Very nice food and staff very helpful

We went to celebrate my granddaughter’s 12th birthday. The restaurant was full to capacity and this impacted on the service. We had to ask to place our order after sitting with our drinks for 20 minutes. The food took ages to arrive but was the same high quality we are used to at Da Sandro’s. We had to ask to order desserts and these arrived without cutlery. The coffee my son ordered never arrived and we gave up on it in the end. Nobody seemed remotely interested in asking if we wanted a bill so we just got up. The waitress had a look of panic on her face and seemed to be updating the bill as we walked across the restaurant. We had to explain to the cashier where we had been sitting so we could leave. The staff were friendly but clearly inexperienced and over-whelmed with the task at hand. This was very disappointing after so many good experiences in the past.

The place is great but, and it’s a big but:- We got there at 11-45, we were early for food but sat and had a drink. The girls were very pleasant. 1 - there web site should be updated. £6-95 for buffet it’s now £12-95 very misleading! 2 - the plates were cold 3 - the food was warm and we had watched it come out, nowhere near hot enough. This could have been compounded by putting it on cold plates. 4 - coffee was lukewarm mentioned it to the girl but no replacement. This is just a warning to anyone thinking that they will get a meal for £7 good job we had taken more money. 3 people, 2 soft drinks, 1 wine, 3 coffees and 3 buffets approx £60.

Sin embargo, notamos que la calificación de Higiene estaba pegada en el vidrio cuando ingresó. LLEVA UNA CLASIFICACIÓN DE HIGIENE 1 DE 5. He trabajado en catering durante más de 20 años en la cocina. Un puntaje de 1 no es solo un mal día o mala suerte. Debe haber algo SERIAmente incorrecto / descuidado para obtener eso. Al borde de la comida cruda y la comida cocinada estar juntos. No hay agua corriente. 1 DE 5 es un peligro grave para la salud. Estoy agradecido de haberlo visto y también agradecido de que ningún niño o anciano pudiera haber estado en nuestra fiesta. Mi tienda local de Kebab tiene 4 de 5 estrellas. No me creas, mira por la ventana que con orgullo lo muestran. El Missus luego notó trampas para ratas de RENTAKILL en todo el perímetro del edificio. Los contenedores en la parte trasera también eran absolutamente asquerosos. Uno estaba a medio camino en el aparcamiento con la tapa abierta.

Visited many times before lockdown. Decided to visit after an afternoon show at the Grand. This visit very poor. 4 of us.1 Starter of bread took 45 minutes to arrive. Mains 90 minutes. Asked what was happening. Short staffed. The Take Away people were in and out of the door whilst we were sat there twiddling our thumbs. Food was ok when it arrived. The waitress was apologetic and sorted a bottle of wine on the house. Sorry guys but that’s the last time we will be visiting.

Been a few times and enjoyed it but tonight food very average , my pasta and my sister in law poor Atmosphere flat and then observed supervisor reprimanding all table staff and then having words with one of ladies on team and she in tears This is not what customers on a night out need to see, very poor Would not go back

We went with friends on Friday afternoon to celebrate my birthday. The actual restaurant is in the process of being refurbished so at the moment they are using the function room at the back of the hotel, but it was very pleasant and welcoming. Because the weather was so nice however we decided to eat outside on the veranda. The menu had changed since the last time we visited and was probably more limited than normal, but that is understandable in the present circumstances. Everything we ordered was excellent and the service was second to none. I would particularly like to thank our waitress Madeline, who was very friendly and helpful, in fact she went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. All in all a very pleasant afternoon and we will definitely return once the restaurant reopens.

Ordered Parma ham and mushroom pizza to collect Saturday evening. The meat had an ‘off’ taste. It was very oily with far too much cheese and oregano. The base was soggy and chewy. Rang and gave feed back and was kindly asked feted a replacement without the ham. Sadly, it was just as disappointing so we couldn’t eat it.

Just been with friends again and never disappointed service and food always great will recommend anytime !

When we arrived it was a third full, but half the empty tables were dirty, covered in used plates and glassware. The glasses on our table were dirty along with the glass I was given with a drink, on asking for a clean glass I was told there weren’t any clean glasses in the restaurant! Two front of house staff spent the hour we were there chatting and ignoring the tables that needed clearing and the customers. One of the starters was cold as it had visibly been sat on the side for all the time it took to make the second. Parmesan was brought to the table in a pot with old encrusted food on. Waited 15 minutes after main course for anyone to come over as they were busy chatting. Gave up on ordering dessert as everything was taking an inordinate time. Very, very, disappointing.

Pizzas are very hit and miss, often there’s far too much purée on the base which is all you can taste. If the guy with the curly hair, who I think is the owner is working they’re ok, otherwise they’re bloody awful, he needs to teach the other guys how it’s done!

Order pizza approx 5:45 pm with pickup time 18:30. Picked up the pizza approx 18:15 when received message ready to collect. Got home 5 mins later and then pizza was cold. They had obviously cooked the pizza early and it had been sitting around. Godawful.
