Peppers Pasta & Pizzeria in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We had the most amazing lunch, from the set lunch menu. It was incredible. We were able to walk in and grab a table, Matty was our waiter and I really cannot fault him. Very polite, gave personal recommendations and was very keen to make sure we had everything we needed. The food cannot be faulted, the chef has worked some magic!

Found this place as a last minute Mother’s Day lunch option as we hadn’t booked anywhere (down in St Ives for a long weekend) We were so glad we did ! The lovely guy that seated and served us was very friendly, polite and professional and made us feel very welcome. The rustic interior was very fitting for an Italian eatery and the choice of music was excellent. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly and we had a really enjoyable experience. Would definitely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone.

This was an overall amazing experience. Firstly, the gentleman serving us was polite, attentive and friendly. He made us feel really welcome and put us at ease immediately. The food was incredible, beautifully presented and it tasted even better. The menu has plenty of variety- you’d struggle not to find something you’d like. We had the crème brûlée for dessert which was really good. I couldn’t finish my main and I was able to take the rest home, no problem. The toilets were also very nice, and well looked after. A strange thing to add perhaps, but a good/bad toilet can make all the difference! Despite having quite a luxurious experience here, the prices are beyond reasonable, and this restaurant is extremely good value for money. We’d 100% return next time we go back to St Ives!

We booked quiet last minute for my partners birthday and they managed to squeeze us in at the time we wanted. The food as always in amazing!!! The service again is amazing! The new paint and toilets really make it look so much better however it did look great before! We visit every time we come to Cornwall and will definitely be visiting again soon! Would love to know what green paint you used for the bar?

What a fabulous find this place was. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced + the kids menu was exceptional value. Never seen a more impressive portion of dough balls :-))) The service was wonderful - happy, chatty, efficient team. We will definitely be back, and will wholeheartedly recommend to friends visiting St Ives.

We’ve been to St Ives many times but gutted that we hadn’t been here before. The garlic prawn starter and seafood linguine was superb. Best we’ve had. Food was a little slow but worth the wait and the staff very attentive. Lovely evening with great food.

Very slim pizza toppings , no discount for take out , deep fried brie is one Brie wedge for 6.50£. And it took 30 mins for a takeaway order , not acceptable price or time .

This restaurant is tucked away on Fore Street and is an absolute gem. We are repeat customers and always visit when in St Ives. The food is amazing, highly recommend the pizzas especially the Fiorentina. It is reasonably priced overall and has a good choice on the menu. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. If you are lucky enough to get a table on New Years Eve it is the best night you will have, everyone is in fancy dress and the atmosphere is brilliant. Peppers is the best place to eat in St Ives.

So pleased I gave this restaurant a try. Been to St ives many times and passed peppers and never really fancied it. I am a little angry that I passed this by so many times as the meal was brilliant and service was excellent. The restaurant is up a steep flight of stairs and then opens out to a cosy and relaxed. 4 of us dined and we all had something different. The Pizza was really nice and I had the spaghetti meatballs and they were really tasty. Highly recommend and great value also A note to the manager - I went on either 26th or 27th October and our waitress was on her 1st shift and I need to say she was excellent and really friendly. The other guys were also very good and attentive.

We ate here twice during our holiday to St.Ives. There menu was extensive. The food was good as was the service and the prices were reasonable. I recommend that you book at table rather than just turn up as it was busy both times we went.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff are really attentive. This is our second meal here as a family and it really is a little gem. I would recommend the chicken tarragon tagliatelle and the pizzas are first class. Love it!

Visited here today without booking and a young man came over & was very courteous & obliging & got us a table. We ordered food which was very good and good value. I commented to the waiter how I’d noticed he was so busy & he said he had been promoted to Manager & some staff were on holidays so he was short. He is a credit to this restaurant

Just had a takeout pizza x 2 literally just ate the best pizza I have had in a long time served by lovely staff even though they were extremely busy , they fit me in ,

Went in and ordered, a pizza a kids pizza and a garlic bread. Everything we ordered was wrong when we picked it up, luckily we were close by, when we took the kids pizza back and the garlic bread back (couldn’t be bothered for the sake of jalepenos on the main pizza) the were very apologetic and offered a free drink which was a nice touch , but when we got the 2nd pizza (possibly my own fault for not checking) when we got it home, was still wrong and then was also Crucified, almost as if they had just put ham on the original pizza and chucked it in the oven for a bit. We’ve had take away from here before and been good but this time not even close to being any good, there was also people in the restaurant that had to send pizzas back because they were burnt etc. Shame to see a restaurant we previously enjoyed go down hill. Can compliment the one lad behind that was very apologetic and offered a drink as compensation.

Not been here before in many visits to St. Ives, so picked this for a birthday meal. From the start service was “relaxed”. Food was ok. Confit duck was nice. Pasta bake I think was microwaved as it was scalding hot in places but cool...

Service was ok but the food was not good at all. We came because the reviews looked promising, but we were surprised that the food did not live up to the reviews. The pizza was almost inedible and the carbonara was very bland. The wine was served with the bottle already open and incredibly watery (we were suspicious that it was boxed wine decanted into the bottle). The senior front of house lady was very polite and apologetic.

Food might as well have been reheated from a supermarket - my pizza was undercooked and tasted solely of oregano. Wine came opened and was poor for the price. Tiger prawns were the size of atoms. Head of front of house was good and understanding, but rest of staff didn't realise we needed glasses for tap water. Regrettably came across as a tourist trap... And boy were we trapped.

