Was disappointed for our night out on a Saturday First we had to ask can we order some drinks Food was ok but the pasta dish I had which was chicken and chorizo it was hunt the chicken very minute pieces in the dish the Seabass had very little on the plate and expensive for what it was. Ordered a bottle of wine for the table which came unopened and we had to ask the girl can we have it opened then brought us a cork screw for just to do it till we said please open it for us. No atmosphere and only 3 tables had dinners on them

Lovely staff, very attentive. Food was delicious and fresh, we both had pasta dishes and they were freshly cooked to order. First visit and would go back

Followed this restaurant on facebook for a few weeks & called in on the off chance at 5.15pm on a Saturday. We hadn’t booked but managed to grab the last available table. Service was welcoming & venue clean, although basic in appearance. Food however was fantastic. Fresh, hot, well presented & tasty. Food priced on par with other restaurants & we didn’t think it was particularly over expensive. Our first visit, but we can’t wait to go again. Highly recommended.

I have never been given its local to me. On the positive the food is really nice and staff friendly. I found it disappointing to see I could only choose a 2 course meal or 3 course meal and could not just choose a main on it's own. This was because they brought out their Christmas menu. If I knew that I wouldn't have dined there as it is too expensive for what it was.

Food was absolutely gorgeous, we shared the penne romana and the al pollo pizza followed by the cheesecake, can definitely recommend. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely evening. Will be going back soon!!

We visited early evening as a family unit for a meal having previously mainly had take aways from the restaurant. The decor is fairly basic and the seating while stained was clean and comfortable unfortunately doesn’t create a good initial impression. We ordered our drinks and food and the starters arrived in reasonable time and were all excellent. The main courses, clearly all freshly prepared to order, followed shortly and were all really tasty and first class. We will certainly revisit on the basis the food is well presented and is genuinely high quality and served at very competitive prices by current standards. A place to go for good Italian food at a very reasonable price.

Visited last week on a Friday night. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. The only thing I found odd was people getting turned away on a Friday night at 8pm. There is no atmosphere in the restaurant which is a shame as we fully enjoyed the food.

seat bases were filthy, covered in stains , waitress was clueless , offered a drink , then had to ask for another rather than being asked , it took 45 minutes for the starter to arrive then another 45 minutes for the main course The restaurant was only 1/3 full so I cant see why service was so slow , if the food was fantastic you'd ignore the slow service but it wasn't , wouldn't go again

Excellent meal, really good value, staff very pleasant and friendly. Food freshly cooked. Only had takeaways in the past but really enjoyed eating in the restaurant for a change.

Three of us ordered sea bass on a bed of roasted vegetables from the Specials board. We waited nearly an hour for our meals to arrive. We were all shocked at the small portion of fish and complained to the chef who just shrugged and said "we get them in a bag and they are all a portion size". Enough for a baby or small child perhaps ! We all thought £20 per head was scandalous.

Not visited for a while but so glad to be back. Food as fantastic as ever and wonderful service. A little gem of a place with great atmosphere 😁

We visited here on a Wednesday evening 6 of us as family came down to visit, I can’t believe I have never been to this place with it being so local to us, the service was amazing they went beyond to make us feel welcome and keep our child entertained, The staff even went to shop to get my son some sprinkles for his ice cream (which is his favourite). Now the food was amazing!! Each meal was delicious and hot, I will definitely be recommend this place to family friends, what. Ventured out to our local Italian which I'd not been to for a long time. The family wasn't disappointed everything was excellent highly recommended.

Thought we’d make our maiden voyage into the world of eat out to help out on a Monday night. We picked this fabulous trattoria in Penketh where the food is plentiful, tasty and served by very friendly staff. They let the juniors of the party make their own pizza which is always a nice touch. We had a mixture of steak dishes off the specials board and regulation pasta and pizza off the main menu. All amazing as was the garlic bread to start and if you go the profiteroles are a choux-in for dessert. Excellent value for a family of 5 especially with the national debt chipping in 40 rips ! Heartily recommended. PsIt’s a compact and bijou establishment but the COVID-19 regulations are well respected.

