This restaurant it has great Italian dishes very delicious also the staff are very friendly I highly recommend this great restaurant.

The staff were lovely - friendly and attentive.The food was fantastic - best Italian meal I have had in months. The lobster ravioli was delicious and served in a beautiful tomato sauce.Looking forward to a return visit - unfortunately its a 45 minute drive away!.

A very disappointing experience. Serving staff appeared, mostly, to be inexperienced and service was a bit chaotic. We had to ask for cutlery, drinks were brought to our table that we hadn’t ordered, twice. People on the table next to us were still waiting for sides by the time they finished their main course.Food wasn’t great. Ordered chicken Kiev. Chicken which was tough and dry sitting on a plate of congealed garlic butter. First and last visit.

We’ve visited this restaurant many times, never let down! Always quality food and fresh . Staff very attentive and polite specially the manager, never rush you! Remember once my wife wanted to try a new dish which later found not her taste, Adriano got her another meal without any extra cost.Massive thanks to you guys for the top service and amazing food

The food was nothing special. 3 or 4 groups of diners were very noisy, shouting and laughing and generally rowdy. Overall an awful experience. We will not return

Had a meal here Sunday evening so fairly quiet. Given a nice table in the window.Had chicken with mascarpone cheese and peppers in a tomato sauce. Partner had chicken with king prawns. Both enjoyed our meal with plenty to eat and good value. Perhaps the king prawns were a bit expensive at £1 each. Light cheesecake to follow. Draught John Smith's to drink.

Just visiting the area for a race weekend, stayed in the nearby Hilton. Came here as it was close. Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff are friendly and attentive. The layout is great, tables are spread out nicely. The food was quick, hot, delicious, portion sizes are great. We paid £29 for two courses each and two drinks. Bargain. Will return when in the area

My husband and I have been going here since it opened the owners and staff are amazing nothing to much for them! The food is amazing and excellent value for money. I was reading another review about the staff disregarding the Covid-19 rules I have to disagree strongly they are so good you have to scan the code then do your hands and you must wear a mask until you are seated the staff all WEAR there masks this restaurant is fantastic

Just paid a very brief visit to this restaurant. Menu looked nice but we did not stay long enough to try any food. Despite the current Covid-19 restrictions, there was a party of 24 people sat on a long table, with absolutely no social distancing in place. Staff were scant with their use of visors (one was being carried around - not actually worn) and the manager said he didn’t need to wear a mask as he had one dose of the vaccine. We felt unsafe in these conditions so paid for our drinks and left. Would not visit again and would advise others to visit with due caution!

The Food here was fantastic great value for money as well I was made very welcome the owner or manager spoke to me would definitely return and recommend to colleagues in the area.

Staff are great in there can not complain, met the boss a few times he is a nice guy treats you well. The food is the best bit as u go in at happy hour get a 2 course meal for next to nothing but the pizzas are delicious and my wife loves the skins with her favourite garlic sauce

We came across this restaurant when we looking for takeaway treat. The experience with the staff was great from the friendly staff on the phone to the delivery team.The food was delicious and arrived promptly and hot. We chose from the special April offer which was excellent value for restaurant quality food. We have ordered pizza from other restaurant chains and been disappointed with the poorer quality from takeaway, but not here. We had a special occasion at the weekend and ordered again - even better than the first meal and the caramel dessert recommended on the phone, and homemade was amazing! We will all be ordering that next time! Will be visiting when restrictions are eased, but for now Sorriso will be our first choice takeaway. Highly recommend and thank you to all the staff.

A lovely place. We chanced upon it when staying at the nearby Hampton hilton.Value for money is amazing and the food was lovely.I had the "sorriso steak special". It comes in a stack with cheese, chorizo, baked pudding and steak. Amazing. (Goats cheese was not available but was substituted with a huge chunk of halloumi. Perfect)We enjoyed the huge chips also. My wife was slightly less impressed by her pizza. But this was very personal based on how crisp it was. (She likes them almost burnt in my oponion) Nice staff. Spot on food for the meat eater.

Visited here for the first time and it will not be the last. Everyone of us ordered something different from the menu and everything that came was cooked to perfection and well worth it. Combine this with excellent service and I can easily see this becoming a firm favourite, already planning what to order next time.

