Beautiful cozy Italian restaurant. Me and my partner love coming here, Im a vegetarian and he is a meat eater, there are lots of options for both of us and the food and drinks are always delicious, service is brilliant as always, I couldn’t recommend it more!

Recent visit with my son, service and food were top quality, lovely basement restaurant giving a true Mediterranean feel, I had a prawn starter my son chose the mussels, both were superb, for mains I had one of the best spag bols and my son a very acceptable mushroom risotto all washed down with a nice Chianti, will definitely be returning.

If you want to feel you have been transported to Italy for an evening then try massimos. Pizzas amazing, and so filling you can request a box to take home the remaining food. A lovely dining experience from start to finish.

Warm welcome, very cosy, cute - authentic and that’s just the restaurant! We ordered 7 meals - all excellent and the pizza is the best we’ve EVER had! They didn’t hesitate to personalise our meals at our request - they simply wanted to make sure we enjoyed our celebration. Daniel was friendly, helpful, and brilliant at his job ❤️ Daniel couldn’t do more hospitality wise. Definitely will return and 💯 recommend. Thank you so much! ❤️

Was looking for an Italian restaurant close by on our stay in Devizes. Massimo’s looked the part and the menu appealed. On arrival the place looked really cute from the outside and walking down the stairs and into the restaurant opened us up into a lovely little place that felt authentic Italian. Service was friendly and food arrived in good time. Potion sizes were impressive, and as a Pizza lover I went for Ham, mushroom & Pepperoni and added Artichokes. Best pizza I have eaten in years!! What I couldn’t eat I took back to our hotel. Defo worth a visit

Excellent hidden gem, amazing food, we all had pastas which were great, other tables had pizzas that looked fantastic, be warned they are large. The staff were friendly and helpful, a decent price for great food.

Went for a romantic meal with my partner on a Thursday evening. Waitor was very helpful and the service and food was excellent. Recommend the Fettucine Salsicce. All the pizzas are fantastic and have the authentic Italian taste. The house red is also delicious and works perfectly with most of the dishes. Grazi!

Pizza was pretty sub-par for what is advertised as a ristorante. Far too much cheese (not even mozzarella) and other ingredients not up to scratch. Drinks menu wasn't up to date either with items no longer supplied. Service and staff were good however.

This is such a wonderful restaurant. We were there for my sons 18th birthday. They had put poppers on the table and allowed me to bring a cake. The food was absolutely delicious as always.

Maybe Monday is a bad night but we certainly didn’t get the 5* experience others seem to have had Further to your response below and subsequent email exchange I wish to make it clear that this IS a genuine review. Sorry if I have hurt your feelings but on this particular occasion the meal was very disappointing.

In the morning we were outside, looking at the menu when a gentleman came along and offered to get us a menu to take away with us. (Presumably this was Massimo himself). We liked what was on offer so returned in the early evening. Very warm welcome from the young waiter. Although we were the only diners, the background music was good and we didn't feel awkward. Others arrived later on. This was a Monday night which one would expect to be quiet. We shared a portion of Bruschetta between us as a starter. This was just how we like it, so it was a good start. For Mains I had Lasagne and my husband had the Milanese. Beef, rather than veal, but he said it melted in the mouth. This was accompanied by a huge portion of chips, salad and vegetables and he had difficulty in finishing it. My Lasagne was perfect with excellent minced beef, which also was extremely tender. We finished with Tiramisu which was delicious. All in all we had a superb meal in atmospheric surroundings. The dining area is down a flight of stairs, but with handrails either side.

Good food. Server was unpolished (calling us ‘mate’ rather than ‘sir’ for example) and working hard run off his feet with only 2 tables occupied on a mid week evening - server was friendly and helpful - he just needs to be more ‘polished’ in the approach. Food was good quality and tasty. Would return when visiting the area again.

The absolute best authentic Sicilian food. Fresh ingredients married with fantastic service, Massimo and the team make this local Italian a brilliant place to go. Highly recommended for a casual meal, special celebration and family get togethers.

We've been going to Massimo's for many years and we've always had an amazing meal. We went for our Christmas meal, Shanai and Massimo were really friendly and wonderful hosts, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. I can recommend the Calzone, it's very tasty and it's huge, so turn up with an empty stomach. I can honestly say, it's the best Calzone I've ever had.....and I've eaten a lot of them in my time! All the other meals our friends had looked very tasty too and they all thought the food was delicious. A very authentic and traditional Italian restaurant, with wonderful staff, its well worth a visit and you won't be disappointed!

