We went as a group - there was only one other table there and that was only 4 people, we struggled to hear each other. The staff turned the music down after being asked but they made a massive racket smashing bottles in the recycling bin behind the bar that was situated within the dining area, it was really horrible to listen to it sat at our table, they seemed to find it funny, one of our group saw one of them laughing about making the loud smashing noises, not sure what that was about….The food was good, fresh and hot, but because of the noise would hesitate to return

Visited on a Tuesday night in November and it was very quiet; although it was raining very heavily! I had a capresse salad to start and the duck breast off the specials board for mains and it was all delicious; the dauphinoise potatoes that came with the duck were divine. Service was very good and the staff very friendly. Prices very reasonable. This was our second visit in 2 years and I would definitely recommend it!

Had pizzas from here before but never any of the main plated dishes. Wow what a surprise. I was not disappointed the food came out fast and delicious. We couldn't decide on a starter so chose 3 to share. Had the duck which was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Dessert of banoffee waffle topped off a perfect evening in a wonderful restaurant I challenge anyone not to love.

Lovely meal here and drinks in the last night of our holiday. Wish we had found it sooner! Perfect starters, tried the soft shell crab and it was lovely. Lots of lovely choices on the specials menu and I had the freshly caught lemon sole and it was delicious. Staff very friendly and reasonably priced for a 3 course meal.

Overall, a reasonably good experience. Only downside was that they cooked the wrong pizza for me, meaning there was a delay whilst they cooked a fresh one and, by the time it arrived, the others had largely eaten theirs. Guests should be eating together, not alone. This aside, though, food was nice and service was good. Wine is expensive vis-a-vis quality.

We booked a table 48 hours ahead of our visit but when we arrived there was some confusion with the name booked and it transpired our booking had not been made when we called! Despite 2 or 3 staff members greeting us there was no apology for the error and we were told to 'Sit here'...The menu was interesting and different from traditional Italian fayre but I stuck with a Napolitana pizza which was nicely loaded and just the right crust for me. Very tasty. The service was average and disappointing but I put this down to the staff being young and not well trained. An enjoyable and reasonably priced Italian meal but not somewhere we would go back to on our next visit to Hayle.

After reading a few dodgy reviews we weren’t sure but gave it a go.Food was brilliant - had the meatball calzone and the Stilton/mushroom pasta with cauli cheese Arancini to start. Quick friendly service - the staff were all very attentive and smiley, lots of effort was made. Ate inside but finished our drinks on the benches by the waterfront which was beautiful. All in all, definitely recommend!

We booked a few days ahead of our meal tonight and were looking forward to a traditional Italian.We chose to sit outside, they have a large covered area, but not all the heaters work and I think the service may suffer from not being inside.The food was actually quite good, we had the soft shell crab and a prawn dish, followed by a pizza and a carbonara. We did also have garlic bread which was very dry and overcooked. We did want the starter from the specials board, but the waitress eventually informed us that it was not available, as was the case with our wine choice.What really let them down was the service. Not that they were rude but, as is increasingly the case, it was almost exclusively staffed by very young girls who clearly aren’t well trained. So, no offer of Parmesan with your pasta, no pepper and we waited 20 mins before we could get someone’s attention to ask for the bill.This is an ok choice for a reasonable Italian meal, but, with a little care, it could be a lot better.

Muita demora em servir e comida crua , sinceramente não entendi qual a razão de tanta demora, estávamos em 5 pessoas mandaram 2 pratos depois de 10 minutos mais 2 é em último depois de 25 minutos o resto! E veio cru! Não adianta ter um bom atendimento sem ter uma boa qualidade, desconto na conta não vai resolver o problema!

Rang up on a Tuesday night on a whim after not managing to get in to eat anywhere else but turned out to be a stroke of luck! The food and drinks were really yummy…just what we needed! Found an Aperol spritz at last(!) Our waitress Josie was so attentive throughout the whole night, keeping us updated on the status of our food, making sure our glasses were never empty etc - the devil is in the detail!!

