Had a lovely impromptu pizza in this place with my fiance and 20 month old. Helped by the weather, but the views from the terrace out the back accompanied by a nice cold Menabrea and a lovely thin base pizza each made for a perfect combination. Great location, great food.

This is a great restaurant tucked away on Wendron Street (best booking) as is open 6.30pm to 8.30pm. My wife, 12 year old son and I went again this summer. The waitress is very friendly, will go through the menu and recommend dishes and the atmosphere is authentic. The menu is full of original dishes - pastas, pizzas, seafood and chicken etc. Would thoroughly recommend Giuseppes - the food is delicious and you dont wait long.

Such a shame. Sunday roasts started so well. Now not only has the price gone but the portions are smaller. Not just the meat but the amount of vegetables. We used to come out feeling full but the last 2 times we left wanting more. Still extremely well cooked but disappointing portion size (large and small options). If only Elements hadn't started off so well!

We really enjoyed our Dinner. It was during the week with three choices to start and for the main course. Beautifully cooked using fresh and local fare.

It’s worth browsing the reviews of Embers before placing an order—not because they’re wildly inconsistent, but because a clear pattern emerges. And it’s not one the place seems eager to correct. There are, to be fair, plenty of people who’ve had a good experience. When it works, it works, artisan bases, decent toppings, the kind of pizza that scratches the right itch. But what stands out, time and again, is the front of house. Not rude exactly, but distinctly uninterested, as though they’re doing you a favour by taking your takeaway order. And the hour-long wait for three pizzas? Apparently fine. Normal, even. What tips that from forgivable to frustrating is what happens when something goes wrong. One of our pizzas was supposed to come with a soft-boiled egg. It arrived with no egg at all. After returning to point it out, the pizza was taken back, only to re-emerge minutes later with a refrigerated hard-boiled egg dumped on top. Stone cold. By that point, so was the pizza. When I mentioned it, the response was a casual “That’s the best we can do.” No apology, no fix, no sense that anyone cared. And that, really, is the issue. Not the mistake, but the indifference. So yes, plenty of people enjoy Embers when all goes to plan. But if it doesn’t, don’t expect much in the way of care or correction. Just a cold egg on a cold pizza—and a shrug.

We pre booked this restaurant in advance for the half term holiday 2024. I got an email confirmation of the booking and a further email reminder which I confirmed as requested. On the evening we travel 5 miles to the restaurant to find it closed with no explanation on the door, website or social media. Communication with this restaurant is very poor

Recently visited on our holiday. Great food, really tasty and served promptly. Even a picky daughter was happy. Highly recommend.

After years of visiting St Ives, I can’t believe we’d never been to Peppers Pasta & Pizzeria until this week — and now it’s our new favourite. We loved it so much, we went twice in two days, including our final night (which we always save for the best meal of the trip). The staff were brilliant — friendly, fast, and worked together like a well-oiled machine. They made a real effort with our kids, were very accommodating, and got their meals out quickly, which made a big difference. Definitely one of the most child-friendly restaurants we’ve visited. I had the ribeye steak, and it was cooked perfectly — genuinely one of the best I’ve had. For starters, we tried something called Pop Pop Pollo — absolutely insane in the best way. So much flavour! The food across the board was fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced. The kids had pasta on day one, then pizza on day two, and loved both. My wife had pasta both times and was equally impressed — no complaints from any of us. We’ll 100% be back next year — and we won’t wait so long to go in. Peppers has gone straight to the top of our St Ives list. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful family meal at the Bridge to celebrate my parents 45th wedding anniversary. There was nothing that was too much trouble for our fantastic host, Fabio, who looked after us throughout. The food was excellent from starter to desert, the wine was superb too. Everything was reshly prepared, full of flavour and of the highest quality. I noted that some other reviews have complained about the pace or attentiveness of service; but for us the whole evening was a delight in winding back, relaxing, talking to each other and soaking in the experience. The night was capped off with some complimentary limoncello to celebrate the family celebration. We will certainly be back for more.
