Purezza Brighton in Brighton and Hove

A brilliant Saturday night pizza dinner. Only thing I’d change would be to show the same love to the puddings that you do to the mains. Great pizza in a buzzy atmosphere. Would come back!

Fantastic pesto pizza, really enjoyed it. Great service, thank you. Only issue is being given a QR code to scan to pay is well sketchy - something not quite right here. I asked to pay with card machine, which was no problem, but I had to ask.

For a dairy-free tiramisu, this one oozed confidence. Cream? Thick. Sweetness? Tastefully restrained. Cocoa? A generous bitter flourish to keep everything in balance. But I do need to address the lack of coffee... Despite the other elements pulling their weight, only a whisper of coffee made it to the mouth party, opposed to the caffeinated monologue I was hoping for. As you can expect, this lead to the sponge leaning dry, and when paired with that dense cream it starts to step away from your typical tiramisu experience. That said, dietary requirements or not, you’re bound to have a good time with this one - and it just might offer a fresh new lens through which to enjoy everyone’s favourite Italian creamy indulgence. Best pizza I’ve had in 10+ years as a vegan!

Rachel and Izzy were lovely waitresses I went in on Thursday and their service was fantastic. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and cold. Also, the second I walked in, I immediately had such a bad feeling about the place. Very dirty and unkept. I hope this is fixed soon. Will not be returning.

Pizza was excellent, I couldn't tell the difference compared to an actual cheese one. Would be nice to have some healthy fresh salads though. The Caesar salad was quite heavy alongside the pizza, wouldn't order it again. Parmigiana pizza was one of the best pizzas I've ever had full stop

I went alone for dinner before a music gig and wow a lovely service and pizza. I had a black truffle pizza sourdough bread so lovely. I also ordered a dessert but was not charged for it. I tipped them £2 instead when paying. The whole menu is vegan which I love and lots of amazing choices to have. I'd definitely go again.

Food is great but they use a payment system that tries to trick you into paying two service charges and then adds on a 50p charge for using the app. Why do I need to pay a fee just to pay my bill.

Such a great experience! We know that Purezza is always a great bet. We visited on a Tuesday lunchtime and ordered way too much food.. the meatballs and doughballs were amazing as always! The courgetti was so delicious too. We didn’t manage to finish our pizzas but took them along the way with us, as a snack with a couple beers. Melinda was super efficient with our orders and we’ve had everything on the table in no time, making it a very smooth experience!

Came here on a busy Saturday night without a reservation, we were accommodated at the counter section. The food was delicious and the service attentive and cheerful from the server. When I accidentally left an Amazon package I had collected, she ran quite some way down the street to give it to me. The place being so busy, this was so thoughtful of her. Thank you so much, it was the icing on the cake of a lovely evening 🙏

Noble readers and those who know about culinary delights, It is with deep regret that I have to report on my experience at the Purezza restaurant in Brighton, a place that is unfortunately not worthy of recommendation. The vegan pizza I was served was a real disaster. A completely inedible meal that in no way did justice to the highest art of cooking. Too salty, and the “cheese” used in this unspeakable dish tasted nothing like what you would imagine a delicious, melty cheese to be – a real nuisance to the palate. But it wasn't just the food that failed to meet my expectations. The volume of the music that permeated the entire restaurant was so oppressive that any conversation became a challenge. As if this were not enough, the service was also not very polite - which made the visit to this place even more unpleasant. All in all, I can only give this establishment the lowest rating. A place I cannot recommend under any circumstances. Drawn, A disappointed guest who regrets a sobering 1 out of 5 stars

I ordered the 'Award Winning' Parmigiana Pizza. Literally no cheese, and so soggy. This is definitely the lowest in my ranking of Pizza places. Absolutely nothing special about this pizza or the place in general. I would avoiddd !

