The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

We used to come here years ago, and even ordered delivery during lockdown, and loved it. Went last night and honestly feel robbed of £80. Lasagne, carbonara and pizza - all very bland, far from authentic Italian tasting (and my other half is Italian). The carbonara may as well have been a dish of heated cream, it tasted like nothing but cream! Really, really disappointed. Will not be returning and it was so bad that I will be telling my friends to warn them away from wasting their money!

My first visit last night . The staff was very accommodating. Lovey cosy environment and the food was second to none . My new favourite Italian. It was nice to actually go to an Italian that tasted Italian. I will be returning

Me and my partner visited this restaurant after my work colleague told me about it and we went a week later and I must say it is a beautiful place to eat and the staff are really nice and helpful.we will be going on a regular basis..

Really nice place to dine. I could have eaten a little more (I was hungry) but I'm not going to knock any stars off for that.

Was saddened to see some negative reviews, we have been several times before & always loved it so booked a table for 2 to celebrate my birthday. Did not dissapoint, excellent food, attentive & polite service & a really lovely meal. Thank you .... we will be back, again.

Had an amazing meal at Di Sopra earlier this week. After having our booking cancelled by another restaurant, Di Sopra were amazing and able to fit us in without a reservation. The food was to die for and very reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Alnwick.

Went for a late lunch with friends, it was very busy as it was a Saturday afternoon. Food was lovely from the pasta to the pizza & the desserts we fully enjoyed. Staff were nice & we will be back

Fresh, tasty food with quick service and a cozy vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it the perfect spot for both casual dining and celebrations. Highly recommended!

We visited on Saturday evening and pre booked. The restaurant is lovely inside, and the menu has lots of choices, and as a vegetarian, I was spoilt. The service was excellent and food was first class. We would definitely recommend and return. The lady was very good when we went to leave a tip and she pointed out its a 12.5 % service charge.

I went for mix grill and wos very tasty and good proportion, im a big lad and struggling to eat all .good experience again ,definitely i will be back . Great sérvice and good price

Great service and great food, picked this place at random the first night of a two night stay and were not disappointed. Staff looked after us well without being over attentive. The food was well presented and more importantly well prepared and very tasty. My wife chose the minute steak and was not disappointed. We enjoyed the experience so much we went back on the second night as well! Thank you all at the Aqua Brasserie for two nights of great food and fab cocktails!
