Cibo Italian Eatery in Bolton

4 of us enjoyed an evening dinner, each choosing different meals. Following my belief that the true test of any kitchen is how well basic dishes are created, I chose linguini in bolognaise sauce. Perfection. Those eating with me enjoyed their choice of dishes. Suggestion from my wife, who shared a starter with me: an option for smaller portions for mains would be appreciated. Well organised and extremely pleasant front of house team, did the kitchen team proud.

Had the Sunday lunch offer, the food is great, ribs are amazing and the steak piccante was incredible, will definitely return!

Popped in for a lunchtime pizza. Staff are lovely and the pizza was fantastic.

The first time at this restaurant with friends the food was good but after ordering coffee we were told that our time was up! We did not no that there was a time limit if we had seen this clearly in the email we would not have gone. If we had wanted fast food we would have gone to Mc Donald's. Not a good experience

We've been a couple of times now for the Sunday offer. Quality of food is excellent, quick service and at a great price. I suggest you don't eat all day prior to going as we were stuffed by the end of it. Trying breakfast/brunch tomorrow so hopefully this will be just as good.

Average this visit, service good, Peroni lager now getting highly expensive, food, calzone pizza no sauce on as in picture, poor amount of content, friend with us had pizza = left half of it, way to thin and over cooked. Overall, very expensive for average food, I may visit one more time and if like this visit, then no more!

Whenever I miss Italia and it's food I visit Cibo in Orleans. Authentic Italian food, ambiance and sibling Italian owners! Add an Italian music station on the radio....tutti amore!

Unreal place, came to visit my friend who lives close by who suggested we eat here, whenever I try a new pizza place I always like to just for for the margarita pizza and grab a small dip. Was not disappointed the pizza was cooked perfectly and perfect size for an evening takeaway. Highly recommend do not miss this place.

If I could rate this restaurant any higher I would. My son took me as a treat last evening and its the best italian I've eaten in a very long time. The staff are very welcoming, attentive and polite. The chefs made the food taste superb. We left feeling full and content. Well done Cibo, we highly reccommend trying this place 5+++++++++++++++++

Local resident but first Cibo takeaway experience. Ordered a couple of pizzas and spicy wings. When I arrived the order was ready on time which was great. Once home the pizzas weren’t sliced, I get in the restaurant they present pizzas to the table unsliced, but would be nice if they sliced takeaway orders. Pizzas were meh, on par with any other pizza takeaway. Spicy Chicken wings were dire, they somehow managed to produce a wing that had slimy skin and really dry meat inside, sauce was not spicy at all and more of bland goo. Wouldn’t visit again, Cugini in Edgworth is far superior on the pizza and wing front, and cheaper.

Our first visit to Cibo today , we very much enjoyed . Lovely restaurant nice to see food being cooked . We had a garlic bread to share , Mum had Penne with chicken mushrooms in white wine sauce , we both had linguine pescatorie seafood both delicious , staff all very good , will definitely return maybe in evening next time

I had the fillet steak and cheese sauce, it was very tasty, and cooked to perfection. The Mrs had the beef kebab and she said it was amazing. Will definitely visit again 👌

Dined here a couple of times with friends because it was recommended numerous times. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised at just how many tables have been fit into a relatively small space without it feeling too cramped. Due to it's small size I would highly recommend booking ahead. The menu has enough variety without being overwhelming. I had the deep fired brie & my partner had the garlic mushrooms to start and both were delicious! For our main courses I had carbonara & my partner had meatballs, again both delicious. I do want to make a special mention of the carbonara though because it was probably the best I have ever had! Everything was reasonably priced and the staff were welcoming and polite. Unfortunately, I can't give a rating higher than a three because despite polite staff, everything just takes forever to happen. You can sat around waiting for your order to be taken or for your bill to come for ages. In summary, it is a nice place to go just make sure you aren't in a rush!

We came back for the second time and it was a great pleasure to find this restaurant. We found a warm and intimate atmosphere with impeccable service. The pizzas are very good and always have the traditional English touch of spice 😁. We will come back.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. One minor thing. Garlic bread wasn't very garlicy and slightly burnt, but that wouldn't stop us returning.

We ended up here by chance and can't believe our luck... absolutely amazing food in a lovely restaurant with a nice chilled, cosy atmosphere. The servers were very polite and friendly, but the bill could not be faulted. Will definately recommend and will be back very soon...

We've dined here 3 times over the last 4 weeks & every aspect has been great. So, if you want delicious Italian food, in a clean & cosy bistro, served & helped by friendly, polite & skilful staff........ it's a no-brainer!