Fantastic food and service. Our steaks were amazing, full of flavour and very tender. Pasta was also lovely. Service was quick and attentive to all of our needs. But I would recommend an online booking system as there was a mistake with our booking which was corrected to our satisfaction

Overall good experience but definitely some bad factors.The starters were lovely and fresh, but the mains took a while to arrive (it was very busy so not an issue) but when they did we were let down by the carbonara. It wasn’t your traditional style, but very creamy and cheesy, more like a béchamel rather than your normal dish which doesn’t have cream in. The two dishes off the specials looked and tasted amazing however.The biggest issue for me is when we ordered a small glass of wine only to be informed they didn’t sell small so couldn’t do this, only medium or large. Though it wasn’t worth arguing at the time, this is illegal and all establishments must provide small measures of wine. Seems a bit of a worrying practice to not allow small glasses even when requested.All in all the staff were lovely, most of the food was great except for one dish, and we had a good night.

Had poorly planned dinner date with husband on Saturday night, found the Terrace and the staff gratefully fit us in for dinner. Good prompt service, friendly staff, food was excellent. At times the staff could have been a smidge more friendly, a bit abrupt at times but that's just splitting hairs. We were sat in the conservatory and at times was used as a bit of a chat zone for staff so they dropped their porfesionnalism a little. We didn't mind but some would. Overall happy and would go again.

Really great food in a clean and modern restaurant with amazing views from the terrace. Despite being really busy, the service was excellent and all the food was all so tasty. I had a fillet steak which was unbelievable and so reasonably priced too. The children finished all their food which was a miracle..We will definitely return.

We called a lot to try to get a reservation and eventually after a few days they answered. The staff were friendly but service was slow it was very busy though the food was not the standard we expected I had prawns with ciabatta bread which was actually like croutons and very hard then we had risotto and there was so much chillie it over powered the taste of everything else . The menu wasn’t particularly extensive but that could be because of Covid situation my advice is don’t go out of your way to book here

Hmmmmmm what do I say about this little place other than a must when in Cornwall the food wasn't what I expected it was amazingly delicious even my wife was in aaaaaaaw of the food. Traveling from Birmingham to this place was worth the journey. We had only issue the outside section had alot of webs and the floor could do with a bit of sweeping but other than that excellent food and customer service.

We went here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Starters of prawns main courses of risotto. The food was plentiful and well cooked and the service was brilliant. Would highly recommend

This is a nice little restaurant. We booked an indoor table for 2 adults and 2 kids. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is great. The food was very nice.Only criticism would be the size of the pizza on the kids menu but that is a small gripe as it was very nice.I would book again if ever in the area.

We are a family of 7 and arrived 3 days after the restrictions were lifted in July. Even though we are one bubble and sat outside we had to have separate tables and 2 separate bills as we went over 6 people! This was very inconvenient and in away took away the emphasis of a family meal. The staff were apologetic and said it’s company policy. Maybe that needs reassessing. Putting all this aside; the staff were friendly and helpful; the food was amazing; home made & freshly made to order with high quality ingredients. This was the most expensive meal of our holiday but worth it.I would definitely return. If we could of sat and paid together the. It would of been 5*.

We had a lovely meal here, and my gluten free pizza was delicious. The non-gluten-free dishes that my family had looked delicious too. The waiting staff were friendly and polite.

We had sirloin steak and burger, chocolate fudge cake + 2 white wine spritzer with soda last night at the Terrace.Service was very slow, we were waiting for 20 minutes for drinks and another 40 for meals.Top of that to charge £12 for 2 spritzer that is 2x250ml wine price a bit disappointing as we've ordered 2×175ml top up with soda...... Food was delicious but I do not think we will back again.

