I visit this cafe most days for breakfast or lunch and the food is excellent. The breakfast start from a small breakfast to gigantic “Navvy” special. Lunches of Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Cottage Pie and many daily specials including Fish, Curries, Ham Egg & Chips . Give it a try. Great value for money. Situated in St Anne’s Road at the corner of Reddenhill Road.
Great to 'bump' into this place after visiting a friend on the coast. The owner was incredibly hospitable and the space is good. This is traditional Carpathian street food and I had the sour cream, cheese and pickle option. I was not disappointed as I scoffed it on my way back to the metro. Try it, it's good.
I used to like this place and used over other local establishments in the area. I ordered a bacon baguette on this occasion to drive home 8 miles and eat my sandwich to find half way through eating there was chicken inside it... bonus if you like chicken... but myself can’t stand it and makes me ill eating it. So we rang up stating of what happened and no real offer for money back or anything. So for people who have allergies with white meat... beware as the woman stated “we cook all meat in one pan” won’t be back again... shocking.
Nicest oatcakes I’ve had in a good while as a local never knew it was there food was gorgeous totally spotless parking is a struggle but a few hundred yard walk would be well worth the end product knocks spots off the bigger names and will defo be making it my number1 go to brekkie place make it yours 👍🏻👍🏻
My son and I stumbled upon this caféfeeling tired and hungry after our house move. I was amazed by the cheerful and interesting new owners and the lovely decor. It was immaculate and yet extremely homely. We ordered the vegetarian breakfast which Jamie Oliver would have been proud of. Beautiful. The self effacing new owners were so obviously master cooks and artists as well.
I can't wait to go back. Cafés can often be over priced, complacent and a bit tired. Not this one. I would highly recommend a visit to lift the spirits and experience beautiful food.
This is the second time we've visited this restaurant. It's excellent. A restaurant with AUTHENTIC food ..a real hidden gem . We love it. Do try the dossa, you'll love them...and totally unique.
How many times do I walk past this place each week? Lots!
I went in a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed a delicious coffee and a cake.
Sitting at a stool in the window, I watched the world go by.
Will I go in again? Yes but not at lunchtime because it is crowded with pupils from nearby schools ---- good for the shop!
I am not a vaper but I love this place! The range of freshly ground and filtered coffee beans is absolutely amazing! And Les and Ann (owner and his Mum) are lovely people, as is their assistant, Liam. Les is self-taught about coffee beans and tobacco juicing. He makes some of his own juices for vaping and has an extensive range. We love to bob in for a coffee, complimentary Lotus biscuits and a good chinwag on their 3 person sofas.
I wish they would put a little cafe seating where the coffee is ground besides the seating in the vaping lounge.
Absolutely love this establishment.Definitely worth a visit. Fairly close to the Railway station on the way to Coventry City Centre ( just look for Trigger the horse metal Sculpture) A lovely ambiance in quite a long room but still has a cozy feel to it with sofas and gentle background music.Great in the summer too as it has small patio area at the back with parasols giving it a genuine holiday feeling. Amazing food with a good and varied menu which is well presented and freshly cooked. Katie & Magdalena always have a smile on their face and nothing is too much trouble for them. An extensive choice of bottled beers, spirits and cocktails, reasonably priced.Table service is encouraged which makes it a very relaxed place to be with friends and cannot wait to go back again.Best place in Cov
Lovely candlelit afternoon tea on a very cold snowy Sunday. Homemade cakes, sandwiches, scones & trifle and a warm welcome by the lady running the tearoom. A bit of a walk from the centre of Durham in the snow for two visiting ladies, but worth the trek. You do need to pre-book.
