K Kitchen in Windsor and Maidenhead

I give two stars for the service because I accidentally dropped a piece of my food on the floor and they refused to replace even I offered to pay extra. Luckily it was one piece and not all. 🧐

The food was wonderful and my server (chelsey) was very helpful and attentive as i've never had korean food prior to this. Will definitely be coming back!

The owner changed, so there is no pork, and when I looked for soju, they don't sell alcohol at all... If it's like this, it's not a Korean restaurant category, but they still use the same restaurant name... Don't be fooled~

Had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant on Friday. I was informed that they have changed owners and it definitely showed. The menu had been amended, which meant that they no longer served pork and chicken was its replacement for the bbq set. The heat was not set high enough, which meant we were cooking a chicken for 20 minutes until it was very dry. They also liked to add additional charges after the order was taken. When trying to convey your dissatisfaction, the servers felt it necessary to argue with you. Most certainly will not return again.

Always keen to try out Korean BBQ restaurants when visiting new places. Came across K Kitchen on a brief overnight visit to Windsor over the bank holiday. Food was ok although not up there with some of our favorite Korean restaurants. We had the BBQ set priced at £31+ which we felt was a little on the higher side for a piece of beef, a butterflied chicken thigh and a small cut of lamb shoulder especially having to pay extra for the accompaniments (lettuce was £3.50 a portion for example). Had a few other dishes such as the Korean spicy pork and rice, etc which were all fine. My wife had the Galbitang which she really enjoyed and she said had great flavour. No real atmosphere in the restaurant as they had no music. Also expecting to enjoy a few glasses of Soju and a bottle of wine... bizarrely they had no alcohol on the menu (possibly due to licensing?) The service was average, fairly young team of staff who were not the most attentive. Took around 45 minutes to get the food out to us which we thought was a little on the slow side but they looked a bit busy with takeaway orders as well as a few other tables. Not a bad meal but wouldn't rush back

*Decent service but the BBQ was not actually Korean* Service - The service was good and welcoming but this is NOT an authentic Korean BBQ restaurant. No Alcohol and Pork - We were informed that the owner is Muslim and hence there is no alcohol and pork on the menu. Whilst this was a bit of a bummer, it wasn't a big issue as we were predominately there for Korean BBQ. Food - We shared Japchae as a starter which was ok, but perhaps a bit too oily. The surprise came when the meat arrived, as both the beef and chicken came without any marinade whatsoever. Instead, it was purely seasoned with salt and pepper. Although the quality of the meat was decent, it defeats the point of going to a KBBQ restaurant if they are not prepared in a Korean way. The Kimchi was average but did not taste like it was freshly made. The Egg Fried Rice was also average, and basically tasted like what you would get from a standard Chinese takeaway. Both desserts were disappointing, with white bits in the Green Tea ice cream (not sure what they were, it looked like mould but cannot confirm), and the Tempura Ice Cream somehow tasted like it had not actually been deep fried.

Friendly staff with tasty dishes! Hope I can get my food much faster than today, maybe they're in a rush to cook. You can take leftovers, it's very nice to enjoy at home. Def visit next time with Windsor Castle trip😊

The food is ok, but the service is really rude. The menu is incorrect but the waiter said we should notice that by ourselves. They canceled the soup in the end but the attitude is very disrespectful and disappointing.

Why would you take over a great authentic Korean restaurant and then remove loads of dishes that people love? Never coming here again. What a waste.

Very disappointed with the service and food. The green tea was just warm water with a tea bag, the mixed meats came unseasoned. The japchae was overwatered and didn’t have much flavor. We had to flag the staff down to order food or get any help when the restaurant was almost empty. They didn’t even give us plates to eat our food with. The serving sizes for kimchi and veggie sides were small. Staff didn’t know how to set the heated tables, flames were so high we had to lower it down ourselves. Staff were not knowledgeable about the menu and it almost seemed like everyone was brand new and it was their first day on the job. Way over priced for the quality and amount of food you get. Stay away if you want good Korean food. You will only be disappointed.

We ordered Korean bbq set and kimchi jjigae. Make sure you check whether meat is included in the soup before you eat(if you order soup dishes). We have to complain again to add meat in the soup although meat is clearly labeled in the menu and no meat at all in the soup. We ordered additional one bowl of rice and they forgot and we had to ask again. You need to order if you want even lettuce for your bbq set.in London ,some of the bbq shops give free lettuce. Although the service was friendly.,we had to ask again and again,which is disappointing In the end, we paid for ribeye steak set although we ordered bbq set with beef from the menu. Thereful,make sure you double-check the recipe before you paid. It is the only one Korean DIY bbq shop around Windsor and slough ,thereful,no choice for us.hope there are more DIY bbq shops opened in Windsor or slough area. And around dinner time ,it is better to book in advance since almost all tables are pre-booked.

