Just visited to get some arancini and a couple of paninis to take away. First time trying the place and not even a little bit disappointed. The ragu arancini was gorgeous and I loved the sauce. Both paninis (tuna mayo and parma ham) were thoroughly enjoyed by their recipients, and it was lovely to see them being made fresh in the store to order . Staff behind the counter were very welcoming and lovely. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

Normally great, but today’s ricotta and limon tart was a bit stale. They tried to hide it by heating it up. Shame.

Went to Adriano's for the first time this morning. Why haven't I been before,, definitely going back. ? Delicious. Crossiants Crema and Cappuccino, choice of croissant and other delights. Friendly staff. Breakfast, lunches, drinks, dinner. Delights. From Italy to take and share. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹. Grazie mille.

Coffees were cold and had the wrong milk. Bacon sandwich inedible and my panini had very soggy roasted veggies in that had totally wet the bread. The service was shocking. Never returning.

Really like the location of this Deli. The staff is quite friendly as well. It has some good options for vegetarians- Paninis, Pizzas, Raviolis… Pizzas are made fresh, and can be bought as full or half. I had a half of their Margareta Pizza, and I could tell it was made fresh and was very flavourful.

Superb accidental find in Gosforth. Real Italian coffee,savouries and cake, what more do we need. We also got friendly and helpful service and a desire to visit again. We'll done!

Arrived at 6pm to celebrate my husbands birthday with our family, 6 people.The order was taken promptly by a very pleasant young lady but it started to go down hill rapidly.We had received no food by 7pm, starters hadn't arrived, apparently the order had been input incorrectly showing we wanted everything together, garlic bread instead of foccacia. We were told we wouldn't have to pay for the starters.The mains arrived minus 2 pizzas, by the time they came everyone else had finished their food so we were told we didn't have to pay for these either. The olives were also removed from the table before we had eaten them.Some of my family had to leave, football match, whilst we were still eating.We were also given free limoncello, and apologies.Even though we didn't pay for the starters and pizzas it did spoil my husbands birthday meal.There are lots of other restaurants to choose from in Gosforth so we won't be returning.

I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere. Ordered the following take away food: - 2 rice balls, one with bolognese, one with ham and mozzarella (there was hardly any ham) - one portion of meatballs (barely edible, I assume they were old frozen stock) - one slice of berry cheesecake (the slice was SO small, and it didn't even have much taste to it) - one slice of coffee cake (this, together with the place being clean and staff being polite, are worth 2 starts by themselves). I was charged 26 quid!!! What a rip-off, seriously.

Very disappointing. I was enjoying the meal with my elderly mother until 2 teenage mothers arrived. Restaurant empty so unsure why staff sat them on adjacent table. They were singing loudly to the music in the restaurant.swearing and hurling abuse. Staff managed the situation appallingly allowing it to escalate. The staff were unprofessional in their approach confirming Fortuna's is a front for nothing more than a youth club. My advice would be go to Macdonalds, where staff are more courteous but you still get the atmosphere of a play group.

Over priced not child friendly. £35 for lunch (3 cold panini's and pizza- wouldn't serve small slice of 🍕 for child portion). No tables to sit at inside so we sat outside and it was freezing... disappointed when you pay that much for lunch.

From entering the restaurant we were shown to our table to then be asked to move by another waiter with no explanation or apology given.Food and wine was ordered with no smile or eye contact at all. Food was ok for a lunch special although we did have to ask for Parmesan cheese as this had not been offered.We felt the whole ambiance was very flat with every waiter feeling like they did not want to be there (I do totally understand pressure of waiting staff has been difficult during covid) but a smile please and thank you cost nothing. Will definitely not return or recommend such a shame this was our experience of Adrianos

Booked for 6.45 on Saturday evening for myself, my wife and my sister. There are a lot of young staff walking around in maroon sweatshirts, most of whom look like a smile would crack their faces and they largely ignore people. The food was great, nice choice, my pizza had more topping than the last 4 I've had at a well known pizza restaurant but I really didn't want to have my meal in a night club!!!! I struggled all night to hear what my guests on the other side of the table were saying!!! There was a live DJ - for what effect I really don't know but the volume really spoilt the night and I couldn't wait to leave. Service was quite poor as well and watch the service charge already included in your bill!!Such a shame as its a nice venue, good decor and good food.

Had booked for a family meal have never been for a long time. Very noisy. Poor quality food. Frozen fries. Asked for Well done burger it was pink. Has really gone down hill. Could not even have a conversation so loud. Had to shout to give our order. Not for families more for loud noisy groups. Would not recommend if you are looking for a nice meal

Superb service and very nice food. We popped in with out a reservation and were seated almost immediately by a very nice young man who served us drinks we’d ordered on arrival. He was our waiter all night and was great. We both had pizza and they were gorgeous as was the cheesy garlic bread.

