Mediocre Pizzas which surely should be the main event. Surly service and forgot some dishes. Quite pricey for an Italian restaurant with nothing particularly stand out.

Look no further for a fabulous place for a small party or dinner or lunch out. I have just come home from my mothers very special birthday lunch Mila, Tony & the team pushed the boat out for us. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The lunch was sharing platters and there was huge choice and variety. There was enough of every dish for everyone to try everything. Mushroom Aranchini, two types of bruschetta, roasted vegetables with buratta,sea bass, roasted cod, vegetarian lasagne, caponata - the list goes on and on. This is just a sample of what we had. The decor is beautiful with flowers on the ceiling and an old fashioned bike decorated with flowers too. Tony and Mila included red and white wine, water, teas and coffee and fresh roses on the table for an all inclusive price. We were so happy to spend our afternoon there - in fact my mum said at 4-30 perhaps we should wrap up the event.- we’d been there since noon. We hope that lots of people have many happy occasions in this delightful restaurant.

Visit pre-Championship match at Saracen’s StoneX Stadium. Efficient booking by Tony. Warm welcome when we arrived. Excellent swift service. Food ( Amarancillo Truffle starter and Veal/Lamb & Rosemary main with Caponata Side Dish - a superb Sicilian speciality ). Wine - fine:- PRIMITIVO SASSEO SALENTO IGT Masseria Altemura. 100% Primitivo. Full bodied red wine, with notes of blackberries, baked ripe fruits, spices and soft tannins. Deliciously smooth. Overall, good value, most pleasant meal, great Sicilian Chef and personable professional service. Recommended.

We enjoy the restaurant very much and visit often. However it is very annoying the owners allow their delivery people to come in and out of the restaurant in their full motor bike kit and on a cold night the door opening and closing all the time. Indeed twice one of the delivery people knocked my chair and it makes for an uncomfortable evening. Please find an alternative to having this situation. Otherwise the food and service we found very good but not sure how you justify £9.50 for minestrone soup on the specials.

This was our second visit to That's Amore - and we were just as impressed as the first time. Everyone's dishes were fabulous - from delicious minestrone and melanzana parmigiana ... to escalope Milanese and outstanding calves liver. Ice creams come from Italy and are also superb. Lovely owners - very good service. Will definitely be back!

Arrived at restaurant no greeting no warmth just ignored . Eventually got menu and ordered 4 minestrones - asked for very hot came warm 3 livers with mashed potatoes (quarter portion ) complained and was told no more being made tonight.. returned with roast potatoes and told that we would not be charged for the extra potato!!! I had a portion of mellanze which was pre cooked and the reheated…poor quality and Luke warm Tried to speak constructively to the owner who was on transmit and not receive - telling me of her problems and not interested in solving ours Bill came and we were charged 10 pounds per soup and paid an exhorbitant price for the meal 156 pounds !!! Until they get their act together I cannot recommend a restaurant which I used to enjoy Shame

We had the most wonderful private dinner held last night at Thats Amore restaurant . The whole evening was exquisite and felt very special from start to finish. The ambience, service and of course food were outstanding. Tony and his amazing staff made sure that everyone was happy and they had everything they needed throughout every part of the evening, and we felt like we had our very own Italian feast, with several courses and dishes coming out of the kitchen every few minutes , all of which were hot and nothing short of delicious. This evening I went out with 3 of my good friends to this restaurant to celebrate joint birthday of two my friends. Upon arrival the lady asked me who’s birthday it was she said she was going to bring out the cake. Half way through I approached her to give the two of my friends names she said I don’t need their names just to know who to bring cake out to. At the end of the dinner she never bothered to bring out a cake! This is very rude, terrible service, why promise something and not do! They charge 12.5% service charge. Food was very blend, my tagliatelle with prawns and spicy tomato was salty and not spicy at all!! The desert, cannoli was the worst I have ever had in my life!! After one bite I had to leave it! This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been! The only thing we liked was the wine, and the company of each other!! Will never return to this restaurant again!! Such a pity this family run business has no clue how to show good service to customers!

Booked last minute, they were busy but managed to find us a table. Both service and food was impeccable. A real find and my new favourite restaurant. I had sea bass and was as good as I ever remember having. My wife had the tuna and that was excellent. The spaghetti bolognese was very authentic. Highly recommended

How blessed are Simon and I that we live just five blocks from this wonderful Italian restaurant. We eat here regularly and have new had a bad meal or bad service. Tonight we enjoyed their calamari and zucchini starter and two FABULOUS pizzas. A bottle of red Surya washed it down perfectly. I know I have reviewed this restaurant before but it just get better and better.

