La Vita Spuntini in Glasgow City

We actually wanted a delivery- restaurant sorted the problem quickly and very fairly. Food was still hot and the usual excellent quality. We are even bigger fans now 🙂

Food wasn’t to the usual standards we are used to from here. The hot chilli gamberetti was inedible, the sauce was so overpowered with lemon and the bread was rock solid and chewy. The arrancini was soggy and didn’t have much flavour. Pasta dishes were ok but not as nice as we’ve had previously. Feel like I’ve just totally wasted £45, very disappointing.

The pizza was little more than flavoured bread with virtually no sauce or cheese with a burnt base and the fries were solid and inedible. This is unfortunate as I frequently order from here and have had no issues before but this was an expensive meal that went in the bin.

Delightful driver , fabulous food

Absolutely shocking. Every bit of food stone cold and inedible. Called the resteraunt and the guy was more concerned with getting his food back rather than bothering to deal with my complaint. Will not return and will be getting a refund. Shambles.

I ordered Penne Arrabiatta is a vegetarian dish it had a sharp taste of meat to it. I don't know how but it did have the smell and taste of meat taste. I think it was cooked in the same utensil as chicken or something. Totally spoiler for dinner.

Our pizza was cold and soggy. The Mozzarella frittata was hard and not stringy. Most of the food was cold apart from the pasta it had a little heat still within it. The Mia Casa pasta taste was yummy and the chicken wings also tasted great.

A proper italian restaurant. Food and service how it should be. The manager is the life and soul of the restaurant. Also our young lady server was amazing. The food was delicious. The surf and turf was the highlight. The mussels, pasta and pizza also top notch. Tastiest pizza dough in town. Saw a few negatives reviews over Xmas period and I’m glad i ignored them. Try this place it’s really authentic Italian 🇮🇹 Not cheap but would definitely return

We waited over an hour for our food and when it came it was cold. We had to send the food back to be heated, they forgot some tapas we had ordered aswell. The tables behind us who came in after us received there dinner before us. Spoke to the manager as it became 1hour and 10mins before getting our dinner again. The manager offered free deserts as an apology we said no and when leaving they gave the kids a free desert. Wasn't the best service we have had.

Food delicious with so much to choose from. Had the pepper bruschetta and then the Sorento Spaghetti, loved it and decent sized portions as well! Staff lovely and helpful too. Will definitely be back! :)

Popped in ad hoc on my own. Given a nice table, great service. And the tiramisu, especially, was gorgeous.

Order showed as delivered on the JustEat app. When I called the restaurant, it was confirmed the food was ready & I was the next delivery, but it hadn't even left their premises due to the driver being delayed. Food then took a further 45mins to arrive, even though I live a 10min drive away. Needless to say, it arrived cold and with an item missing. Total time from order placement to receiving order was 2 hours 15 mins.

Lively atmosphere and huge menu

I know it’s busy Boxing Day but I have waited two and a half hours and my pizza is not here. I have my 84yr old mum waiting on her dinner. Ridiculous

I spoke with the restaurant 3 times and each time I was told my order was just ready to and was priority

A lovely little Italian restaurant with fantastic staff and a great atmosphere on the evening we went (October '22) we didn't book and they fit us in. Food was amazing. 5 star all round.

The food was lovely and we had attentive service for what was a busy night before Christmas on Friday night 22nd December. My issue however lies with what I witnessed as to the treatment of staff- two lovely young male waiters upstairs, obviously new and learning the ropes, seemed to be spoken very rudely to by whom I assume was a manager or team lead- gestured to and told roughly to get moving with the tables. I didn't like hearing that tone taken with staff who were obviously working hard. I understand it was a busy night but I also felt the tables were crammed into the space together abit. Please respect and appreciate your wait staff!

First of all I have to say it is a nice place to go and enjoy the atmosphere. Secondary, the food taste lovely but overwhelmed on fat containings. At last the reason they get one stars on service is because the nice lady took our order was very welcoming. However, the other two staffs ignored our enquiries are the issue. Thanks to the manager who decided to issue "one" free dessert between the two of us after forgetting our main course after 40 mins, that's the only reason I'd give them any rating. At last we got the dish on the table quick enough for us to pack them up for our next revenue.

