What an absolute amazing place for pizza....

Great pizza from here, only downside is very impractical and limited seating for eating in. If I were them I'd reduce the kitchen area and increase seating for more custom on rainy days

Best chocolate milkshake ever!! It’s got great chocolatey taste and it was just the right amount of milk, not overpowering the chocolate. The staff was friendly and kind too! If you ever need a milkshake, this is the place to go to

Been coming here for years, always greeted with a smile and food served quickly. Space inside is tight, but you can get your pizza to go and just sit across the road by the river... Pizza menu changes occasionally so get in forbyiur favourite whilst you can. Highly recommend the miso caramel ice cream too.

Really good pizza and nice a friendly staff

Hands down the best pizza I have had in England. I spent 13 years in Brooklyn, the pizza game is strong there. Since coming home I have ceased to find a place that I would say with confidence was incredible. When I walked in and saw the pizza on display I knew it would be quality. My first bite of the Frankie’s slice and I’ve fallen in love with pizza again. The dough is perfection, the sauce balanced, the toppings fresh and flavourful. The touch of fresh basil just before handover 👌👌 I can’t wait to try every pie! The staff member on the till was lovely, friendly and knowledgable. The chefs looked focused, can see and taste the passion they put into their food. I cannot rate this place highly enough.

Stopped off on the way back to the Hilton after a long day out in Newcastle with my kids (3 and 7). Lovely and friendly service. Fantastic pizza and the hot wings were great Would definitely recommend!! And will be back

Driver wouldn’t deliver to my door as I’m in a block of flats. I paid nearly £40 for this order and when I placed, I put instructions on for delivery. What was the point! When the food eventually got here it was cold and I am very disappointed because the food sounded so good when I ordered it

Amazing sundae!!! Always pop in for an ice cream when on the quayside. They are open till 10 and always seems to be popular. A small but good selection of mixes. Pizza is also amazing and fresh available by the slice or pizza. 10/10 🍕

The breakfast sandwich is the best you will ever get for value A sandwich and a cup of tea for just 550 and the sandwich is to die for i will be back and you get a badge lol

Very generous size pizza slices. We had the local Geordie one and it was delicious. Even better when the weather is fine and you can sit opposite the shop along the river Tyne, at the public picnic tables.

I've been lucky enough to work, on and off, in Newcastle for the last couple of years. Had pizza from here many times , and never had a bad word to say, always fantastic. This week they have gone nuclear with the 'Back to the chicken stack' special. It is 'To die for '. That's all I can say.

Tasty pizza and a lush bueno ice cream

So after planning a visit here for such a long time we eventually got by yesterday. We were greeted by very welcoming staff and the whole place had this great American pizzeria vibe to it. The menu is ain’t massive, but again not to small. Plenty to choose from and some great pizza and topping choices . Perfect in our eyes. Nothing worse than a huge menu as it takes us forever to decide anyway. Which is did to be fair, after planning a trip for so long we needed to get this right. We opted to go for the Buffalo Solidier and the Back to the chicken stack. Pizza was great, didn’t disappoint, toppings were immense, dough was extraordinary and the best thing is everything is so so fresh. We also had some shakes, a Chocolate and Berry and Banana. Again flavours we amazing and shakes fresh as out. We will be back and we reccomend anyone to try this and not to take as long as we did. Total Gem

Superb pizza! The truffle pizza we had was one if the best pizzas I can remember. My wife thinks it was the nicest she’s ever had. It was very busy early on a Saturday evening but there were six staff working very hard. They were brilliant.

Very good pizza, we’re out of stock of drinks so I can’t review them. Price was ok for two people to eat, would buy drinks if in stock.

Great spot for pizza. Cripsy base and lovely toppings, one of my new favourites for pizza. I went when it was quite busy, so had to sit outside, still the pizza slices came quickly and I got myself a draught beer. Would highly recomend!

Amazing pizza but the service is terrible. I’ve been there 5 times now and every single time the staff look like they can’t be bothered to serve you and are super rude.

Best pizza in town! I have no words, I didn’t really know what to expect with New York style as I’m accustomed to Napoli style and it’s my absolute fave - that’s served at their other site in Sandiford but I thought I’d try this one on the quayside. It was actually amazing. I went for a plain New York Cheese but the cheese tasted beautiful and was finished off perfectly. Thank you! I’ll be ordering much more frequently.

Opens till 10 but stops making pizza by 9pm so will only serve ice cream from then Owner has responded as below so I can only add on my response to this edit: I am repeating what your staff told us tonight, why would we lie about this? We went in, tried to order a pizza and the girl at the counter said 'we are not serving pizza, only ice cream because we have closed the kitchen. We were a little surprised because the guy next to her was still making pizza and then she went on to add' 'we're closed and we've had a busy day' ... If she was implying that was because they ran out of dough I would understand but she didn't say that? Please check with your staff what they are saying to your customers before calling your customers liars when we are repeating what has been said to us.