We had lunch at That's Amore today and it was just an amazing experience! The arancini as a starter were tasty and very well presented (so inviting that I even forgot to take a picture of them, unfortunately). We then had scialatielli with seabass and the well made, rich but at the same time delicate sauce really complimented the thick pasta cooked al dente. I also really recommend the cod and the seabass dishes, both excellent. To finish we had a tiramisu to die for. It's rare to find such a cosy, little restaurant in the neighbourhood which is also serving high quality, and fairly priced food. Service is attentive, friendly yet professional. Well done guys! We'll definitely be back soon!

I found this Restaurant via google and the outdoor seating was the first thing that attracted me, it has a beautiful layout and very cosy with outdoor heating and blankets.Next was the food, it was presented very nicely and looked so tasty! So I suggested to my family that we go here and we are all so glad we did!They are dog friendly and really know how to look after their customers!Once seated at the table they greeted us with a smooth glass of Prosecco which was such a lovely surprise.The lady that served us did such an amazing job, no request was an issue, she was super friendly, knows how to have a laugh with her customers and recommended some amazing wine and starters. She really knows her stuff!I cannot explain to you how good the food is! Those arancini balls, you will not regret! All the staff were friendly and spared no expense to give us all a great dining experience.The chefs did amazing catering to our requests.

Esta noche, siendo domingo, estaba más tranquilo, así que hicimos una reserva y no nos decepcionó. La comida no solo está muy bien cocinada, sino que las porciones son gigantes. Nunca había comido una porción tan grande de gambas en ningún plato de pasta gamberoni. Otro miembro de la familia comió pizza de gorgonzola con manzana, que fue una combinación increíble. Al estar ubicados en Temple Fortune, estarán acostumbrados a clientes exigentes, pero después de hacer una serie de solicitudes para variar los platos que pedimos, nada fue demasiado difícil. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en la zona.

Confirmé para las 7 pm, me llamaron al día siguiente para confirmar las 7 pm, cuando llegamos allí me dijeron que habíamos reservado para las 7:30 después de una conferencia con su libro y el personal donde teníamos que estar de pie y esperar, estoy discapacitado y tuvo que ponerse de pie. . . . Luego nos mostraron una mesa junto a la puerta, el restaurante estaba casi vacío, no había avisos reservados en las otras mesas. Dijo que no queríamos sentarnos junto a la puerta con gente entrando y saliendo. La camarera fue bastante grosera. Nuestro vino se acaba de verter y nos llevó años antes de que recibiéramos algún servicio para el vino o se abrió. La comida era mediocre y no caliente. Le pregunté si el helado era casero, no lo era. Recibimos la factura y nos fuimos.

For previous anniversaries, my wife and I have had many magical experiences... restaurants, city trips, romantic getaways... My point being, that on this occasion we drove 5 minutes from our house and had the most magical experience of them all!!! From the moment we walked in to That's Amore, the team (the family team as we found out) made sure that we had an elevated evening, the way the table had been prepared with so much care and romance, chrystals on the table, flower arranged serviettes in the glassware put such a beaming smile on my wife's face that it was already a special occasion... then, they were attentive to our dietary requests before ordering... The surprises continued, A HEART SHAPED PIZZA, a delicious pasta dish, free after dinner drinks A HOME MADE Love Heart shaped Ricotta and Limoncello cake they's made especially for us, served with a sparkling candle and edible chocolate flowers and our favourite song playing on the sound system, with the lights dimmed!! It was no less than; uplifting, extraordinary, joyous, belissima!!!! They spoke wth us so sweetly but unobtrusively and we found out they are a family run place and it's no surprise as the genuine care they give to what they do is apparent. Our meal was impeccable, from the lovely burrata starter all the way to the cannoli dessert. The pizza base is delicious and cooked to perfection in a wood fired oven, the only way! I have already booked my next dinner and it’s better to book, as the restaurant is always packed, even during the week.

I go to italy frequently. This place is very good. The owner from sicily is warm and welcoming. And the food is quite excellent as good as liguria and campagnia. Will return. Very generous with truffle too.

Mind boggling that this place gets such good reviews: pizza arrived via Deliveroo 50 minutes after order placed, it had clearly been cold for quite some time and was very greasy. Avoid.

If you want excellent pasta, pizza, carne followed by exquisite home made dessert you found your heaven. Truly a diamond establishment with superb service and excellent Trebbiano by the glass. We couldn’t find a dish to not like and anything to complain about.

This is a lovely fumily run restaurant, I like to call it “my local Italian” because it’s local and it’s very much Italian! My children love it too. Very authentic and the service is good too. Why 4 stars? Because they reduced the size of meals a little which is annoying...