Delivery driver didn’t speak much, far too much pesto on the Pennette Formaggio e Basilico Also the lasagne had tip to all one side of the tub. Never usually have problems with here but was disappointed this time

Perhaps one of the finest pastas I've had in Glasgow. Definitely try the Penne Davido - out of this world.

Dreadful. Absolutely dreadful. It’s been 2 hours 40 mins and the food had just been delivered. This is the worst food experience and I will never use La Vita Spuntini again. I’ve tried calling them several times and there’s no answer. I tried calling another branch and they said they could not contact the restaurant.

The 3 dish deal is crazy amazing. The garlic bread is delicious and the small lasagne was amazing. I wish I had time to go back and try the other dishes. Service was lovely and it was nice and cozy with beautiful mood lighting.

It's a 1st for me,not impressed with the food,too spicy, sickly and too sweet. I've been to this restaurant before and enjoyed it but this meal this time was terrible.

Came here for the Tiramisu, it's one of my go-tos in an Italian restaurant. It was unpleasantly bitter for my taste - like burnt coffee. Didn't like the portion in comparison to the price either. A terrible aftertaste as well that lingers.

The food was better than than the hospitality. We had booked a table and, on arrival, were seated directly in front of the main entrance. It was a wet and windy day with the door being constantly opened so I asked 2 different members of staff if we could move. Nothing was done about this, with the staff members saying they would check and that another empty table was reserved. We were in the restaurant for 1 1/2 hrs with numerous empty table available and no change suggested. I asked if we could move to a particular table and a staff member wandered off then seated a walk in there. There was no lack of staff but a definite lack of staff interest in the customers. Chocolate cake more reminiscent of a bathroom sponge than a sponge cake. Pasta quality was good but I won’t be returning.

We had an amazing time there. Lovely food and amazing staff. Shoutout to Luca who treated us really well!

Took 2.5 hours to arrive. When it did arrive the pizza was cold. When I told the driver this he said (and I quote) “not my problem, talk to the restaurant” before walking away. Just-eat customer service have since ignored my requests for help. Shame, as it’s normally a great pizza let down by poor delivery at just-eat.

Always a great experience, we visited today for a late lunch with friends for my sons 10th birthday and the service was excellent, lovely atmosphere as always. We come to this particular restaurant in Byres road frequently purely because it never fails, we always manage to get a table, the food is fabulous, value for money and great service. Thank you!

We had a lovely evening as a family of 4 celebrating my daughters 12th bday the food was lovely as always and my daughters felt very welcomed. It was made special by my daughter receiving a birthday themed dessert and getting a teddy bear as we left which was a lovely touch from Luca

Food was oily and didn’t taste nice, and garlic bread was wet and limp. Order was late due to them being busy which I understood but they didn’t keep me updated on the app to say it would be late and instead it got marked as delivered when it was still in the restaurant.

A beautiful restaurant with a cherry blossom tree in the middle of it. Went for a business dinner and enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and of course the food. Having just returned from two weeks in Sicily it felt like I was still on holiday with the huge selection the menu had to offer. I'm not a local but would definitely visit again when I'm next in Glasgow.

I did not receive my garlic bread. And the chocolate dough sticks were too hard and crispy. Also when I went to place my order it said estimated time was 35 mins. This then changed to over an hour once I had confirmed and paid for the order.

Took 2 hours and 20 minutes to deliver when it said 40 mins at point of order and had to heat it up. Phoned restaurant and they blamed the traffic. Definitely not impressed this time and won’t order again from them

The food and service was very,very good but having a table upstairs,with my family,I felt the space was somewhat compromised with customers and the very good table staff doing their job. Also,we all felt it was very warm,with the heat rising from the downstairs kitchen. Hence my 3 stars for Atmosphere.

Typical West End pizza ish restaurant. Its got the nice decor but tighty placed tables and chairs. Everything seems a squeeze but the staff are really friendly and efficient. Food wise its fine nice even. Its a wee bit overpriced but but by putting on my West Endy hat probably not. Worth a try thats for sure. Its a solid 3 out of 5. My opinion only. Cheers.

Another great meal at Spuntini's, the food never disappoints you. Service was great and the atmosphere was fab.

