The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scotland

We enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, taking orders and delivering food and drinks in a timely manner. We shared a pizza, veggie lasagne and a mushroom starter - all of which were excellent. The atmosphere was vibrant and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Had been here a few times in the past but not for a good few years, we had always enjoyed the food in the past but standards have slipped badly. I had the Parfait di pollo to start and it was the worst pate I have ever had, could not even finish it as it was so ba, I then had the Hawaiian pizza which which had an unusual taste and was nothing special, my wife said her meal was okay but bland. The floor and our table were covered in crumbs and we were there at evening opening time so that must have been left since lunchtime, disgusting! The service was nothing very special either and was if they couldn't be bothered. Also quite expensive making it a worse experience so we won't be back as there are plenty of other proper delicious Italian restaurants to go to.

Very very dissappnted with my last visit. Arrived on a Sunday evening, not very busy but has been earlier . Food mediocre and staff not interested , they were too busy chatting among themselves to come and ask if things were OK or if we need more wine I had to attract their attention. Would cert7 not recommended nor return and I have used it many times in the past .

Great. Attentive staff with a friendly attitude and quick service. The food was well priced and good quality with a decent array of drinks both soft and alcoholic. Euan, our server was a great help and explained the menu well. Wasn't detered by the large group and went above and beyond to provide great service.

I had a delivery from pane e vino and I got my sea food spaghetti as usual. I was so disappointed first they got my address wrong so it was freezing. Then they charged for the tiny tub of parmasan cheese. The spaghetti only had 2 muscles and 3 prawns in it. Not the usual quality. It cost for all the meal £36.10 a total waste of money.

I have to say, this has been a horrible experience at Spuntini. There was 7 of us, rammed into a corner table, everyone’s food was absolutely honking of garlic, the cutlery was sticky and dirty and the wine and Prosecco was warm. Cheeky waiter. Will not be going back. Very disappointing. As we were a group of 7 we were only allowed the festive menu and we’re refused the al a carte because we were 7!!! This used to be great, but not now ☹️

Deliciosa comida. Sencillo, sabroso y bien merece una visita. Gran servicio. Las porciones estaban bien dimensionadas y se fueron sintiéndose muy satisfechos.

Dined before we went bowling as a family, the kids loved their food and even more so the chocolate brownie dessert, a big thumbs up from all of us!

What a shop ! We could have spent the whole day here, had a cuppa and a strawberry tart omg ! The best tart I have ever tasted 10 out of 10

What a gem. One of the best pizzas I’ve had served straight from a wood fired stone pizza oven. Service was excellent. Pricing very reasonable. Situated in the beautiful parkland down by the river a short walk out of the town centre. Will definitely be back.

I love this wee authentic Italian cafe, great for grabbing a bite to eat and coffee and watching the world go by. Nice coffees, fantastic bakery food and the meals are tasty and proper homemade with fresh incredients.

Amazing value- special offer pre 7 pm for delicious pizzas at £7. This was nearly half price for asome. Probably the tastiest and crispest Pizza base I've ever had.

Visited as three couples on a wet Saturday evening. It was busy when we arrived early but welcome was efficient and friendly. We ordered a couple of drinks while waiting for others to arrive. Though the place was very busy we were not rushed to place our orders, which was nice , giving us time to catch up with each other. Extensive menu with many typical Italian dishes and a few less common options. Prices normal for a good restaurant and will happily return in the future

1000/10 standard. Amazing quality of ice cream!!! Love it, love it, love jt. If you’re visiting North Berwick, you must pop in. So busy with queues (no wonder) but buzzing place. So many options, staff are very helpful and patient despite the mad rush behind us. Thankyou!!
