Our favourite place to be in Warrington 😍

Really loved this place and thank you for deboning my lemon sole. We had lunch as a 5 and will go back next time I am up in Warrington. Plus I have to thank the staff for allowing me to sit and wait for my guests just before official opening - appreciated.

Had a great afternoon with friends. Service was absolutely brilliant, Al was great. Food was really good too

A delightful restaurant with a paired down menu but good choices still available so what they do, they do well. Would be happy to go back. Staff were engaging and polite.

Nice Restaurant Overall Food - Food was good quality but portions were on the smaller side compared to previous visits. We were happy to be able to order from the normal (adult) menu for our child but she was given a child's portion for a lower price. We all enjoyed our food. Staff - When we entered the bar area there was no staff to be seen, so we started walking up the stairs. As we were half way up the stairs, a member of staff shouted to us, asking if we had a booking in quite a rude tone. Once we were seated in the restaurant our waitress was lovely, helpful and polite. She was attentive to our table and patient with our daughter who likes to order by herself. Atmosphere - The decoration and lighting made for a really calm environment and it was good to be able to see the chef's cooking in the kitchen as your food was being made.

Lovely setting, restaurant is beautiful. Food was ok but not amazing. Waitress knocked my drink all over me, which was an accident but no replacement drink was offered or brought to me, which was disappointing

Great place to meet up with friends and dine out. Food was perfect and atmosphere is great. Wasn't a busy night as it was Wednesday evening. Bar service a little slow could be more attentive. Food service perfect. Coffee upstairs on the roof terrace was a disappointment to be shown up there and told can't have coffee as machine was closed and being cleaned and it wasn't even 10pm and they were open till much later. Friends asked for a manager and that didn't appear then we were told oops yes you can have coffee now. There was lots of customers that were still dining that would probably be wanting a coffee like us after their meals. Was a bit bizarre that the young lad said it was closed and tried to sell us cocktails when we were driving, then he returned to say yes we can 5.mins later. Other than that was a lovely experience

Oh wow what a fabulous night from walking in to leaving.My daughters 21st was just perfect.Visited last night 8 of us never been before will definitely be bk.Food was delicious ..service exceptional lady and a young gentleman looked after us.Beautiful cocktails to start.what a fabulous example of how it should be done well done

Very nice inside the dining area and staff attentive. Good prices for lunch and early dinner. Chose calamari and prawn linguini from dinner menu, my wife cabonara from main menu. So disappointed with food quality. Calamari fried and dried up. Nearly uneatable. Prawns very tasty but pasta too salty. My wife's cabonara even saltier. Was paying the full price and service charge but waitress deducted the cabonara because my wife said it was salty when asked. Nice touch. Would try it again at a different time, maybe when it's busier.

The service here was fantastic, the staff really were professional and friendly.

The food was ok but nothing to really shout about. We went as a group and were placed over three tables which were separated so we couldn't talk to everyone there. One long table would have been better. The service was ok, but the food was good but nothing special. The arancini was very dry.

Easy reservation and a great choice of food options. The atmosphere in this restaurant is a gem! Had a great time here and would recommend it for any dinner arrangements!

It was excellent, from going in, until we left. The £5 lunch offer was excellent too.

Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans! The menu was extensive but could only find 2 meals that seemed over priced for what they were so we left.

Absolutely gorgeous food. The carbonara is so delicious.

Had a lovely lunch here, the food and drinks were very good. The service was outstanding, the surroundings and atmosphere excellent. Definitely one of the best places eat in Warrington. Highly recommended.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here, food was amazing as always and service staff were brilliant. Will be going again soon and recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thanks for making our night very special.

Visited around 4/5 times now, first few times were great but recently we have been left disappointed, mainly because of staff, the food has always been nice. The female Italian looking manager who wears glasses is honestly one of the rudest person I have come across in a restaurant. She is unwelcoming and she is the main reason I will not be spending my money here again. I’d rather spend my money somewhere where I’m felt welcome and get good customer service.

