Lovely restaurant inside but food burnt and service not good rushed to order has the was a party in all customers should be treated same and not be pressured to order fast

This is without doubt a great place to eat food excellent service excellent always busy

Lovely place and very tasty food

Food was fantastic, but we were not allowed to buy a glass of wine at 9pm, which was odd when eating dinner. However, food and service was outstanding

We had deep fried Mozzarella and Belly pork with black pudding to start and Chicken in peppercorn sauce and a T bone steak. The food was excellent, the service was prompt and with a smile. Would definitely recommend this restaurant

Food portions have reduced since we started going here. We had 6 chips in the bowl, chicken Kiev was very small definetly not value for money

Food was great and portions big. Served quickly with lovely staff. However, the waitress doing the catwalk every 2 mins was very distracting. We nearly had to ask her to stop it was strange. It was sooo hot in there too and very smoky.

We were extremely disappointed at the quality of food especially with such high rating. The ribeye steak though ordered medium rare was over cooked and tough. It was obviously a medium or well done. The Bolognese pasta was also disappointing. I would not visit this place again.

We visited for Sunday lunch, food was lovely, fast and well priced. Staff are friendly. Well worth a visit.

What a lovely place. I ate here four nights in row while in Stockton and every day was greeted with great service and great food. Super attentive and such good value (portions are massive!). Worth every star and thank you.

Good quality food at a reasonable price with a fantastic service

Was here on business for 2 days and the hotel menu was very poor and they mentioned they come here. I was apprehensive but wat a super place , good value YES, super tasty food YES, know how to cook a steak YES Only downside is I have to go home but will be back for work so this will be a regular place.

Fantastic italian food, the staff here are amazing! Someone in our party forgot their scarf and a staff member actually ran down the street to return it to us! The food is always good amd excellent value, we love coming here again amd again

went for dinner with a friend, we both had different chicken dishes that not only looked the same but tasted as if an extra ingredient was added to one sauce. the chicken was a bit tough. I had visited over a year ago and had much better food! To add to the experience, service charge was added without consent. We asked to split the bill on card as we generally leave cash as a tip. A charge was added without being asked!. Needless to say we will not return

I'd never ever go on that place again. A lady heavil pregnant and her little boy almost killed. The little baby ran off . Doors were chocked open. Onto a busy High Street . The staff stood watching as heavily pregnant lady ran as fast as she could. Screaming for her son to stop. Both the little boy and his mummy and unborn baby was by this time in the middle of the road!!!!!!! The door should not be jammed over as there fire doors......When I called to speak to the manager.He said he keeps the door jammed open because of the heat in his restaurant. Hi advice was that the mother of the baby should keep a better eye on him.Im disgusted at this attitude and the staff ... . Itis against the law to jar fire doors open so I Will be getting onto Stockton council about this . This could have been Fatal .😡😡😡😡😡😡

Great food. They had Halal chicken. The staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait a long time before the food was served. The only thing that may not have been satisfactory on our visit was the quality of pictures we could get. The aesthetics of the restaurant was good, but equally good lightning would have uplifted the entire feel of the interior. Overall great experience

Ordered a cabonara, arrived cold, asked for a fresh one, new meal was in front of me very very quickly, could tell it had just been reheated as the pasta was rubbery and the lack of any kind of sauce which was big tell tale signs, safe to say I don't plan on returning any time in the near future *edit in reply to Sorriso* I politely decline the offer of a free desert due to being an insulin dependant diabetic on a specific diet. That being said, I however cannot complain a out the friendliness of the staff

I enjoyed a lovely, freshly cooked meal here last week. It was extremely busy, so I was pleased we had booked a table. It's right opposite the Globe theatre, so it's ideal for a meal before your show. I can recommend this place but you certainly need to book to avoid lengthy queues.

What a find, couldn't get at Carppacio on a Saturday night without booking, so went to sorriso opposite the globe, wow fantastic, food was great as was the prices. Perfer it to Carppacio now , but for a steak you'll never beat Carppacio 👍👍

It was my first time at the restaurant and it wasn't a busy time we ate midweek so not busy and it was my birthday, So the family had took me here for a new experience, I found it to be a mediocre night, there was a long wait on food and they had some technical issues smoky in room and they had to open the door, the staff tried to be accommodating but it was in my opinion a let down. I think we over paid for the quality of food I could taste spices from another dish in my parmo. I'm sure this experience isnt indicative of the usual standards however I'll not rush back.