The problems began on entry to the restaurant. First a "conservatory" table for two was confirmed verbally at the time of booking, but had been reallocated before we arrived (punctually). Signs on the door stated "cash only" as the credit/debit card machine was "broken". (It later began working, which suggests an attempt to defraud HMRC of tax on trading profit and vat). My wife chose the fish dish of the day (Hake) which was advertised with crushed new potatoes, but served with mash. This was explained as the kitchen not having updated the specials board. To add insult to injury, crushed new potatoes were then offered as a spare side dish, but rejected. The damage was already done. We had only the main course and left.

Visited last night with our son & his fiancée. We had requested outdoor seating due to the heat but we were given an inside table but we didn’t complain. The staff were all very friendly helpful & attentive. We ordered the arrancinni meat balls & garlic bread to share as starters. We had a little wait but you do when things are made freshly to order & we all thoroughly enjoyed. For mains we ordered 3 different pizzas with a few added extras & a catch of the day. All meals were enjoyed & the pizzas were delicious !!!. The staff very kindly ordered us a taxi as we were staying at the motorhome club campsite just outside Hayle. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Well done to all the staff at The Terrace!!!. We will definitely return when we are next in the area. Thankyou!!

visited here on a friday evening in June it was very busy when we arrived. We both gad absolutely brilliant fillet steaks together with home made chips and fries great friendly service superb!

We managed to get a late booking and was very pleased with the service and our meal. The service by the waitresses was very friendly and polite and our meals were delicious. I would thoroughly recommend and if we holiday in Hayle again we’ll definitely book to go back.

Family of 5 we choose this restaurant as it provided gluten free options due to allergies, plus individual was vegaterian, also we mentioned this when the table was booked. On arrival ordered drinks, then food to be told no gluten free pizzas bases left or gluten free pasta, so 8.30 on a Friday night trying to find an alternative in a busy period impossible. Food took over an hour to arrival, drinks over priced, food average, very disappointed

Main road frontage but lovely rear courtyard, warm and almost weatherproof! Pizza and pasta all lovely and fresh. Staff all really friendly and helpful. Menu isn't vast but the food is good and reasonably priced. A great choice for a simple family evening out.

Highly recommended The Terrace! We had to book a few days in advance to get a table and it was so worth the wait. Nice interior with friendly staff who were on the ball. We had pizza which I loved (I’m a total pizza snob and wannabe pizziola). Carbonara which my teenage daughter woofed down. Great variety of menu and lovely deserts. The coffee was also top dollar!!Highly recommend.

We came across this little gem on our weeks holiday in Hayle. The food was all cooked to perfection. It was that good we came back before returning home!! The chilli garlic prawns are to die for and the steak literally melted in your mouth. I just wish it wasn’t a 5 hour drive for us to visit again!!

We managed to get a table last minute, friendly staff, food fresh, vibrant and quick. 3 courses, no complaints excellent, will be back.

Enjoyed an excellent meal with friends, best night out I’ve had in a long time. Sea bass special was fresh and cooked to perfection. Young attentive staff were on hand throughout.

Excellent food! We booked a table together for our first meal out together in 4 years without the children. We booked late afternoon for a 1930 table and was pleasantly surprised by availability. We booked a conservatory table but upon arrival were informed that it had been double booked. Instead we were seated in the bay window adjacent the bar. This suited us both fine. The menu offered a great choice of dishes. We opted for a starter of olives and bread, both exquisite. For a main we had a calzone and an aubergine pasta dish. Both enjoyable. Drinks were on the expensive side considering beer choice was limited to 330ml bottles but can’t really find much fault their. Would certainly visit again.

Meal was good overall. Very uncomfortable outdoor chairs and a very wobbly table which was a pain with wriggly kids. Drinks kept being spilt. One waitress (dark hair) was very bubbly and friendly, the other noticeably less so. Food was good, price reasonable.