Adrianos fortuna - Terrible service, expensive bland food, inexperienced staff, menu options strange and no kids menu.Starters are between £7-8 including garlic bread which at any other restaurant would be no more than £5. A margarita pizza for my daughter £12 and it was very bland. There were a choice of “tapas” but very limited, when I asked for the kids menu they said tapas was the alternative but only the pizza is really suitable for children.The steak was an awful cut of meat and over cooked. The ribs came swimming in sauce and the salad was too oily.The service was terrible with one drink missed in the first order, water didn’t arrive at all and when ordered a second drink it also didn’t turn up.We had to make a point of needing the table cleared by stacking the plates ourselves as the waiting staff ignored us for half an hour.There were no desserts at all, not even ice cream.All in all very expensive for very average food and terrible service.

Myself, Mother and my 2 x children age 8 and 5 years walked in on spec and asked if there were tables available for lunch. The young lad who took us to a table was pleasant enough. Then we were starting to look at menus when this very grumpy older man with dark hear and glasses appeared and snatched away the wine glasses ( obviously afraid the kids were going to break them, even though they weren’t touching them) my 5 year old daughter was singing a little song just being a happy kid pleased to be out with her Nanna when the same miserable guy reappeared and rudely snatched away the side plates. He came back a third time in which we thought he was going to take orders, my daughter just picked up her cutlery and this awful man shouted that she was going to scratch the table. By this stage we felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome and I said loud enough for the man to hear “come on, we will go somewhere else that are family friendly” he then said directly to me “Miss your child was scratching the table with the knife. She certainly was not, and both of my children have been taken to restaurants since they were babies, so know how to behave in public. I have never been treat in such a rude and disgusting way, this restaurant makes it blatantly obvious that children are not welcome. I agree with previous reviews that it was lovely many years ago, so I don’t know if it has been taken over. I will not return here ever again. We ended up driving to the Beehive restaurant in Earsdon where the staff were great with the kids and the food was delicious. So please avoid Fortuna by Adriano’s, especially if you have kids. There are so many other welcoming places in the area that are more than happy for your custom.

Always a pleasure for the eyes and the tastebuds! Timeless selection of real italian cuisine and lovely staff. A must go place!

I loved coming to Adriano's for delicious coffee. After a long break, I came back and was very disappointed. I didn't like the latte with almond milk. I also ordered flat white with oat milk and it was even worse. I won't be back anymore.

Absolutely fantastic Authentic italian food, which still holds Restaurant quality from the Deli counter. Always happy to tweak or add to their menu for the customer. Rita & the guys serving are great. Will continue to use 2/3 times weekly

Fantastic service, delicious lunch of Sicilian pasta recommended by the lady serving. Also bought a few boxes of delicious treats for my team which went down well. Awesome place !

Overpriced and bad service! 2 paninis (full of Modena vinegar) and 2 coffees £20, served in plastic plates. They forgot about the coffees and when we finished our food, we had to ask for the drinks, so we waited for a while to get the coffees. After that the manager said to us that the don’t offer table service if we order at the cafe and we sit outside terrace, but I asked if we could sitting outside and the waitress said yes! The young waitresses weren’t very friendly and they look inexperienced.

Great food and great service. All the food looked and tasted delicious in the deli. I asked for some freshly baked bread which was no bother for them.

Went to Adriano’s for early meal with friends on Friday. We were given the darkest corner of the restaurant right next to speakers blasting out music being played by in-house DJ close by. Sound was so loud even the waitress had trouble taking our drinks order. Made two requests for sound to be lowered to enable conversation to be heard but for whatever reason this could not be arranged so friends and I left. If you want to have a conversation with friends/family over a meal without shouting (a potential danger during covid given air can be contaminated) then avoid Adriano’s. Place would have scored a negative one.

Great beer coffee garden even inclement weather

I appreciate that with the current covid measures things are challenging for bars and restaurants but the service was appalling.We got some mains with three starters then the remaining mains were served one at a time. Apparently food is served when its cooked so they don't bring the whole check out together. We had only just finished the last main when we were told our allotted 2 hour slot was nearly over and could we hurry up. A few minutes later we were advised that the next booking had arrived so could we vacate the table.The food was really nice but will not be hurrying back.

Great coffee, traditional Sardinian food to eat in/ take out. I love the panini's- Focaccia bread, roasted veg, fontina cheese- delicious!