We ordered via Uber eats and the delivery arrived late after us receiving two messages to advise 'Oops the delivery driver has been changed' (or somewhere along these lines). The food was cold and inedible. We were recommended the restaurant by friends and family and were let down at a family gathering. This was our first order and don't think we would order again or recommend.

New York inspired pizzas. Highly recommend going for a whole pie so it’s fresh.

Walked past here on a Sunday afternoon. Sun shining in October, grabbed a seat outside and ordered pizza and a can of Sauvignon. I was suitably impressed. The Frankie pizza was so unusual and a taste sensation. The rhythm garlic sticks with unctuous garlic parmesan sauce were so decadent and the pepperoni was just as delicious. Absolute gem and definitely will be back

Wouldn’t have thought to go in here if it wasn’t for a local friend’s recommendation. As my friend said to me, it’s the best pizza and ice cream in Newcastle!

Staff here are soo lovely and friendly. Pizza was quick and super yummy, the best pizza ever!!!. If you are local or visiting Newcastle don't think about buying Pizza anywhere else. Blonde girl with glasses working on sat night is the sweetest girl ever, look after her. I can't even explain how good this Pizza is, you need to try for yourself,once you have, you will not go anywhere else for Pizza.

What a disappointment compared to other Scream Pizza places. It's like really cheap NY pizza with no taste. The dips were also very poor quality, e.g. the garlic mayo is tasteless. We topped things off with the cherry Bakewell ice cream, which was also disappointing! It was like a bog standard vanilla ice cream, no cherries or anything extra to make it worth five quid. I really wanted to like this place. Maybe it was just an off day though as all the other reviews seem positive. The only good thing they nailed is the NY style venue. But the food quality let's it down, for me.

Had an amazing slice of pizza here, not so long ago. We sat outside which was rather nice especially as it’s along the quayside. The service was speedy and the food was very nice. Moderately priced too.

Very disappointing pizza. This is the first time I've ordered from here and I had high hopes, however the pizza I received was appalling. It was stone cold and in one way very dry, and in another swimming in grease. There was hardly any cheese on the pizza and way too much sauce. The herbs were not fresh and had a grittiness. It was shared by three of us and we all thought it was an incredibly poor pizza. I've ordered another takeaway from somewhere else to make up for this very disappointing experience. Edit: This was ordered via Uber. There is clearly no point in contacting your staff about it because I can see in your reply to another customer that it is Ubers problem once it leaves your restaurant - since they were no help, I very rarely use Uber now. Your review responses are appalling. Perhaps you should get a third party to manage this so you stop being so unpleasant to customers. Further edit: this is not an attack on you, it is a fair review of the appalling meal I received from your business. All my reviews are fair and based on genuine experiences and others will see that there is a mix of good and bad reviews depending upon my experiences. This one is even backed up by a photo of the disappointing article that I paid your company in good faith to make in your restaurant and for UberEats to deliver. You accuse me of being rude, however I was initially taken aback by being berated for having the audacity to leave an honest review. I have reread my comments above and worry that you must be extremely sensitive if you think I was being rude and perhaps you're not the best person to handle reviews and customer service for your business. Your response is extremely unprofessional. You are telling a paying customer off for sharing their honest opinion. This is the purpose of reviews. I understand this business is 'your baby' and that sometimes the truth hurts. You must learn to handle criticism better and to respond to reviewers in a more professional manner. I'm sure others reading will agree that you have acted very unreasonably. It is unfair of you to place the blame for the quality of your food on UberEats. It took them less than 10 minutes to deliver the pizza and clearly there was a quality control issue that caused you to allow a substandard pizza to leave your restaurant. I usually love their vegetarian pizzas but today, somehow my veggie pizza had a few pieces of bacon stuck on the dough. I understand it can be a difficult task to separate the pizzas but please be careful to avoid any cross contamination. Thank You.

Cannot eat the pizza as i have ceoliac disease and they have no GF options (not complaining it’s a small unit) however it would be helpful clearly stating if the ice cream is GF? Also the staff are sooo rude and miserable!

Proper lush place to have a slice (or two) of pizza. I had the vegan options and the staff were really considerate, cleaned our table before we ate, and had some seats indoors and outdoors and a good turnover of customers coming in and out.

Food is nice but staff were really rude - extremely rude and abrupt to the Uber eats staff, rude to all the people that came in and ordered food, didn’t smile once to anyone and just made you feel like they didn’t want you there, no thank yous and when I received my ice cream they just put it on the counter - not even a “there you go”. The way they talk to people is shocking. I enjoy the food but it really ruined my experience and made the atmosphere in the place terrible. We ate the pizzas inside and as soon as we got the ice creams we left as we didn’t want to sit in there anymore.