Just had the tapas menu for six people, food nice although a little bit cold, can't be easy to have 24 dishes ready and kept warm to serve at the table, will go back but eat from the al a carte menu next time. Lovely place downstairs..Great service.

Driver never delivered to my door, pretended to press buzzer as he didn't want to come up to front door. He was rude and I had to leave my child in the house alone to go collect the food from downstairs. He was rude and I am not happy with the delivery service

I went there for the first time and ordered a pizza. It was passable for my Italian standards, nothing excellent and burnt at the bottom. In the 40 minutes I spent there I heard the (presumably) (Italian) manager yelling at the cleaner in front of all the clients and making a scene, complaining about some dust on a small table at the entrance, and then yelling at an employee at the kitchen complaining that he was not making the pizza correctly. This is enough for me to decide that I will not be going back to this restaurant. If the standard of the employees is not as expected this should be addressed privately, without yelling at them and humiliating them in front of all the clients. Please respect your employees.

I had requested a call on arrival as the doorbell doesn’t work & there are multiple occupants within the building. The delivery did not call on arrival and gave the food to one of the neighbours which I do not know, we never knew the food had arrived and by the time we got it it was absolutely freezing. Paying £46.75 would expect to get the food hot and delivered to me directly.

Disgrace!!!! Stinking attitude from Manager has no idea of customer service!!! Lied straight out to me ! Needs sacked! Food after 1 HR and 45 mins frozen, greasy and inedible went in bin, ruined which should have been a nice evening with my family, want a full refund ASAP and manager retrained in people skills, honestly guys don't order from here!!!! No star review, driver was a sweet guy tho!

Place empty at lunchtime. Servers plenty but busy doing others things. Service slow. Food not specially. Not value for money.

Went for quick lunch with my teenage granddaughter. Special was delicious and staff well informed and efficient.

Food was late and very disappointing

Food took over 2 hours and 25 minutes to get delivered. Initial delivery time was between an hour and 1 hour and 25 minutes and when I called the restaurant I was told the order had left and the driver was stuck in traffic. The deliver time was then extended to 1 hour 35 minutes and it did not turn up until a further 50 minutes after being told it had left and only after my partner drove down to the restaurant personally (as the restaurant took their phone off the hook and we could not contact them). When my partner turned up, the restaurant lied to his face to say the driver was at the door (after calling him), not knowing I was at the delivery address waiting. This is completely unacceptable, not only was the food incredibly late/cold, the fact the restaurant lied repeatedly without any apology is ridiculous. I have made a request for a refund and I trust you make the right decision in granting this.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night with my boyfriend for our anniversary. As soon as we walked in we got a rude vibe from the manager. We had a booking and we were abruptly and rudely told to wait outside by the manager. He then beckoned us back in after a few mins and asked us “how many?” and then “name?” and he led us to our table beside another couple (with about 3 inches between our table and theirs). After a few minutes we realised we could barely hear eachother with the couple beside us chatting, the shouting from the kitchen and the bartenders making drinks right beside us so I asked if we could potentially move to a diff table upstairs where it was a bit quieter. We were then told no this was not possible, despite us noticing 3 tables upstairs that were empty during the entirety of our meal. Drinks were nice, bartender apologised for wait, despite it not being too long. Food was fantastic, we had a pizza and pasta dish both were lovely. Service was okay, staff seemed abrupt and didn’t really chat at all. I felt really sorry for them as we noticed on multiple occasions that the manager was shouting at them, even lightly pushing them around and they all looked miserable. The manager in question would stand beside food ready to go out and shout for an already busy waitress to take it rather than him. Overall, food was very good but I wouldn’t go back. The experience was completely ruined by the rude manager who had no shame shouting at his staff in front of customers and clearly making them uncomfortable. Not only can you tell he is cruel to the staff, he wasn’t welcoming at all and the vibe of the whole place felt very stressful and not at all a relaxing experience

The garlic bread was amazing best I've tasted I love the food from here normally arrives on time so I can handle 1 time bit late that's no issue xx

Food was delicious, highly recommend!

