Peppers Pasta & Pizzeria in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Absolutely wonderful place. Went for the first time last night with a big group - 6 adults, 6 children. Everyone at Peppers was so friendly, great service, they were great with the children, very patient and accommodating and always had a smile. The food was delicious, hand on heart the best pasta dish (med veg tagliatelle) I have eaten out in years, possibly ever. And sounds like a tiny detail, but the side salad was dressed making a massive difference. Thank you, when we return to St Ives we will definitely be back. Oh my word and the dough balls!

We have eaten here many times in the past but this week although we only planned the one meal we returned several times. The food has leapt up to a different level. Good portions well presented and very flavoursome. The service was attentive and very friendly. A call out to Jude who went out his way to make us feel welcome but honestly all staff deserve credit. Thoroughly recommend Peppers to anyone wanting a good meal in St Ives.

Steak was cooked perfectly and truly was a medium rare. The two lads I was with had pasta dishes and both said it was some of the best pasta they had. That huge thing is a starter garlic bread too! Great value for money.

Really delicious food and service was spot on. Highly recommended and would be the first restaurant on my list next time I'm in St. Ives.

Had a great atmosphere and music the staff were brilliant, pleasant, helpful and precise. The food was excellent I had the bolegnaise and my company had various pizzas, all cooked perfectly and delicious, cocktails and drinks were served swiftly and tasted great. Well worth the money and well worth a visit if you want an escape from the traditional fish and chips most places serve daily in town.

The food was excellent. The service, was also excellent, very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back again.

We visit St Ives twice a year and every time we make a visit to peppers, we have never been disappointed with our food, it is always well cooked and tasty. The service is great, the staff are polite and friendly. We will continue to visit as we always have a great evening.

Always make a point of booking a table at Peppers when in St Ives, our venue of choice for many years. Our latest visit did not disappoint! Food service and value for money all excellent!

We have been visiting St Ives for many years and never been to peppers. I’m not sure why because we had the most gorgeous meal here. The food was beautiful, lovely ambiance and attentive staff. We will definitely return next year.

Fantastic place ! Don't be put off by the Pub style fascia, ( I was initially) it's lovely inside and the staff are incredible! Food ( big portions!) Is exceptional value compared to other places in St Ives and I'll definitely be back ! ( thankyou to the two waiting staff that were on tonight- that did everything they could to ensure everyone was happy- be very proud of yourselves)

Great time. Lovely food. Price point as expected. Staff very hospitable and attentive. Does get very busy and is a very "cosy environment" regarding space wise. Access is via steep set of stairs from ground level..... so not for everyone (would not recommend for people with mobility issues/ very small children or people who do not like busy environments) but for everyone else a really friendly atmosphere with plenty going on around you and great for a group or couples.

We've been going to Peppers for a few years now, and we've never had a bad meal from them. The food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. As it is quite a popular restaurant, it does get a bit busy, so booking in advance is probably a good idea.

The place was crowded and we took it as a sign of a popular place with decent food. It was very loud and difficult to have a conversation between us. The pizza was soggy and tasted like the dough was prefabricated. The pasta was overflowing with sauce and didn’t taste much.

Visited this great restaurant a few weeks ago when staying in Cornwall, coming from Northamptonshire. Only just remembered I wanted to leave a quick comment. The food and atmosphere were both fantastic as stated in every review... but I specifically wanted to mention how hard the staff work here. Even though the place was packed out when we visited, they managed to squeeze us in at the bar and all of them were extremely accommodating, attentive and kind, while having to deal with so many other customers at the same time, with other people constantly turning up. They just worked flat out and they all did it with a smile. So this is just some recognition for that, which they all thoroughly deserve. They are fantastic assets to the business and I sincerely wish them all the best.