It was our first time visiting since the front area and courtyard has been converted to a cocktail bar/tapas. From walking past previously I was under the impression all the seating was outside and had booked under that assumption. When we arrived we were however shown to an inside table and, quite simply, it isn't safe...- There was no enquiry whether we were from the same household before we were seated inside- It was almost exclusively single sex couples and groups inside, highly unlikely to be from the same household- A group of 6 middle-aged men sat together and then exited maskless- Tables were so close together people could barely squeeze between them- People freely moving between tables to sit with friends at other tables- People up, dancing, singing and falling over without masks onI've sent all these concerns to Fortuna and they haven't bothered to reply.What's really frustrating is that the high street is full of businesses unable to open or trying to do the right thing.I'd find somewhere else to go...

Basically this place used to be fantastic with great food served by great staff in a lovely place. Eating here was a pleasure. Now it’s changed beyond recognition. Now there’s very loud music from a DJ blaring throughout the place and the menu is nothing like it used to be. Adriano’s is obviously aiming for a new younger crowd who like their music loud and aren’t too fussed about eating. We’ve been regular customers here for years but last night after being seated we had to tell the waiter that the restaurant was no longer one for us. We left. And sad to say we won’t be returning. End of an era.

OK, I know this place has undergone a radical transformation. It’s different from how it used to be. But I don’t think all the criticism on here is entirely fair. I’ve been a regular for many years. If the business had been viable in its previous configuration in these COVID-19 days, then I’m assuming the owners wouldn’t have changed it. Clearly, a new approach was thought to be the way to sustain and reinvigorate the business. I can’t really talk about the Fortuna part of the enterprise, because I haven’t tried it. The deli, though, is a big improvement. I’ll admit there are elements of the restaurant transformation which don’t appeal to me at all. While the refurbishment looks smart, the menu is an experiment that I imagine will have to be re-thought. I have yet to try out a visit during the week, but the Sunday menu lacks pasta and risotto options. Given its reputation as an Italian restaurant, this would seem to be a significant omission. The absence of complimentary bread and olives is also something I wish would be reinstated. It was always a great touch. Oh, and please bring back Lidia’s tiramisu!!! Some criticism has been levelled at the current staff; much of it due to their British, as opposed to Italian/Sardinian, heritage. I can only compliment the staff who have served us, both the familiar faces and the new additions. Special mention for Elise, who is attentive, charming and just happens to not be Italian/Sardinian. The wood-fired pizzas remain the stars of the show. Chef, Fabrizio, is the Prince of Pizza! He cooks the most authentic, best-tasting Neapolitan pizza in Newcastle, as far as I’m concerned, and you get the added entertainment value of watching him cook it. So, while I appreciate Adriano’s is not entirely what it was, I’m happy to stick with it while it adjusts to a new future. Hopefully, management will take on board some of the feedback they’re receiving, so that they can make the necessary tweaks to keep old regulars and new customers alike satisfied.

It’s just not the same now,we loved the sofa area ,that’s all gone ,it doesn’t have that cosy atmosphere now ,the menu was very limited and as a non meat eater the only option for main course was veggie pizza ,I don’t ever order pizza ,but no,other choice ,my starter of soup was Luke warm ,I didn’t bother sending it back as My husband had started on his meal,but I did mention it ,but still got charged .My main came but my husband was waiting for his ,he was having the Sunday roast ,staff were standing around I was eating mine as it would go cold ,hubby sat for at least 5 mins watching me eat my meal ,he was saying it’s ok ,I said ,no it’s not ok the meals should come out together, I eventually had to wave one of them over ,they brought the meal out directly,so it was probably sitting there in the kitchen.having finished our meal we sat for another 10 mins if not longer waiting for someone to take our plates away,one staff member went over to clear the plates from an empty table instead of coming to ours first ,we once again called a member of staff over to ask for our bill we’d had enough by then ,didn’t bother with dessert .The staff were friendly enough just didn’t have much clue ,so unfortunately I don’t think we will be back ,they seem to be attracting a younger audience which is fine ,but it’s not the relaxing place it once was ,we still tipped our server ,she was a lovely young girl ,and times are tough ,so we’re not mean people

Have been to Adrianos several times in the past and had good meals.My wife choose to go here for her birthday this evening and what a terrible way to finish her birthday as the food and service were terrible.5 of us went and 4 meals were very poor, i just wish we had a pizza as my youngest sons was by far the best.3 of us had the steak skewers and apart from the portion being the size of an appetiser the I am not sure if there was actually meat on the fat. This was not fit for my dogs and what meat we did get had no taste. 1 had the prawn skewer which was slightly better than the meat.After we complained we sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to ask if we would like another drink but everyone did their best to avoid coming over so eventually we got someones attention and paid the bill and left.They did reduce the bill for one of the steak skewers but I was not after any discount as it was my wifes birthday and all we wanted was a good quality meal and this was shocking.Have read other reviews and it certainly looks like this place is going down hill and very badly ran. My recommendation is to stay well clear of here until something changes.