We ordered a pepperoni and jalapeño and a Hawaiian. Both pizza bases were very chewy and quite thick I couldn't manage more than two slices. There wasnt really tomato sauce on both pizzas this might have been the reason why they were tasteless apart from the strong taste of vinegar or brine on the pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. The ingredients did not taste fresh the herbs were dried herbs only. The ham on the Hawaiian was very thick cold and had no colour like it came straight from a packet and lumped together. The jalapeño was also very thick. I was very surprised I thought it would be very good here and it wasn't we wouldn't return.

Absolutely brilliant evening! It was a birthday celebration and the restaurant had put up a birthday banner over our table, such a lovely touch and a birthday brownie at the end of the meal. All the waiters were friendly and the manager was so warm and welcoming and we all felt really looked after. The food was beautifully wholesome and so delicious- arrive hungry as portions are generous. We will define being coming back again 😊

We went for an impromptu dinner around 7:30 yesterday evening (Thursday). Although a midweek evening in January, there were still more occupied tables than not - a sign that we'd made the right choice! We shared a piccante pizza, chips and a green salad which were all delicious. Friendly attentive staff too. Would definitely come again to try a pasta dish!

Dined here 2 weeks ago on 24/11/2023 when visiting Devizes, 7 of us in total. The food was delicious and excellent, and we all thoroughly enjoyed. However, unfortunately we were a bit disappointed by the slow service and time we had spent waiting, especially when we had submitted our order the night prior and arrived at the restaurant on time. Everything else was okay.

Hidden gem in the centre of Devizes. Senay and Massimo work incredibly hard to ensure friendly and efficient service is given along with excellent ingredients, well portioned home made Sicilian food... and the tiramisu is the best I've ever had in an italian restaurant including in Italy! We loved our meal and will certainly be back!

The main course of chicken, mozzarella and ham was full of delicious flavours.

It was almost empty on a Tuesday night but this is a lovely authentic Italian restaurant, even if the server was local! I wanted large prawns in spaghetti cooked in garlic. It wasn’t on the menu but the chef obliged and fulfilled my wishes. It was delicious and should be a signature dish! Always a good evening, even when unbelievably empty!

Massimo's is awesome! The food is just perfect, the family are so lovely and welcoming that run the restaurant, the service is first class..... by far our favourite family treat - the pizza is out of this world!!!! 🍕🍕🍕

We have taken visitors to Massimo's the last two Fridays. On each occasion the service and food were excellent and both our groups of visitors thoroughly enjoyed their evenings!!

I have never, ever had a bad meal here. The food is all genuinely freshly cooked. The service is always friendly…and always ready to be adaptable. Favourites are the saltimbocca and the wonderful tiramisu.

We love going to Massimos, the pizzas are amazing. The service is always nice and friendly. It's a charming, tucked away little place. I love the old Italian music they play, it creates a nice atmosphere.

Massimos is a little Italian gem in Devizes. From the authentic atmosphere to the delicious food (especially the pizzas!), you're guaranteed a wonderful meal here. I have been many, many times (and ordered takeaways) and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an independent eatery. The friendly and patient staff are always very accommodating about my food requirements offering both gluten-free pizza and pasta options. And my friends who are strict vegetarians have always been well looked after and understood. If I could give 6 stars, I would!!

Rather gloomy and tired basement with relics of 1970s furnishing. Slow service (30 minutes for standard pasta dishes to arrive at 8pm, when restaurant half full). Most amazingly, they had no bolognese sauce that night - and our chosen dessert had been deleted from menu. Reasonable prices for pizza and pasta dishes but pricey alcoholic drinks (small beer £5.50, small glass of wine £7.75), so we opted for apple juice and tonic. These drink prices would be reasonable in a rooftop restaurant in Florence, but not in a Devizes basement !

We had an absolutely delicious take away. It was easy to order. We had starters and pizzas which were so good. Highly recommended.

Taken out by my daughter and husband for a surprise meal. Superb food freshly cooked and delicious with no hidden service charge. Will definitely be adding this to my govto places and will definitely return

Delicious fresh pizza - one of the best. Lots of others clearly think the same as it was busy on a Wednesday evening. If you are in Devizes this little place is well worth visiting.

We had a lovely meal here. The service was friendly and efficient and there was a nice vibe to the place. The tables were nicely spaced so you could have some privacy and portion sizes were decent, not too much and not too little. There was a wide variety of options on the menu and you could visit many times without eating the same thing twice.

