The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

This restaurant moved from the ground floor to the first floor to accommodate renovations. It’s now in a windowless room that, while nicely decorated, is quite claustrophobic and can get loud when it’s crowded. The restaurant also seems understaffed. While everyone is friendly and nice, the staff seem overwhelmed. You have to ask for things several times before it gets done, and it took a very long time for someone to come take my order. Overall, not a seamless experience and not something I would expect from the Four Seasons.

We had delicious sharer platters for our Sunday roast. Huge portion and well priced for a good roast! Clement was a brilliant server, giving good suggestions when we asked for guidance and giving us good attention and making us feel welcome. We’ll be back!

Best Italian restaurant around very authentic! The staff are amazing couldn’t do enough for us. We can’t wait to come back with the family .

This is the nicest restaurant run but the kindest people. The food was amazing and so tasty, the pasta was delicious- felt like i really was in Positano! They were even able to cater around my mums extensive dietary issues (both gluten and dairy free). i would 100% recommend the bruschetta!!

As a regular customer to Rays Italian, both my wife and myself would like to thank Stacey for another wonderful meal last night. We love all things Italian and this restaurant certainly presses all the right buttons for us... What do we like about Rays Italian? What a fab meal. Pizza was great. Olives yum!! Nothing to say but thank you for a lovely meal :-)) Will be back to enjoy more of the menu !

First time here and not disappointed. We chose to the early dining menu which at £20.95 was a bargain. Two courses and a glass of wine or a soft drink and the house wines, red, white and rose were all very palatable. The welcome, staff and service were first class. For a special menu the choices were unusually extensive and could meet everyones taste. We weren't rushed and had lots if time to chat anx enjoy the delicious food. We'll be eating here again when we next visit the town.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming. The food itself was great, especially the asparagus as a starter. The sirloin steak was so delicious too, but the cherry on the cake was the dessert. Their tiramisu is marvellous 😀 You can taste fresh food. I would tottaly recommend La Camoagna to anyone and will surely return. Thank you to all the staff there as well, especially Amy the waitress. My God, she was so amazing and warm. Her customer service is the best.

Siamo venuti in questo locale perché avevamo l’hotel vicino…che fortuna!Il locale è molto carino e il titolare Alex e sua moglie sono gentilissimi.Abbiamo provato sia pizza che primi che secondi ed è tutto di livello ottimo.Pappardelle al sugo di agnello e carbonara super!Prezzi in linea con i prezzi di Londra.Da provare sicuramente!

Absolute shambles , we reserved a table for 9 3-4 weeks before our booking, paid a deposit the week before and pre-order as requested. When we arrived the place was chaotic, after 20 minutes we managed to order a drink and after 45 minutes our table still wasn’t ready. The staff told us the table would be ready in 5 minutes and then served cake to the party on the table we had booked . We gave up eventually , even the owner wasn’t in control and no one was either apologetic or actually tried to solve the problem , they just expected us to wait . At least 2 other parties were in the state as us - please avoid this restaurant unless your are on a diet .

Lovely restaurant and staff doing a great job. This traditional Italian is always reliable - taken over by new people and just as before has reliable tasty Italian food and great service. Good pizzas, pasta and lots more Italian favourites. I had a tasty salmon in tomato sauce and tasty veg. The tiramisu is also unmissable ! Well done to all. X

We visited while on holiday in the village after reading the reviews on here. The restaurant is small but didn’t feel awkward at all - just glad we booked! The pasta dishes were all delicious and everything was very reasonably priced. Lovely friendly waitress and atmosphere was perfect. Definitely give this place a visit if you’re staying in Ingleton!

We’ve been to this restaurant so many times and it’s always 5/5! Ambience and service is always fantastic Food is always delicious and fresh with lots of variety Drinks are really reasonably priced All in all love it and we’ll continue to come here!
