Make your own mind up! These were our dough balls!!! Burned? Didn’t open them until we were home so it was too late to return them….ask yourself if you’d actually serve these to your customers?

We arranged for our first night in Padstow, a pizza for tea! The food was fabulous- highly recommend 😋. You do need to book if you want to eat in as they don’t have lots of tables and was very popular.

On holiday, we decided on a pizza for tea. Decided to try Embers, we had our sausage dog with us & needed restaurant we could take her in. Tracey who greeted us was great, really friendly & helpful. The pizza was tasty, there was a great wine selection. Plus our sausage dog had couple treats. Will go again on our next holiday.

Amazing little place, super fast service and really lovely staff. We would definitely visit again when in Padstow. Pizza was super tasty!

Small but excellent. Fabulous food with great service from Tracy. Both pizza and pasta dishes cooked to perfection. Don't let the size of the restaurant put you off. If you want good food, this is the place for you!

Embers Wood Fired Pizza- great wood fired pizzas done well with friendly service. I have been here a few times and will continue to go back whenever I am in Padstow. I have booked tables with friends, as a couple and with children and have never had bad feedback from anyone I've taken here.

We dined at the Embers Wood Fired Pizza restaurant early in November. The service was great, and the food lovely. Would recommend the dough balls ! We look forward to returning in December - lockdown permitting !

We visited Embers as a table of 6 for lunch. Booking online was efficient. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was tasty and enjoyed by all the family. Lovely to sit in the window and watch the world go by on a busy day in Padstow.

Takeaway for the daughters while the mum and dad go out for dinner...telephoned the order through ,collection was easy , the girls had dough balls and nachos both very tasty, the dough balls were so soft and yummy , pizza margarita and pork feast pizza , really yummy and lovely pizza base and toppings .....will definitely be going again

Do not PRE-BOOK as there is a very harsh cancellation policy with no flexibility and very high charges. Plus very poor service from management. I was in Padstow for the day with my elderly mother and young son in mid October. I had pre-booked (as we were advised we were unlikely to have walk-in space due to the pandemic restrictions) for 5pm as soon as evening service started.My mother fell ill during the day which meant we had to return to our apartment in Bude. I called to the reataurant to request cancellation, but the restaurant had closed after lunch service. I telephoned repeatedly on the number given in the two reminder text messages, but there was no answer with no voicemail option.When I spoke to the restaurant at 5.15pm I was advised of a cancellation policy which was added on the end of the confirmation email (AFTER you have booked and given your card details), and because I couldn't give 24 hours notice, I would be charged £20 per person.... a total of £60. I was understandably distraught but it made no difference to the decision to charge me. I was offered a telephone call the next day from the restaurant owner as he was the only one that could deviate from the cancellation charge. NO SUCH PHONE CALL WAS RECEIVED! MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED £60 THAT SAME DAY. I felt disgusted that there was no leeway in the cancellation charge even though there was no way I could give the required notice due to the onset of illness of an elderly lady. The contact details the restaurant provided were useless as there was no answer and no way to leave a message. And the promised follow up call never materialised.

Luckily we had booked even though it was a Wednesday evening. Pizzas are lovely with some unique specials; crab pizza. More expensive than your average pizza place but very nice and we had a pleasant evening.

Had a wonderful pizza takeaway - the pollo spicy chicken pizza , wedges , slaw & chicken fajitas . Food was piping hot , nicely spicy and really tasty. Great value for money, a must for any Padstow self catering holiday treat night. Thank you Embers will return next summer

We booked here in advance but felt really let down on arrival. I had to leave my card details on booking and was advised we would be charged £10 per person if we didn’t give more than 24 hours notice if we needed to cancel. The place itself has 5 tables in total and most of it’s revenue would come from takeaways. Whilst the service and food was good enough, having the waitress constantly walk past your table with Pizza takeaway boxes for collection doesn’t give it a feeling of a eating in a restaurant. A 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill which we felt was cheeky, given the experience. Fine as a takeaway but it’s not an Italian restaurant.