I would live here if I could The food is always awesome no matter what you pick.

**A Disastrous 50th Birthday Celebration** We visited this restaurant to celebrate a 50th birthday, expecting a special evening, but unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. From start to finish, we felt ignored and unimportant, and the evening was utterly ruined. Firstly, we had to wait *two hours* for our food. During that time, we had to help ourselves to menus at the table as no one came to attend to us. People who arrived well after us were served their meals while we sat waiting, baffled and increasingly frustrated. We were informed the “kitchen was overwhelmed”. My parents, who are in their 80s, were appalled at the service—or lack thereof. Watching them sit there hungry and uncomfortable was heartbreaking. It was rubbish. Our waiter, Stevie, was lovely and did his best and was apologetic, but it was really unfair that he was left to deal with this mess on his own. Where was the management? Nobody came to apologise or offer any real explanation for the unacceptable delay. Or at least give us some bread?!! By the time the main courses finally arrived, it was almost 10.30 pm, and any enjoyment of the evening was long gone. Although the food itself was good, it was far too late for us to appreciate it. After our meal, we were given a bottle of Prosecco as an apology, but none of us even drink Prosecco so it was barely touched! It would have been far more considerate to offer a drink of our choice, at the very least. And then a plate of cakes and a sparkler. It felt very much like an after thought and the staff started to make a fuss right before we got the bill! We brought a birthday cake with us, but by the time we’d finished our mains, my parents just wanted to go home—they were exhausted, and the evening was completely ruined. We had to negotiate hard to have our bill reduced but really, we’d rather have paid in full, left a tip and had a memorable evening. If your kitchen can’t cope with that many customers, don’t take so many bookings and don’t take their money and leave them feeling so fed up. This was meant to be a special family occasion, but it ended up being a massive disappointment. For a restaurant to treat its guests with such disregard, especially on such an important night, is completely unacceptable. We won’t be returning.

Birthday lunch..... perfect. Couldn't believe the price reduction through January. Didn't know until we arrived. Service, food and drink faultless. Looking forward to going back very soon. We'll try the terrace next time.

The atmosphere, venue, and service were good, but the food was not so much. I had a Turkey dinner. The Turkey seemed like it came from the pre packed stuff you can get. The veg was almost non-existent, and the stuffing again seemed to be pre packed and then heated up, ready to serve. The roast potatoes were the only decent things on my plate. For 55 quid a head, I expect better from a meal. Honestly, I cook a better roast than that. The lady who served us was pleasant and on the ball, so no complaints there. Obviously it's a really nice place inside. It just seemed to me like they ply you with alcohol so you don't notice/care how crap the food is. I wouldn't recommend Purley on that.

Went for Christmas dinner absolutely disgusting for the money don't bother going no vegetables hardly any food and no atmosphere. Cost a 120 pounds each person would have better off gone to the Toby carvery .

Rude staff member on the front when you walk in not friendly or helpful in anyway shape or form. Then to be hit with astronomical prices £62 for 4 rum and cokes was beyond a joke

We went for lunch today. It was very cold, the bar charlies bar downstairs was not prepared deliveries were being made and nobody was around for a good 10 minutes despite our reservation. When the girl did come down she was lovely and she saw us to our table. The young man who took our order for drinks was very nice. We got our drinks quite qickly but waited a good half hour before anyone took our food order and it took another another at least 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Two of us ate off the lunch menu one of us ate of the al 'a' carte menu. The ravioli which we have had before and loved was horrible the sauce was awful. The other two meals were ok not the usual standard. No body checked if everything was ok with our meals. We got our bill and went down stairs to have a drink and after 20 minutes no one came so we got a cab home. In the past the service and food and the atmosphere have been so amazing today we were left wanting. Wont be back.

Excellent food, service and environment. It's quite a posh restaurant and it's expected to be slightly expensive but the main meal itself is still around the £25 mark, so it's alright. Certainly recommended.