Absolutely love Purezza pizza. Such a great vegan menu. Particular highlights are the lasagne pizza, the free kids’ pizzas, the cheesy dough balls and the tiramisu. We have been to the London and Manchester restaurants more times than I can remember and have always raved about every aspect of the restaurant, this is the first branch that we felt let down by the service and general vibe. Aside from that, the food is incredible but we definitely will return to the London and Manchester restaurants over this one.

Food was okay, had a margarita pizza. Not the worst I've had. When it came to pay, we were given a qr code which takes you to a website with a non removable 12.5%service charge, nearly £2 extra for our pizza to be brought over 10 steps to us. Not only that, there was a 50p charge for paying on the app.. I doubt they get repeat custom so rely solely on people who aren't aware of the hidden fees

I've visited Purezza every time I make the trip to Brighton. I love the food! And the staff are welcoming. I really wish there was a Purezza in the Midlands (please open one in Leamington Spa!)

Honestly, it’s gonna be one of the top three pizzeria is in town and it’s plant based 🙌🏻 I took my brother here. He is far from vegetarian metal and vegan and he got halfway through his pepperoni pizza and could not believe that it wasn’t part based when I told him. Street is vibey as is the restaurant staff are great and the food is fantastic 👌🏼 +Beak brewery beer on tap 😋 Buon appetito!

Went in to ask about food allergies. Initially the staff said there are nuts in the kitchen but it would probably be okay. I then asked about cross contamination as they have a pistachio pizza and it turns out they use the same oven to cook everything so definitely not nut allergy friendly. Also use cheese etc with nuts

Cannot fault the food here! I have been multiple times, and it has always been delicious. They have a well thought out menu, with pizza toppings that are spot on together and the base also very traditional. They use the finest ingredients; we had camembert and black truffle on ours! I would say the place was a little crampt, if you were in one of the booths or near the window I think it would have been a lovely place to sit, but the tables in the middle where we sat were very close to each other. Pros: Fancy pizza toppings, Delicious dessert Cons: A bit crampt in, Staff weren't that friendly

Purezza serves up some seriously delicious pizza with tons of options—which makes sense, since it’s a fully vegan pizza joint. The restaurant is small but packed with people, yet thankfully it didn’t get too loud or noisy like many busy places do. The drinks were great, with a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. We tried the pepperoni and agave pizza as well as the margherita. Both were good, but the pepperoni and agave really stood out—it had more flavor and became my favorite. We’ll definitely come back if we get the chance. If you’re craving good, fully vegan pizza, this is the spot. Just be smart and make a reservation—it was really popular, and we were just lucky to get a table as walk-ins.

J’ai payé bien plus que les 10% standards au UK pour un service très très basique. 🇬🇧 Excellent vegan pizzas! However, be careful with tips / service fees: there were several options on the POS and the waitress directly applied the highest ones without my consent. I paid much more than the 10%, quite standard in the UK for a service very basic. ——— Update 14th of April after Purezza’s answer: I agree it’s important to provide an accurate information that’s why I would like to add that no bill has been presented to me. I just saw the waitress adding the fees and I was presented with the payment terminal, that’s not what I call optional or at customer’s discretion. Talking about misleading guests: What I find misleading, on the contrary, is not providing transparent information to the customer. To end on a more positive note: the pizzas were excellent but be careful in case you don’t want these fees being applied.

Unfortunately our pizzas lacked a depth of flavour and just tasted ... Wrong somehow. Makes sense that the "pepperoni" and cheese would be a bit different given the vegan theme, but even the dough and tomato sauce were very flat. We had much better pizza elsewhere. A potato side also disappointed (again, barely cooked and lacking flavour), but they did make a great Caesar salad.

Someone had suggested that I try out Purezza at Brighton for some great plant based food. I must say I really enjoyed the food. The Parmigiana Party Pizza was really good but the dough balls were just fabulous. The customer service was excellent and the restaurant was clean and well maintained.

Ate here two nights in a row cos the pizzas were so good! Had the Four Cheese Pizza and the Black Truffle Pizza, as well as the Parmigiana small plate. All were delicious. The waitstaff was also super lovely!