Bad service! Soup is sour than drinking vinegar!!!!

Ate there last night. Service was friendly but nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Food was just okay nothing special not sure why there are so many positive reviews on the food here maybe people aren’t familiar with how Korean BBQ is supposed to taste?

We 11 people went there to have dinner tonight but the waiter (Bearded man) had unapproachable manner ,unprofessional behaviour ,hilariously nasty facial expressions & body language with customers . He was the first employee we met there & only because of him we left the restaurant immediately.

I just want to say — the new management is fantastic! I’ve never left a Google review before, but K Kitchen really impressed me and my family, and they absolutely deserve the praise. We visited as a group of 4 and ordered Bibimbap, Katsu Curry, and a few other dishes — everything was packed with flavor, and the meat tasted so fresh and tender. You can really tell they care about quality and presentation. Even the side dishes were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Service was unbelievably quick — we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes, and our food came out hot and beautifully plated. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. You instantly feel at ease when you walk in. The atmosphere is lovely too — clean, modern, and cozy, with a calm vibe that’s perfect for a relaxed meal out. Another huge plus is the accessibility: my sister has a disability, and we were so happy to see they have proper facilities in place. It’s not something every restaurant considers, but K Kitchen clearly does. The prices are more than fair for the quality and portion sizes — great value all around. It’s so nice to find hidden gems like this in Windsor. There aren’t many places around that offer both amazing food and genuinely warm service, but K Kitchen is definitely one of them. We’ll definitely be back again soon — and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends and family!

This used to be a great place to eat. Unfortunately due to a change of management they don't serve pork dishes which are central to korean cuisine, (nor do they serve alcohol anymore). This is really disappointing, and rather odd...especially since islam does not forbid the preparation of pork dishes - only their consumption by muslims ! (I personally know a number of muslim cooks who happily serve pork dishes to non muslim customers). So sorry to say I won't be coming again,

Used to be a great Korean restaurant. Food is still ok but now they don’t serve pork, a Korean staple, anymore. A bizarre decision to run a Korean restaurant and refuse to serve one of the key ingredients. No more Samgyeopsal, no Budae Jiggae, no Jaeyuk Bokkeum, Kimchi Jiggae now has beef instead of pork….Huge holes in the menu. A big part of Korean dining is also the alcohol served with it which they also now refuse to serve. A real shame to have ruined a great, authentic Korean restaurant in this way.

Had the Chicken Teriyaki Bento here and it was delicious! The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sides were fresh and tasty. Great portion and presentation. Will definitely be back!

Terribke experience there. Had to wait for nearly 1hr. Only 3 tables in restaurant. We ordered kimchi jigae with diced beef but they gace us kimchi jigae without any meat. And they changed for us. The squid tempura is also very fishy and taste is so blend. Will never go there again.

Absolutely loved my experience at K Kitchen! from the moment i walked in, the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Service was quick and the staff made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. My favourite was definitely the BBQ set, it was very flavourful and so fun to cook at the table. The side dishes were fresh and complemented the bbq, especially the kimchi and dipping sauces. I’ll definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend to my friends!

Loved coming to K Kitchen and have been coming back to enjoy the food many times but due to new ownership they got rid of some pretty great food and no longer serve Soju as they no longer serve alcohol, imagine ruining such a great restaurant...

We’ve been here several times already. The lunch set is a great deal and truly delicious, and it even comes with soup. After eating, we can stroll around Windsor town🚶 an excellent choice overall.

This is the best restaurant I have been too in a long time. Wow from the brilliant service, to the amazing food . It was my daughters birthday and they served a beautiful dessert with a candle and sung happy birthday it was such a lovely touch . I cannot recommend this place enough everyone should come and experience the food . I will definitely be going back .

I absolutely love this restaurant! They do Korean BBQ right, with friendly staff and food that leaves you craving more. At first, the location might seem a bit sketchy, tucked away down a small alley, but I’ve often found that the best spots are hidden gems, just like this one. I started with the chicken dumplings, which were some of the best I’ve ever had. Then, I moved on to the BBQ set with pork and beef. Though I initially thought it might be too much for one person as it was a sharer, I easily finished it! Surprisingly, the highlight of the night was something unexpected: the discovery of fermented soybean sauce ... it was absolutely delicious! There were no downsides to my visit at K Kitchen, and I’d definitely return if I’m ever in the area again.