Lovely little restaurant!! Very limited seating here so I definitely recommend booking ahead or going at a slightly less busy time than peak time! We have been here for a couple of occasions as my fiancees grand parents love close by! Never been disappointed, the food really is lovely and there’s a nice atmosphere too. Getting a decent pizza take away that isn’t salty or makes you feel bad is very hard where I live but you can always rely on Delgado’s. I have eaten in and had take away from here several times and have never been disappointed. Great communication with Julie from making my order, update call to go and collect and upon collection with good social distancing instructions. The food was amazing as always and the profiteroles are to die for. It’s great that I have this amazing independent Italian restaurant on my door step. Thank you Delgado’s for being open. We will be back for your amazing food.

Only realised Delgados were offering takeaway and home delivery after reading a Warrington Guardian article. Ordered pizza on Saturday night and was very impressed with the service, from telephone conversation to delivery. Added extra special touch was message written on pizza box about NHS heroes. Enjoyed a really tasty meal at home yesterday, delivered promptly and with courtesy by Delgados. A nice treat when its not possible to go out to eat, and really good to know that a local business is able to carry on during the pandemic closures.

It is very refreshing to come to a place where each meal is prepared from scratch, no microwaves, an open kitchen the chef can be seen preparing the meals from freshly prepared ingredients, service is friendly cheerful everyone is made to feel special and any special diet is individually catered for. We have been to Delgado's many times and have always received top class service and great quality food. Most recently due to the Covid 19 situation, Delgado's have changed and adapted to provide a home delivery and collection service which is well organised and professional, we recently had a home delivery Pizza which was outstanding.

My partner was the lucky winner of the new Gnocchi Pesto Dish and it was simply splendid. This place is just amazing and so are the staff, nothing is too much trouble and especially during these difficult times they are supplying the local community wirh top notch food delivered to your door.

First take away meal of the lockdown. The food was hot, delicious and delivered with a smile. Thank you Delgados.

When going to a restaurant is off limits, the next, very best thing , is them coming to you.If hot, delicious, freshly prepared pizza and pasta dishes delivered to your door (the cheery wave is an added bonus) is what you are looking for, then stop looking, as this is the place for you.Can’t thank the staff enough. Order was confirmed, then reconfirmed by phone. They really are providing an excellent level of service and quality of food, at a difficult time.

First time visit to Delgados for Valentines. Great welcome from Julie the host and a great meal which was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and lots of people where obviously regulars which speaks highly about the quality of the food. We will definitely be going back

A friendly welcome was followed by a lovely dinning experience. This place is small but perfectly formed and offers that personal touch. It you like Italian then you cannot go wrong, I had the creamy pasta which was delicious. There are a lot of regular clients who keep coming back here, it not hard to wonder why.

Second visit in 5 weeks. It’s an hour drive but worth every minute. You walk in to a warm and friendly smile from co-owner Julie and straight away you feel welcome.

Visited Delgados once again and like every previous visit enjoyed fantastic food. Great choice of freshly cooked pastas and pizzas. There are always superb specials such as sea bass and meat dishes. The steaks, with accompanying sauces, are out of this world. Fine choice of desserts for those with a sweet tooth. Julie is a most engaging hostess. Her husband beavers away in the open kitchen preparing and cooking the food whilst the friendly staff ensure that your drinks are topped up and everything is in order.

Me and my boyfriend had our very first date here 2 years ago. We love this place so much and we come back every year to celebrate our anniversary. Staff are brilliant, very friendly and always make you feel like you are the only people there. They make a big fuss of us everytime we go, whether we are celebrating our anniversary or just getting a pizza.

Went to Delgado on Saturday night for for a family get together. The staff were very attentive and friendly the food was excellent. Being a small restaurant you get a very personal experience. Would I recommend this restaurant definitely it's a little gem.

