I stupidly left the house number off the order, but they contacted me and re-delivered having re-cooked the order. Much appreciated.

Not the delivery drivers fault but they kept putting the time further and further back, so my kids had to eat something else as it was getting towards their bedtime.

Me and my partner got this delivered tonight, it would be our tenth or so time of ordering in from here. I always get the same thing which is the garlic chicken box but tonight it came with no sauce, it was just dry chicken, rice and chips! I love it here so much but I'm so disappointed.

Simply fabulous food, best Italian this side of Italy. Used 4 or 5 times now and the food is consistently superb so far. Compliments to the chef!

We have been coming for a while , so when it was sold we worried and so we should! How can an Italian restaurant not have cannelloni for 5 weeks? We went this evening no Parmesan evidently waiting for a delivery , which company allows this to me this shows that this business is in trouble or doesn’t care!! . I have to add the staff are fab and work hard … so come on owners make it work properly please

Waited over 2 hours for food, to then be told delivery driver broke down. Ordered at 19:45, and finally told order was not coming at 21:55. not the first time we’ve had this problem and was promised a refund first time which never came through. left at 10pm with no food. we are regular customers and won’t be ordering again. we understand things happen but to be told 2 hours later and told there’s no option and i can receive my original refund is really bad service and not good enough.

Waited over an hour for delivery, and over 15mins longer than the latest predicted delivery tome of 21.25. It's the second time it's happened and coincidentally it's the second time a delivery drivers car has broken down. IF the delivery driver's car has broken down, that's not on me as the paying customer, it's on you as a business to sort it out and find a solution. Really frustrating. It's a shame because the food is always nice, but you need to sort the delivery process out.

Ordered a takeaway and all you could taste were Italian herbs and nothing else. It was not good at all. This place used to be nice but this was shocking.

Think it's changed owners since I last went and is now an Italian. The owner is a bit miserable and has no atmosphere. The only good side is no alcohol license, so you can take your own glasses are provided. It's not the best food I've tasted, though there was plenty of salmon in it.

Beautiful pizza and garlic bread delivered hot. Always quality food from here.

Lasagna, where’s the besciamelle sauce? Carbonara, cream and standard bacon instead of real eggs and pancietta/guanciale really? The Godfather would be offended!

Only had a drink, but the manager left us alone to talk. I kept an eye whether the table was required but thankfully not. I have been here for food in the past, and really enjoyed it. Fresh tasty food, and a walk home, what more could you want. Highly recommended.

First time at the Bistro, what a great little place. It's not licensed which in many respects, is a good thing as it means you can choose your own drinks and it keeps the cost down. Meal was excellent, possibly the best Tiramisu I've had in quite a while. Very impressed, will definitely be visiting again.

Lasagna wasn't hot, had to put it in the oven. Tiramsu was more like chocolate cake and dry. Really disappointed as usually great food.

Fantastic as always. Caeser salad is the best around. Was gutted at first they didn't have tiramisu in stock, but the chocolate orange cake they sent instead was absolutely gorgeous!

Lovely warm friendly atmosphere and good quality food. Exactly what a bistro should be. Family home cooked meals. We are antipasti platter - which was plentiful and tasty followed by cannelloni and spaghetti bolognaise also really well cooked and flavoursome. We’ve walked past loads of times - so pleased we finally went in! Also great to see gluten free options so clearly labelled.

You know you really like a place when the delivery person calls you by your first name!!!

First visit for me, about the 8th visit for my wife. Great decor, excellent, extensive menu. The food is really good with great flavour and portion sizes. Definitely worth booking as it’s a popular place. Great service too. Looking forward to going back again. Update Sat 17th Feb. We returned to the bistro again, this evening, with friends. I honestly love this restaurant. The food was excellent, all four of us really had a great evening, starters and mains all round. I had a king prawn cocktail followed by the triple fish main- half sea bass, half salmon and king prawns in a butter and lemon sauce. I absolutely loved it, it really was an outstanding dish and one I would happily and definitely eat again. The place was full again, a great sign and the staff, both in the kitchen and front of house did a wonderful job. Impeccable! 6 stars this time! Thank you.

Very popular Bistro, booked by a friend for Ladies luncheon. On our arrival, quiet but they were full and busy. Everyone seems to be regulars, and no wonder why, The food was lovely. Would recommend but book first

THE best take away (and eat in) Italian you can possible find. I have lost count how many deliveries we have had from the bistro and it never fails to impress us. The value for money is incredible and flavours 10/10. Our ‘go-to’ for a guaranteed tasty tea

Usually love this place, great food and fab delivery service. However I ordered today 15/1/24, order originally confirmed for 7:05pm delivery. Within 10 minutes I had 3 just eat messages saying that the order was delayed, the last 1 saying delivery would be 8:55pm. Nearly a 2 hour delay!! Rang the restaurant and was told our order was next out (but it’s still going to be over an hour) yeah ok. The girls“You can come and get it if you want” made me cancel the order. Shame. Won’t be ordering again

Great food - fulfilled my request for extra garlic and chillies on pizza. Delivered hot by a pleasant delivery lady. A little late but we were kept informed of difficulties with snowy weather and understandable given it has been coldest night for over a decade! Will definitely be a regular customer if they keep this level of service and food quality up. Top eating experience!

The restaurant is only a couple of miles away yet the food arrived cold. The boiled rice was a congealed blob and I doubt the roast potatoes had ever seen the inside of an oven.

Food normally great. It was half hour late and lasagne burnt. Asked for refund of lasagne and got ignored. Not good enough at all. Shame as ordered from here a lot of times. Would have thought they would look after regular customers

This really has become my favourite place to eat…. It’s close to hand so can easily walk from my home in Summerseat. I’ve eaten there all times of the day, food is always excellent and staff are really nice. Real local feel to the place. Prices are extremely competitive and for me superb for money. The fact there’s no alcohol license is beneficial to the customers as this keeps the price right down. Can’t say enough about the place. We love it for all occasions.

A little bit of a wait but it was well worth it as usual

A little disappointed with the fillet stroganoff portion. I ordered regular and I’m glad I did because any smaller it would have been ridiculous. £17.95 for what I received was too much. Also received risotto rice which I didn’t expect and it was like rice pudding. The steak and sauce for what there was, was beautiful and cooked to perfection. I would hate to see the small portion.

Food took a little longer than usual as it was a Sunday but well worth the wait! Hot and delicious :)

This is the second time this has happened now with an order! If you are busy inhouse then don’t take orders on just eat!! Also don’t fob customers off by saying “your order is on the way” 25 minutes ago!! Absolutely shocking business!

I'm really disappointed with the service tonight. I've been ordering from village bistro since lockdown . Order should have been delivered 45 to 1 hour. An hour later enjoy you food..... no order received .... 2 hours for delivery food lukewarm and the rice was cold and dry .
