosphere and we had a fantastic friday evening.

Had the set meal but the starter ribs were luke warm otherwise ok. We had luke warm plates given to us for our main courses but when the main dishes arrived they were served in extremely cold dishes hence food did not stay warm long. We asked for 2 of the dishes to be warmed up which they did in the microwave. No apology and one dish came back all dried up round the edges. All in all quite an unsatisfactory visit. There are many more options in Ipswich to try

Dont eat the normal stuff on the menu. Ask for the Chinese menu and ask the lady owner to translate. North Western Chinese cuisine. Excellent food.

You walk in, and it's a slightly eclectic mix of traditional tea room and a Chinese restaurant. The music playing when I was there was also exactly what you wouldn't expect to be playing... Not traditional Chinese music, nor what you'd expect for a tea room! The menu is nearly layed out and nowhere near as baffling as many Chinese restaurants can be. Oh, and "Noodle bar" is not quite how I describe it... They do traditional Chinese food made for Brits. There's no duck tongues or beef offal... Just the regulars (wish they'd cross the line a little though!). I always judge Chinese restaurants on their won-ton soup, and this one was exceptional. A very delicate broth with handmade dumplings. Really good. The mains were equally well made. We were all very impressed. For the 3 of us [beef brisket, plain rice, chicken and noodle soup, won-ton soup, xo king prawns, plain chow mein, 2x shared starters, a coke, a lemonade, a large mineral water] came to ~£54, and we were totally stuffed! Great quality, great service, ... We'll be back! Just don't all go at once!! ;) 2023 Update: sadly fell a little short of our previous experience. After trying to explain to our waitress how "Minimum 2 people" for the mixed starters worked (!), once they arrived our starters were great. However our mains took a very long time to arrive. I had finished my won ton soup main a good 10mins before the last dish was served to our table. From arriving to leaving it took 1h50... way too long. This was excused by the owner that they had only today reopened following the Xmas break. £122 for 5 people, including drinks, starters and mains for all. We unfortunately were not impressed by the mains, and unanimously said we would have preferred to have just had more starters! Pity. Perhaps an off day.

I live in Singapore and was craving for Asian food while visiting Ipswich. 92 Noodle Bar didn’t disappoint at all by delivering delicious authentic Chinese food at an affordable price. Would certainly recommend this restaurant if that’s what you’re looking for!

Went to this restaurant today and dishes are authentic! I am Chinese and the foods taste great like from my hometown. We had fish, fried pepper and pork strips as well as pak choi with shiitake.

Possibly the best Chinese food I've ever had, got to be visited.

I had a take away and to be honest was not great at all, tasted like the sauce was from a trade 4 lite tub on the ribs, the ribs were tough and did not fall off the bone as you would like, the main was not as bad the chicken black bean sauce. A shame as I heard it was good maybe not good for take away, the spring rolls tasted frozen and the filling was not good at all, I could have bought from Iceland shop and they are better, Hand made spring rolls are awesome, a shame they do not do this, I will not go back to order from them

Needed somewhere for a quick lunch and found this little noodle bar along the waterfront. The duck noodle was pretty good but service was not great. Would visit again.

Ordered Dumplings, egg fried rice and noodles for delivery. Delivery was quick, since we stay near by and also it was non peak hours I think. Order came with a complimentary prawn crackers. Anyway, we were slightly disappointed with food, mainly the noodles which was bit oily and also the dumplings filling was good but not the wrap. Egg fried rice was good.

Ordered rice from the vegan menu, has egg in it. Really disappointing. Delivery was 25 minutes late (1hr25 wait in total) and I would argue it's over priced for what it is

the food was good but the service was horrible. the manager talked down to one of the young staff who was nothing but lovely and served us our meal and drinks. the boy was nice and the girl with glasses but the elder lady was shouting in the kitchen and staff and pushing past the staff. its a shame as its a nice, calm environment. i ordered salt and pepper squid and it was cold, the girl with glasses took it to the staff only room and took it back out and it was only a bit warm. they had put it in the microwave!! how unhygienic.

I love coming here and ordering the soup noodles 💕 All of their noodles dishes are soo amazingly good because it’s handmade PLUS they do some really authentic Chinese dishes 🥰 Most of their dishes are soo cheap and delicious (the Chinese authentic dishes are a little more pricey but still they’re soo yummy!) The staff are also very attentive and nice x

We went there as they have a separate vegan menu 😋 We ordered far to much food as the portion sizes of the mains are great, we enjoyed it all so much! Brilliant tasty food and left completely stuffed. They were very busy and still managed to look after us well, the staff were amazing and polite and helpful. Will return for some more food once I've regained consciousness from my food coma. Vegetable dumplings were amazing, the tofu satay was top notch. Brocoli in garlic sauce 😋 👌 Thank you! The food was fantastic, I total recommend the salt and pepper squid starter (just wish there was more of it or as a main dish) Service was friendly and the place was welcoming. It’s a small restaurant but I like that and very clean.

This place is unbelievably good. We've had many meals in places like this and been disappointed or mildly contented. However, the Noodle Bar is in a league of it's own. The food is fresh, tasty and just outstanding. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is serving authentic Chinese food that is savory and flavorful. The restaurant is very casual but don't let that fool you... the food is simply superb. The service was friendly, prompt and efficient.

The food here is really amazing. The noodles are lovely and its nice to see 'proper' Asian dishes offered to Western customers. My only complaint is that the lunch portion that I had was absolutely tiny and not worth the nearly £10 price tag. When I had dinner there previously the portion was so big that I had to take half of it home, but when I had lunch there I could have eaten at least double. Granted, I did order different dishes and maybe thats just the way that they come. Also, it said that lunch came with 2 free side dishes, which sounds great! - but then I wasn't offered any! Maybe it would have seemed like a better deal for my money if I had been.... I do have to reiterate though that both times I have been the food was absolutely incredible.

Authentic dishes, great fresh meals tasting fabulously for an absolute affordable price. Wonderful and attentive service. Child friendly environment and super fast cooks. We didn't even wait 10 minutes for our dishes. One thing only I would want to see improved: a fan or aircon would be great for the hot and sticky days. Thanks for a great dinner after a long journey

Absolutely the best Chinese in Ipswich (miles above Trongs). My guess is the people leaving mediocre reviews are the people ordering very English dishes - mixed starter, sweet and sour etc. The sichuan king prawns are amazing and we can’t wait to come back to...

Perfectly good meal, nice chicken noodles and the sizzling chicken and crispy beef were excellent. Only poor items were the rib starters, rather cold and unappetising.

Nothing like the genuine Asian food you get in London, Manchester, Leeds etc. Worse, one of us has been vomiting since eating there. There are plenty of other places in town - my advice is to try one of them.

Probably one of the worst Chineses Ive had. Everything was so flavourless except a couple of starters. Had sweet and sour prawns which had no taste, served yellow bean chicken which look like it had been boiled in water. Won’t be returned when there is such good options elsewhere for Chinese in Ipswich

Fish ball noodles here are so good, real authentic Asian food.
