Uno Ristorante Yarm in Stockton-on-Tees

Wasn’t overly impressed with the food , the chips were hard and dry , Parmesan was ok but not very big

We did the happy hour special which was great value considering the huge portions. Service was quick and friendly. They also have a big gluten free menu and don’t charge any extra.

The staff were absolutely lovely and so kind. The food was amazing and the drinks were amazing! Would absolutely come back!

SO NOISY!!! The food is good and the service is excellent but I will not go anymore because of the level of noise… it feels like we are in a canteen and not a restaurant. Lots of parties enjoy going there with often no regards to people around. A real shame.

Come here every few months or so. Food is great, parmo is nice. One time I tried Sunday lunch and it is alright I would say but better at a carvery. However I like this place and will return. I recommend 👍

Visited here for a birthday dinner. Can usually rely on cheap and cheerful and that’s what we were expecting. It was a shambles. Ignored on arrival completely. Situated next to all the knives and forks clattering and staff gossiping about customers. Asked what we wanted to eat before we’d seen a menu. Asked for a drinks list and the waitress replied ‘do you want white, red or rose’. I wanted to see a menu. Ordered some wine and waited and waited. Told there were no wine glasses left. Waited half an hour and were offered champagne flutes. No thanks. How hard is it to get some wine glasses washed or buy some more so you don’t run out. Finally got two (we needed three) and the third one came after over an hour. A basic wine glass for a diner to have a drink! Food was fine. Place ran by kids with no training or customer service. I was asked ‘have you finished with your pizza or what?’ Have been going here for years. Not anymore. I was really disappointed.

Parmos were good 8/10 Food was ok. But the drinks we had Pepsi and lemonade and were awful however thay were flat there was no fizziness whatsoever paid of £105

The chicken sauce with wine was very greasy and watery.. parmo friend had was not very warm! Infact cold in the middle ! microwave quickly! Due to the 5 mins earlier we had just ordered . Nice place pleasant service ! Not a patch on unos in Darlington

My sister booked for 11 of us on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. On arriving we had to wait as the table was still occupied. Service was good after we had been seated. Not the best if you want to talk to others on a long table as it is very noisy and it feels compacted. The food was excellent quality but considering it's an Italian not a lot of vegetarian options compared to other Italian restaurants. The service was excellent and the staff friendly and accommodating.

Well that was an experience, after looking at the happy hour menu (monday-sunday) as it can include one, we all ordered a starter. Starters were lovely. Then came the mains, 2 of which were meant to be in a creamy white sauce, each had enough oil to use on another 4 dishes (really wish id taken a photo of my 'seafood' literally swimming in oil) safe to say I couldn't eat it, neither could another member of our party. Of the other 2 meals at our table, one was so rich and overpowered with garlic, that it got left. Couldn't even finish my drink, that got taken without asking if id finished (the only thing i had left to take the oily taste away) Then came the bill, my meal was taken off (bearing in mind were under the impression we're on happy hour)......turns out, there's info at the bar. Given its table service, you'd probably only notice as you leave, informing customers there is no happy hour today. Maybe inform the customers when they order??? Overall I won't be back for some time, if at all. Left with a bad stomach and an oily taste in my mouth.

The waiter will tell you they don't do small glasses of wine but they do. Be insistent if you are driving

Great range of food and good value, especially early bird options We love the garlic breads pizzas, chicken in peppercorn sauce and the hot shot parmo The chips are amazing . They’re the size of a roast potato Throwing in 2 for 1 cocktails with the early bird option is a great way to start the night without costing a fortune Only criticism is it’s too warm sometime in there

I'm sorry but this was the most unauthentic Italian food I have had possibly in my entire life. Penne Salsiccia sauce was just an overcooked pasta in the thinnest, most watery sauce I have ever tasted and resembled more a Heniz Tomato Soup than sauce. Absolutely no taste. Terrible. They serve the most massacred version of carbonara I have ever seen in my life and try to get away with it. Since when 'creamy white wine sauce with garlic onion and bacon' has anything to do with a carbonara? I mean, you should not be able to get away with this in this day and age. Guanciale, eggs, pecorino and black pepper. How hard can it be? My colleague had chicken Alfredo and it was equally bad. More a soup than pasta. Nobody in that kitchen has ever been to Italy. I'm not local so wasn't aware that it's just a chain in Teesside so possibly my own fault but there's really no excuse to put out such a bad food in such a lovely area. Genuinely feel sorry for local people who spend their hard earned cash there believing they are experiencing Italian cuisine. It has virtually nothing in common with Italian food. Can't blame the service though. Friendly and efficient. Zero issues there. Sorry.

Staff were wonderful especially with younger children! The food was exquisite would highly recommend and will definitely return!

I was away with work and wanted a nice meal in the area. I had the best risotto ever , gigantic portion,very good prices, went back again next day for paninni and again was amazing. Will be visiting on a regular basis. Very good service too

Met friends here for dinner and was surprised at how busy Saturday night was! Food was amazing, service was decent and it's worth the money! Went back the Wednesday following and it was quieter. The lovely atmosphere was still there too. Recommended restaurant!!

I come here every couple months or so and as always food I very nice I recommend linguine as that is always delicious. Also service is great too!

