Great place, neighbourhood restaurant off the beaten track, excellent food quality and value I loved the food very authentic plus good sicilian wines on offer.

The food and atmosphere were great but they didn’t have sufficient staff. We waited over 10 minutes to be seated, another 10 minutes for our menu, then once our order was placed it took 30 minutes for our drinks. Food was nice when it came but small things let it down e.g. they cleared my boyfriends plate whilst I was eating my starter, gave us menus after we asked for the bill and would bring food out the kitchen and leave on the bar for up to 5 minutes whilst they tried to figure out where it goes

Absolutely fantastic. The food, service & experience were fabulous and everything was so well done. The most fresh pasta I've had and the flavours of all 3 of our pasta dishes were delicious!!

A lovely evening with a friend. The staff are really lovely, the ambience is really friendly, and the food was excellent. Service was slow - I wondered if they were a person down as the restaurant was packed. I would definitely go back.

We so enjoyed our meal on Saturday night. The staff were charming and the food was delicious. The starters were generously sized and allowed us all to share a bit of one another's which was great as the truffle gnocchi was particularly beautiful. My (fussy) teenage daughter said it was the best thing she had ever eaten! Our main courses were excellent too. Thank you for a lovely evening

Tonight me and my boyfriend we decided to try this restaurant as one of our colleague recommend your place. We made the booking for tonight for 7:30pm and I would like to say Big Thank You for the service and of course delicious food. From the moment we step in to this place we've been greeting from staff as they have very friendly approach - especially Marco & Martin who's been wonderful. Making my way back from Richmond with a pit stop in East Putney thinking id find something decent to eat. Couldn’t so ended up in Wandsworth town and thought it’s gonna end up being a Nando’s until a 4.7 Italian came up on my goodie search. The inside of the restaurant was empty making me think it may have been a bad choice but I was led to a backdoor with some seating in a small outside area and it was much busier. Relief I thought, plus got a nice corner table. The crab ravioli with lobster sauce was divine, probably the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. The bruschetta starter was nice too. My partner went for the rib eye and that was good too. If I’m in the area again I’d come back no problem. Service was attentive, they were brilliant just like the food.

The best pasta I have had in a long time. Excellent food, reasonably priced and wonderful service. They have a small outdoor seating space at back of restaurant. Lovely and secluded. Highly recommend, particularly the Crab ravioli and the truffle gnocchi. T

Il Girasole está abierto actualmente para el almuerzo con un menú corto que incluye entrantes por cinco, algunas pastas, bastantes pizzas y un trío de ensaladas para ocho más un refresco de cortesía. Una ensalada de bresaola con una generosa ración de carne se sirvió muy bien en una bandeja alargada. Me impresionó una pizza con una combinación ganadora de pimientos rojos njuja y dos tipos de queso y una corteza ligera. Terminamos con un espresso y un té de manzanilla. Un gerente usó una máscara; otro no lo hizo.

Superb food, great, hard working staff (especially Marco) and a lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back, especially seeing as their 50% off offer is also running in September.

Small tables and small room can mean it is loud and you have a crowed table.<br />But the food and the staff were beyond amazing !!

A truely fantastic Italian. Nothing was too much trouble, our two young children spent most of the evening watching the pizzas being made! Absolutely delicious fresh tasting food and great service. We ll be back!

Delicious food as always and great service. Alessandro was kind enough to put the children&#039;s orders in first so they didn&#039;t get hungry, and willing to adapt a dish from the main menu for my daughter, who loves the sausage tortellini with the truffle sauce.

Absolutely incredible food - fresh pasta and homemade sauces to die for.<br />It&#039;s not the most swanky of restaurants - very much like an authentic Italian trattoria - so it doesn&#039;t feel very swish - but the food more than makes up for it.

Really good quality food and friendly service. Good sized portions and very reasonably priced. The crayfish and crab ravioli was perfectly cooked and flavoursome. Highlight was the cannoli for dessert - beautifully rich and tasted just like a chocolate orange. 3 courses and 2/3 bottle of wine came to £45 with service so excellent value. Will definitely be returning soon.

We went here for the second time tonight and the food was amazing!! The pasta was delicious and there was a really good specials board. Friendly service too. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

My family and I had a delicious meal today at Il Girasole. The service was excellent, from Alessandro and the young waitress. We had two young children in the group and they were made to feel welcome.My main was a special of ravioli filled with braised beef. I have never had this before but thoroughly enjoyed them!All in all, the whole family enjoyed our food and hope to return soon.