Only spending a day in Devizes, found this fantastic restaurant. Staff found us a table, on a very busy Tuesday Evening. Food was exceptional, thought we were back in Italy. Staff very friendly, loved the plates. Generous portions. Will definitely come back to this fantastic restaurant when we next visit Devizes. Thank you 😊 x

Lovely bistro type cafe. Very Italian menu all made there. Staff very nice, efficient. Nearly always busy but found a table everytime we have visited. Highly recommended, as is the full restaurant downstairs.

Massimo's is a frequent favourite of our family and I have spent my last 3 birthdays there, the atmosphere is warm and beautiful, you really feel like youve found a piece of italy in little old devizes. We have tried multiple meals and the food is always stand out! The quality hasnt changed over many years, I Couldnt reccomend enough !!

Our meals last night were delicious, all freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. Risotto, spaghetti Carbonara and Pizza. Would definitely recommend and we will rebook without a doubt. Excellent!

Entering Massimos, down a flight of stairs, is like emerging into a little bit of Italy! We received a warm welcome, and service was lovely throughout. The food arrived in generous portions and was very tasty. Our starter of tomatoes on bruschetta had a very unctuous and delicious topping, but unfortunately the bruschetta was cooked a tad too much and so was tricky to cut. My main of sea bass (from the Specials menu) was very delicious and beautifully cooked. The topping on my husband’s pizza was also generous and very tasty - the pizza base itself was just a little bit thick for his personal taste. Overall a lovely experience. We would definitely go back.

I have been there multiple times and I love it I have to say best food I have ever had.

Food was fantastic. First time I have been in and loved it. Would highly recommend this one. Had a pizza and a side of chips and I had to take home a doggy bag as the pizza is huge.

I went in for coffee cakes and pastries were good. Coffee was really weak. I had a latte and my mother had a cappuccino. I drank mine as I was very thirsty, my mother left hers as she didn't like the taste far too milky. Needless to say not the best coffee in town. I was hoping for a decent cuppa being Italian. I offered to take my mother's coffee back but my mother is old school and didn't want a fuss. Not that it would've been. That said the atmosphere and decor was very good. Clean and tidy

Une bonne carte des vins avec un Nero d’Avola excellent, des spaghettis et un risotto à ce casser le ventre et un cannoli craquant comme il faut à la ricotta et ayant séjourné plusieurs fois en Italie je peux me vanter de m’y connaître. Un grand bravo au chef et au personnel très prévenant avec les clients.

Went for an evening meal to celebrate the other half’s birthday. The experience was 5* from start to finish. We had a starter and two mains. Service was quick which was amazing as they were almost full up. The food was cooked perfectly and and the portion sizes exceeded expectations. Staff were also very friendly. I honestly could not fault this vist. Will definitely be returning. Great job!

Teo's is an excellent brunch stop, with a very helpful lady on the counter who made you feel like an old friend. Top notch coffee and the cake! Delectable!

So with my son and wife decided to go out for dinner as we were getting home too late to cook for ourselves. Massimos is a out of the way down to the basement type restaurant that we had never tried before. It is worth going down to it. Portions are a great size and if anything a little too big for me. But that's me. Prices are reasonable, on par with any other restaurant. Service was good and staff were pretty friendly. I would definitely visit again.

I was taken to this lovely Italian coffee shop that I didn't know existed The cakes were so good, Ferrero, Amaretto and extremely large doughnut. The coffee was good, the staff were lovely. Pastries looked good too. It's worth a visit. Lunch time pasta and pizza. May have to go back for those.

Always a good place . It's not fancy (nor basic) but the wine in particular is great and the food very good and plentiful. The Pizza is HUGE !!

Excellent resteraunt we had cannelloni with garlic bred delicious my husband had chicken breast in mushroom sauce 2 glasses of house red delicious followed by zabaglione which was the best I have ever tasted absolutely amazing then to finish liqueur coffee and limoncello . Visited today Boxing Day as a spur of the moment first place we noticed that was open. We had the most gorgeous hot chocolate and lasagne each and honestly was the best lasagne either of us have ever eaten. Will definitely be back so glad we stumbled across. And staff really lovely and welcome believe it’s recently under new management.

We booked 3 days in advance for 5 of us, 2 children and 3 adults. Unfortunatly one of the children was unwell just before we left to drive into town. We explained that we were now down to 4 . This was not met with a very friendly attitude. In fact grumpy is how I would describe it. We waited while the ( Grumpy owner ? ) went through the HASSLE of removing one set of cutlery and a napkin, to reset the table for 4. I noticed that all the other customers we treated to a smile and an enquiery as to wether they were happy with there meal. We however were ignored ? We decided to forgo the discretional 10% tip. However the food was excellent. We would order a takeaway but not visit the restaurant again. 6/10