Thank you for your detailed response—I appreciate you taking the time to address my concerns and provide further context. While I understand that it was a busy evening, I must clarify a few points. Although the waiting times in my initial review may have been somewhat exaggerated in frustration, the extended delay in receiving something as simple as tap water was indeed excessive. Despite the restaurant being full, I noticed at least two staff members who appeared unoccupied, with one seemingly using their phone at the bar. This gave the impression that the delay was due to inattentiveness rather than the busyness of the service. Regarding the gluten-free pizza, while I appreciate that your dough is made fresh—a rarity that those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance greatly value—the execution was disappointing. The base was undeniably undercooked and soggy, making it inedible. While I understand the complexities of working with gluten-free dough, offering a product so far below standard diminishes the experience for those with dietary restrictions. It reduces what should be an inclusive offering to something that feels like an afterthought, making it unfair for those simply wanting to enjoy the same quality of food as others. Additionally, the solution of providing a bowl of melted cheese instead of remaking the pizza immediately was both impractical and disheartening. It felt like a makeshift fix rather than a genuine effort to resolve the issue. Finally, while I acknowledge the gesture of charging my power bank as a courtesy, this was neither necessary nor relevant to the issues at hand. It did not compensate for the poor dining experience, and mentioning it as though it were an exceptional service gesture felt somewhat disingenuous. I do appreciate your willingness to engage with feedback, but I stand by my overall disappointment with the visit. I hope you are able to take this feedback constructively and make the necessary improvements to ensure better experiences for future guests. Kind regards

such a lovely atmosphere and the booths are so comfortable, decorated with plants and throw pillows. the service is wonderful and it’s a big bonus they offer student discount on pizzas! you can buy the amazing cheese they use at the front of the restaurant and the food is delicious! the small plates were fab and the drinks were so beautifully done - they added fresh pomegranates to my pomegranate juice! 10/10!!

Had a fantastic meal at Purezza on the 14th of February! The pizza was incredible—perfectly cooked with great flavors. The mac and cheese was a standout, and the tiramisu was the perfect ending to the meal. Big shout-out to the chef for making such delicious food. Highly recommend this place!

I'm a loyal customer and have enjoyed Purezza over the years, but unfortunately have been disappointed on the last few occasions due to burnt food and poor service.

We came here for a get together with friends. We booked in advance as it was a Saturday night This was some of the best pizza i’ve ever had! We definitely over ordered on the food (the second we saw vegan mac & cheese it was over for us), but the option of a takeaway box was there. The pizza is a decent size & so are the sides! when we go back, id probably share a pizza & get as many sides as i could as the garlic focaccia was incredible. 🤌🏻 10/10, if you’re ever in brighton you should defo check this place out 🌱

Bustling, trendy pizzeria, which serves solely vegan food. It can be busy, so boom a table. Personally, and despite being a meat eater, it’s my favourite place for pizza in the city! Delicious sourdough base and the cheeses they use are so tasty. Staff are attentive and apologetic during busy times. Check it out.

Vegan food at its best. I had Parmigiana, and it was delicious. The cesar salad was filling and a generous portion. I had the veggie pizza and somehow his vegan angel had a taste of anchovy which was yum! If you miss cheese, and all gooey cheesy Italian food, they make their own. Great staff, relaxed vibe. Next time I’ll save space for tiramisu!!

Best vegan pizza I've ever had, it's worth the price. I highly recommend the one with pesto. The tomato sauce was so yummy and the cheese was so smooth. I had orange wine which i was pleasantly surprised by. The waitress was really nice.

Nice food, apart from the carrot soup which was quite bland. The pizza and cheezey doughballs were amazing. The mocktails were gorgeous. I was disappointed that a gratuity had been automatically added to the bill. I always tip if I've had a good meal and good service but it really annoyed me that the tip was put on without asking.

Amazing. Food so tasty I never wanted to stop eating it! Great atmosphere, incredible menu. And it’s all vegan! Which is great (as a vegan) but please if you are not a vegan just come here and be amazed.
