Lovely food and good service but we went on a Saturday evening which was very busy and so very loud. Also had quite a wait for our pre-booked table but overall a good experience and would definitely revisit, possibly when it's a little less busy!

Popped by on a November Saturday evening with my partner to get some delicious gelato. We have been to the Bath and Oxford locations, but not Bristol! We love the seating area so you can sit in and enjoy your gelato regardless of the weather outside. The staff were super warm and friendly, allowing us to try a couple of samples before deciding and helping us make decisions. I was blessed with coming by when one of a specials was something I love - peanut butter! This tastes absolutely amazing, super creamy for a sorbetto and a very strong peanut flavour with some chocolate ripples. The hazelnut and chocolate brownie were also both incredible, rich and strong flavours, wonderfully smooth. We would highly recommend Swoon 🙂

We've been coming to Da Mario's for years now, always enjoyed it and been using Uber Eats to order to home for a few months now, and again, never a problem. Until our order on 27th November where my partner ordered a Vegetarian for myself and a Ciao for herself (which she always gets) - the description on both Uber and their website advises "chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn" ... nothing else. My partner is allergic to onions, and has had this pizza many times with no problem. However on this occasion after ordering and being notified our Pizza would be with us in 45minutes. We didn't receive it for just under 2 hours and when we finally did, my partners pizza was covered in onions. We called Da Mario's who advised us that we would need to speak to Uber eats who are "24/7" as the order was placed through them, even though it was Da Mario's who' messed the order up, and acknowledged that they made this mistake over the phone. We were unable to get through to Uber eats customer service for several days and they've eventually responded to a complaint raised by email to advise they won't be giving a refund. So to highlight this, we've paid nearly £30 for a couple of cold pizzas that had gone nearly soggy due to how long they took to get to us, one of which was made completely wrong by the restaurant and my partner couldn't eat and we're out of pocket.... Not happy. I'd like to think the restaurant would acknowledge this and offer some form of compensation, even it was to come in for a free pizza, but I'm never confident with places taking ownership these days of situations like this. Shame after being regular customers for nearly 5 years.

Go here, you won't regret it. Looking at the reviews, it appears quite a few people that visit this brilliant restaurant are not from Bristol, I am. Odd thing is I haven't eaten here in about 40 years. I can be forgiven as I have lived overseas for 30 plus years, but here's the great thing. Over 40 years since opening, they have not just survived which is more than can be said for a lot of other good Bristol eating establishments, but they have maintained the highest quality of food and service. It was only Tuesday when I went, but the place was packed and I am pretty sure if I hadn't reserved, I might not have gotten a table. Food quality is not only about great taste and options, it's also about consistency, portion sizes, taste expectations and personal preference options are all taking into account, I am not sure that many locals read reviews here as it would not exactly be a 'trip', but the (once younger) owner Andy, assured me that the locals still know how good it is too. Bristol has changed massively over the years, it's very relieving that some great places have retained the character that it deserves. I'll definitely be back, lets hope before the golden anniversary! PS when will that be?

Beautiful authentic Italian food served with a smile (and a little banter). We found this restaurant by pure luck as we were visiting Swindon outlet centre. It is a short drive from there but well worth it. I'm a bit picky when it comes to lasagne, but this one did not disappoint.. Awesome! Me and my wife had to roll out of there as we were so stuffed. Will definitely go back when in Swindon again.

We are new to the area and have past this lovely Georgian building. Today we had lunch here. Wow what a lovely place. The staff are lovely and we were greeted with a lovely warm and friendly welcome. Mussels and the most delicious chunky chips and ciabatta and he had the lobster ravioli in a prawn sauce with a cheeky side of garlic bread. It was delicious. Just the right size portion of mussels and cooked to perfection-not a closed one in there and no beards or grit! Delicious sauce too. The lobster ravioli was also delicious with huge prawns in the sauce. A glass of wine each too! We will be back

Great service and great food, picked this place at random the first night of a two night stay and were not disappointed. Staff looked after us well without being over attentive. The food was well presented and more importantly well prepared and very tasty. My wife chose the minute steak and was not disappointed. We enjoyed the experience so much we went back on the second night as well! Thank you all at the Aqua Brasserie for two nights of great food and fab cocktails!