Popular restaurant in Stockton Town Centre. Gets very busy before shows at the Globe so would recommend booking if going for a pre-theatre meal. Food decent and very reasonably priced.

My first visit and it was good. Initially disappointing as we'd booked, but on walking in there is no wait here to be served sign and also no one around. We eventually walked to the bar and there were plenty of staff there but they all ignored us. Eventually my wife managed to attract someone's attention. They took us to a table but didn't ask for the name of the booking. After a shaky start, we ordered chicken in a pepper sauce and a diavola parmo. Both were really nice, but I'd have preferred my parmo if the chilli had been fresh chilli or jalapeños rather than dried chilli powder. The fresh vegetables were nice and the food was good value. The only other thing we noticed was that the restaurant emptied quite early for a Saturday night. I'm not sure if they do cheaper meals earlier on, but it felt like visiting a restaurant mid-week that serves tea time specials and then not much afterwards. Nicely decorated, but slightly too dark (menu reading was a challenge). I'd be happy to go again for another meal.

Went for the Sorriso. It was absolutely delicious. It's got a bit of a kick which delivers loads of flavour. Finished the lot. You get a great portion and it was very good value for money. The restaurant itself is very well decorated. Candles on the table give the place a real homely cosy feel. The waiters and waitresses were very welcoming, polite and provided excellent service. Can't wait to go back again soon. There were quite a few in on a Monday night which says a lot. I took the photo with no-one in it out of respect for other diners.

Went with family, they brought out the food at different times, my food came out when everyone else was nearly finished, very disappointed. Food was lovely.

Had a very nice meal here before the theatre. Well defined booking times to allow for theatre goers that you were informed about too. Food was great, drinks were a little slow at times.

Had the manager Christmas Dinner there. Food was on point and plenty of it. Was needing a lie down after. Would definitely go back when in the area.

We arrived early, but they were happy to accommodate us. The muscles in spicy tomato source was the best I have had and the portion size was phenomenal. I had the steak medallions with blue cheese source, I asked for rare and that is exactly what I got. We have been several times now and the food has always been consistent. We will be going back soon. We think that the meals we had were excellent value for money.

If I could give 0 stars I would, but I can’t, so I will give a one. Came here on a family outing, looking for good time and a good meal. To put it simply, these things were not supplied. The owner was rude to customers, and I would go as far as to say, abusive to staff members. I would not recommend taking your family here, or even going here in general. Absolutely appalling behaviour on the part of the owner.

I cannot believe anyone would spend money here, I am appalled by this owner horrid behaviour. The food that you eat is made by tax fraud. He commits that tax fraud so he doesn’t have to pay child support for his ex family who are living on benefits! Do not support this man business unless you want to support fraud and poverty! I am furious! Appalled! He is a peculiar man do not go her! He is abusive towards staff and customers unless you want to eat raw uncooked food this is the place to be. This man is a retched human being!!!!

Place that you come as a customer but always guarantee to leave as a friend. Adrian is the most loveliest restaurant owner you could ever meet, nothing is a problem and if it is, it’s resolved there and then. He accommodates my disabled father in a wheelchair every time and often greets him. He will ask if he is not there, what is wrong. It’s a personal service you receive as well as a customer service. His food is spot on, never ever have I had a bad dish in the years I’ve been going and always fresh and piping hot. Great location next to the Globe Theatre and just an outstanding place.

First visit. Won't be our last. Smashing meal. Great service. Well done

I like it here. It can often appear to look closed from the outside- so do double check if you think it's closed, it may not be. It's a dimmed lighting style place. A traditional evening style restaurant with a modern twist. The service is ok. They staff serving do their job to a satisfactory level. It's a mid range price and I'd say very fair for the good quality of food. Sadly there isn't parking immediately close but about a 5 minute walk away. You could get dropped off at the front door by car. Bus stops about 5 to 10 minute walk away.

Unsure how anyone could leave a bad review. Amazing all around, thank you guys, see you all real soon.

It's close to the hotel, so I visit every time I go on a business trip. I was satisfied with the food and service every time, and would like to visit again any time!!