Having walked up and down Byres Road to find a good place to eat, we came across this Italian Restaurant and are so glad we did! Husband chose risotto - the best he'd ever had - and I went for two small dishes: chicken liver pate (beautifully served on oatcakes and utterly delicious) and a 5" pizza which was superb, with lovely sweet cherry tomatoes on top. They have splendid desserts displayed on a circular rotating stand near the entrance and all looked very tempting. Husband opted for tiramisu and I tried some - excellent! I'd have loved to have had room for the lemon meringue pie with the enormous tower of meringue on top. Next time maybe! The menu is huge - so much choice - but they were very patient with us while we tried to decide! All in all, a memorable meal for all the right reasons. Nice, interesting decor, too.

The food at this restaurant is great, with reasonable portions and prices. Delicious dishes we tried: fried calamari, spaghetti frutti di mare, pizzas and a meat dish. Staff deserves a special mention. True to the Glasgow’s motto (“People make Glasgow”), the staff was super helpful and friendly, especially Angus, who not only gave us food recommendations but also some excellent tips on pubs and live music venues. We left feeling we’ve made a new friend.

I usually really like the spaghetti gamberetti Olioe Pepperoncino but the past few times, I've been quite disappointed and this time was particularly bad - there was tough stringy pieces all the way through - I don't know what they were but, very unpleasant. It felt far too oily. It's usually a really light, clean, fresh dish.

A group of 8 of us went along to this restaurant last night. Our table was booked from 6:30pm to 8:15pm. On arrival, we were met with an extremely busy and lively atmosphere. That’s always a great start. Sadly, it was not to be. We were seated upstairs which was good. No water was provided at the table. Not great considering it was a very hot temperature in the room. We didn’t get our first drinks order until 30 minutes later. The starters that we ordered arrived around 45 minutes later with 2 of them not arriving at the same time as the rest. No pepper or parmigiano was offered when they arrived. Our main meals didn’t arrive until 8:05pm giving us only 10 minutes to finish before the table was requested back. The waiter who served our meals got berated in front of us by a very flustered head waiter. Not very professional doing that in front of customers. One can fully appreciate and understand that in a very busy restaurant that things can go wrong with staffing issues. All in all, a very poor customer experience we had.

Arrived. Tables offered were positioned poorly & not comfortable. Strawberry Daiquiri cocktails were not strawberry and were in a word rancid. Food was tasty but so are many other places. Attitude not great - feels as if you are lucky to be at their restaurant. Will not be back to any La Vita restaurant again. Many better places imo. Avoid.

I ordered the seafood risotto. It had a lot seafood inside. Appreciate that. But the mussels was really smelly. I just can throw them away.

Great restaurant. Staff superb, food very tasty and a huge selection. Desserts are a work of art and also delicious. Luca the manager is so professional he certainly knows how to treat his diners. My order was delivered 2 hours late. Although the estimated delivery time appeared as 20:10, it was delivered at 21:00. As it shown as driver was on the way, we couldn't cancel the order.

We rocked up without a booking, it was buzzing but Luca squeezed us in. Staff were super attentive and efficient and OMG the Salsiccia was the best I have had. 👌 Lovely atmosphere too. Thank you so much 🥰

Food turned up 1 and a half late, and cold no heat in the food at all. SHOCKING

Unfortunately, the food was stone cold. Always had a good impression of this this venue and never been wronged, but this was a nightmare. Only fit for the bin so £18.55 wasted (+£3 tip at door). Contacted Just-Eat who messed me about for days only to get a lousy £7 'goodwill' gesture. Just a horrific experience start to finish.

Honestly really thought this place would be amazing but I was so disappointed...Experience here was terrible. I think the atmosphere of the restaurant could be a lot better, I can understand staff are really busy but as customers you can really feel this stress coming off. Secondly the 3 small dishes I got were so squished on the table- the tables would be better if they had more room and the lamb dish did not come with a sharp knife to cut it up. The dished themselves were not great, especially the lamb which was way over done. However the pizza was nice and I would recommend ordering this. For dessert I had the bread and butter pudding, thought this would make up for the dinner, however it was so dry and rubbery, tasted more like chocolate orange and there was no melted chocolate or custard in it as far as I could see and taste, also was hard to cut it and was only given a fork- no spoon for the ice-cream...I really wanted to love this meal but it just wasn't good unfortunately. I would suggested bigger tables, more relaxed atmosphere for comfort of customers, appropriate cutlery and changes to the food especially the lamb and bread and butter pudding.
