The best restaurants serving Italian food in Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

Very overpriced canteen food. I wanted a really good bowl of pasta, but what I received was a tasteless watery mush. Very little seasoning and nobody dared come over to check on me. From entering the restaurant I must have been waited on by at least five different members of staff on a two course lunch. Every detail and every item was brought by somebody new. I had ordered the pasta Bolognese but had requested the up sold Mafaldine pasta rather than the ordinary spaghetti. I didn't receive this but I also wasn't charged for it, so I accept it as an honest mistake, and not something on its own I would make an issue from. My order arrived far faster than it takes to cook Spaghetti, and the spaghetti was over cooked and the sauce wouldn't stick to the pasta. I was never offered any cheese or black pepper, and nobody came over to check if everything was ok. I did order a glass of wine to go with my meal, but had nearly finished eating by the time it arrived. All in all just a very disappointing time especially when you consider the cost involved, over £15 just for the pasta alone.

Horrific avoid avoid avoid worst meal and service was terrible. My meal consisted of a few burnt vegetables stuck on a skewer with no rice or sauce when I asked for rice I was served a bowl full of microwaved gooey yellow and green gunk and eventually the sauce arrived which was the same sauce all 3 meals had on our plates!. Absolutely awful and all thet did was knock off the £15.95 price for my poor vegetables!.My sons pizza was uncooked in areas and burnt in others.Run by kids

Absolutely fantastic welcome & honestly the best meal in a long time Starter trio of fish my husband had mushroom with pate . Main chicken Da Sandro & lamb chops ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Sergio & Gianmarco remembered us from another restaurant. Absolutely amazing to see them again & to be looked after so well Lovely waiters very friendly & attentive. The wine was excellent & not overpriced Highly recommend can’t wait to return

Been here many times only just got around to joining tripadvisor to post some reviews. The food is always spot on cannot be beaten in my opinon. Was a little period of adjustment when a ot of the old staff left all at once but I think theyve found their feet again. The staff are all so friendly and seem knowledgable. Our waiter named Alex was attentive and polite. Efficient service from everybody and this place remains a firm family favourite.

Visited many times before lockdown. Decided to visit after an afternoon show at the Grand. This visit very poor. 4 of us.1 Starter of bread took 45 minutes to arrive. Mains 90 minutes. Asked what was happening. Short staffed. The Take Away people were in and out of the door whilst we were sat there twiddling our thumbs. Food was ok when it arrived. The waitress was apologetic and sorted a bottle of wine on the house. Sorry guys but that’s the last time we will be visiting.

No hace mucho tiempo, mi novia y yo creíamos una pizza o pasta antes de que la película comenzara en Showcase Cinema. Sin embargo, notamos que la calificación de Higiene estaba pegada en el vidrio cuando ingresó. LLEVA UNA CLASIFICACIÓN DE HIGIENE 1 DE 5. He trabajado en catering durante más de 20 años en la cocina. Un puntaje de 1 no es solo un mal día o mala suerte. Debe haber algo SERIAmente incorrecto / descuidado para obtener eso. Al borde de la comida cruda y la comida cocinada estar juntos. No hay agua corriente. 1 DE 5 es un peligro grave para la salud. Estoy agradecido de haberlo visto y también agradecido de que ningún niño o anciano pudiera haber estado en nuestra fiesta. Mi tienda local de Kebab tiene 4 de 5 estrellas. No me creas, mira por la ventana que con orgullo lo muestran. El Missus luego notó trampas para ratas de RENTAKILL en todo el perímetro del edificio. Los contenedores en la parte trasera también eran absolutamente asquerosos. Uno estaba a medio camino en el aparcamiento con la tapa abierta.

Terrible experience as again we were given a bill that was wrong and the staff were very rood When we question the bill so will never walk in that place again.

We went with friends on Friday afternoon to celebrate my birthday. The actual restaurant is in the process of being refurbished so at the moment they are using the function room at the back of the hotel, but it was very pleasant and welcoming. Because the weather was so nice however we decided to eat outside on the veranda. The menu had changed since the last time we visited and was probably more limited than normal, but that is understandable in the present circumstances. Everything we ordered was excellent and the service was second to none. I would particularly like to thank our waitress Madeline, who was very friendly and helpful, in fact she went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. All in all a very pleasant afternoon and we will definitely return once the restaurant reopens.

Been to Capri many times before and will keep on coming back as the food is just delicious. The service is excellent and the whole dining experience if lovely. Don't think the pictures of the food do them justice – you'll have to try for yourself and you won't be disappointed!

Where do I start these boys really know how to make the best tastiest food in town. Clean fresh and always super hot, their pizzas are amazing specially if zeeshans has made them you will not be disappointed. From the friendly customer service to delicious food it's 5stars all the way

Booked a table for dinner on Mother's day. The restaurant was extremely busy with a large queue outside. The manager said they were just waiting to clear tables and someone who had a reservation 15 minutes before us would be seated first. Fair enough. We were seated at our table and yes it took much longer than normal to be served but all the staff were working extremely hard and were very apologetic. As soon as a table became vacant it was cleaned and another party would be seated.The pizzas were good, the staff were all nice and we got out in time to see our film. Well done guys and thanks for treating elderly mum with kindness.

Fantastic food. Hotshots never fails to deliver on quality and taste! Always a plentiful menu, a good choice for all! We've never encountered a problem. Staff are always on the ball and show the utmost courtesy. They're always on hand to sort and help! We would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking high-quality food at a reasonable price.