Service was rubbish, servers were rude and atmosphere made me and the group i was with feel very uncomfortable and very judged and everyone was left feeling disappointed as we were meant to be having a celebratory meal. absolutely gutted. and to top it all off, when recieving the bill we were charged for pint size drinks even when asking for large drinks specifically however the uncomfortable atmosphere made us all equally feel as though we couldn’t bring this up with any server leaving us even more disappointed. would NOT recommend.

Every time we asked the staff for something they rolled their eyes and would go back to the bar visibly talking about our table and sniggering. When receiving our tab at the end we were all charged for pint drinks when we had specifically ordered larges, adding 3.50 to our tab when we were all already on a budget. Felt taken advantage of as this was the second time we had gone and been charged for pints when we clearly did not order them, this did not happen when I visited with adults yet when visiting with friends it happened each time.

Good quality, good value for money. Well worth a visit.

I came by this morning for a brunch. The breakfast menu is quite simple. We had basical English breakfast and they was good. The coffee was very nice, hot enough. At the beginning we came, the manager (I think) frowned his face when we asked for the table at 5pp and two baby prams, even the space was huge, only few customers, but he took time to choose the table at the corner and at the end for us. I was not happy ab that. However, he was friendly and supported after then. Thanks.

Always good service here & delicious food! We go often for lunch as its my kids favourite & we've never had a bad experience! It can get very busy so book in advance

Brilliant, came with our 19yr old grandaughter for lunch. Everything we had was really nice, food was hot and large portions. All staff were very pleasant. Wish we lived nearer.

Visited today for the first time, and was very impressed. Food is excellent and brilliant value for money during the day. Service was, on the whole, excellent, will certainly be back. Have to acknowledge the coffee also, which was delicious, I can't remember the last place I've had where the coffee isn't burnt. Forget the likes of Costa etc, the coffee here is fantastic.

Friendly staff and a huge menu. Portion sizes extremely generous for all courses and food quality good. Tables were all a little on the sticky side which detracted from the experience a little, but would return.

Great pizza, nice parmos. Good selection of Italian dishes like pizza and pasta. Friendly staff, good location in Yarm. They offer takeaway collection as well.

First time been in this lovely Italian restaurant it was my birthday today so gave this a try 2 coarse meal early bird food fantastic lively place I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling through Yarm fantastic proper Italian food

Once highly recommended this place, was my go to place. Wouldn't take my dog now & the manager is a wet wipe not providing a knife and fork for a takeaway meal for a long time customer that lives in Durham. Sausage!

Busy, booming and brilliant. Despite three big tables on Friday night the service and food was spot on. At weekend maybe not a place for a quiet romantic dinner but great night - thank you.

This was my 1st time here we were a table of 11 and the service off the young girl was outstanding ,drinks came quickly and orders took smoothly and the food did not disappint it was absolutely beautiful so tasty and very reasonably priced ,I will defo be going back thanks to all the staff very efficient and very friendly and professional

Visited Unos to celebrate my wife’s birthday.From being greeted by the gentleman (Daniel) at the front door to leaving everything was first class. Our food was a variety of Pastas and Pizzas complimented by some magnificent Garlic Bread. We were served mainly by the delightful and very efficient Violet who explained all the dishes in detail and is such a fine asset to this terrific establishment. All in all a great night which culminated in a rousing rendition of a Happy Birthday song to my wife by the waiters ! We will be back for sure.

Gutted only given these 2 stars for last nights visit, usually a good place for food, last night was terrible from the get go, clearly over booked, a birthday party of 17 of us split over different tables crammed in, made to wait till 5:15 to be seated just stood in the restaurant waiting, table was booked for 5 and we all got there for 4:55, starters were mixed up so some people had finished before others had been given the right starter, mains came out quickly after and were decent enough so would have been given 3 stars but then when the bill came out another tables food and drinks were put onto our bill extra £53, thankfully after 10/15 minutes of them looking at what had happened it got changed, usually book here for party’s but won’t in the future

Without booking, have been here several times and taken advantage of the before 6PM 2 course specials. The staff are very attentive, the food is delicious - tried a number of pasta and pizza dishes. I always have their Bruschetta which is the best I have experienced among Italian restaurants visited. The home made Tiramisu never disappoints - if you have room.

What a great restaurant, Been 3 times in last month or so, everytime is as good as the last. Love the mussels, but everything else is just as good. Well worth a visit.

We have been to Yarm many times when visiting family on our return to UK. We have never been in this cafe/restaurant before; but it won't be our last. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The portions are on the large size, but not a problem if you want to share. They have an alcohol license so is great to eat any time of the day. I would recommend this place to anyone or be better still try for yourself.

First visit while up north for a wedding, I / we have eaten Italian food far and wide and this was up there in the top 3 .the portions were amazing, the food was fresh and red hot , the presentation absolutely everything including the staff 10 out of 10

We had the Beef Sunday lunch today. Very good value for money, service was very good. Food was very tasty apart from the Coliflower and Broccoli were not cooked quite enough, they were less than 'al diente'... but everything else was lovely... 😊

My partner and I walked in at lunch and got a table. Lovely, friendly staff and very attentive. I got potato skins with garlic and sweet chilli dip. Red hot, crispy and delicious. Lasagne for main which was also lovely. My partner had salmon omelette with chips and salad. He said he enjoyed it but wouldn’t order it again. We had 2 pots of tea. The bill was £25. Great value. Thank you for an enjoyable meal
