Great choice Hadn’t visited the marina for some years We were in the area so decided to stop off for late lunch wasn’t sure what we fancied to eat, initially went into TGI Fridays but It felt too noisy plus after an initial wait to be acknowledged decided we didn’t want to stay Fortunately Came across Veranda Italian & immediately got a very pleasant response even before we entered the building & it was pouring down outside The very friendly guy from tripoli (sorry didn’t get your name) welcomed us in & from the moment we sat down he was incredibly polite, hospitable & very attentive The food was exceptional we both had seafood soup lovely flavours then I had seafood pasta & my partner had spaghetti bolognaise again all cooked to perfection & very tasty We chose our favourite Dessert tiramisu which was also incredibly delicious We felt for the price it was exceptional, great flavours, good portion sizes (great chef) & the waiter made up for the lack of ambience on a wet miserable day with his very friendly & warm personality We hope to return! Very nice set menu, great service and nice ambience. You are not able to book in advance but it is a large venue.

Service good, food great without being exceptional. Unfortunately we went on a very quiet evening Sunday mid October so lacked atmosphere. The server originally from Tripoli was polite efficient and very attentive without being intrusive.

A nice fish restaurant located right on the marina edge. Excellent location and great that there is 4 hours free parking too. The food was tasty and promptly served. The staff friendly and welcoming. Pretty sea themed decor. Had a pleasant evening.

A little gem. Freshly cooked delicious food served with a friendly smile in well appointed surroundings. All their food is treated with care and respect whether it is simple fish and chips or something more special from their seafood dishes. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and very kind staff.

We took our teenage grandson here for a meal after the cinema. From the arancini and calamari rings to sea bass fillets in a creme sauce and swordfish it was totally delicious. It was followed by creme brulee and a chocolate dessert. All were homemade and served in a very cheerful and polite manner. Very competitive prices and a good choice of dishes on the menu from pastas to fish and chicken to name a few. We can highly recommend and will certainly return

Had a very nice meal. It was very quiet while we were there which was a shame. The food was tasty. The service was good. The staff were friendly. Very reasonably priced.

Enjoyed a very tasty meal here tonight. The fish and chips were excellent. My wife had the chicken reale and also enjoyed it. The service was great especially as the fella was on himself. Highly recommended.

Despite the name and menu, this is not an Italian restaurant. Eatable food but nothing to do with Italian cuisine

We were staying nearby and found this restaurant as we were walking round the marina. The staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent. They have a good combination of Italian and British dishes. The arancini and sea bass Napoli were excellent.

Extremely good pasta. My Italian partner said it’s the best he’s had in 5yrs in the UK. We asked & the chef is from Italy. Seafood pasta was a favourite. We ate there twice. I had grilled meat the first time and was very good too. Tasty, clean food. Would give 10 stars if I could.