Can’t believe we hadn’t tried this place before, great front of house team very friendly and clearly taken all measures to make it covid friendly Menus are downloaded by a qr code and whilst I’m old fashioned and Would like a proper menu it works well Drinks are well priced, they serve a great Spanish beer on tap and have a good choice of beers wines and spirits Food was brought out in a very acceptable time, attentive service and overall a great night

Ordered pizza and wedges to takeaway. Unfortunately the wedges weren't fully cooked through (although burnt on the outside) and the pizzas both lacked toppings so I wouldn't be in a rush to eat from here again

Embers is a small pizza and pasta restaurant in the centre of Padstow on road just behind the harbour. Large garlic bread and the Di Capra special pizza ( chorizo, goats cheese and jalapenos) particularly good. We also tried some of the mexican dishes ( dirty nachos and chicken fajitas, which were also good. Friendly lady on front of house, who was helpful and served us well. Reasonably priced .

I've been Coeliac since 2012 and Embers cooked probably the best gluten free pizza I've had in that time. Gluten free lager too. Fantastic.

Just finished my second takeaway pizza from this great place (first one last year) and both times the pizza was great; crispy and cooked to perfection and very tasty toppings. They also offer takeaway drinks at very competitive prices. Bravo, I'll be back!

We really enjoyed our food and the staff were very pleasant. The food was great value and priced in line with the area. It was very busy and would recommend booking as number of people were turned away as no reservation.

Friendly owner and staff, food exceptional. We were lucky to get a table for 6 the other evening. The food was lovely, everyone of our party enjoyed it. Witnessed a man who was collecting a take away being rude as he had to wait! I am not sure how long it would take him to cook a pizza from fresh, found it unacceptable that he was complaining I'm sure the owner and staff could do without this aggravation as they all clearly work so hard.

Possibly best pizza ever...good value and great pizza! Could only be exceeded if they allowed dogs 😬

We arrived at Embers and was greeted by a lovely, friendly gentlemen who sat us down and gave us some water, we shortly was also greeted by a young girl who did a fantastic job of getting us our drinks quickly and she was very friendly. The place is warm, cosy and has a family feel to it, the food was delivered to our table not long after we sat and it tasted amazing, we also had chilli oil and pepper accompanying it. I cannot fault the place at all, the gentlemen who served us really made the place feel comfortable, was laughing with us and the rest of the customers. The staff were properly dressed in PPE which made us feel at ease. The only thing I would say is I wish the place was slightly bigger because we almost didn't get a table as it was booking up quick, however the small, cosiness of the place really made us feel at home and I will be going back without a doubt. Fantastic friendly staff and amazing food.

Fabulous lunch ... 5 of us did lunch ... the pizzas were amazing ... took the left overs home ... small so book in advance ... we were stuffed... great value and fab service xxxx

We visited Embers pizza on a busy Monday night. We had pre-booked and as there was limited seating, I am so glad I did. Service was really quick and friendly. To view the menu, you scanned a bar code placed on the table on your smartphone. This was the only place I saw this and thought it was very clever. I had one of the Pasta specials and my boyfriend had the dirty pig pizza. We also had a to die for cheesy garlic pizza bread. CruzCampo was the beer on tap - a unique option in Cornwall, but one we loved - and the wine was great. We also had ice cream to finish. The takeaway service seemed really busy throughout the evening but the service was still excellent. I would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area.

We had fantastic pizza here for lunch with a great glass of wine and shared some delicious ice cream for dessert. Lovely host and great service. What's not to like.

Proper wood fired pizzas with so much taste reminded me of Italy, definitely worth a try if your in the area but pre book well in advance as it’s only a small restaurant, they do takeaway aswell though.

I eat at Embers whenever I am in Padstow and have had the odd take-away, too. I find it really friendly and professionally run, with a great team.My most recent visits were in the newly laid-out space for Covid safety. This has been well thought through for the guests. Sadly, this small restaurant has lost some vital tables, as so many in Padstow have, but it was good to see them all fully booked and great take-away trade being done,too.It is easy to see why it is so popular when you are there. The pizzas have some really unusual combinations (I tried the one with blue cheese and honey. Delicious, but who would have thought??x). They are the perfect size and very fresh. Excellent dry rose wine, lovely pudding, coffee and really attentive service.On another evening I had the arrabiata penne, which was also delicious.Excellent value for money.Please try to eat here when you visit the area and thanks for looking after me so well X

Really disappointed. Have had pizzas from Embers many times and always been superb, tonight our pizza was REALLY disappointing, all crust and not much topping, easy to do when it’s a take away, you shouldn’t have to check it before you leave the place.

We had a brilliant meal here tonight, all plates clean and stomachs full. Can tell this is a family run business and they’re doing a great job. Wood fired pizzas and perfect pasta. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Have seen reviews saying the food here is expensive but this was our cheapest meal all week by far!