Food was a bit "hit n miss". Plenty of choice with great sounding dishes but fell short on taste and value for money. Service was also the same. Some good parts while some was below par. Best part the building and decor. With Cocktail bar downstairs and large open plan restaurant upstairs with kitchen open to view along one wall. Was noisy with music though. Would go back epically if attending the Parr Hall for a show. With hopes it would be better.

1st time dining here and not disappointed. First thing that hits you is the fabulous grandeur of the building. Staff are very attentive and friendly, they were knowledgeable of the menu and able to give advice. The food was superb. Met up with an old friend, we had lots to catch up on. We were not rushed to vacate our table after eating (a refreshing change), we carried on drinking and chatting. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Lovely location, my pasta was swamped in oil though so wouldn't recommend the Fennel Sausage. My wife's Short Rib pasta was delicious though and the staff were great

We came here for our wedding meal. Although might not be the typical thing they would host here the team was super accommodating to us and amazing from reserving the tables to the day itself. The service all round was amazing couldn’t have done it any better consistently checking in with our tables and making sure drinks were topped up. Food was spectacular and all our guest were complimentary of the food and drinks. Thank you so so much for everything :)

Stunning restaurant in a beautiful building. It was a Sunday night so a little bit quiet but I can imagine it would be a great atmosphere on a busy Saturday night and especially with live music. The staff were polite, helpful and attentive and the food was delivered quickly even though they said we'd have to wait a bit longer for one of the dishes. Finally, the food itself was absolutely delicious and hit the spot perfectly. Would definitely recommend and will be back

Love this restaurant ! Literally best pizzas in the North west Uk. Reasonable prices and relatively efficient service . I always go for beef carpaccio and a seafood pizza. They are just yum ! Pizza is so garlicky xx Dont think any other restaurants have it elsewhere in the area ! Highly recommend it !

Went for lunch, and we were disappointed ! Lunchtime menu pizza was bigger than it need to be with very little topping, all dough no topping. Also note that most dishes for the £7.95 price required an additional £4 to include chicken, thus a not so reasonable price. Staff were friendly and professional as always and atmosphere good but lunchtime menu distinctly poor !

We had the Sunday roasts. Choice of three. Chicken, beef, or pork. We had one of each. Our favourite was beef. Weakest was chicken. Good portion size. Large but not too large. Selection of beer okay but nothing on tap. Wine selection good. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Prices are higher than local average. Lovely building. Recommended.

Absolutely a gem in Warrington!

Went to eat at San Lorenzo tonight with my son and everything about the meal was superb. We met the owner who said hello and arranged a great table. The waitress could not have been more attentive and the food was delicious. We both had cod which was super fresh, and as good as we have eaten anywhere. I would recommend San Lorenzo to anyone whether it is a special occasion or not. I wish more restaurants were like this - I am from knutsford, where the prices are higher, and the experience is nowhere near as good.

Absolutely delicious food and the service was fantastic. We visited on a rather warm night and it was very hot in the restaurant.

Always great to eat at San Lorenzo. Sunday lunch delicious. Staff very friendly. Can get a little noisy because of the building but today was quiet, very unusual. Good value for such good food. Would highly recommend.

Average food with small choice and no conditioner on the shop floor. Staff were nice and friendly but it doesn't help when the restaurant itself is so dated and cannot regulate a temperature.

Walked in early on a beautiful summer evening. Usually, you'd have to book for the Terrace, but we got lucky. The service was, as always, excellent. Delicious food (we ordered too much, so took some home) and the husband then spoilt himself with a cigar and brandy. Thank you a great evening.

I love this place for both its bar area and restaurant. The food is always fabulous and served to you by the most excellent staff with a smile as big as the plate your food is being served on.

