Ordered online for a take away and the money was taken but when we went to collect the food the restaurant was closed. Still haven't been able to contact the restaurant and it still appears to be closed! Update is we have had an email confirming cancellation of the order and our money was refunded

Excellent quality food, staff always attentive and friendly. Recommended. UPDATE: this place does customer service at a new level! Through out our 3 hour stay, they looked after our family group of 10 with great warmth, attention and humour ❤️❤️. Oh, by the way, the food was fantastic too. Sooooo happy that they are open again for dine-in sittings. A really wonderful dining experience - keep doing it this way 😊👍👍👍

Had a table for four people, Can’t say how friendly the staff were , very polite and helpful, very rare to find that nowadays. Starters came out and was absolutely lovely, followed by the duck and pancakes. Then we ordered mains , which was also very good . I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We be bck soon , no pea lee 😃

We had take away and it was OK. It's between 3-4 stars. However, I am leaving 3 as I have been disappointed in spring rolls. All of them had only cabbage. It wasn't vegetable spring roll. It was cabbage only spring roll. Samosa has been really nice, had some extra as they are pretty small in comparison. Delivery has been around 7.10 but received just after 7.30. So a bit of delay. Maybe because it's Sunday. Prices are good. Might try to order again just different food. Year after but still would give 3starts. Although spring rolls better this time, my partner haven’t enjoyed his ribs at all.

Haven't been since this became MY Chinese but we were not disappointed. The service was great, my son was made a fuss of, everyone was polite and friendly and the food was incredible! We will be coming back....often!

Three of us went for a meal/supper here at about 5pm. We were greeted in a really friendly manner. Indeed, the whole staff were attentive and friendly. We paid £25 a head for unlimited food, and the food was plentiful and really delicious. We had a delightful time, and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Lovely service and great food. Atmosphere takes a hit on the ratings only because the restaurant was very empty. This didn't impact my food which was terrific throughout.

Restaurant has just reopened after covid and has had a little update and looks more modern now. Food was fabulous, freshly cooked, hot and very tasty! Staff friendly and helpful and I’m already looking forward to my next visit

I visited My Chinese Restaurant on 12th Apirl 2023 & was not impressed , i came in a group of 6 people from work . Once we stepped in we all knew the service was going to be poor as wasn't greeted! Then we had the starters which look like come from Iceland and not made on the premises, Duck was ok but fatty then the mains were like out of a takeaway box. We have been here before but this has gone downhill!!!! I would avoid this place as there is much better buffet restaurants in ipswich. poor service poor food sorry but need to be honest after a hard days work.

Visited this place before, while visiting through work. Prices have gone up,and less food on the plate. (Ordered a starter for two,) which was considerably less than the previous visit. Food is quite nice though staff very friendly and welcoming.

We often order takeaway from this restaurant and we get prices have had to go up. However, they have not only put the prices up, tonight food was appalling, £50 plus for our order and the food barely feed 3 of us, all containers were half empty, with the exception of the rice. Great food, but no way will we be ordering from these guys again. This is the second time too in the last two weeks. We gave them the benefit of the doubt last week. Sad that they feel the need to do this.

Very tasteless beef curry egg fried rice and special fried rice was just like boiled rice with things added salt and pepper chicken wings were ok

Eating in is not allowed at the moment. However, delivery and take out are available. Dishes here are super affordable, and menu selection is really easy. Very friendly staff. Waiting time here is really short, the longest I have had to wait was 5 minutes

We loved coming here to dine in. The service is quick and friendly and the food is always good. Highly recommend if you want a meal out with others or as a pair!

We ordered a take away via Just Eat on New Year’s Eve and we were very impressed. The food took a little longer to arrive (understandably) but when it came it was very hot and tasted amazing. We will definitely be using this restaurant/take away again. Highly recommend!

Literally the worst Chinese I've ever had would give zero stars if I could. See it said restaurant and was in old 96 spot thought it would be a decent Chinese, very wrong. Chow mein was burnt so overcooked the noodles fell apart and had no texture, the egg fried rice contained spring onion which doesn't tell you on the menu. An allergen emergency waiting to happen there only decent thing in our order was the prawn toast.

Only called to book a table unfortunately they are closed for business at present such a shame

The food as alweays was delicious but the service tonight appalling, not once did anyone come and ask if anything was okay or more food needed despite falling over themselves to the table next to us, disgraceful we are both paying the same amount.

The chef if probably great, as the food tastes good. However, they pile on the salt, MSG, and sugar(later resulting in all members of our party feeling somewhat unwell) - so, by the time we reached the second course, we were thoroughly parched. Bearing in mind that you can expect to wait at least an hour before courses, the aim here is clearly to maximise income rather than compassion about the food.

