Veeno in Stratford-on-Avon

What an amazing evening we had a Veeno! We booked the Finest Italian Wine Review and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Elllie was great with her knowledge of Italian wines on show and their history. The platter complemented every wine so well. Andre the manager was also a great laugh. We will be back!

We had a wonderful wine tasting for two, which included a huge sharing platter and delicious tiramisu for dessert. The staff (Juan and Ellie) were fantastic at telling us about the 6 wines we tasted and which food would compliment each. I was treated to the Trip to Sicily wine tasting with friends. A lovely experience with 6 great wines, paired with some delicious food, and knowledgeable guided through by Matty.

The food and wine were excellent. I can't say as much for the service. Initially very good, but we hate it when you are given the bill and then you wait for them to come. We waited and waited in the end I left the cash and left.

Asked twice quite quickly if we were ready to order. When we were ready we ordered soup to start, to be told they didn't have any. And they didn't have any fries for burger meals. Would have been helpful to tell us that before. The menu says food will come together, so starter and mains came at the same time. No room on the table and the main was going cold by the time the starter was eaten. Pasta very Al dente.

A lovely date afternoon with my husband -a trip to Sicily with extra bruschetta and cocktails. Please Veenos pay Ellie and the chef whose name I have forgotten the £10 each extra for good service because it was excellent and I don’t have a google email account.

Lovely meal, table, atmosphere and surroundings, good value. Two lovely members of staff looked after us, Ellie and Abby, couldn't do enough for us.

Great for a bottle of wine and sharing food with friends. Visited for a second time in as many weeks. Servizio favoloso! It makes such a difference helpful and knowledgeable service with a genuine smile from the lovely Morgana. The lady who brought the board also lovely. The recommendation of Grillo Bio was spot on. We had a fantastic time with drinks which had a deal on with an amazing nibbles board that came with it. David looked after us and was helpful and chatty and made our evening brilliant.

It’s a real shame that you feel the need to charge £7.50 for a pint of Peroni. The venue is lovely but this is such an insult. You wouldn’t pay that for a pint in London.