My friend booked this restaurant to celebrate her birthday with a small group of friends so the decision to eat there was not my own; we had to go with the flow. When we were informed of the details, I decided to visit the restaurant's website. This seemed to be unavailable but I did get the option to read reviews on Trip Advisor. The majority of the recent reviews seemed critical so I went with trepidation. I was pleasantly surprised. All five of us had no complaints about food. The waitress was extremely accommodating. The service was slow but we were in no hurry and the restaurant was busy.

This was the second time we have been to "That's Amore". The first time it was passable. This time it was lousy. I hope the owners read this review and make some changes. It could be a good local trattoria, but a combination of stupidities and lack of contrition made this a place to avoid. You could easily spend £60 for two without wine, so it would be an expensive mistake too.

Nos llevamos a nuestros amigos, los niños se llevaron a sus amigos y el lugar tenía una gran reputación y siempre estaba ocupado. Pensamos que ella estaba esperando para recoger una comida para llevar, pero resultó que ella era la anfitriona que nos mostró nuestros asientos. El personal fue atento, pero la comida lamentablemente le faltaba la calidad a la que estábamos acostumbrados bajo los dueños anteriores. Estuvo bien, pero no volveremos corriendo. Más bien extrañamente la página 2 del menú cita pasta y Risotto. No había un solo plato de Risotto en el menú, aunque hicieron uno para nosotros cuando preguntamos. Los propietarios anteriores tenían un enorme carrito de helados con aproximadamente 8 o 10 sabores, ahora solo 4 para elegir. La pizza era mediocre y el tiramisú era pobre. Vuelve Franco, te echa de menos el norte de Londres. . .

Reservamos este restaurante el 27 de diciembre para cenar en la víspera de Año Nuevo.

Strange but something in a number of the over effusive reviews didn’t ring true, spelling mistakes which indicated an Italian influence, haha yet thought also some of the one stars were over critical. In truth this is just an ordinary suburban neighbourhood restaurant like a thousand others, Nothing outstanding to distinguish it from the rest and serving up bog standard old fashioned Italian Cuisine. Service sweet but on the slow side, nothing memorable but no disasters but the promised thin and crispy pizza was anything but.

We really enjoyed the evening, me and my fiancé.

I eat a lot of tiramisu around the world; this is one of the best I’ve eaten. We also had the veal ravioli and a pizza, both of which were great.

I visited three times in three weeks whilst on holiday. Each time the food was delicious, beautifully presented and always came with a friendly smile. The prosciutto and melon was exquisite, so too the ravioli. But the pizzas are the restaurant's speciality and never failed to delight.

We've had good experiences at this restaurant previously, so when me friends suggested that we have a farewell meal before they leave London, we suggested That's Amore. We booked the table for the nine of us and it was nicely set out when we arrived. We ordered starters and main courses. The starters arrived slowly and we waited, and waited... for the main course. After half an hour or so, with the children getting increasingly fidgety, we asked what was happening. 10 minutes they said and we were still waiting. Eventually the pizzas arrived, but none of the other main courses. Our friends has to go because they were leaving early the next day and eventually we were told that the kitchen was closed and the rest of the food was not going to come at all. All the while the restaurant kept on packing up food for takeaway but ignoring the customers in the restaurant. It really spoiled the last meal we would have in London with our friends and I was embarrassed having recommended the restaurant. It seems that the restaurant is under new management and that they have simply bitten off more than they can chew in terms of running both the restaurant and the takeaway service.

My family visited this restaurant on 16th August 2018 which is no longer That’s Amore but has a new management and website should be changed to new name Fonte’s Italian Restaurant. We went with close friends who were leaving the country to have our last meal together and it was our choice of restaurant, having enjoyed previous visits before. However the service was terrible and the staff obviously couldn’t cope on a Thursday evening! Our mains never came even after asking twice and Deliveroo and takeaway orders took preference over the dining customers. We were kept waiting for over an hour for our mains despite booking beforehand.

We visited this restaurant recommended by my friend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and good value for the quality of food. Will definitely return.

We ordered from this restaurant, and were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We’ve ordered from here before, and even been at the restaurant. However this experience today was particularly negative.