I've been visiting Delgados now for over 10 years. Whether it be with a wife or girlfriend, your family or your friends - they cater to and for all. The hostess is friendly, the chef's are timely and the service impeccable. Delgados is as much a part of Penketh as I feel. In summary, a lovely venue with excellent food!

Pizzas are brilliant. Ribs are brilliant. Staff are brilliant. A restaurant that me and my friends regularly visit and I’m already looking forward to the next one.

We booked a table for 4 people.

We booked a table for 14 people for my daughters 10th birthday 7 adults and 7 children. We informed the owner julie that one adult and one child wouldn't be able to make it due to a death in the family. She replied very rudely that things happen and we should have contacted the restaurant before arriving, I explained that we had only just received the news and that we understood that we would loose our £10 deposit for 1 adult. For the rest of the evening she made us feel very unwelcome and everything seemed to be a problem. Her attitude was actually shocking, very condescending and rude! she would come and wait on our table and then walk away to the other members of staff and be seen and heard ranting about our table. Other than that the food was lovely and the other members off staff were great but will definitely not return.

We booked for our son’s 4th Birthday Party and had a wonderful meal and night. Everyone made the birthday really special with the kids pizza making was a highlight. All the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Visited on Saturday night after a recommendation from friends. We were made to feel very welcome, the food was excellent, staff were very friendly and the place had a really nice atmosphere. Good for families too. I'm certain we'll be back to this little find. We even bought a jar of honey which came from the chefs beehive!

It obviously takes a lot of care and effort to keep a small Italian place like this going in the corner of the Square in Penketh. If the food, atmosphere and service wasn't up to scratch it would be gone very quickly. We came here for our daughter's birthday on a Thursday evening and were pleasantly surprised at how busy it was, even though it was early evening; a really nice ambience. Messaged ahead about my fussy eating (gluten-free pescatarian) and got a call to reassure me about the options available. In the end, we all had the GF garlic bread and agreed it was better than many normal varieties we've had. No complaints about the food from anyone - nice pizza, nice pasta and lovely fresh seafood. Not the cheapest, perhaps, but that's the price of having these sort of alternatives to the ubiquitous and rather depressing "2-for-1 Pub Grub" alternatives nearby. Long may they prosper.

We and some friends went to delgardos for a great meal last Friday . The service as always was brilliant . And the food was love ! If you want itliain it's the place to go.

Lovely family run Italian restaurant which felt very personal and like you were in their front room. Female owner who served very friendly and excellent with kids. Young male waiter and chef/owner also very helpful and friendly. Knew our orders by name as pre ordered from party menu. Food came within a reasonable amount of time and cleared away too. Kids got to make their own pizza and really enjoyed this. Food was nice and we also enjoyed the pizza. Wish all staff treated their customers as they do here. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Worth a visit. Thank you.

Have been visiting Delgados regularly for 12 months now and the standards of food and service have never dropped below excellent. The chef is superb with a varied menu and good daily specials. The front of house team are always welcoming and knowledgeable regarding the dishes on offer. Would highly recommend a visit.

We arrived at the restaurant this evening and had tried to contact the restaurant without success for 2 whole weeks - when booking we was unable to book with anything less that 2 weeks notice.

Visiting family in Warrington, I was taken to this small, family run restaurant. We received a lovely welcome from the front of house waitress and though the restaurant was busy, the service was excellent. The food was freshly cooked and my calamari starter was the best I have ever had. I had a very generous sized carbonara for my main course which was delicious. My daughter had white chocolate profiteroles for dessert which neither of us had ever heard of, but which she absolutely loved! This restaurant is a hidden gem and if you ever find yourself in Warrington, I urge you to try it.

I love going to this eatery, it's a family run restaurant, the food is cooked fresh, the kitchen is open so you can see everything that is being cooked and have a conversation with the owner chef, front of house is the other owner, she is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for her, I highly recommend.