Was in St Ives for 4 nights. We had a meal here on the 1st night. Had to come back a second night. Then we definitely had to come back on our final night. Good atmosphere, very relaxed, good prices and the mussels were fantastic.

First visit to this restaurant and have to say, I'm wondering why I've never been before. Absolutely superb food, fantastic staff and a really welcoming atmosphere. I 100% recommend this place and will most definitely be calling in again when next I St Ives 👍

Four of us visited on a Friday night. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. Goats cheese brushetta was very tasty. Chilli prawn linguine was good and not too hot.Tiramisu excellent too. Will visit again when next in St Ives. Service charge added by default which I don't really like but I paid it.

Absolutely delicious starters- deep fried Brie and garlic pizza bread. Both so tasty and well presented. I decided to have pizza for my main which was ‘create your own’ and very tasty. My husband ordered a fillet steak which came with fries and onion rings (he asked for no salad). Unfortunately this was disappointing. The steak had not been rested before serving so was very dry. The fries and onion rings were burnt. Yes, we should have complained but didn’t. All other food that we saw being served looked lovely so we can only assume the chef did not how how to cook steak. Very disappointing when this cost £28!

We had a fantastic evening, great friendly service and excellent food. Highly recommended if you are in St Ives. Recommend the orange polenta cake and cocktails.

On our second visit, two years later, we encountered a different experience at the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortably warm with poor ventilation. We were seated near the kitchen door, which made a squeaking noise every time it opened. The server who took our order was impolite, displaying a lack of manners and favoring other tables over ours. Despite these issues, the food remained good, and I generally enjoy dining here, but on this occasion, we didn't feel very welcome.

Such a great little restaurant and perhaps a hidden gem in the center of St Ives. We loved our food, the staff were fantastic and it was all very reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend and would definitely visit again next time we stay in St Ives.

Visited this place for dinner this evening, didn’t book so had to wait for a table, the food was absolutely amazing!!,shame the service wasn’t. Waitress came and took our drinks order she then had to check with the bar if they had the right garnishes witch she then forgot so had to wait an extra few minuets food was lovely my partner had the meatballs and I had prawn linguine. My partner ordered a beer witch the waiter forgot again.. so we asked another member of staff and had to get it himself. we over herd the waitress talking to other tables that arrived and did not give me and my partner the service she was giving everyone else. We are here on holiday and really put a downer on our evening. We then asked for the bill before the table that was behind us and they got there’s before us? Now if I’m honest I felt I was treated so differently to the rest of her guests she was looking after We got the bill and left. Will not go back.

Excellent dough balls - better than pizza express! Slightly disappointing bread with prawn cocktail and took a long time to get a replacement option but overall pizza was so good it didn't matter! Great service and handling of bread issue by team too.

Brilliant food and very nice atmosphere

Three of us were booked in for dinner at 9pm. We ordered the cajun chicken, chilli crab linguine, cornish crab & prawn pasta linguine and cheesy garlic bread. The cajun chicken was very nice. The two crab dishes were nice but were felt were a little too fishy. The cheesy garlic bread was very nice and we ended up ordering two portions. A nice atmosphere and good service. Would definitely return if/when we St Ives again.

I walked in to ask for a table and I was sworn at and spoken to disgustingly by a young woman and her friends at the bar, they were obviously friends with one of the servers so it’s not her fault but maybe think about who is hanging around the bar when it’s sposed to be a professional restaurant!

Considering its slap bang in St Ives the value for money it offers is tremendous. Food is excellent and service spot on. Recommended. First time we went it was that good we went back again the same week. ****Edited**** Back again in 2023. Thankfully we booked with plenty of notice which is recommended. Again did not disappoint. My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal here on our recent honeymoon. The food was absolutely delicious. My wife enjoyed the prawn linguine and I ate what was the best lasagne I have ever tasted. Beautiful little restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic, home made, tasty food then 100% book a table! Walk ins are often turned away due to being fully booked so be sure to book before your visit. The staff are all so lovely, seemed like they were family which gives you such a warm welcome and relaxed environment. I ordered the chicken and bacon lasagna.. which I’ve never heard of however it was INCREDIBLE! So tasty, large portion and obviously fresh. As we traveled from Bristol, we can’t visit as much as we’d want but without doubt will be returning when we revisit St Ives.

Great food, waitress a bit moody

Very average food and probably the most disgusting toilet I have ever been in. The garlic prawns were in a watery sauce. I think the fried squid was a frozen prepared made in a factory. The pizza was tasteless

I'm afraid this time wasn't as great as we have had before. Been coming for years on holiday but tonight the meal wasn't as good and got the wrong side order with the 10% charge aswell the experience wasn't as good. Feel deflated I'm afraid.

The decor is authentic old school Italian kitsch , the service is super efficient and very friendly. The food is well presented , freshly cooked and tasty . It’s not high end dining but then it’s not pretending to be . It is what it is and it does it very well . Book ahead as it gets busy . Note that the restaurant is upstairs and accessed by a single flight of stairs . There is no lift .

Very disappointing experience. Very slow service, zero flavour to the food, hard pasta.... taking 'al'dente' to another level. Sad as the current reviews do not represent the disappointment that awaits.

This isn’t Italian food cooked to a standard that country would expect. I’d be surprised if the kitchen has ever seen an Italian chef. My linguine was under cooked, the crab sauce full of shell and served as a flavourless salty paste. The food arrived within less than 5 mins of ordering! If I could give 0 star I would. The staff were polite though which was its only saving. Please don’t come here expecting a good Italian.