I had an amazing night, great atmosphere delicious food. Couldn't ask for anything more! The waitress was so polite and attentive even after the fact that there some extremely rude customers at table next to us that screamed at her. Apart from that drama everything was wonderful.

Took my niece here last Sunday. Food was fresh and delicious. She had the pappardelle and I had the tortellini. Both dishes were fantastic and highly recommend them.

Todo lo que comimos estaba delicioso y hablaba de un gran cuidado con los ingredientes y la cocina. El restaurante en sí era bullicioso, el servicio excelente, amable, atento y comprometido. Tuvimos una gran noche, el ambiente era cálido y acogedor. Definitivamente volveremos (con frecuencia tenemos la oportunidad, no somos tan locales). Las opciones de vino eran buenas, desde el vino de la casa hasta la gama más amplia de opciones italianas. Este ritmo es un verdadero hallazgo, asegúrate de probarlo, es como estar en Italia.

Really disappointed with this restaurant after reading all the great reviews on here. <br />Service was ok - could of been better, we were not offered any Parmesan or black pepper with our pasta dishes. The starters were ok - except they burnt the bruschetta bread and served it black round the edges. My pasta was luke warm - would of been ok but the plates were cold! and my friend’s lasagna was actually cold in the middle, she ended up sending it back and they returned the same portion re-heated. I had high hopes for this place! Sadly my expectations were not met!

This is a regular haunt. The food is excellent and if you like pasta it is the best in London. Good wine list and recommend a negroni as an apperitif.

Lovely, intimate, local restaurant. We received a warm and friendly welcome. We were well cared for during our visit to the restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious, freshly made with top quality ingredients. Cannot fault any aspect.

One of our favourite local bistros. I had on overnight stay for work in the area, I read about this place and decided to give it a try. It was one of the best Italian meals I have eaten, I ate some amazing beef and finished with Tiramisu. Next time I am around here, I will definitely be returning! Thanks a lot! :)

Local gem. Definitely recommend for an evening meal. Pizza base was thin, crispy and exactly what we wanted. The truffle smell was heavenly on the pizza. Absolutely loved the crab &amp; crayfish ravioli. Will absolutely be visiting again.

Los anfitriones son amables y acogedores y el restaurante es un lugar maravilloso para pasar el rato, comer bien y conversar. Just love coming here, its been a while but it never fails to make a fantastic night , very busy and the owner did state there might be a wait for the food , i was more than happy as the atmosphere and wine was great and lets face it , it was jam packed. <br />The food was excellent, and will be going back again.

The customer service was excellent in every respect and the food we chose exceeded our expectations. They had a great board with special dishes of the day and we chose two of those the Veal and the King Prawns which were worthy of any restaurant anywhere.<br />A great family atmosphere and the bottle of Prosecco we chose was served to us quicker than any bottle of any wine we have had served to us at any previous establishment over many years.<br />We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and regret we only occasionally will be in the area to revisit as if closer it would be on the top of our list for regular eating. Looking forward to the next time we are in the vicinity as it will be our number one priority to revisit.

I love this place. The new waitress will hopefully improve in time- she forgot our water twice and it was hard to get her attention.

The tortellini with Umbrian sausage was superb and everything else was cooked to perfection. The impression given was that they were rightly proud of their food where even the simplest dish was special. We had an excellent Chianti and the basic grappa was smooth and delicious. Service was swift and friendly.

Overall as god as ever, everyone we have taken, or recommended, here has always had a very good time. On this occasion if I really want to be fussy then I might take issue with the choice of music (a bit more thumping modern Italian than the pleasant melodies that usually accompany conversation) and a young waitress who was a little disorganised. But these pedantic comments must not put you off enjoying this great place.

I love Il Girasole- I have been time and time again and always enjoyed it. The pasta with sausage and truffle is my absolute favourite, I always recommend to friends. Please put back the chocolate fondant dessert on the menu :)

This is a great little restaurant serving proper Italian cuisine. Always love coming here. Only thing is the service isn&#039;t great. I had to call someone over about drinks and to ask for water and noone came over to ask how our food was the last time I went. There only ever seems to be one waitress attending to everyone. <br />In spite of this would definitely recommend this place as quality of food and atmosphere makes up for it.

Wonderful food and broad menu, extremely accommodating staff! We were going to be given the last batch of a vegetable side, but the chef/owner went out of his way to whip us a salad up instead as he deemed the veggies not good enough! Lovely ambience, nice and relaxed, felt like we were back in Italy!