Absolutely amazing restaurant with such beautiful food, we made this our last meal of our holiday and it didn’t disappoint, my mother in law said it was her best meal of the holiday. She had sea bass. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

Called in advance and booked a table, probably advisable as very busy. We had a lovely friendly greeting and shown to a table outside, heaters above the table so it was lovely and warm. Service was efficient and friendly, food took a while to arrive but was worth the wait as it was obviously freshly prepared, piping hot and delicious. Would much rather wait for a quality meal than be served microwaved food. Although they were very busy the waiting staff were very good. All in all a fantastic experience, thank you

And so, where to begin. Driven past here many times so decided to treat the family for a nice meal out whilst satisfying my curiosity at the same time. I really wish I didn't. Venue is nice enough, tiny tables and quite a dingy conservatory area, but it's fairly pleasant truth be told. Not much social distancing going on here though considering I had to slip last two waitresses to get to the toilet, I had to reassure them I wasn't trying to pick their pockets. Menu is ok. A small range of Mediterranean dishes along with a steak and a few pizzas for good measure. Appalling choices for vegetarians though. Some veggie pizzas, a fish risotto and an aubergine tomato dish was all you could choose from. There was a fish dish on the specials, but they had run out. Disappointingly. The fun really starts when you receive your food. I ordered a crab bruschetta which sounded lovely on the menu. When it arrived it was a whole crab deep fried on a bed of cold pineapple chunks on a doorstop of cold bread. Yum. When I gazed upon the crab adorning my plate, he looked like he was smiling at me. That's because he realised before I did what delights would await me when I cracked open his shell. A tiny, slimy present of crab meat right next to a nice pile of watery snot. It was truly unappetising. On to the mains. I ordered a duck pizza with plumb sauce. Yes, you read that right. Duck and plum sauce pizza. To start with it arrived burnt on one side, the plumb sauce was dripping all over the crust and the duck was arranged in strips so that it looked like a 'learn to tell the time' clock face from a children's toy shop. It didn't taste any better either. As duck is quite a fatty meat, a nice pool of grease started to form in the centre of my pizza with the consistency of a public swimming baths in autumn. Again, unappetising. To be fair, puddings were ok. I shared a lemon tart with my partner that was quite nice, although £7 for the tiniest slither of tart was disgraceful. I've seen bigger angled triangles in a packet of Doritos. In summary - somewhat dingy venue, limited menu, poor food, ridiculously overpriced. Can't complain about the waitresses though, they were nice to talk to at least. My family think I was let down by my poor menu choices, but I certainly know bad crab and bad pizza when I see it!Do yourself a favour and get a takeaway from the place a few doors down. You'll save yourself some time, money and embarrassment.

In our opinion, one of the the best restaurants in Cornwall. We found this gem last year whilst on holiday. Such amazing food. Fully clean and sanitised restaurant with all covid protections adheared too. Wirh Huge compliments to the chef. Flavours just burst in the mouth. Only slight disappointment was the croutons in the garlic prawns were so soggy by the amount of oil it was swimming in but actual prawns were delicious. My girls gobbled down the tasty cheesy garlic bread. For mains The fillet steak was the best my husband and I had ever tasted. Just melted in the mouth. The pepper sauce was delicious and plentiful too. My daughters chose the kids carbonara which was a lovely huge portion and from the main menu a pizza. Both finished their plates with huge happy faces.If only we had left enough room for pudding but we didnt so we just shared one of their amazing brownie waffles. I would definitely recommendbooking a table here and will visit as ofen as we can.

We are staying in Hayle for a week which is our first time. I found this restaurant via reviews on trip advisor. All I can say is WOW! We had the meatballs and they were delicious! To start we tried the Halloumi fries and Arancini! Just amazing! Proper Italian excellence! The children also enjoyed their pizza and it’s a great location for families. We sat out in the terrace with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were excellent and attentive I felt very safe in the current restrictions. I even complimented the chef personally. Book this you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to go back and try more! Thankyou The Terrace!