Wow! What a hidden gem off the main high street in Windsor! This place is absolutely fantastic. Service was attentive and helpful (mainly as I could pronounce half the menu whilst ordering), the menu had lots of great options for all, and the food was delicious! Loved the fact we could cook our food in front of us, staff were helpful in getting it all set up, and it all tasted delicious! Will be back very soon to try more!!!

Good value for Bibimbap and grilled meat. But the BBQ set is a bit pricey and does not include lettuce, Kimchi, etc for you to wrap the meat. You need to order separately. I wish the restaurant owner could change this. The food is delicious, definitely worth visiting this restaurant when you go to Windsor Castle or Legoland.

Great family experience. We had the bbq set with rice and lettuce sides alongside the tempura prawns and Japchae. Food was delicious, nice atmosphere, welcoming staff and we had great fun cooking. Would recommend.

We found this restaurant in a small alley set back from the main road, through the town centre. It was a very special find, as I am an avid watcher of korean dramas. We had the bento box which is served at lunchtime and the food was delicious and authentic. It included a starter, main and sides and was very filling, so I would recommend having a very light breakfast. The restaurant was clean, air conditioned and the staff were very polite and pleasant. I couldn’t fault the experience. It was five star and I will definitely be going again.

I thought it would be difficult to eat Korean food when coming from a foreign country, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was great and the waitress was Korean, so we could communicate well and the food was very delicious.

Oh my gosh you must visit this restaurant. This was suggested to me, my mom and sister by a local as we were in Windsor for a weekend. It was incredible! The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We debated going back again the next day it was that good. We were tired and very hungry so we didn’t go for the bbq as we didn’t want to cook for our selves however it looked and smelled amazing from what we saw but what we did have was spectacular! I wish I lived closer, we would be regulars.

The food is cooked fresh and has amazing flavours. John’s service was amazing. The food came out quickly. The menu is great. Not too many choices and what we ordered was very well cooked. The volcano hot boneless chicken was volcano hot and a pleasant surprise that someone understands heat. Delicious! Amazing Korean food and well worth visiting.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. I had lunch, here, on a Thursday afternoon on my own. The galbitang (ox tail soup with glass noodles) was absolutely spot on for the cold weather outside. The barley tea was also very satisfying. Despite going in only 30min before their lunch-service-closing-time, the waitress was very friendly and the food came out quickly. I didn’t feel rushed, at all. It’s an unassuming restaurant in an alley, but it might just be the best alley you’ll walk down to find the most satisfying meal. Highly recommended. If I’m ever back in Windsor, I’d definitely make this a stop, every time. Enjoy.

I had the pleasure of dining at k kitchen recently, and I can’t stop raving about the incredible food! The dish we tried was an absolute delight. The flavors were exquisite, and each bite was a testament to the chef’s talent and dedication to quality. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every mouthful, and the presentation was simply outstanding. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make our dining experience memorable. 3.5 stars for food, service and atmosphere were great though

If you know your Korean food well, this is not it. It’s catered more for people who has got a certain taste. Mild, a little bland and a LOT of black pepper in literally everything. The servers were fantastic though. Unfortunately, cannot recommend this place. It’s not tasty/authentic Korean.

Delicious food, the service was good and the staff friendly. The restaurant was quite when we first arrived but soon filled up, the restaurant and toilets were spotlessly clean. I would go back and would recommend.

This was our first time trying Korean food. It was very busy, but service was quick. The service and atmosphere was excellent. The food was hot, my wife throughly enjoyed the food however I wasn’t keen, everything was lovely and big portions just wasn’t for me.

We ate at the K Kitchen yesterday evening after being recommended by a Korean friend. We were going onto the theatre, & running rather late, so we asked if we could eat quickly. The meal was served promptly with a smile & was really delicious. We will be back & hopefully next time we'll have more time to select a larger variety of dishes.

Me and my husband went for a lunch date today. It was our first time trying Korean cuisine and we actually loved it. Service was great. Special mention was the Tangsuyuk,it was wonderful. Overall food was great, would love to be back more often.

We thought the food to be pretty good. It came in a timely manner and tasted good, but not exceptional. The service was fine - but not good enough to pay twice for! CHECK YOUR BILL here. "Service charge" is the tip - typically ten percent. If you don't want to leave a tip, you don't have to pay it. Certainly there is no need to leave any extra tip. It is a piece of sharp practice found in many restaurants in the UK, particularly in spots popular with tourists.