They've changed it. It's called Adriano's Fortuna or something like that. The menu is mostly small plates tapas style. The welcome was warm enough. The food was OK but not wow, and some of it not hot and seemed like it may have hung about a bit. The music was a bit loud but probably suits most. The meal was £50 for two of us with a bottle of wine. So it seems cheaper than it used to be but just not brilliant. COVID controls were unimpressive. This place has been a bit of a favourite for decades but I don't suppose we'll go back.

Have to agree with all of the reviews! What I find most disturbing is that the owners are allowing mixed households to sit inside but on separate tables. Not on at all when other businesses are loosing out for putting safety first!

Visited the new look courtyard area for lunch with my husband. None of the staff advised us or checked we had completed the track and trace system. We placed our order for drinks, pizza and fries. We waited about ages for our food despite being told our food was coming in “two minutes”. During this wait the male waiter wrongly brought other people’s food to our table and looked a bit puzzled when we told him it wasn’t our order. The courtyard wasn’t busy and other people were also experiencing a long wait and were asking where their food was. Our food finally arrived after about a 3/4 of wait. The food could only be described as passable. This restaurant really used to be amazing, but sadly this is no longer the case. We certainly won’t be returning again.

If there’s a restaurant in there I’m yet to see it.Booked a table for dinner, got as far as the DJ in the bar, after roughing it past the countless inebriated groupies and swiftly headed to the exit. Sin embargo, mi familia y yo visitamos por primera vez desde que se convirtió en "Adrianos Fortuna" y todos quedamos muy decepcionados. Tomó años para que nos sirvieran, y se perdió algo de comida en nuestro pedido. Nadie vino a comprobar si todo estaba bien y era muy caro para lo que conseguimos. Volvería a tomar algo, pero no volvería a comer