Although the pizzas may appear expensive we were starving and ordered one each and a portion of wedges with a spicy sauce that they make exclusively. The wedges are heaven. If only we had shared one pizza we could have fit the waffles in. Damn.Booking essential in Covid and easy to do on line. With a bottle of good wine around £50 ish. Possibly best pizza we have eaten in the UK. Parking is difficult in Padstow so plan ahead.

Booked here for our first night meal in Padstow. Busy little place, our group was large so there were only a couple of other tables in the restaurant with us. My honest opinion is it is far too expensive for what it is. A nice pizza but not ground breaking and adequate service but nonetheless over £30 service charge added. We could have taken that off of course but we were in a hurry to get home as had small children with us so we left it on. In total worked out at over £80 a couple for pizza and drinks. Being a large group there were various meals ordered. Kids meals were nice and they enjoyed them - simple margarita pizza and cheesy pasta. Our pizzas were a mixture of bbq, crab, ‘nduja, ham and pineapple. All very nice but the price is extortionate so we didn’t re-book during our holiday.

Glad that we booked here well I advance of our stay. Pizzas were delicious as well as the wedges we had as a side order. Would definitely visit Embers again if we are in Padstow.

Lovely wood fired pizza, in an intimate restaurant. Can’t go wrong with a visit to Embers. We even came back for a takeaway two nights later. You must try the wedges, they are delicious!!!!

Booked a takeaway slot for 7pm and pizzas werent lay around waiting for me they were fresh, we had the potato wedges and they were the best wedges we have ever had, because of covid there measures were excellent and those who want to eat or have a takeaway make sure you phone in advance you won't be disappointed

We were recomendded this little place for an easy dinner. Opening hours are reduced and best to prebook at present but we really enjoyed the pizza's and would recommend to people wanting quick and easy supper. The website has the most up to date opening times so recommend you check before you go.

We had a takeaway here as were having a night in the room after a busy day on the beach. Fab pizzas and they did a small half size pizza for our son. Really delicious with a crispy thin base. Had to wait 15 minutes for it but we were only staying round the corner so didn’t mind popping back to the room whilst it cooked. Thought £14 for a standard and a half size pizza was good.

We were a party of 4 and our reviews were mixed. I ordered the Padstow crab chilli pizza and was initially disappointed that the white crab was cold. However the chilli was so hot ( in a good way) that I had to admit I was wrong as it worked really well. Our sons wanted more toppings but really enjoyed the fire cooked wedges. The service was really efficient but could have been a bit more cheery. They were really busy with take aways which was great to see but with only 4 tables and pre booking you want to feel more than a quick in and out customer. We would use again as take away but not for in dining.

Our regular trip to Cornwall would never be complete without a visit to Embers, and it never disappoints.The welcome is always friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble and the food is simply fantastic. Fajitas, dirty nachos, prawns, quesadillas and of course the pizzas were all ordered by our group and we couldn't decide whose meal was the best, because it was all so delicious.Please keep doing exactly what you are doing, its fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic pizzas, so good we forgot we had drinks! Really friendly service, good choice of drinks. Clean and easy going. Come here multiple times when we’re down in Padstow. Always a winner! Definitely recommend 100%!!!

A lovely meal on a summer evening in busy Padstow; had lovely pizzas and drinks, friendly service and for a good price too. Because of covid they had reduced the number of tables, we felt well looked after with good friendly service. Will be looking forward to returning for a visit next time.

First time visit to Ember with the family. Fantastic pizza, with lovely thin bases and tasty tomato sauce & a wide choice of toppings.

ordered 4 pizzas in advance and as peak season no problem waiting an hour or 2 before collecting as all food was cooked to order. We were given a time to collect and food was ready on time. All pizzas were very good - i gave the local blue cheese and homey (!) a go and it was very good even though it sounds unusual. It is unusually the same price for takeaway as it is for eat in and up to £15 per pizza, but it is very good!

We ordered a wonderful take away from here during our holiday. It was such an easy process, we chose our food, booked a time to collect later that evening, paid at the hatch and picked it up later on. We ordered pizzas which were delicious but the gourmet wedges and dough balls were to die for. We will definitely be returning on our next trip!

We had a delicious dinner here, enjoying the pizzas and waffles. The new measures tp manage COVID-19 did not affect our enjoyment at all, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and we all loved it.

We dined here as a group of four adults and were really impressed with the surroundings, service and quality of the pizza.