Thought to book a table at this restaurant as was near us and we’ve been going there many times before. I’ve tried booking about three times over the phone that day, just to be told that they are fully booked for the whole evening, about 30 min later while walking by, saw that half the restaurant was empty, it felt like a definite lie, asked for a table and surprisingly was given one. The nightmare just began, an elderly lady which looked like some sort of manager was giving us dirty looks and it seemed that she was arguing with one of the waiters about the fact that we sat there, although later it became apartment that she had no clue about what she was doing and didn’t seem to belong on a restaurant floor whatsoever. We waited paciantly but yet it took abou 10-15 minuets for someone to ofer us a drink, we finally managed to order but while waiting, there appeared this group of elderly and grumpy customers that were standing on our heads, complaining that they want to seat at our table, which it put us in very uncomfortable situation, Even worst was the fact that the staff didn’t think of doing much about it, nor that they knew how to handle the situation, drinks took at least an other 10-15 minutes to arive, just to have the wrong order, poorly served in cans with out ice, never mind saying that there wasn’t any sort of garnish in the glasses, asked for some ice and lemon but that took ages to come, starters and mains took forever too, OVERALL THE SERVICE WAS EXTREMELY SLOW, NOT PARTICULARLY PROFESIONAL AND THE FOOD QUALITY WAS POOR, NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE BEFORE, FAR FROM IT.. therefore we aren’t thinking of returning there. If you are looking for the old That’s Amore experience, try to avoid this place!

Hace un par de semanas tuvimos una noche buena en este restaurante familiar, así el sábado pasado nos convenció amigos no ir a la ciudad, pero para caminar por la calle con nosotros. Había reservado mesa y pedimos cualquier excepción del frente del horno abierto. "Bien" dijo el dulce sonar camarera" le daré una mesa junto a la puerta". Cuando llegamos a las 8 sólo había una mesa libre. . . . . . . . . . El uno delante del horno. "no está en el libro mismo camarera sonriente", dijo dulce, dos veces, mientras la señora mayor (directora? ) intentó convencerme de nosotros no era demasiado caliente. No hay disculpa, asiento o mientras esperábamos.

We had dinner at this busy, authentic Italian restaurant, and were very pleased with the experience. We enjoyed the calves' liver, and a very tasty pizza, followed by an excellent apple crumble and ice cream. We had booked a table - just as well; the restaurant was full while we were there.

Visited here with a fairly large group July '18. I've not visited since the new ownership and I was blown away by the appearance, the food and the service. Nothing was too much trouble and everything we had was absolutely delicious. We'll be back!

We had dinner here with friends. The service was slow, but with take away food leaving by the minute, The liver when served was cold as were the vegetables.

We had Pizza and Pasta , great glass of Merlot , super service , manager very attentive , great experience highly recommend

Llevé a mi madre a este restaurante. Gran decoración pero pésimo servicio y gerente arrogante que nos ignoraron. Comida para pésimo y caro. Muy decepcionado. Pizza estaba quemada y sin mucho de lo que pedí. En general, me alegré de salir de allí. Mi día de la madre fue arruinado por esta actitud pretencioso. No molestes capacitación la ayuda correctamente en jow para servir el vino. Obviamente mal manejo.

I had a pizza. It was worse than pizza pilgrims, better than pizza express. My friend had pasta, she did not finish it. The dessert was not that tasty either. The two of us did not finish a slice of cake. The final bill was high.

This restaurant is fantastic. We stumbled across 'That's Amore' by chance and what a great find! Really lovely food which is reasonably priced as well. Professional and friendly staff with a great atmosphere. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Generous portions and very tasty food. Restaurant is under new, friendly management and they seem to still be finding their feet. They were slow to bring out drinks and gave us an extra apple juice. They also forgot one of the main meals but this was perhaps a blessing in disguise as the food portions were so large, we had more than enough food to go around. Lastly, they claim to not have fresh chilis to add to the pizzas but there were a few red chilis in one of the starter dishes; this would have been much nicer than dried crushed chilis. Hopeful that service will improve over the next few months and will revisit soon. Good luck.

We had previously visited this Italian local and was very disappointed

Been to this restaurant on numerous occasions but tonight was a real let down, will not return. Pizza dry and unbeatable, roast potatoes cold and soggy. When asked if the meal was ok I stated no we have had better nights the response was o ok!!

Returned after a few months and was bowled over. Either sold or new management with money invested. Upgraded: new crocs, cutlery, tables, cloths, decoration, staff. Food quality still excellent, staff still excellent, a genuine old style Italian restaurant boasting wood oven for pizzas and solid menu. Feeling like a regular I give myself permission for 3 niggles, take-away delivery people constantly clomping through, this is a growing problem in restaurants and needs sorting, perhaps they should wait outside and food is taken to them. Bread should be complimentary and on the table, especially when diners are having large plates of starters and should be real bread not defrosted sliced muck. I asked for small dish of pasta with my liver and was charged £7.50 + service = £8.25 this is way too much and does not reflect cost + profit. These are niggles, otherwise this restaurant is excellent and much smarter and more professional.