Welcome was cold and unfriendly almost as if we were an inconvenience. Decor uninspiring and a limited over priced menu. The young waitress was a delight which made the evening more bearable. Quick service of food, which was tasty. Vastly overpriced.

During the last 6 months we have dined at The Terrace several times, each time it has been fantastic. We have dined as a couple, with our children and again with friends . The staff are all so welcoming and friendly , the food is delicious. We have recommend it to several family members and friends and those who have visited have all been equally impressed. We look forward to our next visit.

An enjoyable evening with good food and made special by the friendly staff. I had the duck which was beautiful and my husband had a beetroot starter which was lovely.

We rang and were able to book a table. Information about parking was provided. The restaurant was very busy and the food was excellent particularly the spicy sausages. Service good the bill reasonable but not cheap. It was dark so we can not comment about the location except it was easy to find on the main street. We would return

As we were staying in the area we researched a restaurant within walking distance of our accommodation.Our booking was done through messenger and all our queries were promptly answered.Although it was a busy Saturday the staff were very attentive.The food was excellent,starters were very filling and we ended up taking a doggy bag home.Many thanks for a lovely evening.

We booked here for our last night in Cornwall and am so glad we did. We were at a table in the conservatory which was nice and cosy although a bit hot as the heater was aiming right at our table! I had the caprese salad for starter and duck in plum and orange sauce with dauphinoise potatoes and veg for my mains which was off the specials board. The waitress said that the duck came quite pink and asked if that was ok so I asked for mine to be done just a little bit more and when it came it was cooked perfectly. I had a chocolate truffle torte for dessert and that too was yummy. All the food was delicious, the staff all lovely and the prices very reasonable; excellent restaurant!

Very nice food, service, wine and atmosphere. Table of 2 booked while we were visiting Hayle. I had Duck which was on the Specials menu and the OH had the carbonara.... not a scrap left on either plate! Waitress service by all was excellent, professional and chatty. We enjoyed it so much we booked to go back the following evening. Pizza and Calzone this time.... delicious. Would recommend this place without hesitation.

The inside of this restaurant is a pleasant surprise as it so spacious with a terrace at the back as well. The menu has a good range of dishes, food fresh and tasty, with exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. Brilliant evening!

I go to the Terrace on a regular basic all the waitresses do there upmost to make sure you don’t have any problems or issues. They have the highest quality of waitressing. The food is always at the highest quality and this would be my first option for an evening meal in hayle! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would give 10 stars if I could.

We visited the Terrace whilst holidaying in Hayle based on the good reviews. We called ahead and booked a table in the conservatory and were welcomed by friendly staff. Was a little disappointed to find out on arrival that the menu had been reduced as I had already looked at the menu online and decided what I was going to eat..! Never mind......The starters arrived and were very good, my Wife had the goats cheese and I had the salt and pepper Calamari which was delicious. We ordered a bottle of house wine which was nice and chilled and arrived quickly. Main courses were a BBQ chicken pizza which my Wife said was very sweet, I ordered the meatballs with pasta and sauce which were a little bland. We finished our night with a baileys each and total bill, 2 starters, 2 mains, bottle of house wine and a baileys each was £60 which was reasonable. Would recommend to others visiting the area.

Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner. Although upon arrival there was a little confusion with our reservation, the team quickly found us a table outside on the terrace. The atmosphere there was lovely (once the loud group of drunk women had gone!) and service was paced just right. Food wise we ordered the antipasto to share and I had the “Toscana” pizza (roasted vegetables and goats cheese) and my partner ordered the chicken and mushroom calzone. It was all delicious. Prices really reasonable and was more than happy to pay them! Thank you to the team for being so wonderful and friendly, looking after us. We hope one day we are back in the area to visit again!