Bruschetta starter - tiny piece of cold skinny toast buried under a mountain if tomato. Thick warm toast would have been so much nicer, and two pieces would have coped so much better with all that tomato.Calamari - wifey scoffed the lot in short order.Napoli and meat feast pizzas. Perfect. Thoroughly enjoyable.Carrot cake - the carrot is supposed to keep the cake moist - it didn't work for this one.You win some, you lose some.

I’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times. Excellent friendly service. The food is very good value for money. Spotlessly clean. I’d definitely recommend it.

We used the restaurant mid week while staying overnight close by recently. Food was superb standard ,value and portions were huge. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would 100% return.

We have visited sorriso on two occasions since discovering them two weeks ago. The staff were very helpful friendly and went out of their way to make our visits enjoyable. The food was tasty,very well presented, and value for money. We have had both the main menu and Sunday lunch and could not fault this amazing food. Visited here last Saturday 1st August for a family birthday celebration. The service and food were great and all staff very friendly and helpful pleasure to dine here. All social distancing was in place and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Thanks for a great time we will be back soon.

When I called to book a table for 5pm I was asked if we would be ordering from the specials menu. Apparently it changes from a day time special to an evening special at 5pm so we agreed to come in at 4:30 and decide then. Waiting the half hour if we preferred that menu.When we arrived we were asked again would we be ordering from the specials menu (they are obsessed with specials). We said we didn't know as not yet read it. When they came to take the order some of the table ordered from the specials menu, even pointing to it on the menu, but when it came to ordering desserts we were told we hadn't ordered from the specials menu so would be charged full price. We cancelled the desserts and got our bill.Food was 'ok'. Nothing special (pardon the pun) and the staff on Tuesday were not at all welcoming.

Dine out a lot as a couple, with other couples and with workmates and have always found this place the best value for money and the service is superb. Could not recommend it enough.

Visited on a Sunday evening just before 8pm, when the restaurant was due to close, but I was still given a table. I had a pasta dish for £7, which was filling and really tasty. I would happily return and I recommended to colleagues.

We called in for an early tea before the fireworks. It's bigger than it looks from the outside, and there are plenty of tables. We got a really tasty pizza / pasta combo, and friendly service throughout. This was our first visit, but I don't think it will be out last.

Went for our first visit 6pm one night before going to Arc for a show. The meals were all delicious there was five of us and we all had different meals but next time I go I'm gonna try the lobster ravioli with king prawns and sea bass in a lovely sauce it looked lovely. Will def be going again.

Went for Christmas lunch , food lovely ,downside no crackers , kids running all over nobody telling to sit as they're playing with glasses and running in front of waiters , food missed , only forks to eat ice creams etc , I do love the food but for the price I expect a little more didn't feel Christmasy at all , I would return but only on a normal day

Popped in with my friend for lunch. Staff were friendly and efficient, the food was very tasty with portion sizes generous. My only complaint, wearing hearing aids, I found the background music a little loud and at times struggled to hear what my friend was saying. Good value and will return.

Visited with family and the food was great. Well priced as well for stockton. Place is a little large and lack of music means their is no real atmosphere. Overall great food and would recommend.

We’ve been to Sorriso a few times and food is usually very good with decent service. It’s a bit of a cavernous place in terms of size but that has the advantage of tables not being on top of each other. Went one early evening in the last week expecting a nice festive atmosphere and quite a lot of people. It was pretty empty at 7pm and actually felt quite depressing. There’s no Christmas decorations of any kind except a tree as you come in. I think a bit more effort would have been nice.

Went for a meal with friends to catch up before Christmas and exchange gifts. Absolutely no atmosphere in the place. Waiter brought two huge finger bowls for myself and my partner as we'd both ordered mussels but there was nowhere to put our food because of the huge finger bowls so I dragged another table over and put it on the end of ours. Mussels were in a spicy tomatoe sauce which was absolutely gorgeous & homemade bread was yummy but the mussels were horrendous. Every few mussels tasted like poop! My partner's were the same. Such a shame and we both left them. We'd no sooner pushed our plates away and the mains were there. Too quick!

We have just celebrated my partners birthday with a table of 10 and I have to say what great service they provided.

We took a large group of adults with special educational needs to this restaurant as a Christmas treat and I have to say, the staff couldn’t have been better! They were absolutely wonderful, making many, many adaptions to the restaurant and meals for us as well as giving us their undivided attention throughout.

Called in for lunch, found the food very acceptable, and portions generous. Great value lunchtime special offer. Drinks reasonably priced also.