More like pizza you get in Italy than from an English chain. We much prefer a lightly loaded top with simple quality fresh components than the commonplace Brit approach to overloading everything to the point of it pouring over the edges and down your chest.

Wine was lovely but needed to be chilled and served in a iced cooler.Overall would recommend here, it also seemed very popular for takeaway. Thanks again

I had rung up a few hours before to order my margherita pizza. I was left waiting for my pizza for an extra 25 mins which I was not happy with. When my pizza arrived there was no apology from the staff. The pizza was not hot, upon looking at it, immediately i was disappointed with the little amount of cheese and tomato, there was more bread then the actual pizza ingredients! Around the sides of the pizza it was also burnt. The tomato sauce on the pizza was sooooo basic! It tastes exactly like the basic Tesco tomato sauce. Plus, the amount of mozzarella was pathetic, about 3 blobs of it around the whole pizza. No wonder the pizza is £8.50 as you get nothing for it! Just burnt disgusting bread and a spit of basic cheap tomato sauce and mozzarella. Please do not come here, unless you like basic, burnt, tasteless pizza.

Great evening at Embers. Amazing friendly service and great food. We have been out a few times in the area, and felt service was lacking in these different times. But Embers rose to the occasion, the. best food and service we had in a while.The mushroom pizza was yummy!!Thanks for a fab evening, keep it up we will be back soon.

This was the first place that I saw in my first visit to Padstow. It was closed then and closed earlier than what was convenient. Person on the phone helpful. Person on the till not so. The pizza was disappointing.

Ordered 3 pizzas and a garlic bread to pick up for takeaway. Timing was great and pizzas really yummy. Unfortunately they got one of our pizzas wrong... We called them and within 10 minutes they had the correct order for us to pick up.... Phew!

We have previously eaten here and not had a problem - wrote a positive review - however, what a disappointment this time. Ordered Pizza's for collection. The topping on one of them was a joke - only a small circle in the middle of pizza was tomato sauce, about 4 pieces of meat and hardly any cheese. Felt totally ripped off, why ruin a reputation by cutting down on the toppings because you think people are taking the pizza away and won't be back. Silly. Attitude of staff not very warm either.

After a long day riding the Camel Trail, I ordered pizza from here to collect and take away. Collecting was a little tricky as there was no available parking out front, but I managed to dart across!I had the Sticky Pig pizza with posh wedges and it was absolutely lovely - no complaints at all!Thank you!

Visited yesterday and owner has done a great job remodelling his small restaurant to comply with CV19 guidance. Service was friendly and efficient and food exceeded expectation. We ordered pepperoni pizza, guacamole, wedges and one of tastiest green salads ever. Felt it was good value for money in the location. Highly recommended but you need to book even for takeaway slots so as not to be disappointed.

Just spent £20 for two large takeaway pizzas, one margherita and one mushroom. The mushroom pizza was about 11" to 12" and the margherita was smaller. The mushroom pizza had topping on approx 50% of the base and the margherita had slightly more. The mushroom pizza was burnt and both pizzas were stone cold. Won't be going back any time soon.

Having checked earlier in the day that Embers did gluten free food (I have coeliac disease) we booked for the evening.The staff are friendly, the ambiance is cosy and welcoming and the pizzas delicious. I was pleased when Pizza Express started doing GF bases but Embers pizzas are 10 times better.Thank you EmbersLooking forward to our next pizza.

Dinner prospects on a cold rainy evening in Padstow were instantly lifted when we stepped into the warmth of Embers. Plenty of options for toppings, plus daily specials on the board. Embers offers a good selection of local brews, and has some lovely sounding cocktails. Overall a perfectly cooked, tasty pizza, but at Padstow prices as you'd expect.

Woodfired pizza, great toppings and a brilliant gluten free base. Lovely staff and good knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements. Menu marked with allergens, but all pizzas are available with a gluten free base.

Risked an early Saturday night for 2 without booking and was warmly welcomed even though the restaurant was going to be very busy later. Staff very attentive and food was quick hot and had we had very good choice from the menu.

Possibly the best pizza we've ever had! Really nice variety of toppings, good sides and starters plus homemade ice cream in an array of tempting flavours. The staff were so lovely which made the experience even better. You can eat in or takeaway which is handy to know.I'd go back here in a heartbeat.

