The best restaurants serving Italian food in North East

Was here last night 29th February to celebrate a friend's birthday it was perfect staff brilliant and the food was to die for it was lovely my 2nd visit here and I'll be back thank you

I have put positive reviews on before from dining in but I had to add one today for Santanas Sunday Takeaway dinners! They’re outstanding for the price! £11.95 for a full roast & a starter!! Absolutely LUSH! Can’t beat it! I got a take away dinner a few weeks ago from a pub local it was £14.95 and it wasn’t half as nice! Can’t beat a Santanas!

Booked a table for 6 of us today 25.05.25 my 3rd visit and 1st visit for my family. Fabulous food great staff excellent service . The whole family enjoyed it the food was enjoyable and plentiful . Highly recommended 10 out of 10 ! My son is a vegetarian and plenty of options for him ...all very happy customers

Qué fantástico restaurante. Reservado aquí para el almuerzo para el cumpleaños de mi esposa. Llegamos temprano y nos dijeron que podíamos entrar ( reservando para las 12 : 15 llegamos a las 11: 45 ) y se les mostró una mesa de dos plazas pero luego preguntamos si nos gustaría pasar a una mesa con más espacio. El menú es muy bueno y optamos por el especial de dos platos a £ 11. 95 . Mi esposa tenía los hongos de ajo como entrada y Lasaña como principal. Tomé sopa del día y penne cremonlino. Como extra especial nuestro camarero también le dio a mi esposa una rodaja de pastel de chocolate caliente con vela y jugó feliz cumpleaños. Si no has estado aquí sin duda recomendaría no solo por la comida, sino también el ambiente y el servicio. 5 * sin duda volveremos. Muchas gracias a todos.

Visité con mi hija adolescente después de decidir probar en un lugar diferente. Tres tapas por 13 libras. 95 pero muy limitado con qué platos puedes elegir para ese trato. Tenemos tres y añadimos tres platos a precio completo. El servicio era bueno y la comida llegó a su debido tiempo y era sabroso, pero era en el mejor de los casos tibio y los platos más fríos eran los que yo estaba pagando el precio completo, incluyendo un filete en una salsa de pimienta en grano, ambos apenas estaban calientes. El camarero vino a preguntar cómo estaban las cosas y mencioné que la comida no estaba particularmente caliente. Él se ofreció a retirarlo (no estaba seguro de si calentar o reemplazar) pero estábamos a mitad de camino en este punto. Como digo el servicio era bueno, la comida era sabrosa, pero habría sido mucho mejor si hubiera sido más cálido / caliente. Ojalá hubiéramos elegido nuestra opción original.

First time there . Pleasantly surprised. Staff very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was full so they were kept busy. Food was delicious and plentiful . Reasonably priced too. Nice and clean which is always a bonus!

Arrived with a small group, we were immediately seated and given a sample of raspberry lemonade. Attempted to use the app but it didn't work, luckily the staff were super helpful and offered to take our order again after seeing us struggle. The person serving us was fabulous, the staff contributed to the relaxed atmosphere greatly and drinks & food arrived promptly after ordering. However the quality of the food wasn't what I'd expected for the price, I'm sure this has very little to do with kitchen staff but the dishes we ate were all rather disappointing and served as a reminder that when it comes to restaurants we should be avoiding chains like this. It's just never gonna be as good as the smaller local family ran Italian restaurants, which tend to be cheaper and tastier. I probably won't be back but like I said the food wasn't disgusting or anything just aggressively mid, the staff were amazing and the restaurant was clean and tidy.

Pasta was beautiful, chips dry and coldish