I visit family and friends in Teesside and having discovered Sorriso, wouldn't eat anywhere else. This time I chose the fillet steak, cooked to perfection. In the second night, sizzling seafood platter; also perfect. Both, as in all on the menu, were excellent value. Adriano and the staff are excellent, welcoming, professional and friendly. Look forward to returning soon

Went Monday evening, starters, mains were very generous portions and were delicious, everything cooked to perfection, finished off with a good helping of cheesecake, customer service excellent very friendly and helpful staff, well done to chefs, good value, would definitely recommend.

Another great meal last night,at this amazing place. Thought i would have a change from potato skins, so had black pudding with pepper sauce,it was really,really nice.On too the main meal,my friend had stake,i had roast chicken,with great brown chips,both meal,s were excellent.The owner(Adriano) and all the staff,work so hard,and are so very friendly.Do yourself a favour and visit soon,as i will.

We were told about the early hour offer and thought that the food would not be very good. To the contrary, the food was of good quality, (tasty and well prepared) quantity (good helpings - I couldn’t finish mine) and the service was efficient and friendly. We are arranging to go back for a group meal (17 of us).

Visited on a Sunday evening , the staff were welcoming and the food was delicious, served hot and great variety of vegetables , chips were homemade , we were alsogiven some delicious garlic bread whilst waiting for our meal - we never mind waiting for freshly prepared food but it was a lovely touch, the restaurant is large but still gives off a lovely ambiance with the lighting and the staff were lovely -would certainly return when in the area again

Seven of us biotech in for lunch and drinks. Service was excellent and the meals served in homely and efficient manner. 1 chicken, 4 lamb & 2 carbonara. The portions were generous and well cooked. Overall a very good and pleasant experience, highly recommended.

Just walking by after shopping trip & seen there chalk board so thought we would give it a try. pleasant surroundings we had the afternoon special menu, which was well worth the money starter & Pasta or Pizza then ice cream. Food was lovely

Eat out at least weekly. Since we found this restaurant the first time it quickly became our favorite. We now probably eat here regularly, more than any other restaurants. My wife and I go as a couple, we also go with other couples, go with work colleagues, go with family and also as one with couples, work colleagues, family and friends. Service is superb, food plentiful, first class quality, good choice, brilliant staff and prices very, very reasonable. Can't say enough good about this restaurant.

Called in for a meal at the last minute and were totally blown away by the food. Delucious, fresh, generous portions and cooked perfectly. We couldn't believable luck, especially when the bill came, so we visited again the following week and it was just as good.

Called in for dinner after reading good reviews. Very disappointed. I had the prawn and salmon starter, the prawns were very tough and clearly from the freezer on rapid defrost making them pretty inedible. The veggie pizza was ok except for the raw tasting onion. My friend had lobster ravioli in a spicy sauce which was very overpowering with poorly cooked rubbery lobster. The surrounding are quite tired looking with a general unclean look about the place. It’s cheap though so I guess you get what you pay for. I’m surprised at so many 5 star ratings as this certainly wasn’t my experience

We all met at Sorriso for the third time this year and ordered our meals. The service was excellent for drinks & food despite it being very busy.

Sunday, mid afternoon, closing day of the Riverside festival, after some shopping and watching the activity in the High Street, expected the restaurant to be more full.

A really lovely place. The happy italian atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff make this venue a brilliant choice to visit. The menu is great value for money, even if you visit when there is no deals on, its very good value! The decor and music really add to a traditional italian venue, its spaciuous inside so you are relaxed when sitting with friends and family. The tiramasu is delicious too! Worth a visit!!

Phoned 1120am and booked a table for two for 1pm today 7/72019 and was told "we will be waiting for you".Arrived dead on time and was shown to a table.Two young ladies took our drinks orders and they were delivered.The sunday lunch menu is short and sweet and does not take a lot of picking.After ten minutes I had to get up and catch an eye to get someone to take our food order.Now you would think with only two choices for starters on sunday they would arrive pretty quickly.No, after another 15 minutes with nothing on the horizon and what looked like a couple who arrived after us getting our starters we had had enough and walked out. This was the third time we had been here for Sunday lunch.You can bet there will not be a fourth.

tried this Saturday night and loved it.great food and service. I had the lemon garlic squid starter followed by sorriso (spicy) for my main, both terrific. Italian beers lovely too. all in all a lovely evening.

The food was average but I couldn’t take my eyes of the dirty finger marks all over the doors and as my friend pointed out the stench of damp. Very Bates motel and grim but if you want cheap no fuss it’s ok. If you want authentic and tasty NO. Menu salmon steak on a bed of mashed potato served with a fish cake. WTF !!

