Often eat here. Usually it’s fantastic. Was terrible today. Paid £10 for a chicken Gyros and had about 2 pieces of chicken in it. Had to go straight to Greggs afterwards as I wasn’t even close to being full.

Visiting Newcastle and had this on a whim when our original idea was closed. I was happy the other place was closed after eating here. Was delicious, the kofta was fresh and tasty and I actually like the feta which I usually don’t like. Boss man is lovely too.

The nicest chicken gyros in the whole wide world I stayed in the hotel for 3 days and would come here everyday- what a fabulous place - would come back again and again. Portion was huge as well. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you

Never had Greek food before so didn’t no what to expect but overall really enjoyed it plenty of flavour however next time I will order without onions as it did seem to have quite a bit on but overall really nice food

Is this a joke? The only digestible thing there is bottled beer. Disgustingly salty chicken pieces covered with curry (!!!). The worst fake Greek dishes I have ever tried.

Had a few meals from acropolis such as tynemouth market and other fairs and festivals over the north east as it is reliable and divine. Upholds the greek standard's food is beautiful and compares with newcastle prices. Value and quality and more than enough to eat. Will always go back.

By far the worst store out of all of them. Never enough staff to cope with demand so there's always a painfully long wait. Ask the staff how long and you just get a "2 minutes" automated reply. No interaction, no "sorry were busy". No real time. Just "2 minutes" there's better around for gyros, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Food was amazing and could not be faulted. However, unfortunately the lady serving today may a need a lesson or two in customer service. My colleague and I visited on our lunch break, neither of us were greeted. She was very cold towards us, with a poor attitude. In particular, made my colleague feel stupid for questioning what one of the ingredients in the gyros was. The food was essentially slapped into our hand. This was very poor customer service for such a well established business in the North East!

Ordered take out, they got our order wrong, corrected it straight away, sent extra items as an apology, great service and I got double of the delicious food they do! Win win really. 10/10 guys, all is forgiven!! Haah.

Great quality Gyros wrap and platter, beautiful fresh salad. Loads of flavour in a great little venue! Dare I say it, even better than the mobile truck they have!! 👍

I'm very disappointed with the order I place by Uber eats... The food was send around one hour earlier and arrived cold... Driver said in the restaurant was prepared different food for other customer while my order was ready and he needs to wait for the right order for another customer so this food shouldn't be send to me they should prepare fresh food for me. The portion for £15 for platter and for 2 pieces of halloumi (2 fries) for £3 is really funny. I was eating so many times in greek restaurants and they always giving massive portions of food because in their country this is priority but I cannot feel this here. The fries under the chicken make me really angry, because there is more fries and pita bread than chicken on the plate! Salad have more lettuce than any other vegetables... I will never order again, because is time and money waisting. And to be honest! You cannot reheat the food because is not the same taste.

Friendly staff and a good range of food options. Portions are very generous, the 'large' mixed platter was easily enough for two but we added halloumi bites anyway, because, gluttony. Quick service. Would visit again.

Really nice Greek street food and good staff. Its located in Jesmond area, a lot of young people (students). The price is really good and you have desserts option near in the same area. 100% recommended

First time ordering on UberEats. The chicken souvlaki wrap was filled with chips - a shameful practice - and a little chicken which was very dry. How can you price that at over £10? Tasteless on top. Disappointing overall.

Ordered on Uber eats, driver turned up with the wrong food, I told him that’s not my order and he said he’d go get my order. He left and 20 mins later he put that he’d delivered my order. I called him and he said to sort it with Uber, so I called acropolis to ask if they were sorting it on their end, she told me no but she is “happy for you to place a new order”, thank you for the permission to spend more money on your business but we will pass.

Popped in to grab me lunch. Got a dirty greek and baklava. Had a bit banta and chat about Greece. And food there. 😋

Absolutely amazing as always, but today was even better! I ordered a wrap and tub of sauce because I’m obsessed with their tzatziki sauce! When the delivery came there were 2 packets in there which was confusing as I’d only ordered 1 thing and it turns out that they had so kindly put a free wrap in with just the tzatziki sauce, which of course I ate! Huge portions, amazing chips, the chicken is cooked to perfection and the salad in the wrap wasn’t soggy it was fresh and crunchy. Thank you very much Acropolis I’ll definitely be back soon! 100% rate this place.

The gyros for £9.50 is just way too small. I'd say around 80g of chicken max, just not enough food. For 10 pound I expect enough food to fill me from a takeaway. Tasty but too small

Very good quality and the portions are more than generous. I'm 115kg and I could barely handle mine. Make sure you try the "dirty Greek" dish, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent food. Expect to wait though. Unfortunately it feels like they do prioritise delivery food orders over people in the shop.

Great meal in last night even though we went for take out. Staff saw daughter waiting outside with our dog and said they could come in. Didn't realise it was dog friendly!!!. Service was great, food fantastic - wife and I shared the platter which was superb. Even fave our dog some chicken.

Recently I discovered Greek cuisine in Acropolis Jesmond and was pleasantly suprised. If you want to have a good time with your friends over lunch in a cosy place, Acropolis is one of them. Incredibly delicious Greek cuisine and a charming manager will make your lunch special. Everything was really delicious. Thanks Florjan.

I’ve had such good food from Acropolis before but this was so so disappointing. Paid over £10 for the most basic bagged salad with 4 slimy pieces of halloumi that literally would have cost no more than £2 to make at home. We were the only ones in there and 5 mins after sitting down the girls turned the music up so loud so we couldn’t hear ourselves think so we had to leave. Genuinely will never go back.

Incredible tasting Greek food! Little bit on the pricey side, being £32 odd pound for the food pictured. Lovely tables where we had our food inside. Had pop tunes blasting out, definitely could do with Greek music/softer music.

A friend recommended I try something from here, and it did not disappoint - the chicken gyros wrap is such a unique yet lovely tasting item that no other place really does. Everything is always nicely cooked, and the wraps are filled every time. I usually pick my order up and take it home as eating the wrap like a traditional wrap is extremely difficult... possible, just very messy. That doesn't really concern me as it's worth the mess. Filling and not very calorific I would highly recommend!