Habiendo crecido en Gosforth y visitado Adriano's con regularidad desde sus inicios, me entristece mucho decir que anoche probablemente será mi última visita.Teníamos una mesa para 4 reservada en el restaurante a las 8 pm. La ocasión fue por el cumpleaños de mi madre el día anterior, ya que desafortunadamente no pudimos asistir esa noche debido al funeral del hermano de mi madre que tuvo lugar el mismo día. Debo decir en este punto que mi mamá y mi papá han visitado Adriano's al menos una vez a la semana durante la última década (mi esposa y yo no tan regularmente como vivimos en Yorkshire) y no es una exageración decir que han gastado miles de libras en el restaurante. Anteriormente, pasamos noches increíbles en el lugar; reservar todo el piso de arriba para el 50 de mi padre para alrededor de 50 invitados y reservar una mesa de 30 para una celebración cuando mi esposa y yo regresamos de vivir en el extranjero, son solo dos que me vienen a la mente. Ha habido muchas más celebraciones familiares / Día de la Madre / Día del Padre, etc.Llegamos unos 10 minutos antes de la hora programada de reserva y nos vimos obligados a pararnos en el callejón que conduce desde High Street hasta el restaurante. Absolutamente sin distanciamiento social, ni diferenciación en cuanto a quién estaba esperando el restaurante y quién esperaba el bar. El bar exterior parecía bastante concurrido (y ruidoso). Aprendimos por alguien que estaba frente a nosotros en la cola que habían sobrevendido las mesas para el bar exterior.Finalmente nos sentamos alrededor de las 8:15, sin menús. Había un código QR en el centro de la mesa, así que supuse que teníamos que hacer el pedido desde un teléfono inteligente. Esto estuvo bien, pero cuando descargué la aplicación, era solo para bebidas y estaba vinculada a la barra exterior. Cuando pregunté esto, fue cuando nos dieron los menús. Al principio, pensé que este era el menú de especialidades, ya que era bastante pequeño; tres platos de pasta y 5 opciones de pizza no es un estilo ideal para un restaurante italiano. Otro punto a destacar es que, si bien podía entender que la música estaba fuerte en el bar exterior, naturalmente asumí que se atenuaría una vez dentro del restaurante. Incorrecto. La música seguía sonando en el interior. Una de las cosas que me encantaba de Adriano's era el ambiente y la atmósfera donde el ruido se componía de gente divirtiéndose.Cuando llegaron los entrantes, la comida era bastante sosa y sin condimentar. Dos de nosotros tuvimos las bolas de masa que estaban bien, no hay nada que destacar. Uno de nuestro grupo tenía la ensalada de venado que se veía y sabía bien y la última persona tenía la focaccia de romero y sal marina, con el problema de que no tenía mucha sal marina o romero. Agregue a eso, también estaba quemado y quebradizo en el medio.Seguramente los platos principales tenían que ser mejores. Si y no. Mi esposa y yo comimos pizza. Estaban deliciosos, así que no tengo quejas de ninguno de nosotros. Sin embargo, mi mamá y mi papá comieron el solomillo. Con un precio de 24 cada uno, la presentación y la calidad del bistec fue absolutamente abismal. Bistec quemado por fuera y como caliente por dentro. Sin guarnición, sin verduras, sin salsa para el bistec y las patatas fritas estaban mal cocidas y congeladas. Cuando paga un precio superior, espera un producto superior. Su bistec de solomillo parecía patético y lo lamentaba por sí mismo. Quizás deberíamos haber dicho algo, pero estábamos a las 9:15 en este punto y, francamente, solo queríamos salir del lugar, y ciertamente no queríamos estar esperando a que nos sirvieran una segunda ración de comida de mala calidad.Otra cosa que solía hacer que Adriano's realmente se destacara era el hecho de que sus camareros eran profesionales; no jóvenes incompetentes camareros que se quedaban mirando sus teléfonos aburridos. Es realmente triste ver que solo queda Pietro y es un crédito para el restaurante. Quizás el nuevo personal más joven podría recibir algunos consejos de él sobre lo que se necesita para ser un gran camarero. Otro punto en el personal, aparte de muchos de ellos corriendo como pollos sin cabeza sin rumbo fijo, es la aparente incompetencia de la gerencia. Tres veces durante nuestra comida, recibimos pedidos a nuestra mesa que no habíamos pedido, desde bebidas hasta papas fritas y langostinos. Cuando llegó el momento de pagar la cuenta, el "gerente" se sintió decepcionado al enterarse de nuestra mala experiencia y, al parecer, quiso volver para hablar con nosotros para discutirlo más a fondo. Aceptó el pago, no regresó e incluso cuando pasamos junto a él para salir del restaurante, no hizo ningún intento de hablar de nuestra experiencia.Durante años, Adriano's tuvo el monopolio de Gosforth High Street porque producía constantemente alimentos de alta calidad en un bello entorno. Solía ser una lucha conseguir una mesa en un fin de semana, pero me temo que no será así por mucho más tiempo. Tenías un gran producto idealmente ubicado en una de las áreas más prósperas del noreste. Estoy seguro de que ahora hay mucha gente que siente lo mismo por Adriano y es una verdadera lástima ver el camino que están tomando ahora. Como dice el viejo refrán, no intente reinventar la rueda. Tengo la sensación de que San Lorenzo se beneficiará enormemente de los cambios que ha realizado.