Second time I’ve booked this restaurant on a Saturday and second time I’ve not eaten here. Had a table booked for 5.30pm for me and wife my friend decided to come so changed the table to 4 people earlier in the day but was told I would have to move my 5.30 booking to 6pm which was fine, upon arrival I was told I’d have to eat in the bar area not sure why, told manager he got the girl I spoke to on the phone who Blatantly Lied to my face in front of her manager and said she told me on phone that I would be sat in the bar area which 💯 didn’t get said the fact I told them I would wait until a table Becomes available but was told there won’t be absolute joke of a place the food might be really good but unfortunately I’ve not had Chance to try it staff was extremely Rude and tell blatant lies to customers. Manager was completely useless while experience was embarrassing.

The staff at San Lorenzo are incredibly professional and attentive. Always a wonderful experience for dining. However, a mature family member recently had a health scare at the restaurant and the staff went above and beyond to help her. Just wanted to say a massive thank you, especially to the restaurant manager; you and your staff were brilliant, thank you so much.

The arrabiata was outstanding, but unfortunately the spaghetti bolonese was poor, It tasted of pork fat which was sickly and caused my wife to be very ill overnight. Three visits to the toilet

W had booked for Fathers day in the smoking lounge, after asking if there was any age restriction, no reply regarding if there was, but one about having a good day. Turned up, could not get in with our 11 year old...... so what now, fathers day and no places anywhere upstairs. We made the best of it down stairs with a limited menu. Service was excellent from front of house. Food was good, but not excellent,.

Luxury Italian food for low price

What a beautiful restaurant!!!! Food was excellent and service very professional. The price reflects all the aspects of the restaurant.

The building and dining environment with the open kitchen and vaulted ceiling add to the atmosphere here. Food is good and well priced, service is spot on. They have some good lunch and pre-theatre offers. We opted for a starter of Pate and a Caesar Salad, mains of Mixed Shellfish Platter and Rigatoni Agnello from the main menu, followed by Pistachio Profiteroles, which was a huge portion that I struggled to finish and an Affogato dessert.

Went to San Lorenzo to celebrate a family members birthday. The feel of the downstairs bar was great! The bar service was quick with a great range of drinks. Only downside… the drinks price £10 for a double spirit and mixer is a bit pricey especially with today’s climate. For reference surrounding bars were charging £6-8 for the same drink. The staff serving food were lovely, minus one woman who was so abrupt and rude but that’s by-the-by. Food wise I ordered a Bruscetta to start. I received one small toasted price of bread topped with tomatoes, no garlic, olive oil or balsamic vinegar to jazz it up and not even a basil leaf. I’m not a chef so not sure how it’s MEANT to be served but everyone ive ordered elsewhere comes a bit fancier. The tomatoes had no flavour what so ever. For my main course I ordered the Lobster Ravioli, this was INCREDIBLE! Although a small portion it was delicious and tasted very fresh (would recommend). Overall the venue was clean, service was quick but the starter and drinks prices let it down. That being said I would still recommend this venue for a nice evening meal but maybe not a special occasion.

I came to have my lunch as I have seen many good reviews and heard about the lunch deal they have on. I was quite disappointed about my carbonara as it was swimming in oil..

I had chicken milanese with tomato pasta, which looked and tasted like spaghetti out of a tin. The chicken was ok. Garlic bread had no taste

Food and service impeccable, atmosphere disappointing. Me and my husband don't go out often, got really dressed up for a nice meal. The food was outstanding, the service was faultless, but a dress code would have been appreciated. I was sat near a child with no clothes on and others who looked like they were going to the gym. Maybe I'm old-fashioned.

4 of us went for a meal.Could not fault the service very attentive and the food was lovely.

While it's not the first time we've been here this is the first time I've left a review because the whole experience was sensational. Staff couldn’t have been kinder! We needed wheelchair access as well as a last minute table on a busy Friday night - everything was accommodated, we felt so welcome. Service was friendly, efficient and professional - and our food was delicious. Great value for kids meals. And the building is beautiful too!

Came in for lunch and had the Capri pizza as part of the lunch deals which was absolutely delicious and great value. Lovely atmosphere and excellent service as well.