Honestly this is the best pizza I have tried, at least in Newcastle. I have been several times and the last time they remembered me so it was a kind detail that made my day. I recommend trying one with the chilli honey that they make.

The pizza was nice however the staff member which served us was not very friendly at all and made a rude comment towards me which was unneeded therefore, I will not be returning to this establishment.

Been here a few times now over the last year or so. Pizza is just ok and pricey for what you get. Perhaps part of the problem could be their basic slice seems over-engineered. Maybe that's why they have to overcharge? Real NY slices are simpler, tastier, easier to eat and generally cheaper. This might be splitting hairs but I think that I Scream also over-sauces their pizza. For me, Slice in Grainger Market is both a better slice and better value. Wine by the can at I Scream is pretty good but not enough to make me want to return. To be fair their main restaurant in Sandyford (Scream for Pizza) is v good so I'd advise people try that instead. The Sandyford HQ does a more Neapolitan style pie.

Friendly and helpful staff, best pizza (NY …huge slice) had in a long time … that garlic butter base - yummy!

The pizzas are excellent and reasonably priced, and the shakes are divine. I wasn't sure if the chocolate soft serve would be any good but it is absolutely heavenly (fior di latte!) and I keep coming back for the cherry shake. Only wish you had toilets!

Located on the quayside we absolutely love eating at I scream for Pizza. The crispy New York slices are just amazing with a variety of interesting toppings. The taste and quality of the pizza is always consistent and served swiftly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite.

Just love the pizza . Tried the double pepperoni with garlic and tangy tomato base. I don’t know why I love love love their crust it’s damn good. So flavorful. Tried it with their special green patois hot dip and the garlic and Parmesan dip. Garlic Parmesan dip need a shout out that’s how good it was. We sat outside the view is fantastic. It’s a little pizza place with a big soul. Definitely recommend. ❤️

Delicious BUT different from their ‘on the road’ pizzas. I’ve had countless pizzas from their mobile pizza van and whilst the slice I had in store was delicious, it wasn’t the same. But would that put me off going back? Absolutely not. Be aware it’s a small venue with two tables inside and two outside so getting a seat may be not always be possible.

Pizza slices are out of this world, I normally get the lamb fender I really bigged this up to my partner and I decided to get a full pizza and I was really disappointed hardly no lamb on the pizza and definitely wasn't made to the standard of the separate slices

We visited I Scream this evening and we want to give it 100% for everything! My boys had a massive slice of delicious cheesey heaven, and both struggled to finish, they were so giant! One had chocolate milkshake which he loved and is now his "second favourite thing" ; the other had the Scream 99 sundae which he tells me was "100% good" and was "so good!". This is high praise from my sugar-obsessed 4 year old! Mum and Dad were happy as we got a couple of pints. Overall, we were chuffed with this wee find - staff were amazing and it's a relaxed atmosphere.

I’m not local, however this place has been on my list for some time. I visited on a Thursday lunch time just after it had opened, I was surprised how many people were already in but this didn’t have an impact on the service. So I went for a slice of Frankie’s pizza - this was my favourite., the toppings and seasoning work together really well. I also went for the cheesy garlic fingers - wow these were so cheesy! I’d defiantly recommend these, ideally to share with somebody else! To accompany these I had the black truffle Alioli, I’m a massive fan of black truffle and I know some people can find the flavour overwhelming however I feel this was quite well played down with the alioli. I also the chilli honey dip, which personally I found a bit underwhelming a bit too much honey for my liking, but it may suit others.

Always a really good environment and the food is delicious. The weeknight family deal is amazing too 🙌

Have to say this place has give dramatically downhill. Bought the 22” NY Cheese (signature pizza) tonight got it home (one street away) and it’s burnt, dry (not a single gooey cheese moment more like a Tesco own make Margarita left too long in the oven) meagre with the cheese and just not worth the money any more. Shame. Not something to look forward to and definitely not worth the £20 odd quid. What happened guys? Need to do better. Appreciate cost of living issues but putting prices up AND reducing quality and size isn’t really a great deal for customers. Definitely won’t be back.

Delicious pizza with amazing toppings! Perfectly crispy base, and fresh toppings. Very small venue with only 2 tables, a sort of wall table for a quick bite, and two outdoor tables. Perfect for grabbing a slice of pizza and heading out again. We dined in and found the staff friendly and helpful. The shakes were great. They're more like a classic milkshake (more like a milky ice cream drink, rather than a thick ice cream shake). Worth a visit if you're on the Quayside or looking for a delicious lunch.

I was brought up Italian. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I swear it's laced with heroin. It just makes no sense. How can it be this good?