Desperate for a place to eat in the evening we stopped at an unassuming looking restaurant with little to suggest much inside. How wrong can you be? We were apologetically offered a table outside in a covered area as the one remaining place and took it . We were lead through the enclosed part to a charming Mediterranean style terrace, overlooking the estuary, heated against the evening chill, and served an Italian meal freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. One of the best such meals we have had. We had a tagliatelle with beef, and a vegetarian dish of aubergine, tomatoes and cheese. The waiting staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, and the bill was a welcome surprise. We would heartily recommend this charming place.

Absolutely amazing food and a brilliant find! We both had specials and my duck was absolutely to die for. Make a point of going here if your in the area or even if your not well worth it- they book up quickly but also do take away so never to be missed out! These women and chefs work hard and are customer focused with absolutely fantastic food- we will be back

Booked The terrace for a birthday celebration....... on arrival they had no record of our booking, however they did manage to sort a table for 4. We patiently waited for 1 hour 20mins with no sign of any food or any communication from the staff we asked if our order was on the way. The waitress disappeaed to the kitchen, 5 mins later returned with half the order then disappered to the kitchen again then returned 10 mins later with the rest of the order. The waitress then apologised for the long wait and asked if we required any more drinks. As we'd been waiting for well over 1 hour 20mins we had already gone through a bottle of wine so I asked if they could do anything on the drinks because of the long wait. The manageress then came over and said she'd have to check by looking at the ticket as to how long we'd been waiting then came back agreeing we'd been waiting a long time so offered us 2 glasses of wine which we accepted along with her apology. Then within a mater of seconds with no provocation she suddenly flipped and said she wanted us to leave....... I couldn't belive what I was hearing, we hadv been very polite through out yet she humiliated me and my party infont of other guests. I can't comment on the food as we didn't get chance to eat any of it, will definitely NOT be returning .... I've eaten at 1000's of restaurants around the world but this has to be the WORST SERVICE and treatment I've ever encountered.

Had a really good meal , great atmosphere . Towards the end of the evening a family of 4 were being very rude to the members of staff . Overall it’s a great place 🤙🏽

We have been here nearly everything we’ve been to Hayle.It never disappoints. The menu is still very varied and the staff are always polite and attentive.There is plenty of space between the table to ensure distancing and everything was clean and tidy.We pre booked but people arrived without a booking and were accommodated. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone

We had a really great experience and food here. The food was amazing, well priced and really tasty (the carbonara and parmigiana were highlights along with the squid 🦑). The service was excellent and friendly and will certainly recommend/return on future holidays!!

Top marks for everything. The restaurant was well staffed on a Sunday evening for families, couples, babies, dogs, surfers, locals, plus oldies like us. It also did a busy takeaway trade.Somehow it managed to take coronavirus precautions seriously whilst also creating a lovely relaxed, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent. My husband’s fillet steak was one of the best he has ever had and my pasta was delicious.Well done to everyone.

Enjoyed dinner at The Terrace yesterday eating out on their covered terrace with heaters on. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and prompt and we had a very relaxing dinner. Would definitely go back.

Wonderful warm welcome, fabulous meal with 6 adults all enjoyed food with nothing but positive feedback on our choices. Chorizo as part of mezze starter probably stole the show. We will definitely return. All clean and safe.

Lovely meal at The Terrace. Starters of the Calamari & Antipasto combo and patatas bravas were all excellent. Mains of the specials Duck in Orange and plum sauce and the Hake with garlic mash were exceptional. All reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere and very helpful cheerful staff.

Excellent food, the best we had in Cornwall! I had the duck which I like cooked medium rare and it was cooked to perfection, My husband had the steak which was also cooked to perfection, Overall good food, good wines and great service

Had a fabulous meal here with my family! Everything cooked to perfection and we had a lovely table outside on the terrace overlooking the estuary. Patio heaters and being undercover ensures that you are protected from the elements should the weather not be so great! Super friendly staff. A bit of background music playing outside would make it even better and add to the ambience but otherwise full marks from me.