Unexpected and very welcome. It’s a little bit hard to find, down a little walking path off the street, but well worth the look. Not the large variety of cuts that you might find at a bigger KBBQ, but the quality was really good, and the ventilation is great - super comfortable grilling. The lighting and decor of the place is also very calming, relaxing. An easy recommendation if you’re in the area and like Korean barbecue.

La cuisine est sans saveur, les aliments de qualité moyenne (calamars tellement durs à manger 😔) et les sauces que je ne qualifierai pas pour être modéré. Fritures avec arrière goût ... Le service inexistant (ambiance morose + manquait 2 couverts à table, avec demande nous avons eu juste 2 fourchettes). Allez aux toilettes pour couronner le tout😰 Bref, à éviter !

Goed gegeten. Maar wat een geldwolven. Ik vroeg een beetje extra botersla en voor een aantal blaadjes werd £3,50!!! Gerekend. Ook werd de hoeveelheid fooi niet aan mij overgelaten maar werd er gewoon 10% op de rekening gezet. Schaamteloos.

We went here last May. It has a great atmosphere and lots of food selections. Tasted like authentic korean. We ordered, kimchi fried rice, pork samgyupsal, miso soup and some side dishes.

BBQ food selection is not enough Only pork belly and steak only

I ordered a spicy pork with egg fried rice and Beef Dolsot Bibimbap. The problem comes from the sauce. They don't use authentic one, moreover, the egg fried rice (6£) was served without spring onion (they mentioned egg with spring onion, but it was egg and black pepper).

The food is great. Quite authentic. Bibimbap could use some more veggies and the bulgogi was really nice. I love that they have plenty of Soju flavours. Front of house service is slow and not very attentive. Forgot quite a lot of the side orders and had to be reminded. They are friendly though. Food service is fast. The restaurant could use a touch up and brightening up. Overall its a good choice

This place gives you a great experience! The food is great and on top of that, you get to taste both Korean as well as Japanese cuisine! What a delight! They offer barbecue at a good price as well and the portions are more than adequate to fill you up! Keep an eye out for them just through a small alley in Peascod street!

I have had many experiences traveling to Korea on business during the 70’s and 80’s and the delicious food served at K Kitchen brought back fond memories

I've eaten here a loooooooooot of times and every time I come the experience is perfect, the food is amazing. It's a pity that there is no bibim naengmyeon on the menu, I really want to eat cold noodles and I have to go to London every time I eat them, I wish the restaurant would have naengmyeon on offer🥺

Place closed 40 minutes early on Saturday Drove 40 minutes just to be told they are closed. What’s the point telling people you close at 10

We visited this restaurant on 5.3.23… not our first visit I hasten to add…… The food as usual was fabulous, but there were three young members of staff serving. One of which was fabulous- a young girl we have seen before-very attentive and a credit to the business, I think she was the supervisor and her name was Lorie……. The other two were more interested in each other than serving and looking after customers. Such a shame- they let her and K-Kitchen down on this occasion

Yummy Korean restaurant hidden away in central Windsor. Food is amazing and very authentic. I highly recommend the fish and rice cake appetizer!

A great find with interactive cooking and reasonable prices in the middle of Windsor. Friendly and helpful staff and lovely food.

Locate in a slightly hidden alley way so try not to miss the entrance. A cosy little restaurant, sit comfortably with small parties, especially 2-4 people. The food was decent, menu offers a limited choice of bbq, meat quality was acceptable. Price is reasonable. Both service staff seemed to be lacking hospitality training, a smile goes a long way. Toilet needs a bit of attention, run out of toilet papers and need a bit of clean. We didn't order much kitchen prep food, looking at other reviews and photos now, maybe we should have gave the BBQ a miss and go for the cook food instead. I give 3 star based on our experience this time. Will come again next time and try the cook food, hope other areas will have some improvement by then so can award more stars. Keep up the good work.

1.26일 영국에 도착해서 첫끼를 여기서 먹었고, 1.29일 옥스포드로 이동하기 전에 또 방문해서 점심을 먹었습니다. 첫날은 한국에서 아침 먹고, 점심은 기내식을 먹고, 저녁을 한국식당에서 먹었는데 여기가 한국인지 영국인지 모를 정도로 음식이 맛있었습니다. 오늘도 윈저성을 방문하고 힘들고 지쳤을 때 또 맛있는 점심을 먹고 힘을 낼 수 있었습니다. 몇 년 후 영국을 오게 된다면 꼭 다시 방문하고 싶습니다. 음식이 정말 맛있었고 사장님과 서빙하는 외국인 친구들도 정말 친절했습니다.
