Have been coming here on/off for months. The food is really good. There is however, often a long wait for it, partly due to things being cooked to order and possibly because there's only one member of staff taking orders and managing the bar. Fine if there's one or two tables in, but not if it gets busier. Not sure if the staff/client ratio changes later in the evening as always go early.

Shabba saves this place. We’ve been when he’s not in and it is a disaster! We had red wine in champagne glasses, decaf coffee with no coffee…. Mugs of hot milk. Tonight he’s in and it’s fab again. Impeccable customer service and we got what we wanted (even if you’ve taken calabrese off the menu for no explicable reason). Seriously why is there no way to tip an individual or send messages to management about how good a staff member is because I’m not joking. He is why we go back!

Greys QuarterOlivia’s energy make the food, the experience, the vibe worth a million next visit. Thanks Olivia for being so kind and absolutely enjoyed the meal recommendations. It must be tiring, but I can see you’re giving it your all and that definitely made this restaurant my top choice from now on. Hope you enjoy your weekend like you made ours ;) !

40-46 the Side, QuaySide, Newcastle Upon TyneGreat Italian. We went Sunday evening and we had two friendly and attentive staff members. We had bruschetta, potato skins and olives (starter); and pizza, meatballs and arrabiatta and vegetable lasagne. It was all fab and a bottle of Valpolicello Ripasso complemented the food. Highly recommended and not far from Crowne Plaza where we were staying.