Fui a cenar en familia anoche y me decepcionó tanto la dirección que el restaurante ha elegido para entrar.Hemos estado en Adriano's de forma intermitente durante más de diez años, pero anoche nos ha impedido volver.Teníamos una mesa reservada para cuatro personas a las 8 en punto. Llegamos un poco antes de las 8 y tuvimos que hacer cola en un túnel / callejón no tan COVID seguro, donde los clientes del área del bar y los clientes del restaurante no estaban separados. La persona que se ocupaba de las reservas de mesa solo se comunicó con el primero de la cola, que estaba esperando una mesa en el bar exterior, y como se había overbooking, terminamos esperando un largo tiempo para que nos hablaran sobre nuestra reserva en la zona del restaurante. Nos sentamos para nuestra reserva de las 8 en punto, finalmente, a las 8. 20. Luego tuvimos que esperar hasta las 8. 45 antes de que pudiéramos captar la atención de una camarera desinteresada para beber y pedir comida (teniendo en cuenta las restricciones impuestas a las 10 de la noche no nos dieron mucho tiempo para tener una comida tranquila).Me decepcionó enormemente el menú nuevo y revisado. La elección de pizzas y pastas era extremadamente limitada (solo 3 platos de pasta). Entiendo que durante los tiempos de COVID los menús tienen que reducirse, sin embargo, el menú hizo poco para inspirarme. Aceitunas para pan, enfriadores de vino. . . recorren un largo camino y solían diferenciar a Adriano's de otros establecimientos a lo largo de la calle principal. - una pausa para pensar. Anoche estuvo llena de jóvenes, pero cuando se afloje el toque de queda de las 10 pm / las medidas de encierro, volverán a la ciudad donde hay más variedad. Visité la última noche de Adriano y todo fue un poco caótico a partir de la cola no tan segura de Covid en el túnel de entrada, abarrotada y la mayoría sin máscaras. Nos llevó al restaurante y nos dejaron parados incómodos en un pequeño pasillo cerca de las mesas durante dos o tres minutos mientras él tenía una discusión con una camarera, asumimos sobre nuestra mesa. Al final nos sentamos y nos dieron nuestros menús.Pedimos una botella de vino y nos la trajeron varios minutos. Era el vino equivocado pero, como la camarera simplemente tiró la hielera con ella sobre la mesa y se fue directamente, tuvimos que esperar hasta que logramos llamar la atención de alguien para cambiarla. Atrás quedaron los soportes para cubos de hielo que solían mantener frío el vino. En cambio, con solo una hielera, el vino no muy frío solo se volvió más cálido mientras esperábamos que llegaran las aceitunas que habíamos ordenado.Después de unos 15/20 minutos sin aceitunas, preguntamos por ellas y aparecieron en uno o dos minutos. (Los amores somos deliciosos).Encontramos el menú bastante pretencioso. Es un menú pequeño y carne, pesada. Ambos pedimos pizza. Como no comía carne, pedí una pizza con calabaza en la base y cubierta con queso de cabra y chile. Sabía bien, pero era pesado y no muy italiano / sardo. Las pizzas en Adriano's siempre fueron muy tradicionales: delgadas, crujientes y ligeras. Ambos pedimos pizza y la masa de ambos estaba tan espesa en algunos lugares (no solo en la corteza) que no estaba completamente cocida.Un caballero encantador (no sé su nombre ni qué puesto ocupaba) vino a tomar nuestros platos y nos preguntó si habíamos disfrutado nuestra comida. Le explicamos que estábamos un poco decepcionados y señalé que el menú era un poco pretencioso y pesado. Reconoció que sí lo era y continuó diciendo que toda la carne era halal y porque si eso, sabía mejor. No soy fanático del halal como método de matanza, ya que, si el animal no es aturdido primero, creo que es bastante cruel. visitamos como familia, mi esposo, mi hija, mi mamá (como parte de nuestra burbuja de apoyo y yo.tanto mi madre como yo comimos rosbif y estaba absolutamente delicioso. . . todavía estamos hablando de lo bueno que era ahora. las verduras eran frescas y muy sabrosas también; los platos no podrían haber estado más limpios.el distanciamiento social era bueno, había un ambiente encantador y la remodelación se ve hermosa; mucho mejor de lo que se ve en las fotos.

Llamé para tomar un trago rápido y obtuve la bienvenida más increíble. Me senté en el área del patio exterior, y qué gran ambiente hay. Personal amable y profesional, servicio rápido y eficiente. Precios muy razonables, aunque no comimos, verificamos el menú y quedé impresionado con lo que se ofrecía, todo a excelentes precios. Aparcamiento en la parte trasera de fácil acceso para todos. Buenas medidas de seguridad implementadas, confiando en las medidas que brindan. Vale la pena una visita, definitivamente volveremos a comer.

Me encantaba este restaurante y su personal es amable y acogedor. Desde la nueva remodelación, se ha convertido en un club nocturno con DJ en vivo que tocan música ridículamente alta. . . totalmente innecesario y de mal gusto. Es una pena que nos encantara ir. Las pizzas siguen siendo de primera clase, pero el bistec no tenía ningún condimento y la ensalada estaba desvestida, realmente pobre. Espero que cambien esto y vuelvan a hacer lo que hacen bien.

Ayer comí aquí con un amigo. Terraza al aire libre de nueva apariencia encantadora con calentadores se siente v mediterráneo. Personal amable, buena comida pero escaso distanciamiento. La mesa de al lado se sentía un poco demasiado cerca. 3 camareras diferentes asistieron a nuestra mesa y también estuvieron muy cerca cada vez. Es comprensible que intente crear un ambiente relajado y esté afuera, pero probablemente necesite un pensamiento adicional para que se sienta seguro. This is a fabulous Italian restaurant hidden away behind the High Street in Gosforth. When you go in you are quickly greeted by staff and shown to your table or a comfortable area for a pre meal drink.The food is excellent. I’ve been here a few times and enjoyed every meal here.The staff are friendly and helpful.

I’m very surprised by the mixed reviews on this site ! Our meal was delicious - all four adults had different dishes - all scrumptious! Staff were really kind and accommodating to our baby granddaughter - high chair, child portions and brought the baby food out as soon as it was ready as requested. Wine was good - sauvignon blanc - and service excellent. Would very strongly recommend!