Called in late evening without a booking and managed to get a table at this busy and fab restaurant- great atmosphere, it was buzzing when we arrived and we felt immediately relaxed. Service was excellent, friendly, efficient and helpful. Lovely Italian food which was reasonably priced and good portion sizes. And the Tiramisu was exceptional, pudding lovers save room for this! All washed down with a really well chilled bottle of Pinot- perfect. Had a chat with the manager at the end who was absolutely lovely and it’s clear he has really elevated the service and food/wine offering here. We are trying to squeeze in another visit with the family before we leave!

Dropped in on the off chance and we were fortunate enough to get one of the last two tables just before 6pm. Everyone after us who hadn’t booked was turned away, so definitely book if you want to eat here. Service was faultless. Super impressed with the young front of house staff for their calm and efficient service in a very busy restaurant. Food was amazing, served in huge portions. We shared an arancini starter which was perfect. Beloved had a carbonara which he pronounced to be extremely enjoyable. I had the seafood pasta bake after initially asking for seafood linguine but being told that the mussels and prawns were both served shell on and I’m lazy! Surprised to find two huge chunks of garlic bread with my pasta bake. All was delicious but far too much for me. Added bonus was to find a Grillo on the wine menu, one of my favourite wines! Thank you very much we’ll definitely be back!

Two visits in one week - both perfect. The first was a life-saver following a hasty exit from a nearby seafood eatery, the second was as a result of the first flawless experience. Menu is varied but not too extensive, which means that both pasta and pizza can be executed well time after time. Try the beef linguine! And the lasagne! Great team and excellent food - if we weren’t travelling home at the weekend we’d go back to complete the hat trick!!

We visited here twice in one week because it was so nice. Great vibe, fantastic food and amazing staff… they’re a real credit to the owner and it was really appreciated how they treated us like individuals, as it must be quite tiring dealing with tourists all day long! If we didn’t live an 8 hour drive away we would be back much sooner but as it is we’ll just have to wait a year!

The food was outstanding the lasagna was cooked to perfection and the carbonara was delicious. The pizza went down a treat with my little one she devoured her pizza. The portion size was really good with an array of food drink options available. It was certainly a welcome break from fish, chips and pasties 😁

Had our best meal of our st Ives holiday tonight! Great service, but the pizzas and the prawn and crab pasta bake were incredible. So tasty, especially the unique crispy duck pizza. Would definitely highly recommend!!

During our holiday in St Ives, we ate here and really enjoyed our experience. Both the food and service were great! The menu was perfect for our family of four.

Quality food, good service and a nice friendly enviroment

We went here as a family for a meal out on our holidays. We had booked in advance as it does get busy. We arrived slightly early (15 minutes) but our table was ready so we sat down. We ordered some "nibbles" and drinks to start. Dough balls, cheesy garlic bread and fresh bread with oil. All of it was really tasty and fresh - delicious. The mains came promptly and were piping hot. I had the Carbonara which was really nice. My son had the Bolognese which he said was the "nicest one he's ever had" All the food was lovely. Service was very prompt and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to others - but make sure you book plenty of time in advance!

This is a nice casual Italian restaurant. We went because there were some vegetarian options available. Just found the food a little greasy and average tasting. For example the bruschetta is famously a very fresh dish but here it was unfortunately loaded with oil and just didn’t taste as fresh as we’d hoped. The service was super quick and friendly!

Lovely place. Our waitress was really helpful and got the chef to make me an off-menu vegan pizza which was absolutely delicious.

We decided to visit this restaurant as we were in St Ives for the week. The tables and chairs were comfortable, and the interior was cosy. The service was quick and the staff were friendly as well! My mum and dad were very impressed with their food, and I was happy with my pizza.

Very friendly and attentive service, although we had to wait a good half hour for our pizzas - even though the restaurant wasn't full. The food was good, the price was bearable.

Returning customer after 2 years! This place is so memorable and though the menu has changed, the team were super sweet to make a pasta which we tasted 2 years ago! We will return every time we are in St Ives for sure 👌🏻

Brilliant experience. Booking online was very straightforward. Staff were very helpful and rapid in service, friendly and chatty. Food was brilliant, we did dough balls and olives for starters. You could see dough balls were made in a wood fire oven, just lovely. I had pizza my partner had linguine, neither of us could fault the food, had brownie and sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was also very good. No complaints whatsoever would return!

