The food did not match the Google ratings and our expectations. Pasta was very overcooked and hardly seasoned. We ate most of it because we were very hungry. The portions were very big though and the service was very nice.

Visited Saturday night, full restaurant. Service was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Food was amazing and portion size was very good. Will definitely come back.

It's a pleasant enough environment but when there a a few groups in there the noise is too much and you cannot hold a normal conversation. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Gnocchi was good, calzone not so good, very limited in the filling, I thought the pizza base had a bit of an odd flavour, but can't identify what it was. Definitely had better locally both pizza and calzone. Overall it was a passable meal, not overpriced but the high ceiling let the noise get a bit much but maybe that's just me.

We fancied a tasty Italian and we saw this inviting and welcoming restaurant from opposite of the street. We popped in without a reservation for dinner on a Saturday and we're accommodated. We enjoyed traditional pasta and starters followed by sweet treats. All great for value for money and super tas6⁵ty 😋. The staff were friendly and the owner poped by for a chat as we might expect from an Italian restaurant to make you feel welcome .

Ordered caprese salad and carbonara, with wine and aperol spritz. 10/10 service, fresh ingredients and delicious traditional Italian cooking. Was stuffed full but managed to make room for dessert, which was also delicious. Would definitely come here again!!

5 star service experienced here for a family meal. It’s a really nice restaurant that has a calm feel to it. 6 of us had varied meals fish, pasta, pizza - all finished their plates was fantastic. All had desserts too - all trying something different and plates cleared. Would definitely recommend, they can’t do enough for you.

This is by far and away the best Italian restaurant in Hove. The food is amazing and the fish very high quality. Angelo the owner and Fetih the head waiter are absolutely fantastic and always ensure people have a great time. The talented chef is Italian and has clearly operated at the highest levels in his career. I went with my son and his friends for a birthday dinner and all six of the boys aged 12 to 14 had great food with no complaints. We last visited for a birthday meal in December and it was excellent then also. Could not recommend Topolino highly enough, and I don't often say that (especially in Brighton and Hove). We will be back very soon!!

THE BEST SEAFOOD RISOTTO I HAVE EVER HAD!!! My first visit to Topolina, and I’ll definitely be returning. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, and I had the pleasure of meeting the head chef. I haven’t tasted authentic Italian cuisine like this since I was in Italy, I would highly recommend this restaurant and the price is so reasonable considering the quality of food and service you receive.

Such a lovely meal tonight - I was on my own as staying overnight for work, but they were so lovely and welcoming, so didn’t feel on my own at all! Food was fab, will definitely visit again.

Wonderful restaurant. We held a large family lunch here and the staff were absolutely great at accommodating everyone's needs. The food and drink were excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed, unhurried, and friendly.

Incredibly cozy restaurant of Italian cuisine. Each dish is prepared with love and is incredibly tasty. The smell of home comfort and peace hangs in the air. I would like to single out the bread that they prepare on their own: it is the taste of my mother's aromatic pastries. Service at the highest level. Definitely recommend!

The staff there are lovely and amazing! All the dishes are so good and yummy. And I think that Tiramisu is a must as the dessert. Highly recommend this place and definitely will come back again.

Amazing service, Mario and Angelo were so charming and really lovely to my son (3), it made his holiday and consequently mine! The atmosphere overall was good, as was the food, the specials were lovely, but it was the service that elevated it from the surrounding restaurants and made our experience very special and truly memorable. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Tonight was my 5th visit to this Hove delight! If you are looking for fabulous food, superb service and ambient atmosphere then look no further. This place is hands down THE best Italian in Brighton and Hove. The menu is not extensive, you are not presented with pages and pages of choice, but what you do get is without a shadow of doubt excellent quality food at a beyond reasonable price. And if you manage to make it to desert, my oh my, the homemade selection is damn awesome! Honestly, don’t bother considering anywhere else - you will NOT be disappointed!

Lovely place with delicious seafood. Ordered from here last year and never forgot about the scallops. Wasn't disappointed. The scallops are a must-try! Service is perfect and very friendly.

We had a booking for 4 people to celebrate my son’s birthday. Unfortunately we couldn’t go as one of us wasn’t feeling well. I placed the order and collected it and we are at home. The lasagna was absolutely delicious and so was the garlic bread and tiramisu. The staff were very friendly and understanding when I cancelled the reservation. I am so happy to have found a real Italian restaurant with genuine flavours. Grazie!!!

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to after dining at this restaurant with my partner last weekend. We stumbled upon this place, walking through Hove, having been out for a few drinks. My go-to is always an Italian, and what a find this was. We received a really friendly welcome from staff, as we hadn't booked, and they were very busy, but we were lucky enough to be seated at a lovely table by the window. We could not fault the service at all. Soooooo helpful. GREAT MENU!!!! The food was absolutely outstanding!!! We recommend anything, Seafood! Freshly made pasta, pizzas are to die for. I had scallops to start....omg deeeeelicious. My partner loves fried squids, which again....amazing. I really fancied a seafood pizza, which isn't on the menu, but they made it for me anyway, which was incredible. For me, it was as good if not better than VIP pizza in Brighton. My partner had their seafood spaghetti. He enjoyed every mouthful, and he got so much seafood. This has become our favourite Italian by far in Hove. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

This is a new place in Hove that is well worth a visit! First time eating here and it was unreal. The food was delicious and full of flavour. Big portion sizes. We had pasta and personally i think it was the best quality in Brighton. The dishes are a great value for money and the baba desert is the best i’ve ever tasted! Homemade too. Would definitely come again :)