The restaurant is now under new management. There is a classic yet modern feel to both the restaurant and the updated menu.

Amable educado bienvenida, pequeño restaurante agradable, buen menú, fácil de charlar y vibrante se oyó, la comida caliente, abundante y muy sabroso y yo diría que muy tradiotional comida italiana. Tres campos bien espaciadas. Sin duda, volveremos. . . Tuve el mejor de todos los tiempos.

Este restaurante fue tomada por la nueva administración hace dos meses. La comida y la presentación son, en mi opinión, incluso mejor que antes. La presentación de la comida era muy buena, el personal muy agradable y los precios justos.

Came here last night for dinner and was very satisfied. Ordered pizza for mains which was huge in size and very tasty. Would certainly come here again and will order pasta next time.

We have been already last year few times at the restaurant, but this time was the greatest one: first, the restaurant has completely change atmosphere, which make you feel more comfortable during the stay, second the staff in brand new, which has brought a better quality standards of service. Last the food has been amazing and delicious as always, with lovely plating presentation and incredible taste. We will consider it more times as we live near and this last time was exceptional. What a lovely little restaurant this is. We were recommended to try here after looking for somewhere that did a nice traditional wood oven pizza and I'm so glad we did. Food was delicious and the service impeccable. I'm not sure if it was the manager who was serving us today but he was warm and welcoming from the moment we entered, making us and our children feel like special guests! There was also a lady waitress who was very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. The food was lovely, especially the Nutella crumble!!!! Atmosphere of the restaurant was very traditional with a huge wood fired oven which kept the place lovely and warm, very homely. Menu had many dishes to choose from and the portions were very generous. We will definitely be back and i recommend if you love your pizza and Italian dishes as much as we do, you try it to!!!

Potete trovare una ottima pizza cucinata nel grande forno che troneggia in mezzo al locale. L'ambiente é tranquillo e il personale amichevole ma non invadente. Una ottima pizza come la si trova in una buona pizzeria italiana ed un ottima scelta per una cena in zona di Golders Green.

I was really satisfied and happy to listen the suggestion of one of my friend which advise me to give the place another chance after the last disappointing time. We have noticed a completely different atmosphere from last time, with excellent customer service and amazing food. The restaurant has been renewed and the environment let you feel much more comfortable. The change of direction, team and ideas has brought much more vitality and quality from both kitchen and floor. Looking forward to come back soon.

I been there for a meal with some friends last night, I had fantastic Lobster tagliolini,some of my friends had very nice pizza.

In an area that could quite easily be called a culinary dessert this little restaurant is a bit of a find! We started with some very nicely cooked calamari and zucchini plus a plate of grilled vegetables then followed with excellent pizza and panacotta to finish. The wine list is small but our bottle of Dolcetto was extremely good. The meal was reasonably priced. We found the service is relaxed and friendly.

The service was warm and friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. We had a margarita pizza and a pasta dish with pesto and both dishes were equally exceptional!

Food was pretty good but left utterly disappointed by ridiculously bad (non-existent) service. At east one dish didn’t arrive for each course - leaving one of the group eating after the rest of us had finished. It wasn’t once......3 courses, 3 missing dishes, delivered at least 10mins after the rest of the table had theirs!! Not even a hint of an apology from Manager or staff. Plus the front door doesn’t shut so the whole restaurant was cold and irritated. Suggest summer only, and then only if you’ve got plenty of time to waste.

Visited this restaurant yesterday. Terrible service. Pizza cam started eating and found a 3cm screw!!!!! The manager was very slow coming, did offer a replacement meal but did not have time and felt uneasy eating anything else!!! My daughter and sister in law still had not received their soup 10 minutes after our pizza came - it said minestrone - no minestrone in it just vegetables. Attitude terrible as a small business owner I would offered all our meals on the house, oh know bill came kindly took off service and cost of my pizza.What a pity had no remorse or shock at what happened to my meal!

We were four for lunch and ordered 2 minestrone soups with garlic bread and 2 pizzas. The pizzas arrived - but not the soup - so the pizza eaters started before they got cold. And lo and behold. There was a massive one inch long screw mixed in with the ingredients. The manager didn't bother to come over to apologise, just shrugged and told us he had been told about it. My minestrone was really just a vegetable soup. The garlic bread never arrived. I have passed this place many times as we are local - and thought yes - give it a try. But guess what. I wont be trying to eat here again. The service was appalling and the attention to our distress was minimum. I guess they wanted to keep us quiet.