Ate their twice whilst on holiday late July 2024 - first time food was acceptable - had a decent pizza - the wife had mussels and she said they were good. The second time the food was no where near as good and it felt like a food factory - get you in rush food to the table , take your money and get you out for the next diner. The waitress was tutting because we weren't eating quick enough. The main course was a tin of chopped tomatoes poured over pasta - no flavour and under seasoned - would not recommend

Pop in for lunch on 16/7/24 food was so nice had the meatballs. bacon sandwich. Side salad. Chip . Lovely staff very friendly A,+++++

What a golden find. Just off the main streets and worth a visit. Greeted by the Manager, who has such an excellent manor and his attitude towards the running of the restaurant and the way he dealt with customers was refreshing. The food was excellent, Pop Pop Chicken and Garlic Prawns to Start, plus Bolognase and Cajun Chicken Tagliatelle were large portions and worthwhile. Thsnj you fir a fabulous lunch today.

Found this place by chance and had the best meal of our holiday here.would definately recommend it, the crab and prawn pasta bake was amazing and my partner had the seafood linguine which he said was best he had ever tasted.staff very friendly and quick service.cant wait to go back again.

A lovely little Italian in the heart of St. Ives. A warm welcome from all the staff and our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was cracking, amazing pizza, lovely fish pie and seafood pasta. The tiramisu was stunning as well. Highly recommended 🍕

We popped in here for lunch on our way up the lane to the Hepworth Museum. The manager was absolutely delightful and had recently opened up for lunches. We had the most delicious, well priced food we had experienced for a very long time. Steak sandwich and mussels ,both with the St Ives bakery sourdough. Exceptional food and exceptional value with great,friendly service. Would highly recommend. Jacki

amazing italian restaurant with a huge menu!! we had an amazing experience the first time, seafood linguine and pizza were gorgeous and so delicious that we went a second time before getting the train back home. sadly there was some issue with the pizza oven which led to us waiting 1.5hrs with no food only to be told that we might need to pick something else on the menu. but our server was so lovely, apologized profusely and removed the items off the bill. we ended up getting the food for takeaway instead and had a delicious meal by the beach :) would definitely recommend this place xxx

Hidden gem in plain sight. Great restaurant hidden behind an unassuming door. Excellent olives and bread. Recommend seafood linguine.

Booked very last minute after a three-hour drive and there was zero disappointment! My starter was a beautiful salad, with chicken peanuts and chilli (trust me…. It works!!) My main was the steak and cheese pizza…. Wow! The base was cooked to perfection and the toppings were just incredible! My dessert was the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream 🫠 I will be going back and asking for the recipes. The staff were all amazing from the moment we arrived we felt welcome and well looked after I will certainly go back again!

Wonderful meal at Peppers - would highly recommend. The front of house were very professional and friendly meeting all our needs. The atmosphere was relaxing and warm. Due to a number of food allergies that I have I usually have a limited choice but with the menu at Peppers I was offered a good selection of choices. Super evening! We will definitely return. We popped in as we were looking for a place to eat. We enjoy Italian food and thought it would be a good place to eat. As this is a pasta and pizza we thought it would be a good one to get a pizza but from the get go we were told that they can't serve pizza because they had a big order and it wasn't available. We said okay and thought we can find something on the menu that we can enjoy. For starters I ordered the soup of the day and my partner some cheesy garlic bread. The starters were really good and both enjoyed them. As a main I ordered the seafood linguine and my partner the Cajun chicken tagliatelle. I am sorry to say but the pasta did not look homemade and unfortunately the shrimps from my dish were not devined. The poop sack was still in them and the moussles have not been properly cleaned. They have the beard on some of them. The waiter tried to tell me that is not possible to devine the shrimps if they are cooked shell on but that is no longer true. There are special utensils that allow this now. The sauce of the seafood pasta was acceptable. The service was good. The waiters were polite and apologetic and took of the seafood this from our bill. We do thank them for that but maybe someone in my place would have made a big deal out of this. Just as an advice do purchase the item to help you devine a shrimp.

