The best restaurants serving Italian food in Brighton and Hove South East

We got sat right in front of the pizza oven which caused my partner to overheat and panic. When we asked to move, we had to wait for a while. When we finally got sat at a table we ordered drinks and 2 pizzas one of the pizzas being gluten free. It took a very long time ,around half an hour, to bring us our drinks which was just tap water. When we finally got our pizzas my partner who had order the GF pizza had a severely undercooked base and the toppings were a complete joke. The pizza was a pool of tomato sauce and 3 strings of cheese. when we brought up the problem to one of the servers she took the pizza back and asked the chef to add more cheese but brought it back and explained that the pizza oven could not handle the additional cheese. she then brought back a dollop of melted cheese in a bowl and said this is they best that they could do. My partner then requested a completely new pizza because the pizza was completely inedible. it then took them a further 40 minutes to replace the pizza and by that time my own pizza was stone cold and the entire experience was just awful. Finally, they had the nerve to put on a £5 service charge when we got the bill in total we left £50 poorer, unsatisfied and on the verge of heatstroke. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

We stopped to enjoy Lunch here, after the Brighton half marathon on Sunday. It was exceptionally busy, and we were well looked after by Sofia. She was amazing and very attentive! We came here mostly for the menu, and it was definitely worth the visit. The standout dishes were, Smoked mozzarella bites (cheese pull was insane), Fiorentina and Double Pepperoni & Hot Honey pizza. Amazing food, made even better by the quality of service. Worth repeat visits. Thank you. Did not disappoint.

Excellent food & friendly service. Reasonable prices too. I had the pasta (perfectly cooked) with duck ragu; a generous portion of robustly flavoured food. My wife had sea bream which she pronounced to be delicious though paired with a heavily flavoured Jerusalem artichoke & tomato sauce which perhaps drowned out the delicacy of the fish. I visited Amici yesterday afternoon with some friends after being let down by another restaurant, and I just want to extend my thanks to one of the waitresses, Eva. As well as being super friendly and great with recommendations, she also went far above and beyond her role. Unfortunately, I became quite unwell during the meal, and she and my two friends took excellent care of me throughout what was quite a scary time for me and all of us. Eva, you are an absolute star and Amici is lucky to have you. ✨

First, the service was impeccable, something that has to be highlighting in a great restaurant that makes an evening special. Pair that with great food and you have 2 solid reasons why you should go here haha! The pineapple pizza special was what drew me in, supporting local food banks too. Never did I expect pineapple to work so well on pizza, as someone who was undecided on Hawaiian. Spicy, sweet, salty and crispy, it worked so well with the cheese and they really have cracked it. Drinks were great too, as well as the ceaser salad which was the perfect addition to the meal - always with anchovies of course. I almost forgot, but the gelato and crust dips were insane as well. Highly recommend the cherry and choccy gelato and smoked garlic dip. Trust me! The service remained impeccable all night, giving me a great time and a night to remember. Value for money is insane for Brighton too, being stuffed for roughly £15 if the pizza does it for you. Get down here now, it’s fab!

Really enjoyed food and service. I had the carbonara and it knocked mine into a cocked hat! Friend has Calzone which I tried and we both loved.

Fantastic authentic Napoli pizza! This was the best pizza we’ve had in Brighton, especially take away. We had a Napoli, Diavola and a mozzarella and garlic pizza. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be ordering regularly. We have visited Naples many times and this is just what you would get in Napoli.