We’ve just had an evening here and it was perfect from start to finish. The food is just delicious! Everything we ordered was perfect. Huge thanks to the chef. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The girls working here are friendly, smiley and super helpful. What an amazing place. We’re only here for a few more days but we are hoping to come back one more time before we head home. Can’t recommend The Terrace highly enough. Thanks for a truly lovely evening x

We have been very impressed with the pizzas, lots of topping and very tasty. The staff are all friendly and pleasant and make sure that everything is clean during this covid time. We would highly recommend eating here but remember to book.

Lovely atmosphere very welcoming and excellent service. Food delicious especially the Hake. Have an outside terrace with heating overlooking the estuary

We were sat outside which was nice and very spaced out. Service was quite slow but there was a very large table behind us (think about 18). Starter was very nice and pizza and pasta were nice but not amazing. Ladies serving us were friendly and attentive, would come back. Didn’t realise they were doing the eat out to help out so ended up being about £38 for two starters, two mains and 3 drinks!

Went here with family for evening meal and wasn’t disappointed even the children were happy! We found the staff friendly and attentive. We would have given 5 stars but only niggle was that when our desserts arrived one of us had to wait and the others were almost finished by time the last one arrived - tasted great all the same :)

We visited here whilst staying on holiday. Saw the lovely reviews and thought we would check it out for my Birthday. All i can say is Wow. The food tasted amazing. My 12 year old loves pasta and said it was the best carbonara ever. They offer a kids smaller version of the main meals such as pizza, pasta and chicken goujons. I had the filet steak which just melted in the mouth the chips and salad were fresh and full of flavour. Hubby had calzoni which again the flavours just exploded in the mouth and just fabulous. All the staff were very friendly and adapted to new covid serving proceedures well. They even gahered together safely and sang happy birthday when my dessert was presented to me. We sat out on the Terrace itself which worried us a bit as we pre booked it and it had been raining most of the day but it was well covered with heating on each table and a very lovely atmosphere. A lovely gem of a place and we will definitely visit again. Thank you

Beautiful food, a lovely atmosphere and all staff very friendly. Family of 4 and we all shared different tapas dishes and a pizza. Could not fault anything. Would definitely go back!

This was a fantastic find and easily the best food we had while staying in nearby overcrowded, over priced St.Ives. In fact we liked it so much we went twice in one week! The staff were very nice, particularly the waiting staff. Our waitress even said ‘welcome back, nice to see you again!’ on our second visit. Children are well catered for, although my two sons were too old for the menu. Thoroughly recommend, only a short drive from St.Ives.

We visited whilst on holiday in Cornwall. This is a lovely restaurant with a little gem of a terrace out the back. Food and service are good - menu was slightly restricted due to current situation with covid. I would return again.

Managed to get us in at very short notice and sat outside on the rear terrace. Food was good but would have liked my hake a little hotter! However, both our meals tasted good and staff were attentive and friendly.

My sister and I had a fabulous meal here. We both had the hake which was cooked to perfection. It was quite busy on the evening we went but tables were well distanced. Be aware that the menu is more limited than we expected but there is something for everyone. Would definitely return

That's it. I could stop there.We had dinner twice at this restaurant and the food was impeccable. The Hake fillet is simply wonderful. The starters are lovely and the desserts are really to die for.I didn't expect much, to be honest but I rebook ed the table for a few days later as I loved it so much.Service is very good, waitresses are extremely friendly.No service added to the bill, so don't forget to tip them.

The terrace staff took an order at 7.30pm for a takeaway and told us to call back at 8pm for them to tell us a pick up time. They didn’t answer the phone until 8.30pm after numerous calls and told us that they cannot process the order now. The girl on the phone laughed down the phone. Not one call in between to advise us. We have a 2 year old without food. Terrible service. Don’t even bother with their staff despicable.

We turned up without booking and they were very accommodating even though busy. Food was excellent - we had pizza and pasta. Lovely terrace at the back and friendly staff.

We had a delicious takeaway from the reduced menu whilst on holiday. A melt in the mouth creamy carbonara, the chicken calzone and a meat antipasti platter. Can not fault it at all, was absolutely delicious!!