I stopped here for a quick meal whilst on a business trip. The atmosphere was quite nice but noisy and the layout felt strangely impersonal... Kinda cluttered whilst also being too spaced out... Strange Service was pretty good, staff were attentive but I felt some of them were quite new and inexperienced. The food was really excellent though. The fillet steak was delicious (slightly overcooked but close enough) and the sauce was delicious. The prices are reasonable and portions were generous too! If I'm ever up this was again I'll definitely pop in.

THE best steak on the surf and turf, medium rare! Great atmosphere though tables are too close together for my liking. The deep fried Brie was lovely but would be better with the dip from the halloumi. Didn’t have room for dessert but I will next time!

Lovely place, great attentive staff. Make sure you book in advance if you're going to the globe theatre that's opposite the restaurant as they had to turn a lot of people away as they were at full capacity. Would definitely recommend. Very reasonable prices and good selection of food and drink.

Just had a lovely evening here for our wedding anniversary. Food was lovely, kids enjoyed their pizza's, lovely atmosphere and will certainly come back

Daughters 21st Birthday Meal last night - amazing food & fantastic service as always

I've eaten here on half a dozen occasions now and the food is reasonable. The service can be slow. Stockton doesn't have many good restaurants but this is one of the better ones.

My daughter went 2 days ago food was disgusting all 3 meals her and her friends but they are only young so didn't want to complain but said the food had an off taste to it all 3 have been poorly since with bad tummies

We hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy due to a show at the theatre, however we were found a table straight away. Two other people who had been seated well after us had their drinks and food order taken whilst we were still waiting to order even drinks. Eventually a lovely young man took both our food and drink order. I had ordered a large white wine which unfortunately when it arrived was very warm. I doubt the bottle had ever seen the fridge. I ordered a second drink of lager as I knew this would be chilled. No one questioned why? Our food arrived, Lasagne and rib eye steak in peppercorn sauce and chips. The Lasagne was bland and tasteless. The steak was overcooked and small for the price. Neither of us enjoyed our food and what struck me was not one single employee bothered to ask if everything was OK. We left the warm wine and most of our food and got out of there fast. We will not return.

Cheep and cheerful Italian, I love having this so close by. It's perfect for a family gathering or a mid week catch up with friends. It's location close to the globe theatre is perfect although it does mean we not have to be more organised and book in advance for theatre nights.

Service is prompt and Steak is great.

Food was outstanding, however, we were well overcharged for drinks, but it was quickly rectified when we pointed it out. This issue will not stop us going back.

Been here millions of times, never had a bad meal...ever!! Sea bass is one of my faves!! But love a parmo or a fungi pizza and sometimes a cheeky fillet steak 🥩 Always gorgeous!! Christmas Dinner is also Fab!!!!

Friendly staff,clean and food was hot! Staff were really helpful service was really good Only downside was small portion sizing for chips. And food came suspiciously quick less than 5 minutes from ordering (1 Parmesan 1 lasagna) so unsure if it had been microwaved. Chips were homemade and lovely. Lasagna was nice. Parmesan was average. Lovely decor and service

Is a nice atmosphere here and the staff are all friendly and helpful. My son and I went for tea and ordered tomato garlic bread to start which was ok, but nowhere near as good as Borges tomato garlic bread. My son had pepperoni pizza and ate all of it so must if enjoyed it. I had the parmo with pepperoni and chilli. It had hardly any bechamel sauce on it and the chicken was quite thin. I also got literally 6 chips. Yes they were chunky chips but considering you don't get salad (unless you pay 2.50 for it) and the parmo was quite small and thin I don't think that it was good value at £12.95. Anyway, my son enjoyed his pizza so that's the main thing. Will stick to borges in future.

Been here a few times! Not a bad meal yet Great atmosphere lovely staff! Went new year's eve with my partner Steve and we both had the most amazing Steak au poure and we both agreed it was the best we have ever had! Going back on 9Th may for my birthday and taking a crowd of 18 of my friends! Can't wait 😊😊💘

First time going here. From walking in the staff were very friendly and polite. Didn't wait long for food to arrive either especially as it was just before a show over the road so pretty busy. Food was really nice and would definitely go again. Loved the decor and atmosphere.

Two visits now and many more to come. Absolutely fantastic food and the staff are fantastic. Wholeheartedly recommend a visit.