Absolutely fantastic food, lovely restaurant and friendly staff. The wait for food was a bit long, but was ultimately well worth the wait. We had sirloin steak that was cooked perfectly and the duck pizza was well received, as was the blue cheese and steak pizza. Would highly reccomend to anyone. Definitely on the list to come back to in the future!! 5/5

Great food, great cocktails and amazing service! Had the duck pizza and it was something different but really tasty! The red pepper cocktail was very unique but worked really well! Anyone down in St Ives, I would highly recommend! We had about 4 cocktails each so put the price up (obviously), but everything was very reasonably priced.

I had pizza.the dough very hard and dry very little tomato sauce and cheese i didn't enjoy it at all.I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it.

Visited here on 11th April 2024 whilst staying in Carbis Bay for my daughters birthday. Beautiful food and lovely staff - highly recommend them. Daughter had duck and hoisn pizza - amazing!!! Worth a visit most definitely - really reasonably priced as well.

Lovely little restaurant just off the harbour front. Popped in for early lunch with 2 young children. Staff welcoming and friendly, clean facilities. Opted for pizzas all round, myself choosing the fillet steak topped pizza which didn’t disappoint.

We had the most amazing lunch, from the set lunch menu. It was incredible. We were able to walk in and grab a table, Matty was our waiter and I really cannot fault him. Very polite, gave personal recommendations and was very keen to make sure we had everything we needed. The food cannot be faulted, the chef has worked some magic!

Good food and service value for money given its in the heart of St ives

Found this place as a last minute Mother’s Day lunch option as we hadn’t booked anywhere (down in St Ives for a long weekend) We were so glad we did ! The lovely guy that seated and served us was very friendly, polite and professional and made us feel very welcome. The rustic interior was very fitting for an Italian eatery and the choice of music was excellent. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly and we had a really enjoyable experience. Would definitely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Food was perfect and plentiful. Although very busy we didn't have to wait long and staff were as you'd expect them to be. And the Italian red wine was divine.

This was an overall amazing experience. Firstly, the gentleman serving us was polite, attentive and friendly. He made us feel really welcome and put us at ease immediately. The food was incredible, beautifully presented and it tasted even better. The menu has plenty of variety- you’d struggle not to find something you’d like. We had the crème brûlée for dessert which was really good. I couldn’t finish my main and I was able to take the rest home, no problem. The toilets were also very nice, and well looked after. A strange thing to add perhaps, but a good/bad toilet can make all the difference! Despite having quite a luxurious experience here, the prices are beyond reasonable, and this restaurant is extremely good value for money. We’d 100% return next time we go back to St Ives!

Only 4 stars for atmosphere as it's February and only a half dozen in. Food excellent. I ordered carbonara and forgot I dont like linguine, my fault, but they still deducted something from the bill! Very generous.

We booked quiet last minute for my partners birthday and they managed to squeeze us in at the time we wanted. The food as always in amazing!!! The service again is amazing! The new paint and toilets really make it look so much better however it did look great before! We visit every time we come to Cornwall and will definitely be visiting again soon! Would love to know what green paint you used for the bar?

A hidden gem in St Ives! With so many overpriced and pretentious restaurants in the area it’s so lovely to have found this place. Really good food, fair prices and generous portions. Family friendly, with some of the friendliest hosts and staff around. Laid back, cosy atmosphere and the best tiramisu!

What a fabulous find this place was. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced + the kids menu was exceptional value. Never seen a more impressive portion of dough balls :-))) The service was wonderful - happy, chatty, efficient team. We’ve been to St Ives many times but gutted that we hadn’t been here before. The garlic prawn starter and seafood linguine was superb. Best we’ve had. Food was a little slow but worth the wait and the staff very attentive. Lovely evening with great food.
