The best restaurants serving Italian food in South East

Beautiful food! We all had a different dish each and each one was fantastic, lovely flavours. The staff were so friendly and very attentive. Wonderful spot and certainly recommend. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Popped in for some coffees shortly after we arrived in the village for a day out. Quality of coffee was good and at £6.75 for two, reasonable value. Served in proper cups, bot those horrible disposable ones that they use in Starbucks. Friendly staff. Mastercard cards accepted.

Da en el blanco en todas las áreas - comida, ambiente, autenticidad, limpieza, servicio, etc. Éramos una familia de 5 con 3 niños mayores y un veredicto unánime de “excelente”, fue la opinión, al igual que las otras 243 “excelentes” críticas en Tripadvisor en el momento de la revisión. ¡Sigan trabajando bien, volveremos!

A fabulous place to lunch, great value, truly authentic when they can create off menu requests without any fuss! Great staff, lovely relaxed cafe style atmosphere. Book for dinner, turn up for lunch. Outstanding pasta

This is pur second visit since this fantastic place has re started its BYO Friday and Saturday Evening Resteraunt again. Food is super fresh! Pizzas are incredible! Excellent value 2 or 3 course fixed price options across the menu. Ambiance great, front of house excellent. What can I say, just get back down to those who used to go to the Evening Resteraunt BYO and to those who haven't been yet, try it! We will be back again very soon.

Llegué aquí para encontrar el personal se sentó fuera fumando, pidió un souffle, dijo que tomaría 5 minutos, el personal salió a fumar y se olvidó de mi souffle y se quemó! todo el lugar apestaba a quemado, 20 minutos después llegó el souffle, hacía frío en el medio, experiencia muy decepcionante

We ordered a takeaway from here on Saturday night. Margaretta and a seafood one. Both were cooked to perfection and we had garlic bread as well, which perhaps was a little dry. The staff were friendly and the restsurant clean. Added bonus it has a gin bar opposite and thats where we waited for them. We would go back.

The worst customer service and terrible experience, would not recommend to anyone. The owner is very rude and ignorant.

Mad in Italy 2 has quickly become one of my favourite spots in Gravesend. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, but with a real touch of Italian charm. You can tell they care about the experience from the moment you walk through the door. The food is the real star here. Proper Italian pizza with that perfect thin crust and rich tomato base, and the pasta? Unreal. Full of flavour, cooked just right, and served hot and fresh. I had the carbonara and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had outside of Italy. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff are lovely – helpful, friendly, and full of recommendations if you’re not sure what to order. Highly recommend for date nights, family meals, or even just a catch-up with friends over great food and wine. If you’re looking for proper Italian food in Gravesend, Mad in Italy 2 is the place.

This is a family run restaurant where the food is made to order with love and care. Our lovely host Laura always has time for a quick chat. The ingredients are fresh with a wide range to choose from and they even have gluten free pasta. The Golden Pyramid is, according to my partner the best desert he’s ever had in his life! Always popular but if you dine early, say 6pm you can get a table. We couldn’t get a spot on Valentines Day though as it was packed. It just shows how good the food and atmosphere is.

Greek food today which was very nice. Busy but nice outdoor and indoor areas close to the canal. Lovely cider from Ashford. All in all very enjoyable!

Absolutely delicious and lovely staff - but found hairs baked into my focaccia on three separate occasions! Months apart! Fix that and this place is perfect.

7 keen workers needed a treat so we booked a table for lunch and had the most wonderful, seriously wonderful Pizza's. Everyone was saying it was one of the best pizza's we have ever had. Ice cream and pimms all super. Thanks Team Lusso!

the food is brilliant but but the workers are very rude and unprofessional we ordered 4 pizzas and they only gave us two but when we corrected her she refused and gaslighted us that we were in the wrong. we also encounted two of the workers when we smiled they directly looked at us with dirty looks on their face and whispered as a customer who has human rights I don’t accept rude behaviour of the workers as we are paying for there rude we were a group of girls just smiling wanting some pizzas.i wish I could name these specific two workers as the others are lovely and welcoming and these two girls don’t deserve to working in such a lovely place .

Lovely welcome was a good start. Really enjoyed our meal, with typical Italian fare well cooked and presented. Restaurant got busier as evening went so, clearly popular and we can see why, but probably best to book. Felt prices reasonable for quality. Can definitely recommend.