First time here and the food was really good - pizza and tapas done really well. Few negative points such as having to ask twice for a plate to eat our tapas from and a 45 minute wait for food despite the restaurant being quiet. Also the online menu is out of date so there are now less dishes to choose from and prices are higher - but would still visit again as the food was great.

My boyfriend and I arrived late in the day to our accommodation and just fancied something quick and tasty. The lady serving us was a star, super lovely throughout and even recommended some places to go during our holiday! I didn't catch her name (long dark hair, fairly young), but she was so lovely and accommodating. The menu was super easy to navigate and the food came out efficiently. Super tasty and definitely filled a spot. It was a quiet Monday, but the venue was small and felt very homely.Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Cornwall! Thanks so much!!

Another enjoyable evening in pleasant setting with the most amazing food. We love the fish specials and the cod loin with chorizo and arrabbiatta sauce was just amazing.

However the visit was spoiled by several people VAPING this makes for several uncomfortable people on a couple of tables and ours. The staff were friendly though and probably did not realise, Should we have companined? Probably!

A great pizza restaurant; a few other things on the menu. I counted 9 vegetarian dishes out of about 35. Seemed popular with families. Desserts excellent.

What a beautiful restaurant! So much choice on the menu I had difficulty deciding. I had halloumi fries to start and carbonara for main. Both were delicious. My partner had the lamb tagine which he enjoyed. We would have had pudding (somewhat forcefully eaten after being so full) had it not been for my partners option having run out. Very popular restaurant with people being turned away. If you are in the area I highly recommend booking and eating here!

A good choice, recommended while visiting family in the area, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner...........very tasty and an excellent choice on the menu.

Staying on hols for short break and looked this up on Tripadvisor. Fab decision! Good atmosphere and brilliant food. My Mexican pizza was as good as any I’ve ever had and my wife’s Funghi Dolcelatte (mushroom with Stilton cream sauce pasta) was beautifully balanced for flavour and texture. Great service and a very pleasant meal - highly recommended.

I drive past on my way to and from work but this was the first time we had ventured in. It certainly won’t be the last time. The staff are so lovely, polite and welcoming. A wonderful relaxed atmosphere and the food was fabulous. We couldn’t fault it. We couldn’t add a tip on to the bill when we paid by card and didn’t have any cash, so we will most definitely go back and leave a big tip.

We visited The Terrace whilst staying in Hayle. Fab menu- the owner heard us talking about scallops & offered to cook us a starter with Chorizo. Food was really good- we had steak, fish & risotto- all lovely. The waitresses were great too - couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend it.

The best pasta dish I have ever eaten. Absolutely faultless food and brilliant friendly service. Would definitely recommend. Our 2 year old who is usually a nightmare to take out for dinner even sat and ate his which is a 1st.

Good selection of Mediterranean style food, well presented, and very tasty. Pleasant staff, and nice al fresco feel sitting out on the terrace.

Not always easy to find a restaurant that pleases our teenage sons as well us (middle aged parents) but this one won hands down.! My wife opted for the monkfish and prawn risotto off the specials which she thought was the best she`d tasted and the chocolate torte dessert was a real crowd pleaser too . The restaurant was very busy with locals and holidaymakers but the service was well timed and the atmosphere good too. .

Just returned here for our second visit and we had a fabulous meal. The service from the waitresses was attentive without being intrusive. Lovely staff headed up this evening by Jasmine who is a credit to the restaurant. The food was great, with a lovely starter of Cajun chicken goujons followed by a spicy Mexican pizza and hake fillet on a prawn risotto, from the specials board, which was to die for! Thank you, we will be back.

Sat outside on the under cover terrace. Metal seats uncomfortable and cold to sit on. This area is neglected with weeds growing between slabs and in borders. The windows need cleaning and there was a spiky plant behind me stabbing me in the back.