Great good, recent change in the menu. Amazing Pizzas, Pasta dishes are awesome. Meatballs top of the list! Great wine too! Can be a tad warm sometimes but dress accordingly

We had a lovely night with really tasty food, reasonably priced and very good service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were very pleasant! Had Italian restaurant faith restored thanks to such a great night! Will definitely be returning for another visit or two.

Four of us called here for a meal. Went at 7.00pm on a Friday and the place was fairly empty. However 90 minutes later when we left it was full. Staff friendly and welcoming. We were quickly seated and, in good time, our drinks order was taken. It wasn't too long before our food order was also taken. It was a little difficult to select courses as the menu was quite limited compared to a lot of other Italians I have visited. Because of this the two courses we all selected were a little more expensive. Two of us had one drink, and two had two. The final bill being £113 for the 4 of us, which included a pre-added 10% tip. Whilst the establishment was bright, clean and roomy, I would have preferred a more diverse menu with better option of starters. However, the food we had was fine.

I have been to this restaurant about 4 times in January. I had never been before now and saw advertising for 50% Monday to Thursday throughout January. This obviously is finished now however we will still visit this restaurant due to the high quality of food and service. The lamb even without half price is very well priced at £22. The lamb is cooked to preference I recommend medium rare - this is also the case for the steak. The food is very fresh and cooked to order. They also have a cafe throughout the day which is very cute and the sandwiches are very nice. The pasta is fresh. The staff are really friendly and speak Italian which is good being italian. I would recommend they take the service change of the bill so the tip they would receive would have more of a meaning.

Myself, my husband and our 3 grown up boys have been going here for years and it never disappoints. Our older 2 even had their 18th birthdays in the private dining room. We were their most recently on Friday 31st January and even with a packed restaurant the service and food were all great. Highly recommend!

Having assembled family from all over the country for the first time in a year, we choose Adriano's as the restaurant for our get together. It was that post Christmas period, but everyone was excited and in a great mood. Unfortunately this did not seem to be the case with the waiting staff, or chef. The restaurant was only half full, but despite this after 20 minutes of waiting I had to call a member of staff over to take a drinks order. The service throughout the meal was lacklustre at best and when we asked if the chef could make a pizza at 8.20 pm to take away for my autistic son who was at home, because he can't cope with socialising - he refused. We explained the situation, but it made no difference. This restaurant is not cheap, it was an awful experience, spoilt what should have been a great evening and we will never return.

Lovely restaurant. Staff very attentive. Rib eye steak and chips was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

As always Adriano,s never fails to impress! Our coats taken, as soon as we arrived, and drinks on our table within minutes,olives and a small basket of ciabatta appeared as we sat reading the menu! We love this place, as the ambience is so good, and the service excellent! My mum ordered a seafood risotto, and I, the chicken breast, with king prawns,with a tomato and mascarpone sauce.The chicken was beautifully moist, and also came with the best home made chips ever, the risotto was creamy and al dente, as a good risotto should be. We could not unfortunately find room for dessert, but the selection on the menu is mouth watering! Once again thanks to Adriano,s for making our lunch a special one, cannot wait to return, the friendliness of the staff,and the food, make this place a winning one every time!

Wife birthday,booked table for 6 people at 7pm got there on time.table was ready,restaurant was quite busy.Got a very warm welcome from all the staff.they served us some very good warm bread with exellent quality of olives.Got some aperitives as starter drinks.All just as perfection.Food was incredibly tasty and hot,just how every one woud love it.i was impressed of all the attention from staff and the quality of the meal.I will definately return with the family and raccomand it to all the people i know.well done Adriano's JUST A PERFECT NIGHT OUT

First time visiting this restaurant. It has a romantic atmosphere and the interior/ exterior is very cosy with a home feeling. The staff are very friendly and are italian. The staff take care of the customers and if you have a problem then they will fix it straight away. The wine list and spirit options are very good and a lot of Italian options. The food is fresh and made to order. There are unique dishes to the area of the owners origin. We had a very good and will be going back again.

Hubby and I visited on a Friday night and were given a cosy table in the corner. Food was mostly good; Hubby having a very generous portion of lamb chops. A serrated knife would have been helpful. Accompanying frozen veg was a dusgeace esp sprouts and tough broccoli, yuk.Mine was delicious - chicken and peas with penne. It was a risotto on the menu but they kindly did it with pasta for me. However when I told waiter I have a severe nut allergy, just for info, he barked that there werent any in chicken and peas! Waitress is ok but a bit SHOUTY!!! So based on our visit, I had the service charge removed. But will go again.

We’ve been here the last two years now for our Christmas Night Out/ Meal and once again we were looked after brilliantly. There was 30 of us all eating all from within hospitality and not one person could pick a fault. The upstairs room is ideal for us as it kept us separate from other diners. All the staff were super friendly and really looked after us! Thanks again guys! Even if it is £5.50 for a Morretti it’s still a great restaurant!

