The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Japanese food

We went to Cognitio, in Lincoln for our Wedding Anniversary. We had a wonderful meal, the pork gyoza were amazing by far our favourites followed closely by the the Tuna sushi and the pork belly. We were served by Tyler who made us feel welcome and was attentive but not intrusive,she was knowledgeable about all the dishes, a credit to you. This was our 1st visit but certainly won't be our last.

Came here recently for dinner. Service was fast, food portions were good and everything ordered tasted great. Overall another great experience!

I always walked by this place without looking in, but one day I tried it and it's now my favourite sushi place. The staff are always very polite and food arrives super quickly. It's reasonably priced and has never disappointed me yet!

Restaurant de ramen présent en plusieurs endroits en ville d'Edimbourg. J'ai commandé du kimchi, ainsi qu'un ramen au poulet bien épicé. Un peu dommage que la composition des ramen ne soit pas détaillée sur la carte, mais rien de bien grave. Après dégustation : Kimchi top... Poulet bien tendre... La portion de poulet aurait pu être un poil plus grande... Nouilles savoureuses... Portion de nouilles généreuse... Bouillon trop épicé selon mes préférences, pas d'équilibre de saveurs en bouche... Un ramen de qualité, juste dommage pour le bouillon, mais il s'agit là de mon choix que j'assume complètement vu que la carte signalait clairement l'assaisonnement très fort. Je repasserai volontiers et commanderai leur nouveau ramen avec le bouillon curry-coco qui avait l'air bien gourmand. Des prix quand même un peu plus doux qu'en Suisse, du coup on ne regrette pas les 10% demandés pour le service. Cela dit en passant, un service efficace en période d'affluence, idem pour le plaçage à la table avec une file d'attente de 15 personnes j'a attendu 5 environ , merci.

Terrible waiting time, almost waited for 90 minutes for a prawn tempura roll!! It is terrible. Wasted my weekend on waiting a tempura roll. And the tempura roll is not good, the tempura is cold, the rice is loose, I don't know what I am waiting for. Terrible experience, never visit again.

Warm reception and service. Food was excellent. Only downside was the arrival of the mains shortly after finishing our starter despite asking for time in between. Would definitely return here if in the area

I give two stars for the service because I accidentally dropped a piece of my food on the floor and they refused to replace even I offered to pay extra. Luckily it was one piece and not all. 🧐

A terrible place where the staff let you access the smoking terrace and order a drink and then explain you in an unpleasant way that you can’t smoke your own cigar… if you do it you have to be charged for your own cigar…. Never seen that in the world ….

Went here in May 2024 with my boyfriend for our anniversary and wow. It was absolutely amazing. The interior was so cool, staff were extremely friendly and helped with recommending things for us, and the food and drinks were UNREAL. My favorite was the dragon roll, it was the best I’ve ever had in my life and I can’t stop thinking about it. Every single food and drink we ordered just blew me away and I can’t wait to come back here. Staff, food, vibes 100/10

Tried again, as we love Asian food, cocktails were so slow, but assume because of orders and lack of bar staff. Food was ok, although my noodles wasn’t warm, let alone hot. The menu is very very small, we feel the other restaurant on west street offers more choice, Rhangtang.

Ozen is mine and my partner's favourite place to eat! The staff are lovely, the food is incredible and the restaurant itself is stunning and cosy. Would advise anybody to come and try the food here!

Really friendly service at family run restaurant. Sushi and tempura was really authentic and tasted very fresh. I would suggest asking for good recommendations as they have lots of specials on the menu. Overall a great experience and certainly would go again.

Standards are dropping sadly. When we first started coming it was beautiful, the sushi was served on dry ice and a stunning board, all tiered and presentation was 10/10. Last time their sushi came with roses as decoration then last night it was just sushi on a plate, really boring. Still tasty but we used to come cos it was something special but last night it was just average sushi to be honest. I know they do weekend offers now but we never go for these so we paid full price each time we have been but it really has taken the shine off it for us sadly.