Had this Chinese tonight it made me throw up. Worst take-out ive ever had. Do not get the re heated rice and definitely Don't get the spare ribs.... all fat, horrible taste. Waste of money. Never again

We were the only ones in there on Sunday afternoon. We went for the buffet lunch and we were a little disappointed when we were told that it was no longer available and the alternative was a two course set price menu. That said, we stayed and enjoyed what we had, there was a reasonable choice of starters and main course. The food was freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. We had a good chat with the very friendly waitress after our meal. We left contented and would go back again if in the area.

Ordered takeaway here on a Saturday night. First time ordering from this place as my usual Chinese was just too busy to take more orders. Well, I wish I haven't. The food just wasn't good at all. Tasteless, some of the stuff stale and soggy. Never again.

We got our first takeaway from here, previously we'd eaten in and was impressed with the food then. I'm not the biggest fan of Chinese food and wouldn't often jump at the chance for it but MY has changed me slightly that if I get it from there, my enthusiasm jumps up. Ordered online, very easy and user friendly. We are out of delivery range so had to collect. They gave a collection time, and sure enough we turned up at the time and the food was ready and piping hot. The food was delicious, the flavours were exceptional. Nothing bland. To the same standard as eating in there restaurant. Portions are generous so you're not going to go hungry. There is only one draw back, lack of parking. Where the restaurant is positioned, there isn't anywhere you can park close just to grab your food, so take someone with you to look after the car.

I never leave reviews but I’m so disgusted with these people I felt compelled! Twice they’ve taken cash for orders they haven’t deliver! TWICE in a matter of weeks.. then when u complain they take a week to return money!.. Rude, disgusting, ill mannered staff.. food is ok.. only ordered due to delivery! Tonight I’ve been left with no dinner and no money to order elsewhere... ANIMALS! And they do not care one bit either! I’ll never eat from here again, neither will anyone I speak to! Frequently attend here for birthday celebrations for all the family , all you can eat buffet which is cooked to order, came on a rare occasion just me and my partner on 30/8, this place can not be faulted, always greeted with a smile (not on this occasion due to staff wearing masks) COVID regulation are above what I expected with plastic shields segregating each table, hand sanitizers at the front door and bathrooms. Never a reason to complain definitely worth every penny, will definitely be returning

Had Grandchildren up for lunch so we thought it would be a treat to have some delivered. I rang to order and I specifically asked if we could have the lemon juice separate from the chicken as they don't like the juice, she said it would be fine. It came and we all started to take it out of the bag and I saw the lemon chicken was swimming in lemon juice in the tub! The disappointment was unbelievable. I rang to let them know and said hopefully next time they would make more effort to get it right and she just said "Yes, next time" I have never had a bad meal from here but it did ruin our lunch unfortunately.

I have not had a decent Chinese takeout in the last 6 years where I am located, so it was with some reluctance that I agreed to order a take away last night, I was proved wrong. The food was hot, delicious and pretty decent. I had chicken in black pepper sauce, it was tasty, hot and I had the left overs for lunch today. We also shared a chow mein which was lovely too, my b/f had pork sweet and sour which was also delicious. Of course I had to also order prawn toast which was hot, fresh and not greasy. I will not hesitate next time a take away is suggested.

Me and some friends came here 5:30 on a Thursday. The staff were lovely, the food was outstanding and by far the best salt and pepper squid I have ever had! I always find going on a less busy day of the week to any food place is always better as the food is less rushed and spot on! Here was lovely, service was quick. There for a couple of hours and we ordered as and when we liked and they were always their to offer more drinks when needed! The music was awesome and at a perfect volume. Toilets were lovely and clean and hygienic too so that's always a bonus and hard to find!!!

As relatively new to the area we tried this restaurant a few weeks ago as not had a decent Chinese for some time. Service was good, staff very friendly (and one of their sons was helping when we visited, very polite and helpful young lad).Food was ok, some dishes were a bit over cooked and greasy. Duck was lovely!! Decent price, and not over pushy to get you out or to order more. We had a nice relaxed evening. Pretty sure we will return!

Have walked past this place many times on my way in to town, so needing soime lunch thought it would be worth a try. Trad British Chinese restaurant inside with a fish tank (not for eating!). I had salt and pepper prawns tio start followed by duck with black bean and chilli sauce and some special fried rice. Tasty and served with a smile. Pretty good value too.

We wanted to find somewhere close to the New Wolsey Theatre for a pre-show dinner for a group of ten. MY was very accommodating and worked around our time constraints. The staff were so helpful and we were put on a big round table with a lazy Susan where all of the food was presented and we helped ourselves.

Always come here when i'm in the area. The food they offer for vegetarians is great, especially the vegetarian platter. It is a bit more pricey than other Chinese restaurants in the area but it's still not bad and it is banquet style so worth the price. The staff are super friendly, also. Definitely recommend this place to vegetarians and meat eaters, it's great here.