Stopped in on a winters, Friday evening with another couple. Meal was very good as was the service. We sat talking until they were ready to close (8:00PM) and then asked for the bill. As they were closing, I just glanced at the total and paid. It was the next day I noticed the 10% service charge on the bill. Nothing was said to us about it and a quick glance at the menu revealed there is no mention of this service charge as well. So we emailed the restaurant to enquire as to the reason for the service charge. The reply stated it was a normal policy for any party size and they did not feel it was uncommon. They also stated the service charge is not mentioned but is normally described as discretionary on the receipt but agreed it was not so described on ours. They have offered to refund the charge if we so desired. We did desire. Check your receipt. We find it odd that the till printied receipt randomly choose to not print discretionary on our receipt but stranger things have happened.

If you've not eaten here, you are well & truly missing out. The calzone di capri pizza is probably the best pizza I've ever eaten, & my partner is Italian! My 2 year old loves it too.& The freshly made ice cream they make locally. It's incredible! Definitely check it out.

Limited choice but a very small venue. Comfy, cosy and warm. Excellent pizzas. All reasonably priced.

Went to Padstow for a Twixmas and New Year break in December 2019 and decided to go for a return visit to Embers and enjoy their wood fired pizzas. As a break from all the luxury restaurants this place is a breath of fresh air with crisp, freshly made, extremely tasty pizzas at a cost every pocket can afford.

Been here a couple of times now. It’s a very small restaurant but it adds to the charm!

What a lovely little gem of a pizzaria. I had a vegan marguerita with 3 extra toppings made into a calzone. My husband had a meat pork pizza with extra toppings. The food was delicious and the service was great. I think if I lived in Padstow this would be my go-to for takeaway pizza as well.

Took my mum and my little girl for lunch. Lovely pizzas, friendly service and great atmosphere. Will definitely be heading back.

As a family, we do love a good pizza and the pizza at Embers is INCREDIBLE! The menu is varied without being overwhelming, the pizzas are all delicious, the side salad and coleslaw were delicious and really fresh. I couldn't fit a pudding in but hubby and son did and they looked equally as delicious. Nice wine, beer and smoothies too. We wished we had another night free on holiday so we could've gone again, but we will be back next year for sure. Super little venue too - worth booking in busy seasons as it's only small.

Best Pizza we have eaten, we had a takeaway. The pizza was prepared very quickly we chose the Mackerel absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend and would definitely revisit.

Friendly staff and the pizzas and coffee are comparable to those I have visited in Italy ie. Excellent, yet prices are reasonable and they do half price children's pizzas. A pleasant surprise on a cloudy afternoon.

We were back in Padstow again in August and had a wonder Evening at Embers. We all enjoyed the pizzas, such an exciting selection of amazing toppings, we also loved the lovely wine selection and the deserts. The staff are very welcoming and the service excellent. We are back again in December and our table is already booked!

Absolutely delicious authentic wood-fired pizza. Lovely attentive service and an interesting menu. Perfect for family lunch.

Very quiet out of season evening, ordered two pizzas to take away and agreed 20 minute pick up time as we were popping for a drink. Returned just after 20 mins and the pizzas hadn’t been started. waited an additional 15 mins to be told it wasn’t an exact science ! Haha !

Lovely little pizza place. Arrived in Padstow after a long 9 hour drive and wandered around looking for something to eat. The lovely smells of garlic and pizza led us to this place. Welcoming host and really good pizza. Great little find.

Being some what of a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I would really recommend Embers! The service from Ray and Michelle was really warm and welcoming. We had the cheesy garlic dough balls, so much garlicky cheesy goodness! crispy potatoes wedges and a pizza each. A pizza flavour to cater for all of our party! Even helped us narrow down from the selection. We’re staying in Padstow for a few days and have already decided we’re going back on Friday for lunch! If you don’t like this pizza, you are a weirdough

Had a really nice meal with my family. My boys had a delicious macaroni cheese and we had some really nice pizza. On advice I also went for the special which didn’t disappoint. Nice place, really friendly and accommodating staff and great food

Embers, what a change from all the highly expensive Michelin type of restaurants.

My wife and I spent a week in Padstow from the 7th September and had two meals at this gem of a place. The first time was Monday evening and I was planning to book a table but my wife thought it would be quiet so we wouldn't need to. How lucky we were to get the last table for the time we arrived, all the rest were occupied or booked. We both ordered pizza which came very quickly and was, we both declared, the best pizza we'd ever had. And it was. The wedges which we got as an accompaniment were fantastic also. All washed down with excellent Padstow Pilsner!

