Been to Capri many times before and will keep on coming back as the food is just delicious. The service is excellent and the whole dining experience if lovely. Don't think the pictures of the food do them justice – you'll have to try for yourself and you won't be disappointed!

Very poor service. It took an age to order, the starters and mains were messed up and came out incorrectly. One persons food came 20 minutes later. After 1hr 25 mins the rest of the food came. There was no recognition from the management about this who even told me the 10% service charge on the bill was because the government told them to add it! Shambles. Will not be returning.

Third time dining here and the common theme is great food, but let down by the service. You just don't get that traditional Italian feeling of being "looked after" here. We spent ages waiting for someone to take a drinks order, ages for the drinks to come (two were forgotten), ages for the food order, ages for the bill and ages for the payment. Feels like I spent most of my night twisting my neck trying to catch a waiters eye!

Outstanding as always. Great food and service. Sergio and the team do a great job. Not many places better than this. Top job!

My friend booked us a meal here for her birthday. Food was great and came quickly. Drinks were really nice too. However we asked for water 4 times and it never came. My friend went to the bar to fetch it herself to which staff got annoyed. The main problem was our table was booked at 5.45 and at 6.50 we were approached by staff and asked to leave as they had another booking at 7… (we’re never told this when we booked or sat down) so we had 1 hour 15 mins here… only managed to have 1 drink and a main meal. We wanted more drinks and desert but were never asked or seen to again. I raised this concern with multiple staff members and never received an apology until I finally spoke to the manager, he made no effort to rectify the problem and said there was nothing he can do as we were already leaving… until he finally understood that we were asked to leave because they had another booking he finally offered to give us a voucher, this was kind but took far too long to reach this point. This was a very poor experience and such a shame as it was a birthday celebration. Turfing people out after 1 hour 15, because you can’t manage your bookings is severely unfair. Wouldn’t rush back to be treated like that again.

We have visited this restaurant before and had a lovely experience. Last night however was very disappointing meaning we will not visit again! The food was below average and for such a high cost we didn’t get what we were expecting. We asked for water at the table, a dessert menu and to make it special for my daughters birthday, none of theses were given,every other group in the restaurant were made a fuss and sang happy birthday etc but ours was forgotten. The only good experience was the barman we didn’t get his name but he made a fuss of my granddaughter making her a special drink at the bar. I think this restaurant needs to review it’s costing and service!

Had a 30th birthday meal booked for a group of 18 nearly 2 months in advance. Was told this could be accommodated only to arrive and find out we had been split over 2 tables in the corner. I understand this is a bigger party then normal however I have not had an issue at any other restaurant and felt giving notice would mean the staff would ensure there was a table for us all to be together.Was not very happy about this as didn’t end up feeling like a family meal at all. Should have been made aware of this over the phone at time of booking as would not have booked if known we would be split up. The area we were sat in as soon as you come in was cold and dark. We did ask for the windows to be shut but as it was next to the main entrance you could feel the draft as people came in. We did complain to the manager to be told we are fully booked we cannot move you however this should have been thought about at the time of accepting my booking. It does feel there is a lot of empty space and tables spread. Surely knowing 2 months in advance you could have pushed tables together to create a big enough table to accommodate? The manager did give us 4 free garlic bread pizzas as a goodwill which we appreciated. The food was okay but nothing special and is not on par with the original capri at the vine. We were served by younger staff throughout the evening and cannot fault them. I didn’t catch their names but they kept regularly checking in on us and ensuring we constantly had drinks.

We visited on Wednesday 4th September for a family birthday, just 4 of us but we had a very enjoyable evening. Restaurant was pretty busy with quite a large group in celebrating a 100th birthday, plus a fair few others. We all had a starter and main, I had the mozzarella carroza which was gorgeous and others had the prawns. Mains were sirloin steak, chicken stuffed with cheese then wrapped in parma ham with peppercorn sauce (beautiful), calzone pizza and quattra staggione pizza. We all really enjoyed our food and will definitely go again. The service was great, friendly and humorous, the restaurant itself was lovely - all good!

Amazing food and great service. We called in yesterday afternoon for a birthday treat and we were not disappointed. The food was plentiful and delicious. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble.

Three visits in two weeks all fabulous ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Date night with my husband. Then our son visited from abroad & last night an early birthday celebration. All the staff are brilliant I won’t name them incase I miss out but the staff are superb. Lovely cocktails & food . Can’t wait for next week when I visit with my friends 🍹⭐️💝

Do not go for Sunday dinner If you enjoy a good roast, starters not too bad my prawn cocktail was nice - although pate just out the fridge and freezing so couldn’t be spread just average. The meat was like deli meat, what I call school dinner meat thin and seemed to have been boiled really Bizzaire and fatty! my mum and husband had the lamb which was cooked the same and sliced thin and they said had a funny taste. Soggy veg and some not so loved chopped roast potatoes. Really disappointing as the other food coming out looked lovley. The lady staff seemed really nice though very kind and sweet and attentive. We was too nice to say to her it was horrible as it’s not her fault I’d just advice Italian food and avoid the Sunday dinner.

Went for Sunday dinner terrible the beef and lamb seemed like it had been boiled rubbering with a awful taste reminded me of meat off a deli counter sliced 4 half roast pototes which were new pototes and veg was was hardly owt like the little bags of mixed carrot n green beans when I say 3 slices of carrot and a Yorkshire pudding gravy was tasteless never in my life had such a horrible Sunday dinner and yet I have had a few evening meals in the wakefield one and food been fabulous so maybe stick to Italian and avoid Sunday lunch 😢

Literally the worst service and food. Speak to women like second class citizens. Gets orders wrong and don’t admit liability them, make feeble excuses with no apologies. £31 for food no better than the local kebab shop. Don’t waste your money !