This new restaurant may be going to be be good but they need to sell hot but not on old plates. You shouldn't have to go to the bar to ask for dessert and can't decide whether they were being ultra relaxed with their service or couldn't be bothered.

My sister in law booked a table for a family meal. The service and the food was excellent and such good value. We are from the south of England and would love to have this restaurant close to us. We loved it that much we went back for lunch the next day which again was superb and amazing value at £4.95 for three courses and entertainment thrown in too. Loved it!

Chose this restaurant to celebrate my sons 1st holy communion with the family due to the location and also offers we had seen. Group of 19 of us and not one left disappointed. Most of the adults went for the 4.95 3 course special, both soup and potato skins being ordered and portion sizes were surprisingly good when came out along with the quality. Main courses were also enjoyed by all, especially the kids menu dishes, my 9yr old demolished all his pizza which rarely happens. Dessert of either ice cream or coffee followed and the perfect end to a fantastic meal. We also had unexpected music from Stockton stages while eating which the children loved.

Located on the edge of Stockton town centre, Sorriso is well worth a visit. We visited on the basis of location and the fact we could get a group table on a saturday night at relatively short notice. I ordered the potato skins for a starter. These were tasty and well presented. The portion size was ideal for a starter. The menu spanned the range of steak, pasta and pizza. I had a meat feast pizza for my main with a side salad. This was delicious. Thin pizza base with decent toppings at £7.95 and at represented very good value.The salad has good variety and suited the pizza well.Overall a little gem of an Italian restaurant, good food, good prices and good service.

I had the most vile experience visiting Stockton on tees, never seen so many horrible people in my life knocking about. However, visiting this place restored my faith in humanity and the food is excellent! A 6/5 rating from me, excellent value for money and fantastic menu.

Popped in for lunch with my two daughters and granddaughter for the first time. The service was good, the surroundings bright and clean and the food was delicious, with the portions being generous. The lunch time special is great value with a good choice of pizzas or pastas, and a nice choice on the children’s menu. I can’t wait to return with my husband as I was impressed and shall probably have the Calzone pizza again as it was delicious.

We've visited her a few times and food is always good (pizzas delicious) but every time we visit we find the service gets slower, usually waiting for what feels like forever between courses, waiting more than10 minutes for half a cup of lukewarm coffee today was enough to make us think twice about returning.

Had lunch here today, Monday, and was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was. Really friendly staff who were very concerned about the work going on in the restaurant & apologetic about it too but it had no bad effect on our seating arrangement or the quality of the food.

Had lunch here on my birthday. We both had pizza with chips to share. Everything was delicious and served by friendly staff. Prices are really reasonable.

Went for a meal one evening and enjoyed it so much went back the next day for the 3 course lunch = for £4.95!! There is an extensive menu and every dish that we had was very tasty. All had a decent quantity too, including the lunch dishes. Drinks were reasonably priced and the wine was of good quality . The complimentary limoncello was a nice touch. Well worth a try.

Value for money at £4.99 for three course meal. Somewhere along the road they have forgotten to use tomatoes in a sauce. Nicely furnished. Staff very attentive. Toilets need repairs.

Dined in here last night with colleagues as was not disappointed! There is a special 3 course menu on Tuesdays nights, so I got 3 courses for £14.95! Bargain! Friendly staff and the food is delicious! Really handy and near if you are staying at the new Hilton hotel around the corner!

This is our 2nd visit and we weren’t disappointed. The food is delicious, freshly prepared and super value for money. The staff are very attentive and extremely welcoming. If you have a celebration the staff go out if their way to make it special. Sunday lunch is next on the agenda followed by the three course special deals on either a Monday or Tuesday night. If your in town at lunchtime pop along for a 3course special at less than a fiver. Can’t wait to return. Thank you one and all.

I booked in via facebook for a 70th birthday party with 16 of us and paid a deposit in advance, i arrived for 1pm when we made the booking and they said it was 1:30pm so table was not ready. WE were told to 'just sit there' while we go the table ready and one of our party was in a wheelchair so i think the table should have been ready instead of us having to wait near the bar, we had to order drinks ourselves whilst the guy went off to organise the table. The food was average and a loose interpretation of italian. The bill was hard to understand as hand written the wine was just awfull.I wont be rushing back and i would suggest the improve their manners a little