My husband and I ordered a takeaway whilst staying in Padstow... Embers did not disappoint! The pizzas were crisp and really tasty and the garlic bread fab. From order to collection only took 20 minutes. As someone who has eaten their share of pizzas in Italy, these are really authentic in taste. We hope to dine in before we depart Padstow and will return again when in the area next. If only Embers delivered to Eastleigh!!!

Our last night near Padstow and we had walked past this little spot during our first day. Booked a table, and glad we did as around 7:30pm it became very busy!

Had dinner here last week, first time we have tried Embers, got talked into it by our daughter. So glad we went - great pizza, very authentic taste, excellent drinks menu, cocktails etc and fab vibe despite the small size of the restaurant. First class service from the lady who looked after us, good knowledge of food and ingredients - other more ‘high end’ places in the vicinity could learn a thing or two! Give Embers a try, you won’t be disappointed.

My Husband and I live in Cornwall and fancied eating out for tea so popped in here. We both had pizzas, mine was vegetarian and husband had a meat pizza. Both were delicious. The toppings were very generous and the pizza base really tasty. Service was great. It’s a really nice place to eat, nice staff, great decor. We will be back.

Wanted one takeaway pizza. Even though the restaurant was far from full, the waitress told me that the single pizza I wanted to order would take 55 minutes! Needless to say I did not wait. Fast food it most definitely is not. I guess you MUST order in advance. Dread to think how long the wait would be if the restaurant was actually full.

Had a take away the first night we arrived in Padstow. They were great! Ordered, popped for a pint and called back 30 mins later to collect. Nice crispy base, lots of choice. We went for the mackerel house special and wood roasted veg. Generous and tasty toppings on both. I only wish I lived closer!

All three of us had a takeaway one evening in Padstow. Three pizzas, garlic bread and some wedges a bit much but we took home what we didn't eat. Great pizza, so much so that young son wanted to come back another night which we did.

What a great find! Booked ahead which was definitely needed. The service we received was excellent, really friendly & helpful. The food was freshly cooked & delicious. Great atmosphere.

We had visited Embers last year and enjoyed some good meals so this was on the list for a return visit. Over the 2 weeks we returned 3 times such is the quality of the food at Embers, excellent pizzas at reasonable prices.

On holiday with the family and visited Embers for some lunch.. We ordered 2 pizzas and a couple of milkshakes. Have to say, it was a really enjoyable meal, couldn't fault it. Also, and the service was really friendly. Would definitely recommend if your in town.

We didn’t actually eat here but here’s the backdrop - a very wet and windy Friday in Padstow and a general consensus with the family for pizza led us to Embers. Walked in and it’s a small restaurant. The owner came over and roundly told us that they were booked all evening in a tone that made us feel stupid for walking in and expecting anything different. We asked about takeaway options only to be told by him to go back outside and order at the window. In the rain. No option of doing it inside - too small one assumes - but the owner’s attitude was he simply couldn’t have cared less. And why should he because he was ‘fully booked all night’? My other half made a half joking / half pointed comment about going back outside to order takeaway to wait our turn - he didn’t like that. The trouble is he provides a service and clearly that only matters when it suits him. Another takeaway customer recommended we go to another restaurant that offered takeaway pizza. We did just that. UPDATE - In reply to the owner to this review - firstly TripAdvisor is not a social media platform - it is a review site and as you state you have to accept both positive and negative feedback. It’s your prerogative to respond but please be factually correct - your attitude was the key factor to you receiving a sarcastic comment. You showed no empathy to the situation and asked us to go back outside to order takeaway food. To repeat you are a service provider so if you want a customer to feel that they matter then provide a good service and put the stress of a busy session to one side. It’s irrelevant if you are a family run business - you made my family feel most unwelcome. In terms of telling you how ‘angry’ we were before writing this review on TripAdvisor - I honestly believe you could have not cared less as I mentioned before. Your food gets excellent reviews - we will never know nor really care now, your service however needs work and if you get a difficult customer (which clearly you believe we were) then deal with it with more empathy and objectivity. We may have come back another day if you had....

For a busy summers day, 6 of us in my family were finding it hard to find a place for a late lunch at 3pm. Although Embers was due to close after the lunch rush, they invited us in and we literally have never felt so welcomed before. The staff were great with the kids, the food was absolutely amazing, posh pizzas with fresh ingredients and their choice of Padstow Brewing beer gave the experience a true local flavour. We will definitely be coming back and trying out some more of the menu!