This is prob our favourite restaurant - the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and lively - been here loads of times and each time the food has been wonderful - the restaurant is immaculately clean my only juggle would be its not that large so tables are quite near each other and it does sometimes get warm in there - but the food and ambience is so fantastic - you honestly feel like you are dining out in Italy - would I go again? - most def YES - Love it

This was a last-minute booking and although they were busy they were able to fit us in. It has a menu that you would expect with a good range of Italian dishes. Food was served promptly and well presented. The mixed salad which was served as a side order was much better than the average 'few green leaves' often masquerading under this title. All round, definitely somewhere to stop at in this convenient location.

A good varied menu, and recommend studying the specials sheet too. Food was very good, starters came almost too quickly, but I really enjoyed the baked goats cheese. I had the Risotto Carne, good and spicy, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their choices. I love good Chianti but some can be a bit thin, certainly not true of the Lodolaio Chianti Classico I ordered, delicious

Took my daughter for a meal tonight here. First time. Everything was fantastic from the gentleman who booked us in, to the friendly waitress who was fantastic and then the quality chefs, who were also great with my little girl. Will 100% be back. Superb food.

Hadn't been here for a good while but won't leave it as long before we return. Had a truly excellent lunch in this cosy bistro - delicious food, beautifully presented, piping hot, complemented by great service from friendly staff. Good pricing too. Well worth a visit 10/10.

Fabulous food as always, slightly mortified at the drinks price. I understand profit is to be made yet I think £7 for a Kopperberg bottle (when we all are fully aware of the average commercial price) is not the best customer service, other drink prices were not as extortionate but still quite eyebrow raising. A shame.

Lovely restraunt and staff. The food was delicious and came within 15 minutes of us ordering it. The food is a great price and the drinks are too. Would 100% recommend.

Nice food .. not much atmosphere New Year’s Eve lunchtime. The experience was spoiled by extortionate prices for drinks 🤨 Fruit shoot ( child) £2.95 Soda water. £ 2.00 Peroni ( small bottle) £6.95 😬😲 Won’t be going again!!

Delicious breakfast frittata with friends

Great place to eat. Cozy and friendly. The staff were on hand to see if you needed anything and as we left the chefs looked to us as if to say 'What did you think?'. They really cared about that they prepared and served. I had Lobster Ravioli and it was sublime. Yes yes YES!!!

We visited as a large party for the dinner deal which is £21.95 , starter , mains & dessert , it’s very good value . We all enjoyed all the food . Starters aren’t massive portions but it’s 3 courses . What I very disappointing since my last visit is the increase in Drinks £7 peroni pint , small glass of wine £7.50 , tiny bottle of Prosecco £11 . So if I go again I’ll stick with soft drinks

Very limited gluten free food. The man said I could order but without the bread! Difficult with pate and still pay full price. 😢 The do gf pasta but although requested when booked the don’t do garlic bread or pizza. As more people with food allergies I thought they would be more able to adapt. It’s nothing to buy gf and freeze until required. They charged £30 for beef stroganoff which I found rather expensive. Just really disappointed 😢

Called on spec they fit us in no problem service was good. Food came quickly and was very tasty. Prices fair beer slightly expensive but the wine was really nice and beer peroni so hey ho.

Anniversary meal with Brother and Sister in law, service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious, although only small restaurant experience was excellent and will definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Italian cuisine.

The Sunday / Monday deal was really fabulous value. Saying that, they must reclaim some of that money back on the drinks prices - £6.95 for a pint of shandy, £8.50 for a large glass of house wine etc etc. Some recent reviews mention being rushed, but we weren’t. Quite the contrary, in fact. The meal was very enjoyable - the only observation being that one of the courses was quite salty. Would return.

CIBO is always a delightful place to visit and it is difficult to fault in any way. The choice, preparation and delivery of all dishes is exactly as it should be, the staff are all pleasant and helpful at all times and the background sound of Italian accents from the kitchen adds to the pleasures. It is often totally packed-out and it can get very loud with the chatter of happy diners and many renditions of Happy Birthday 🎈 so be prepared 🥳 PS I'll take some pics next time

We went for a bite on a Monday lunchtime, it was pretty busy which is normally a good sign. The service was excellent and the food was tasty, I just had a lite Sandwich but it was filling and reasonably priced. My colleagues had linguini and ceasar salad and they both enjoyed it. Will visit again when I am in the area 😁

This is an authentic Italian restaurant, there hard to find these days . The food had lots of flavour the pasta was cooked to perfection . The staff were all welcoming too . I'd definitely recommend 👌

Lovely place to eat, friendly staff, good service and an excellent choice on the menu. Decent amount of Veggie options on the menu too. My only criticism would be the Greek salad - which does not resemble a Greek salad in any way other than the Feta cheese. Its just a leafy green salad.

I ordered Parma ham, spicy pizza and the creme brûlée. The Parma ham and the pizza were pretty good but the brûlée wasn’t the best, needed a little more vanilla and the texture was a bit off. Service could of been a bit better but other than that it was good
