The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Starters were nice, main course was made with fresh pasta but the prawn linguine was too sweet for my taste and not a lot of kick. Prawns were cooked beautifully but overall a little disappointing.

Pizzeria Bel Sit is one of our favourite Italian restaurants. We have been many times and the food is just consistently incredible. Service is great with friendly and fun staff. Parking can sometimes be tricky but you will eventually find something. The atmosphere is certainly vibrant and can get very loud when busy. You cannot reserve and if you don’t turn up at opening time the wait for a table can be long (I have waited over a hour on a couple of occasions) however you can have drinks while waiting. Prices are higher than average however for the quality it’s well worth it.

It was our first time visiting, we won’t disappointed and will definitely be returning! Delicious food, very good value, and what can I say about the dessert trolley!!!! I’m not a dessert person, however, I could not resist a portion of home made tiramisu it was just perfect!!

I live barely 300m from this restaurant. Nice place and I've been quite a few times. My one slightly bad experience though, was last week. I ordered a Spaghetti Carbonara to take away and was charged a whopping £17.95 for the privilege. It must be said at this juncture that firstly, the food was very good and secondly, Spag Carbonara was not on the actual menu; However, even though I do appreciate them doing it, it's an easy dish to cook for any decent chef. £17.95 though, is taking the proverbial (especially when I wasn't eating in) and, whilst I paid it, it has changed my mind on taking a friend this coming weekend and for the foreseeable future.

Worst restaurant I have been to in my life disgusting food and service they need to be reported and closed down awfull you get better food out of a bin!!!!!!!

Really bad food, seems they use expired products or frozen ones. Dirty restaurant and bad smell. You get overcharged for no reason, seems this is regular practice from other reviews here.

Friday night arrived at 9. Only one other couple there so should have guessed. Instead of rushing us through ordering, eating and paying they should have said they wanted us out of the door before 10. I had to pay as food was delivered to table and whilst eating a waitress asked if we wanted our food boxed up to take home!!!!! It would have been more acceptable if they weren’t so rude about it all… we were better off getting a take away rather that spending £80 to get rushed through in 45 mins

My wife and I took our 4 kids here (ages 13, 11, 9 & 7) and we loved it! We were made feel welcome from the moment we entered the door. The food arrived exactly as ordered and pretty fast too. We are looking forward to our next visit.

As always staff is super friendly and the food delicious. The atmosphere is great and relaxing - it just makes a perfect place for a family dinner out.

I was in the mood for Mac n Cheese, and I'm not from the area, so I googled it. BigBoy's kitchen came up and had great reviews, so I decided to try it. It was worth the mile and a half walk for the spicy chicken mac n cheese and bbq wings combo. Loads of chicken in the pasta. To be honest, there could have been less, and I would still have been very happy. Best of all, though, was that there was lots of cheese in it, too. 10/10. Bbq wings were plentiful, really well cooked, and absolutely smothered in sticky sauce. 10/10 again. Next time I'm in the area, this will be the first place I visit.

We asked for sliced but they sent the whole pizza.they charged 4£ for 4 tiny pieces of chicken

We were only in St Ives for the one night....found Amore in the afternoon, had a couple of glasses of wine sitting by the water watching the swans. We enjoyed it so much, decided to book a table for the evening. It didn't disappoint, lovely food, friendly staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. I would definately go back.

Went there with my family, we all had the same experience as the food was amazing. The service was also good, attentive and we shared with some moments of laughter. We will definitely visit again.