Visitamos como una mesa de 20 (reservado por mucho tiempo) para un cumpleaños de amigos. Llegamos a las 8 pm y el personal del bar fue muy amable y el ambiente era encantador! Lovely seafood past, with such a great depth of flavour in the source. It was just the right portion size not to feel too full but in no way scrimped on the variety of seafood included. Cheesecake was pretty good too! great service in a lovely building, thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party.

Stopped off today for pre-theatre meal, hadn’t booked but not busy at all. The waiter found it difficult to retain our order and his ‘machine’ appeared to challenge him. Had to order beer a couple of times before it came! Ok, the rest of the service was slow, the bill was wrong and I’m not a lover of them adding service charge.All that said the Ravioli was extraordinarily, and so tasty and I would recommend it. So if you can see past poor service it’s worth it.

I was visiting family in Gosforth at the weekend. There was a deal available for Pizza, pasta or risotto. The deal also included a drink. All four of us had something different and all 4 meals were lovely. Well presented, well cooked and very tasty. Service was excellent. I'll recomnend this restaurantto anyone.

We had dinner on Saturday night to celebrate my partner’s mother’s birthday. I called up and asked if they could put a candle on a small desert to celebrate her birthday which they said no problem, I also had to ask again after our main courses if they could do this and they said no problem (this has been done many times before), however 30 minutes after asking for the second time, nothing, so I complained, paid the bill and left. The service from start to finish on the night was absolutely terrible. Had to ask to order drinks, mains and never got asked for a coffee or desert. We never got looked after at all. Terrible considering we were celebrating a birthday. I have been to Adriano’s many times but after this visit we will never return until new management or ownership is running this again. Something has changed and extremely disappointing.

We ate here on Saturday September 14th . We were a party of 8. The food was average, to say the least, bland for the pasta and risotto and dry for the fish. One of our party got the wrong starter yet they insisted that's what he'd ordered. Our waiter was far from personable.When the bill came it had a discretionary service charge on for £24 which we immediately deducted from our total, however we miscalculated our bill division and ended up accidently leaving £9 short. The restaurant picked up on this, rightly so, just before the last of our party left and then subsequently charged us £33 - our shortfall and the service charge we weren't prepared to pay. The manner they approached our remaining friends was awful- as if we were deliberately leaving without paying our bill.Needless to say we won't be returning. Anyone else going beware of the service charge trap !

Excellent menu with choice of 5 starters and 5 main course which includes sirloin of beef. Pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. Worth every penny.

I visited with 4 members of my family and arrived 10 minutes before our 7pm booking. We hadn’t realised there was a specials menu but 4 of us decided to go for the 3 courses for £15.95. The fifth member of our party ordered from the main menu. All started well and our starters and main courses arrived in reasonable time with a suitable gap between courses. The food was very pleasant although not remarkable. Half an hour after our plates had been cleared away no one had asked us if anyone would like a desert or any more drinks so we beckoned a waiter who was in the process of setting a table opposite us and asked for a dessert menu. He then took it upon himself to go to a nearby table and top up wine glasses. Our request was obviously not a priority. Eventually desert menus were handed out. We asked the waiter if these menus applied to the specials menu but he didn’t know and went off to ask someone else. Several minutes later a waitress came over to inform us that we could only choose between cheesecake or sticky toffee pudding. When we asked if ice cream was included she said it would be a £1.75 supplement. She then went away and after being ignored for a further 15 minutes or so we decided we had lost the will to eat a dessert and asked for the bill. We were in Adriano’s from 6.50 until 9.30pm for only two courses and whilst it was lovely to chat and not feel rushed we were all left wondering if choosing the specials menu had relegated us to second class citizenship. We didn’t want to spoil a family evening by making a fuss and asking for the 10% tip to be taken off the bill (which you are entitled to do) but would not return to this restaurant.

Popped in with my partner for a cappuccino each and a feta salad to share. (£11.60 I think). Waitress spilled a large amount of my wifes coffee into the saucer and onto the table and as we noticed later into her handbag which being woven straw was stained. Rather than replacing or topping up the coffee she returned with a napkin which she placed and left under the cup to soak up the spillage. We shared the salad with the one fork and I cut my gum on a sharp bit of clear plastic which was in the salad probably from the packaging of the olives or feta. I mentioned the plastic to the waitress as I left in case there was any more in the large bowl of salad still for sale. Only comment "sorry about that". We won't be returning.

Amazing restaurant with great pizza and ice cream. Definitely recommend the ham and mushroom pizza as well as the potato skins.
